"Another new manager?" A singer with black hair and blue eyes complained. He was sitting on the floor in a corner of the boss's office playing a handheld video game. This boy could be found on posters everywhere from teen girls' rooms to stores that sold his movies or CDs. The male was known for his singing and acting all around the world... and yet... here he was on the floor in a corner of the room. Though, the boss seemed use to it and even his secretary simply walked in, left some Tea next to him and walked away without a word.

"Yes, A new manager. After all, your last one quit just a week ago... It took us a while to find a replacement but I think you'll like this one," the boss replied to his employee's dismay. "He will be picking you up tomorrow morning and take you to your Autograph signing."

"The signing isn't until late in the afternoon why does he have to pick me up in the morning?"

"So you can get to know each other, of course." The boss made it sound like it was obvious and that, that was what Makoto wanted. In which he simply grumbled a little and shrunk into the corner a little more. "Also, I have a meeting with him in an hour. If you want to stick around, you can be free to meet him."

Makoto died in his game and shut it down for now. "No, I want to go home. I hate meeting new managers."

"Well, you wouldn't have to keep getting a new one if you were easier to work with." Makoto huffed a little knowing that he couldn't help it. He had horrible social anxiety and no one had been able to help him... Not even doctors or therapists.. His parents believed becoming famous would help and even then it hasn't. "Look, you've met and dealt with 8 new managers in the past year alone, you can do this," he assured but Makoto wasn't convinced. The male quickly just rushed out the door slipping on his sunglasses and hat before leaving to get a ride home from one of the other workers in the building he knew fairly well.

Name: Yamatta Shirogane (Last, First)

Age: 40

Gender: Male

Height: 4'8.5" (the half is important! XD )

Build: Compact but toned

Occupation: Manager

Personality Type: Brash, Rude, Loudmouth, Tsundere (prickly outside-soft squishy inside)

Likes: Money, Smoking, Men

Dislikes: Kids, Any reference to his height, Having to show identification

History: Shirogane is a very short man with a very big height-complex. He used to be a high-school teacher at an all-boy's academy until a terrible incident involving a student caused him to resign. Stuck doing odd jobs here and there, he finally hears about the search for yet another manager for some spoiled rich pop-star/actor from a friend and past flame. Amazed out how much the company is willing to pay, Shirogane figures how hard could it really be to try and manage someone...After all, it's just making sure they get to all their planned destinations on time...right?

"Hai. Hai! What could go wrong, Silly? I just pick the guy up..." A rather short brunet man huffed irritably into the cellphone pressed against his ear. He paused looking confused and shrugged. "I dunno....some signing event. Fellow has to spread his nome de plume around I guess...Heh. The suit? Yeah....I'm wearing it." Shirogane looked down at the plain gray fabric and frowned over the rims of his simple rectangular glasses, "I look like a teacher again."

He sighed and started walking down the hall one of the ladies at the front desk has directed him down.

"Yeah, I didn't say it was a bad thing....I just...I hoped I'd never have to wear a tie again...ever!" he grumbled into the phone as he tried to loosen the periwinkle knot at his throat. He ignored the ID badge clipped to his shirt pocket and continued walking. "Hai. I'm going to the meeting now. Ya want me to WHAT? SMILE?! Hell no! Well if that's what it takes to get this crummy job then you can take your bloody meeting and shove it up yer---!!!"

Before Shirogane could finish yelling into his cellphone the door to the meeting room suddenly opened and someone walked out quickly slipping on some shades and a ball cap as he did so. The young man walked right by him without giving him even a second glance. The disgruntled older man turned and watched the fellow's form retreat down the hall.

"Hmph." he muttered shutting his phone, rudely ending his call with whoever was on the other line. The man stuffed the phone in his pocket and took a deep breath. "Okay....how hard can this be? Smile huh..Blargh!" growling he forced a half-smirk, half-grimmace on his face and walked into the office. Seeing the boss he bowed deeply from the waist.

"Pardon, the intrusion! I'm Yamatta Shirogane. Thank you very much for hiring me as the new manager in your company!"

"Ah, you're here early!" The manager exclaimed almost too enthusiastically. "You just missed the kid you'll be managing... That's alright, he has this bug you'll quickly be aware of. Come, sit down and we can go over the details of your job." He motioned towards the couches in the room that had been neglected by the one that left. The manager also walked over and sat in a chair across the small coffee table from the new manager. "Would you like any tea or coffee while we talk?" He had the secretary get the coffees as she had gotten the tea for Makoto that was still left untouched near the corner he'd been sitting in.

"Now, you'll be the manager for the star, Megami Tourou. Though, his real name is actually Teruhashi Makoto. He uses a stage name because he doesn't like people sniffing around his personal life." The boss took out a folded piece of paper and placed it on the table in front of Yamatta. "That's his address. Makoto lives on the 31st floor in the apartment written here. You can try to wait down stairs and ring the bell but it will probably go unanswered. If that's the case, use the key that is taped to that paper and show the receptionist your badge. Several stars live in that apartment building and the security is top class." It was like he was showing off...

