The familiar voice announced before leaving the room and shutting the door behind him, the voice was Aamon's roommate who routinely had to deal with Aamon's habit of sleeping in. But it wasn't as if he had slept in until afternoon, no he had been awoken at 4:28 a.m. when he was supposed to be awoken at 4:00 a.m. The servants and maids always had to wake up early so they could prepare themselves for the day as well for the royal family who were sleeping soundly upstairs and wouldn't awaken until hours later. Aamon has been employed as a servant for the royal family for only a month, meaning his work was usually out of sight of the family because he lacked experience and professionalism, at least that's what his boss told him. He got up from his bed with a light yawn before heading over to his dresser to put on his uniform, he decided not to take a shower as a way of saving himself some time so he could have some breakfast before readying the day for the royal family. The boy, after making himself presentable, headed out of his room and to the dining room to grab a quick breakfast. After eating a biscuit or two he headed upstairs to water all the plants in the palace, later he would go wash the windows and floors with the help of other staff members. Aamon began watering the potted plants in the main room where other servants and maids were making themselves busy. 'Ah! Aamon, lay these clothes out for Master Ilettio for me.' A red haired maid pushed the clothes into Aamon's hands, taking the watering can he had been holding and setting it down on a table near by. "Why can't you do it?" He asked a bit annoyed, he had never entered the bedrooms of the royal family and wasn't meant to for it was a maids job or a butlers but definitely not his. 'One of the other girls is sick so I have to take on her work load...Just do it, he'll be asleep so you have nothing to worry about & don't forget to take the clothes on the floor to the laundry room.' The red haired girl hurried past Aamon before pointing him in the direction of the room and he followed her directions, he didn't want to do it but it couldn't be helped. Aamon peeked his head in the room as he opened the door to check if the young Lord was asleep, which he was. The room was quite dark but spacious so Aamon hardly found it difficult to navigate through the room. He set down Ilettio's clothes on the end of his bed, he headed over to a curtain and opened it enough to allow him to see the room more but made sure the light wouldn't disturb the young Lord's sleep. "He does look frightening..." Aamon glanced over towards the young man sleeping, Ilettio looked as intimidating as the maids said he did. Moving closer Aamon picked up the clothes that were lying next to the bed, after dropping them off in the laundry room he could get back to his own work which he was happy about. Aamon preferred not to be yelled at by any of the older staff members because they thought he was being lazy when in fact he was helping a fellow worker. Kotorichan Posted February 23, 2017 Share Posted February 23, 2017 It was past noon when Ilet awoke, roused by the light his butler Louis let in through the curtains of the huge bay window which overlooked the palace grounds. The crowned prince groaned and pulled the covers over his head in protest. "What're you doing?" He grumbled. A soft sigh escaped Louis' lips. He had worked as Ilet's personal caretaker and butler since the prince was born, making him more of a parent than either the king or queen. It hadn't been easy. Louis was technically a servant so he could never be too firm with the prince. Besides that, the two weren't even the same species. Ilet was a pure blooded dragon, a perfectly regal and vicious being. Whereas Louis was a demon, a much more human-like creature. "Your highness, you have duties to attend to today. You must get dressed." Louis said firmly. Finally Ilet pulled himself out of bed, stretching his arms. It didn't bother him in the slightest that he was completely naked."It smells different in here, did the maid change her perfume or something?" He observed, pulling on his clothing. "No your highness, the usual maid was sick today so a different one had to fill in for her. Does this one displease you?" Louis responded. "No, I like how this one smells better. Have this one take over for the previous maid." Ilet finished dressing himself and pushed his long hair over his shoulders so it would cascade down his back, almost reaching his hips. "Of course your highness, I will take care of that immediately." Louis bowed deeply. The two left the room, Ilet taking the lead. The prince made his way to the dining room where he would take his breakfast. Meanwhile Louis headed to the servants quarters to find out which servant covered for the maid.
