Akira started getting hungry. He and Fuji have been watching television

at his appartment for a while now. Last time he ate was this morning,

before leaving to work, and now it was almost midnight. Thinking about it,

it has been a while since his childhood friend came to his place. Aki has

been so busy since he left his parent's place and found a job that they barely

got time to meet. "Aaah..~" sighs Akira, "If only I didnt have to work today,

we could've done more than watching television." He does like watching

television, but he and Fuji used to do much more exciting stuff than that.

Akira often thought about how he missed being with Fuji all the time but

he knew he didnt make a bad decision living by himself. His parents wouldn't

be here forever. He's a man after all, he should be able to live by himself.

The short boy's stomach growls suddenly started to get worse, so much he

couldn't deny it anymore. "I think my stomach's trying to tell me I should

eat, haha" Aki said looking at Fujimaru, a bit embarassed. "Wanna eat?"

He smiles at his childhood friend. As much Akira prefered home made food,

he didnt have anything in his fridge at the moment. It's been only a week since

he moved in after all. "Umm.. We could call or walk to the nearest fast food.

Which do you pick?" He didnt really give Fuji a choice since he was already

this hungry. The brown-haired boy stared at Fujimaru, waiting for his reply.

Fujimaru sat on the couch next to his childhood friend, gently leaning against the others shoulder, yes this was something he had definitely missed, they were both adults now and they had to take care of themselves they couldn't just sit around all day like they used to which was so disappointing. He was really watching the television he was just sitting there with his eyes closed, enjoying the moment, they wouldn't be able to do this as often as he would like to.

 

It wasn't until Aki's stomach growled that he openednhis eyes and turned his head to look at the shorter male, he chuckled softly "I'm a little hungry to so I'm definitely up for getting something to eat" he got up from his place on the couch and looked down at the other who was still seated there "I think we should walk! Were going to be eating junk food so its best we get some exercise!" he said seriously before laughing a little "I'm good with any place that can give me a burger and fries so its your choice really" he stated, ready to follow Aki anywhere he wanted to go. He grabbed his sneakers from beside the couch and slipped them on, of course he wouldn't want to go outside with only his socks to protect his feet.

Getting his answer, Aki got up and smiled at his friend.

"Yep, I totally agree with you." he said, chuckling a bit.

"And some fresh air wouldn't hurt too" Akira put his shoes

on before leading Fuji outside of the appartment. He

proceeded by locking the door and going down the stairs.

He was on the ground-floor but still had few stair to go

down. Akira made sure to live in a ground-floor appartment

so he wouldn't need to be too conscious about noises, mostly

in case he invited Fujimaru.

 

The small boy finally reached the

outside and stood there for few seconds. There wasn't

many choices of fast food available this late, but they were

in totally opposite directions. 'Umm.. Burger Queen or

Mc Dinner? Both are as bad..' thought Akira. He thought about

it a little more before making his choice. "Burger Queen, here

we come!" exclaimed Aki before quickly hiding his own mouth.

"Woops, probably shouldn't yell at this time, haha." Akira

gestured Fuji to follow him and took the lead. "It feels good

to finally be able to relax, you know?" he said, slowing his pace

a bit to match Fuji's. "I've been working my ass off for a whole

week and I finally can breathe!" Akira chuckled while slightly

closing the distance between both of them. "It really feels good

being able to walk with you and have fun like before." They

were almost shoulders to shoulders when Aki stopped going

closer. Well, more like shoulders to arm.

 

 

 

Akira really felt at ease when being near Fujimaru. Maybe that's

why he started feeling attracted to him? It was now almost

natural for him to be this close. He even often surprised himself

thinking he'd like being closer to Fujimaru but he pushed the thoughts

away almost immediately. Aki is a man and so is his friend and, he

would never admit loving a boy, because he isn't gay. But he still

couldn't deny that his childhood friend was more than special to him.

Akira silently stopped to stare at Fujimaru, then smiled. Not saying

anything, he goes back to where he was, by Fuji's side. Walking

as close as he did before until finally reaching the fast food.

 

The boy opened the door for both himself and Fuji, gestured his friend

to get in first while flashing a smile, then followed him inside to look

at the menu. After looking through the multiples choices again and again,

Aki finally settled and went to order. "I'll take a double Queen Burger, no

pickles, with a large fries" Aki asked. "Oh, and a big glass of water,

with ice please." Akira paid, chose a seat and waited for Fujimaru

to start eating. "What did you get?" he asked as he was taking a

bite from his burger.