"You will be picking Makoto up in the morning and you can just hang out with him until his autographing session at 4. That's the only thing he has for tomorrow but here is his schedule for the rest of the month," he then handed Yamatta a planner for the month and it was absolutely packed to the point they barely would have time to get from one scheduled item to the next. This kid was everywhere and it was amazing he had time to sleep or eat. "Be sure to be on time or early to everything if you can. Never be late. One late moment will lead to millions of dollars lost. Keep that in mind." The boss smiled a if this was going to be a simple task. "It doesn't take much to keep him happy, honestly just let him play a game or put him in a corner and he's fine. Now, any questions?" The boss seemed to leave out the reason why this job paid so much for what seemed like a simple job.

"He's a gentle soul so I don't think you'll have any trouble getting use to him," the manager added as if trying to sell something. He still had a stupid smile.

Okay...no one had told him that being a manager meant babysitting some well-to-do punk! Bloody hell! Shirogane's onyx eyes widened at the huge planner. This was just -a- month?! The new manager's "smile" started to waver. "Uh...well...maybe...." He paused remember exactly how much he was going to be paid for "babysitting". "...I-I'll do my best?" he offered with a weak chuckle. He stuffed the key and address in his pocket and started to flip through the rising star's "manual". In the front was a picture and dossier of the singer/actor.

"It's a kid?!" Shirogane exclaimed in surprise, "Ya want me to manage a minor?!" The forty-year-old's face paled but then he noticed the DOB, "Oh....uh....24? With that baby-face he looks like jail-bait!"

Realizing the words that had just so tactlessly come out of his mouth, Shirogane gasped and looked up apologetically, "Ah....I mean...uh....looks like a nice kid. I..can't wait to get to work! Heh heh. Uh....so.....I just give the guy something to play with and stick him in a corner?" The manager tilted his head. Something about that just didn't sound right. What kind of grown man sits happily in a corner?! Maybe the kid really was a kid after all. Video games...of all things!

"Uh, this is great and all, but don'tcha think ya might be spoilin him a bit too much? I mean this book is -huge-! When's this Megumi-san supposed to breathe?! Ya know....unwind? I'm sure he would probably want some to time to visit his girlfriend....or .....a bar........or something!" Weren't celebrities always getting into trouble with the law and sleeping around and causing magazine scandals? "I mean, I'll watch him and get him where he needs to be, but no wonder the kid wants to play video games, Sir. Ya don't have any time in this book scheduled for the fellow to just be himself and go hang out with his friends." The teacher side of him sometimes reared its ugly head at the most inopportune times. Now he was startin to feel sorry for the pretty blue-eyed boy. Even in school, there were after-school clubs and activities!

"Uh...not to tell ya how to uh....run yer company or anythin, Sir." he added blushing slightly. His tongue was really going to get him into trouble one day! He stood up and bowed. "So...tomorrow morning. I'll be sure to pick him on time! Thank you again for hiring me, Sir. I...I'll do my best for the company!"

---------------------------------------------------------------

"So....yeah can ya believe it? He hands me this binder right? I mean it had to have been -this- big!" Sitting in a trashy looking bar surrounded by large muscular bara-types, Shirogane stretched his arms out exageratedly. He finally lost the suit jacket and tie leaving the top few buttons of his shirt undone. "I mean they had -everything- in there! What time to get up...when to take meals...Bloody hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they scheduled a time for the kid to take a crap!"

The men in the bar started laughing loudly. Some of the more drag-queen types giggled and ruffled the smaller man's hair. "Oh, Shiro!" they giggled in falsetto voices. The manager tsked and slapped their hands away. He hated to be fussed upon like a child! The only one in the bar in a far worse mood than he was the Madame bartender. 'She' snorted in a very unlady-like way and reached over the bar to snag Shirogane's ear in her red-painted claws pulling him closer.

"Owowowowow!" Shiro whimpered wincing in pain as he was pulled by his ear like a scolded child.

"Well, now that you've gotten yourself a -respectable- job, 'Manager-kun'," the burly drag-queen growled narrowing her thickly painted eyes,"you should have no problem at all paying back that huge tab you ran up here. Hmm?!"

"Ah, Mama! That hurts, leggo! I'll have your money promise. Besides, the kid's rich....the company's rich...I really am rollin on easy street here!" Shiro gave a slight grin trying to placate the owner's wrath. Mama huffed and let go of the man's ear. "Hmph! See that you -keep- this 'easy street' job of yours, Shiro."

The smaller man chuckled weakly and rubbed his sore earlobe. "Hai! In fact, since I'm gonna be soooo well off from now on, how about we break out the -good- stuff and celebrate?!" Shirogane blinked and paled backing up a little on his barstool, "Uh...n-not that the stuff ya serve us isn't a-always 'good'! Heh?"

Mama grumbled and pulled out a large bottle of her best and most expensive sake placing it on the bar in front of him. "YATTA!!!!" a cheer went up from the small crowd gathered as some of the muscle men started to pour rounds for everyone. Mama looked away in disgust, "Stupid old dwarf."

"What did you call me, ya rotten old hag?!!" Shirogane shouted trying to climb over the bar. Several of the burly men stopped him easily.

"Now! Now! None of that, Shiro-kun! Drink! Drink! It's a party!" One of the drag-queens pressed a glass into the smaller man's hand. "To Rich Kid-kun!" they toasted girlishly. The ex-teacher grinned at that and nodded lifting his glass so high some of the sake splashed down on his head, but he was in far too good a mood to care, "To Rich Kid-kun! He's gonna make me a lot of money, Baby!"

------------------------------------------------------------

Shirogane groaned, "Will someone pleeeeassse shut that bloody thing off?! My heeeeaaad." The four-foot man whimpered as he reached for his throbbing temple. A deep grunt was heard to the side of him and then

The manager's alarm clock shattered into pieces against one of the peeling bedroom walls of the rundown apartment he called home.

"Sankyu...uh.....glasses....glasses...." Shirogane fumbled blindly to his side reaching for his eyewear. A small whimper caused him to pause.

"That's not glasses, Honey." a soft falsetto voice gasped.

Shirogane blinked his hangover starting to receed just enough to let his brain start to slowly function. He looked to the left and then to the right. "Oh." he muttered still holding his head, "So I wasn't seeing double after all."

Two girly giggles came from either side of him.

"We're twins, remember?"

Shirogane lit a cigarette and took a long drag. "How could I forget?" he smirked then spotted his glasses on top of one of the baras' heads. He took them back and put them on. "So, anyone up for round...uh....well anyone up for another go?"

"Teehee! We're always up for you, Shiro!"

The manager was about to reply when his cellphone started ringing from the floor.

"Crap. Hold that thought." He reached across futon and bodies to get to it and flipped the phone open, "Whoever this is, ya better pray to the -gods- I don't get my hands on ---"

"YOU MORONIC PIPSQUEAK!!!" came the shout from the other end. Shiro had to hold the phone away from his ear it was so loud....and familiar. The said pipsqueak's face turned a ghastly white. "M-M-Mama?!"

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT TIME IT IS, YOU SANTA'S ELF REJECT?!!!!!!"

Shiro turned his gaze quickly to his watch. "Almost four, why?" There was a pause on the other end almost as if Mama was purposely allowing time for her addled customer's brain to finally start turning its rusted useless gears. Obsidian eyes slowly started to widen until they threatened to pop the lenses out of his frames.

"Oh my God! The MONEY!!!" he exclaimed loudly waking up both his disgruntled bed-partners.

"Don't ya mean 'the kid'?" Mama grumbled derisively as she finally hung up the phone to the sound of Shirogane scrambling about and falling over himself and the others in an effort to find a pair of pants! Yamatta Shirogane was her curse. She was never going to see that money ever again.

----------------------------------------------------------

3:45pm, a bright fire-engine red Maserati zoomed to a screaching halt before a large sky-scraper type building. Without a moment to lose, Shirogane jumped out and using the key ran at full speed for the front desk waving a piece of plastic in his hand frantically.

"Yamatta Shironage...I mean Shiro.....uh..the Nana..manage-kun....Need the Kid! Blargh! MONEY!!" The miniture man raved lunatically before he raced passed the chick behind the desk and headedfor the elevators!

The receptionist was shocked and scared out of her mind at the tiny madman. As soon as he headed for the elevators, she quickly hit the panic button. "SECURITY!!!!" she wailed, "A STALKER!!!!!"

"Hahahaha You'll understand the situation better once you get to know Mako-chan!" The boss said happily. That was a nickname he had given the kid when he first started. He never liked it but learned to put up with it since it was the first time anyone had given him a nickname. Even his parents didn't bother... They didn't think it would do well for his self confidence or something. "He's a cute kid, it's no wonder girls are willing to break laws just to get close to him," the man bragged again. He liked being able to tell people that he was the boss of the great Megumi Tourou. Sure, he was a handful at times but that was the manager's job to deal with him in those states.

Once business was settled, the boss said goodbye to Shirogane and let him be on his way for the day. Tomorrow was going to be a chore... thankfully they only had one event so he could try and grasp the ropes or else, he'd be late for everything.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Makoto returned home right away and went straight to his room. A typical move for his introverted self. Before he reached the elevators, the lady at the front desk handed him a package without a word knowing his situation. It was something he'd ordered online that finally came in. Makoto tried opening his mouth to thank her but couldn't get the words out by the time the door closed. He looked down sadly at the package wishing he wasn't so unable to talk to people. Oh well, this was just how he was... unable to show any true emotions except fear... everything else was a mask he put on when getting on stage or on set, entering another's life and making it his own as the actor. He could do those things but not talk to anyone normally.... Life was easier when reading a script.

It took a while but the elevator finally reached the 31st floor and Makoto stepped out and walked a short while down the hall and entered his apartment. It was huge, with an enormous living room, a luxurious bathroom, a full kitchen, a king sized bedroom, and yet, all this space and next to zero personal belongings. There were clothes everywhere from the living room, to the bedroom, and the bathroom. Mostly comfort clothes that he got to wear whenever he was home... Which wasn't long but it was where he wanted to be.... There was only a small flat screen TV that came with the room, the couch set, and one picture. Other than that, the living room didn't even look... well... lived in. His bedroom was no better. The bed was never made properly, clothes everywhere, one dresser, one bed, two night stands - one on each side - and that was about it. No posters, no CDs. just a pile of video games tucked under the bed. As much money as he had, Makoto hated owning things.... He just didn't like buying things even though he'd lived here for years now.