"Yeah, fresh air is always good." He smiled and headed outside, he waited for Aki lock up his apartment before he started walking down the stairs, with his long legs he was able to go down two steps at at a time with ease. Being tall had many pros but it also had its fair share of cons. He liked the apartment that Aki had gotten, it was nicer than his own, though perhaps his was only bad because it was kind of in a mess all the time as he never found the time to clean it.

 

Fujimaru waited patiently at the bottom of the stairs for the smaller boy to decide where they would be going for their midnight snack "Burger Queen sounds good to me but yeah you're right we should be too loud or well wake someone up" he chuckled softly "I know I would be really mad if I was suddenly woken up around this time" he stuck his tongue out playfully " oh boy do I know what you mean... I mean I love my work and all but its really amazing to get some down time to hang out with my bestie" he put his hand on the others shoulder as they walked along.

 

Fujimaru had missed this just messing around with Aki, he wished they could have stayed kissed forever so they wouldn't have a care in the world and they could just sit around and watch TV if that's what they wanted to do but alas everyone has to grow up sometime, he was just glad they were still friends after all this time since not everyone can stay friends forever. His feelings towards Aki went a little beyond just friendship but that wasn't something he wanted to admit to anyone not even himself after all Aki was straight and he didn't want to jeopardize what they had.

 

"Thank you" he went inside the fast food place and then held the door for the younger to come in. He waited in line behind Aki while he ordered his food. Once the other retrieved his food he headed to grab then a table while Fuji ordered his own food.

 

"I got the same as you only my burger has pickles and I got some cola instead of water" he replied as he sat down with his food "Was there anything you wanted to talk about?" he asked, munching on one of his fries.

Akira chuckled when his friend told him what he bought.

"Did you take the same thing on purpose?" teased the

smaller one. He ate few fries before replying to his friend

question. "Oh actually, I have a question." Aki ate

more fries and took a sip of water before continuing.

"I have a day off tomorrow and as you know, we

haven't really been able to completely catch up." The short

boy looked at Fujimaru and grinned. "If you have time, wanna

hang out again?" as he said that, Akira took few fries and put

them in his mouth."We could jog, go to the arcade or even

maybe a movie?" he looked really enthusiastic while

asking Fuji. The younger one was really hoping his childhood

friend had free time the next day, otherwise, it would be

another boring day. "I could even cook for you

tomorrow." he said while smiling just at the idea.

"Aaah, but only because homemade food is better than fast

food." promptly specified Aki, looking away nervously. Akira

was actually a good cook because of his preference for

homemade meals but lately, he felt too tired because of his

work and moving so he never took the time to go buy groceries.

He ate the rest of his double Queen Burger and stared at Fuji.

Fuji laughed "I'm not gonna lie, I did get the same food on purpose" He drank some of his soda "Ask away." he wondered what it was that Aki wanted to ask him "Oh, of course! i would love to hang out again, i do have work till noon though but after that I'm free for the rest of the day." he replied with a smile, boy getting to hang out with Aki two days in a row it was great "Okay, we could jog to the arcade and when we were done there we could catch a movie!" he gave the other a thumbs up "Definitely, home cooked over fast food any day." honestly nothing beat a good home cooked meal, unfortunately he hadn't been able to have a nice home cooked meal recently as he's been busy with work and well.... he's not even the best cook so he's just been living off of protein shakes and fast foods which isn't really the best diet.

 

He finished up with his burger and fries, still sipping on his soda he looked over at Aki who was staring at him "So, what time did you want to meet up? also were we going to do anything else tonight? or should we call it a night?" he inquired, resting his chin on his hand.

The boy was delighted to hear Fujimaru agreeing to

his plans. Akira was so happy he couldn't hold himself

from grinning like an idiot in front of his friend. "All

my suggestions? Well I guess it's gonna be one charged

day! Though, I would've liked seeing you all day. Work is

work!" he said chuckling. He would've preferred for Fuji to

be free the whole day but work was also important.

"Umm, what should I make you," Akira looked away for

a second before correcting himself, flustered. "Huh us, for

dinner tomorrow?" Aki ate the rest of the fries while

drinking his water and started rubbing his stomach. "Haah,

it hits the spot haha!" The shorter boy really needed it, he

hadn't eaten anything since morning and it felt to him as if

he was reviving. "Umm, meet up." thought Aki out loud.

"I mean, we don't have anything planned and I thought you

could've slept over." The boy sighed in disappointment. "But

you're working tomorrow morning and it's already midnight

so.. I think we should call it a night." Akira got up, took Fuji's

tray and his, and put it all in the trash. "Ah and for meet up,

come over right after work?"

"Well, i don't know when we'll get to hang out again after tomorrow so i thought it would be best if we did as much as we could. I'm sure we'll both have the day off at the same time eventually and then we can spend as much time together as you'd like" he said with a kind smile. Fujimaru chuckled "You can make whatever you're best at making or just anything you like, i don't mind eating anything." he replied, yeah he was definitely fine with eating anything that Aki made.