There was a desk in his room with a computer on it with a rather comfy chair. That's where Makoto spent most of his time anyway. May as well be comfy. That was basically his motto... He changed into sweatpants and a sweatshirt before getting on his computer and there he remained. He only got up once to return to the kitchen where he placed his package on the counter and opened it up to reveal a large box of ramen noodles... The kid hated even going to the convenient store or the grocery store for food. So, he just ordered shippable things to his house... Sad life but it was his.

Makoto boiled some water and poured it into one of the Ramen cups. As he waited for it to warm up, he walked back into his room and got back on the chair in the dark to just watch some anime. Hours passed and Makoto lost track of time until he saw that it was four in the morning. Time for bed... Sometimes his managers would call him just to make sure he went to bed on time... Guess this manager wasn't going to do that... oh well. The male went to bed and fell asleep almost instantly not to be woken even as noon rolled by.

--------------------------------------------------------

Security rushed over as fast as they could and grabbed Shirogane out of the elevator before the doors closed. They held on and dragged him to the security room to ask him questions. "Look, I don't know who you came here for, but no stalker or press is allowed in this building. Only those that live here and their managers. I know you don't live in this building and you don't look like any of the managers I know. So, get out and we'll leave it but if you come back, we will get the police involved," the security guard threatened. He seemed rather dangerous and threatening while his partner stood like a wall blocking the door.

There was no way this shrimp of a man was going to get passed them.

"Ack! Nooo! Lemme go! I have to get the MONEY!!!" Shiro cried out as he was rudely snatched up and away with the two security guards. Blood hell he didn't have time for this! If he didn't grab the Kid, and get to the signing all that money was gonna fly right out the window! "Look ya Bozos, I'm Yamatta Shirogane! I'm the new manager for uh...." Shirogane frowned. Bloody hell, what was the kid's name again? Mu-mu? Mushi? Megane? "Oh yeah! Megumi-kun! That's the one! Now let me out of here so I can go get the brat!" Shirogane growled his shirt half-opened and his brown hair more disheveled than usual.

He could tell the guards were still dubious. "Oh for crying out loud, HERE!" the manager snapped as he threw his ID badge at the taller man aiming for his face. Hoping the distraction would work the tiny fellow desperately dove to crawl between the other guard's legs to freedom! He just had to get to the 31st floor even if he had to climb 31 flights of stairs to do it!

"Look, now I know you're lying because we don't have anyone in this building under the name of Megumi," he stated bluntly. The man caught the ID and still managed to stop Shiro from taking off. The guards looked it over and then told him to stay put as they made a phone call. Shirogane was left alone but the door was locked, leaving him completely trapped within the small room.

The guards called up to Makoto's room and after no answer, they called a janitor that was on the upper floors to go in and check on him. When he did, he had to wake Makoto who grabbed the closest phone and called the guard back. "Did you get a new manager today?" He inquired.

"Ya....... I'm suppose to....... He's suppose to pick me up this morning......." Makoto was managing a conversation in his half awake state. "Hang on, I have his name....." After some rummaging around, the boy got back to the phone. "His name is..... Yamatta Shirogane..." Makoto was falling back to sleep already.

"Alright, thank you Mr Teruhashi, we will send him up right away," the guard said. Finally, everything was cleared up and Shiro was handed his badge back. "Now, fix yourself up before you go see that kid. Geez, you're going to scare him to death." the guard glared. "Don't come rampaging in here again. If you do I'll have you kicked out of this building for good and you can say good bye to your job." With that said, Shiro was allowed to go.

Of course, Makoto was back to sleep by the time he made it up stairs. The boy did not want to go. Though, at least he didn't sound like the only reason he didn't want to go was because he was too famous. The bareness of his room was proof enough that he wasn't a self centered prick that most stars were with posters of their faces along their walls and ceilings.

Denied! And he had been so close too! "No Megumi? But that's the kid's name! Ya know...the famous one! A pop-idol-teen-boyband-something-or-other." Shirogane muttered shrugging as he scratched the back of his head. Was he given the wrong name? He groaned as the door shut and locked on him. Darn it! He checked his watch. 3:50pm. There was no way he was gonna get the Kid there on time now! "Bye-bye, Money!" the old man sniffled sadly.

When the guards returned he snatched the ID badge back irritably. "Gee, too late, Fellas." he grumbled. "I just lost my job five seconds ago!" They did have a point though. He did still have to face the music and the kid. Sighing he buttoned up his shirt and tucked it into his slightly opened pants refastening them. After replacing the badge on his shirt pocket and stealing a rubberband to do up his long hair with, the now ex-manager got into the elevator and headed up to the 31st floor.

When he reached the star's door, he sighed and started banging on it roughly. Well, he may have lost his job, but it would never do to be the accomplice for some rich so-and-so to loose the company ....what did the boss say? Billions of dollars? Crap. He started to bang harder.

"Hey! Megumi-kun! Open the door, will ya? If I'm going down today, you're comin with me, Kid!"

Makoto grumbled and got out of bed again... Did this guy not have a key? Seeing the time he realized he should have left some time ago to be able to get there. The male opened the door and then quickly rushed off to his room where he changed, brushed his teeth, and was ready to go in five minutes. That didn't seem possible for most idols but Makoto was a professional. Changing for different scenes was his specialty. He had no choice but to get things done quickly. Grabbing his game device at the last second with his phone, he was all ready to go.

"We're already late but you won't lose your job that fast... it's too hard to fill the position," Makoto admitted. He walked faster not wanting any contact with the new manager. Just be sure to apologize to the fans when we get there..." he said moving to a corner of the elevator as they began their decent. Makoto looked really nervous. "Also, Megumi is my stage name...." He seemed to just drop the conversation there. It was like he didn't even know he should give his real name as well.

Makoto wasn't very good at talking...

-----------------------------------

The male was silent the entire car ride and when they got to the destination, he seemed to have a hard time getting out of the car. When he finally did, Makoto walked nervously towards the building where he could already see lines of people just beyond the doors. The male jumped and took a couple steps back shaking slightly.

"I-I can't... T-Tell them I can't go out there.... That's way too many people," he said. Makoto looked really stressed like he might either throw up or run away. His body was still shaking and the male took another couple steps back.

Shiro opened his mouth to speak as the door opened only to watch the singer/actor run off into the bathroom. Okaaay..."Uh...excuse me." he muttered as he stepped inside. The man's dark eyes widened. Holy crap was it a nice place! And huge too. Shiro bet if he shouted he would hear his voice echo. Taking his eyes from the architecture, he looked around the living area. Clothes were everywhere! "What is this kid, a snake?!" Shirogane frowned as he stepped over a pair of underwear that were just casually left laying on the floor. For someone rich and famous, the young man didn't seem to own much stuff either....nothing of note anyway.

The man spotted the single picture frame but before he could get a good look at it, the Kid was back, dressed and ready to go. How the hell did he do that so fast?! Watching the kid speed towards the door he quickly chased after him catching the lad's remark. "Uh, really? I'm not gonna get fired?! Apologize to fans, got it! Okay so...Oi! Slow down will ya?! My legs aren't as long as yours !" Shiro growled as he ran to catch up with the young man. Winded and tired he made it to the car.

Shirogane really wasn't used to so much silence. "Uh...so....Megumi's your stage name huh?" he offered trying to break the ice, "Well if that's so, what do ya want me to call ya?" He was rather partial to 'Kid' himself, or 'Money' but he doubted a 24-year-old really wanted to be called such things.

Silence. Shiro glanced in the rear-view mirror. Of course the famous brat would be playing a video game and ignoring him completely!

"Great." he muttered grumpily, "Kid it is!"

Pulling up to the venue, Shiro stopped the car and started to get out until he noticed the kid wasn't budging. "Hey! What are ya waitin for? An engraved invitation? We're already late ya know!" That seemed to help the fellow move. Even so, it seemed the closer they got to the door, the more the distance between them grew. Only this time it was Shiro who was in the lead! Blinking, the old man turned in time to watch the international star-sensation becoming a trembling, retreating mess.

"What the--?" he started pausing when the Kid started to speak. "Eh?! But, my job." Shirogane murmured looking back at the doors of the autograph area. What in the world was with this kid?! He looked like he had just seen a ghost! The older man sighed and scratched the back of his head nervously. Now what was he supposed to do?!

"Uh....okay, look. I don't what the hell you're so scared of all of a sudden, but it's my job to get ya to do your signing-job-thing. Okay? Now, uh...I don't really know ya, Kid, but see all those people lined up there?" Shiro jabbed his thumb over his shoulder at the waiting fans, "All those people have been waiting and waiting for their beloved Megumi-kun to show up and sign his name or whatever. In fact they're still waiting. Part of that is my fault. I screwed up. It's my first day doing this managing thing ya know. I had too much to drink, and well....I'm late. And my being late has now made you very late. For that...I'm sorry. But, you stalling like this isn't helping matters. Now you are making those poor people that probably traveled a long way just to see you wait as well."

The short man sighed and held out his hand to the taller male. "So...let's not make them wait any longer, shall we?" He tried to offer the lad an encouraging smile of sorts,"And even though you're scared, I'm gonna be right there with ya, so I promise nothing bad is gonna happen to ya. I won't let it. So what do ya say, Kid? Wanna take a chance with this old man?"

As terrified as he was, the male stepped forward and slowly stretched out his shaking hand and took his manager's This guy wasn't all that bad... Sure they were late because of him but as far as the boss had to know, it was because the two were still getting use to one another.... not exactly the case but he didn't need to know other wise. As they walked closer, Makoto calmed down and started going into his acting mode. As he walked into the room, he seemed like a completely different and more personable person. The boss had given him a scrip on what to do at each event so he could get it once he was in there but until then... he was a social outcast.

Girls' screams filled the room as he walked in and waved with a smile towards his fans. Of course he was still nervous but it certainly didn't show. His fans were so excited to see him even though he was almost a half hour late. "Sorry for being late everyone!" he shouted loudly and everyone cheered again before Makoto glanced back at his new manager to give a formal apology to the fans as he went and sat down at the table to sign autographs. The beloved Megumi Tourou was finally signing for his fans and even taking a few pictures. He tried to keep conversations as small as possible because a script couldn't handle all situations. He was no good at improv.