 

"Maybe i can sleep over another time, it sounds like it would be fun." damn why did he have to work tomorrow, it was such a bother "Well, i guess i should be heading home then" he said with a pout "After work? yeah that sounds good, you can text me the details of where you wanna meet up or would you just like to meet up at your place?"

"Yea I agree. The more we do, the best."

replied Akira, smiling just at the idea. Spending

a day with Fuji will be refreshing after this

hell of moving and working. "Anything heh?"

he said, holding his chin. "Umm... Then a

surprise it is!" It was a surprise even for Akira

himself since he had no idea yet. He would

probably find one while buying the groceries

tomorrow morning.

 

"It WILL be fun." Akira chuckled a bit. "After

all, you'd be with me. Also, we should say or

text our days off to plan ahead next time." He

couldn't remember a time where they didn't enjoy

themselves together. Aki was never bored with

Fujimaru. "Yea same, I should sleep early with

what we're planning. I also need to buy groceries

before meeting with you." The boy was a bit

disappointed not having his childhood friend over

tonight, but the fact he was gonna meet him the

next day made him satisfied. "Oh, the meet up place.

Umm.. My place sounds nice. It's a nice distance for

jogging to the arcade and it will let me time to

prepare." The shorter boy went outside and looked

back at his friend. "Good night Fuji." he said,

waving his hand. He then left to his appartment.

Akira sat in his bed and yawned. He was so excited

he stayed up late preparing and thinking about the

dinner he'd make later today. The boy got up and

ate a quick breakfast that consisted of bacon, eggs

and a glass of orange juice. He then brushed his

teeth and took a quick shower before getting his

pair of jeans and t-shirt he carefully picked the night

before. Aki was about to leave but, noticing something

was missing, he went back to get his wallet. He went

to the grocery store and got what he needed for the

week and few extra for today's dinner. He would

receive Fuji after all, they would need snacks

afterwards. Back home, Aki put everything where it

belonged, ate lunch, and watched television until his

friend arrived.

"Yes, Yes; a surprise would be good" he said cheerfully, already feeling excited for the next day even though he still had to work before they got to doing anything but he wasn't going to let that stop him froming looking forward to their plans. It was going to be one of the best days that he's had in a while and that was for sure.

 

"Oh, i can garauntie it'll be fun" he nodded, agreeing with the younger "Yeah, definitely. I'll check my schedule when i get the chance and then i'll text you the details, then you can tell me if we have any days off at the same time" he hoped that they would get many more days to spend together. Fujimaru placed his hand on his best friend's head and smiled down at him "Sleep well" he said "Oh yeah and meeting at your place sounds like a good idea if we'd be able to just jog to the arcade" a hint of excitement was evident in his voice.

 

"Goodnight!" he waved back at the smaller male as he was on his way, hmm... he was so excited he wondered if he would even be able to get any sleep tonight.

Fujimaru through his bed covers off and was up in a minute, there was no time to waste laying around in bed! today was a very important one. He took a quick shower, got dressed and grabbed a protien shake from his fridge before he was off to work. He recalled the previous night and all the plans they had made for today "Oh man, i'm excited for today" he said to himself.

 

After work he quickly went home to freshen up before heading over to Aki's place, he gently knocked on the door while sipping on a protien shake that he had picked up at home when he went to freshen up.

When he heard the door, Aki right away

jumped out of the couch and went to the

door. Oh will this day be awesome! Aki

have been impatient about it since last

night so he couldn't calm himself. The boy

opened the door visibly in the best mood

possible. "Hey Fuji, come in." Akira sighed

at the sight of the protein shake. His

friend has had this bad habit as far as he

can remember. "You should get proper

meals sometimes, you know?" he said

opening the fridge a bit concerned. Akira

took a bottle of water and two apples.

He threw one at Fujimaru and went back

to his side. "Eat that, I'll make dinner when

we get back." He smiled gently at his

childhood friend before continuing. "Do you

want to rest a bit before leaving or you're fine? "

The small smile that had been on Fuji's face widened when the door opened revealing his best friend, Aki just like himself seemed excited for the day ahead "Hi, Aki." he stepped inside and watched the brown haired boy get something from the fridge "Oh thank you" he said after catching the apple "I don't really find the time to make anything for myself" he chuckled "and besides protein shakes are great" he added, he gently rolled the apple around in his hand "Nah i don't have to rest, I'm ready to go- i don't think I'd be able to wait another minute" he admitted, heading out the door which he had only come through seemingly just a moment ago.