The signing lasted several hours and it was almost 9 before everyone was gone and satisfied. With a sigh of relief, Makoto sat back feeling completely worn out. He took a minute to recover some of his strength before focusing on his manager again.

"Yamatta-San... can I go home now?" the boy got up and pulled out a rolled up baseball cap out of his jacket and a pair of sunglasses from his pocket before putting them on to leave just in case. As he took one step forward, Makoto wobbled on his feet and barely caught himself from falling as his stomach roared like a freaking lion... He hadn't eaten since the one bowl of instant noodles from last night and now it was already night again... No wonder he wasn't feeling well. If he had gotten up earlier he could have eaten something when he got up but he didn't so now he was suffering. At least if he went home he could have another cup of instant noodles.

"I want to go home," he repeated quietly finding what little strength he had to walk forward towards the car. When they did finally reach the car, Makoto's phone rang and as he flipped it open, a loud voice shouted at him through it.

"Mako-chan!!! Well done. You're sales went up again!!!" The bosses voice rang and just gave Makoto a terrible headache. "I heard you were late. Guess you had a little too much fun with your new manager today!! At least you're getting along but be sure to pass on a message for me. "Be sure to always keep track of time." That's all." The boss gave what sounded like advice instead of a threat. He then said his good byes and clicked out.

Makoto, feeling too worn out to deal with it, flopped onto his side in the back seat and curled up before falling asleep. He was buckled around his hips but it probably wouldn't keep him safe in an accident but when he was this sick feeling, Makoto didn't care. His eyes closed and the boy was asleep in less than a minute.... another actor's skill to fall asleep anywhere.

Shirogane gave the kid's hand an encouraging squeeze as they neared closer to the doors. To his surprise however, the young man's grip started to lessen until his shaking finally stopped altogether. Confused, Shiro glanced way up at the other guy and gasped. Was this the same kid? It was like he was a completely different person! Eh, maybe it was an acting thing. The star couldn't have become a world wide sensation by trembling like a leaf all the time!

Smirking, he followed the fellow inside. Of course his following would be a bunch of screaming fangirls. With that pretty-boy face? No wonder. "Uh...yes! Sorry we are late, everyone! Megumi-san was so excited to meet all his adoring fans today, that we decided to take a short-cut and ended up lost!" Shiro shrugged playing up the line a bit, "But never fear, for Megumi-san is finally here!" with that, he let go of the other's hand and started to applaud with the rest.

As the famous idol took his seat, one of the employees of the venue hurried up to them, "Thank goodness you both are here! A minute later and I was sure these kids were going to start to riot!"

The old man grinned at that and placed his hand gently on the star's shoulder. "Well, don't worry. From now on, Megumi-san will always be on time. I assure you." Shirogane finally realized how important punctuality was for the young man. Now that he'd been given a second chance at keeping his job, the ex-teacher would do anything in his power to make sure he kept it and the pay as long as he possibly could!

-------------------------------------------------------

When the even was finally over, Shirogane yawned loudly giving his arms a good stretch. He had been thanked profusely by the venue's owners and company. Hearing his name, he turned just in time to see his charge start to wobble.

"Hey, Kid! Ya alright there?" he asked in alarm rushing to stand by the young man's side. "That had to be hard on ya. Ya didn't get any break to stretch your legs." he observed frowning. "Sure. I'll take ya home." he agreed nodding. He checked his watch. 9:00pm?! The Kid didn't even have dinner yet. No wonder he could hear his stomach growling! Shirogane headed to the car and started to drive the Kid back home. Frowning he watched the lad slump over on the back seat and fall asleep. The poor fellow was completely exhausted. His teaching-past was starting to get the better of him again.

He pulled back into the parking lot for the apartment building and shut the engine off. Getting out he moved to open the door and just lightly putting some pressure on the kid's leg tried to wake him up.

"Come on, Kid. Time to get up. You're home. Let's get somethin in your belly, now." he offered his tone surprisingly gentle despite the dark expression on his face. He was gonna have some words with his Boss later.

It was surprisingly easy to wake the kid up once they made it to the apartment and he slowly sat up, forcing his body to move even though it really didn't want to. He clicked the buckle to come off and slipped out the open door of the car. Makoto wobbled again but walked forward towards the door not realizing his hat and glasses slipped off and were left in the back seat. Thankfully, it was dark and no one was really around, plus the fact that none of his fans knew this was where he lived. Thank goodness for that. Though, that was part of the reason he even bothered using a stage name.

Makoto got in the building and the lady at the desk gave him a worried look without saying a word as he just walked passed towards the elevators. This time, Shiro had no problem being let into the building to go up to Makoto's room with him. As the elevator doors nearly closed someone called, "Hold the door!" in which Makoto unconsciously pushed the button to keep the doors open. Normally he wouldn't do that due to his anxiety but right now he was tired and only thinking about what flavor ramen he would have tonight.

It was a maintenance man heading up to deal with one of the other people living in the building on the 5th floor. "Ah, Teruhashi-kun, welcome back. Looks like you worked hard," the man played. Makoto wasn't listening and just leaned against the wall of the elevator trying not to fall over with the movement. The maintenance man just laughed. "Quiet as ever I see. Well I'll see you again," he stated before getting off on his floor and it was a straight shot to the 31st floor. There were only 32 floors in the building.

They got there and Makoto keyed himself in before walking towards the kitchen where he still had the box he got the day before with the instant noodles and he scanned them quickly before choosing on and started boiling some water for it. Makoto sort of just ignored Shiro as well. He was just there as the male walked to the fridge and opened it to expose 4 huge bottles of water and that was it.. He had nothing else in there. Taking on that was already half drank, he gulped down nearly the rest of it in one go before closing the fridge and placing the bottle on the counter to enjoy with his noodles.

Shirogane followed the lad into the elevator and blinked as the kid held the door for someone. Well that was considerate....not that -he- would do that himself, but, it was considerate nonetheless. The manager listened to the one-sided exchange the maintenance man had with the worn-out star. Could he not tell the kid was exhausted?! Shiro growled a little under his breath and was glad when the guy finally got out of the elevator. The 31st floor. The smaller man wondered why the kid lived so high up. Maybe it was the only apartment available at the time.

"Excuse me." Shirogane mumbled as he entered after the young man. Instead of looking around again, he followed the lad right into the kitchen and was utterly stunned as he watched the star prepare 'dinner'. What the bloody hell?! A box of ramen and just some bottled water in the fridge? Okay. Shiro was in full-on teacher-mode now!

"Oh hell no!" he exclaimed loudly as the kid set his water bottle down on the counter. Taking charge or at least feeling as though he absolutely had to, he grabbed a nearby chair and pulled it up to the stove. Climbing up on it, he reached over and shut off the boiling water. "If I'm gonna be yer manager, Kid, some things are gonna have ta change around here, okay?" he told him still frowning. "First: no more box ramen! Second: Go and sit down before you fall down! I'll be right back!" with that, he climbed down off the chair making sure the Kid sat down in it instead and then headed back out of the apartment.

A short while later, Shirogane returned carrying several shopping bags from a nearby grocery store. "Ya need to eat something better than box ramen, Kid. Ya look like a stiff breeze will snap ya like a twig!" he muttered grumpily as he climbed up onto another chair and started pulling out meat, vegetables, and other ingredients to actually cook a nutritious and filling meal for the lad.

Makoto frowned as he was forced to step back and his manager took a chair and stood on it to turn off the stove... He wasn't that much shorter than Makoto and it wasn't like any of the furniture was really high... Oh well. The star wanted to just push the man aside but was too awkward to even do that. Of course, he was then forced to sit in the chair as the man rushed out. The boy looked back over at the stove and wanted to turn the water back on but thought he might get in trouble if he did that... Clearly this new manager didn't like his life style but it was what he was use to.

While the manager was gone, Makoto got up again and stripped off his clothes just tossing them aside before going into his bedroom and grabbing some clean clothes to change into. Boy did he just want to fall asleep but it was no wonder his clothes were everywhere with him taking them off and just leaving them before going to find clean clothes... Not to mention he had a basket of clean clothes in the living room so sometimes he didn't even make it to the bedroom at all.

Makoto was sitting down again in sweatpants and a t-shirt by the time Shiro returned and the male was starting to dose off but quickly perked up a bit as his loud-mouthed manager got to work on dinner. Makoto just watched from behind in his seat as the other prepared and cooked the meal. Looked so good....

"Why are you doing this? Once I'm in my apartment you are no longer on duty so you don't have to do this," he stated flatly. Makoto didn't understand this... Most managers would drop him off and ignore or in some cases, not even care what he was doing health wise. There was one that told him to eat but only so he wouldn't have to waste gas going to the hospital because of the kid passing out on the job. Plus, him not being able to do his job was just as bad since it would cost the company loads and may even effect the manager with a slight pay cut. Honestly, managers were greedier in their little finger than Makoto was in his whole being. Then again, he didn't use money like others... he didn't need it.

The boy waited almost falling asleep a number of times before the smell of food woke him and he was allowed to eat. It was no instant noodles but instead an actual meal. It smelled good... Makoto just sat there waiting to be told he could dig in.... It was so unlike him but he was starved.

Thankfully, living on his own meant that Shirogane at least knew how to feed himself. "So what? Ya think yer manager is just gonna leave and let ya waste away to nothin?!" the smaller man huffed irritably as he prepared the meal, "If that's the kinda guy ya think I am, then ya got a lot to learn, Kid!" he huffed as he set a bowl down before the fellow. He dished one out for himself as well and moved to sit across from the fellow. He was definately no five-star chef. It was just a simple stew, but hopefully it would fill the kid up and give him enough energy to make it to bed.

"Whatcha just sittin there for?!" he snapped roughly. "Eat already!" The smaller man clapped his hands together, "Thanks for the meal." he muttered before grabbing a spoon. He began to dig into his stew ravenously. He too hadn't eaten since....uh..was it yesterday? He was starving!

"Not bad for an old man, huh?" he smirked as he looked up to see if the kid was enjoying the meal as well.

Makoto jumped slightly as the manager barked at him to eat. It wasn't loud or vicious but Makoto just didn't know how to deal with people. Besides, he was exhausted. Still, he placed his hands together and muttered quietly, "Thanks for the meal" before he took the spoon and started eating.

The blue-eyed male didn't even respond to the next question as he had his mouth completely stuffed to the point of having chipmunk cheeks. He was leaning over the bowl just shoveling in the food. It wasn't that the boy was moving his hand very quickly, in fact, nothing about it seemed particularly fast. He was simply putting another huge spoonful of food in his mouth before he could even manage to chew the first bit. This clearly was anything but graceful but he was in his own home now eating some real food that tasted so good!!! Damn, he didn't know anything could taste this good. Though... from someone who ate nothing but ramen as far as warm food went and quick sandwiches for every other meal, it was no wonder.

It didn't take long for the boy to be completely done with his bowl. Finally he was able to chew and swallow the last bit. "Is there any more?" He said wiping his mouth from all the broth that slipped away on the back of his hand. Honestly, it was amazing to think this was the same star everyone loved. He had manners but why bother in his own home.. Besides, he lived alone without so much as a cat.

Shirogane didn't mind the lack of manners, he rarely displayed any himself. Plus seeing the kid chowing down and enjoying the meal he made struck something in the teacher part of his heart and made him smile just a little.

"Yeah, Kid." he murmured when the star was finished, "There's plenty." He took the lad's bowl and filled it up again for him.

"Ya know, if it's alright with ya, I think I'm gonna spend the night here. Don't worry, I'll sleep on the couch. It's just this place could do with some cleaning and well if I'm sleeping here, I can make sure we -both- won't be late tomorrow. We both have a meeting with the Boss and I'd like to bring up some...'changes' to your schedule." Shiro added as he thoughtfully watched his charge continue to eat.

"I don't like people staying here," Makoto said as he took the second bowl of stew and once again began shoveling in his mouth the way he did the first time. The boy just couldn't seem to stop eating. In fact, he couldn't say another word until he finished the entire bowl. "This place is fine the way it is...." he said after finishing up the last bit in his mouth. Makoto for the first time in what felt like forever, was full. Still part of him wanted another bowl but he was then overcome with exhaustion. Makoto slowly got to his feet and took the bowl and just dropped it in the sink.

"I'm going to bed," He said before disappearing into his bedroom. He really was unsocial because he couldn't even hold a normal conversation. Maybe the way he spoke or the things he did would seem rude but that was the problem with someone that didn't know how to talk to another human being.

Makoto yawned and crawled into bed. Thankfully he had changed earlier or he would have just stripped in the kitchen and probably wouldn't have had the strength to get clothes on and would have slept naked. However, he'd already changed so he crawled into his bed and fell asleep only taking up the right side, closest to the door. After that, he was out like a light without care of when Shiro left... or in this case, if he did at all. He could have slept on the couch but tomorrow was an early day so he'd have to wake Makoto up anyway.... as far as the star knew, the manager left that night and only returned the next morning.

"Hey! Who said I was gonna stay? I'm just crashin on your couch for the night. Don't get the wrong impression here, Kid!" he huffed. It wasn't as though he -wanted- to stay. No, it was just more convenient this way...that was all. He could make sure the 'money' got up on time, made it to the Boss on time, and then into his pocket. Yeah!

He arched a brow slightly as he heard the boy's next words about the status of his living quarters. "Oh?" he murmured grumbling a bit, "Says the Kid that sheds his clothes like a snake sheds its skin! What if ya bring a lady over? She's not gonna wanna enter a place that is trashed!" he muttered watching as the sleepy fellow deposited his dirty bowl in the sink and then headed to bed.

"Hmph." he muttered unable to keep from smiling a bit, "Just like a kid." This was bad. They were too similar. What was he going to do? Sighing, he decided to go into teacher-mode once more and distract himself with some cleaning. First he put the leftovers away then finished cleaning the dishes. After that, he spent a good portion of time picking up all the dirty laundry the kid had shed all over the place. Finding an actual washing machine and dryer in the apartment, Shirogane started a load and then worked on cleaning up the bathroom as well. After he put the wash in the dryer and started it he found himself a blanket and pillow in the linen closet and plopped himself down on the couch with a sigh.

"Honestly." he muttered as he took off his glasses and set them down on the coffee table, "What a troublesome guy." He set the alarm on his watch so that he'd get up early enough to get the Kid up and ready for work. Thankfully, he had enough leftover ingredients to make a decent breakfast for them both as well. Sighing he laid down and closed his eyes to fall asleep.

Makoto was still asleep when Shiro woke up. He didn't seem to move much in the night making him seem like he slept like the dead. Due to being a rather light sleeper in general, it was easily disturbed so when the smell of food flooded the room, he woke up istantly and wondered what was going on. The male shifted slightly before finally getting up and stretching. Due to laying on one side for so long, his hair stuck straight up on just that side. He yawned and forced himself out of bed to inspect what was going on.

As Makoto walked out, he saw his new manager actually here early making breakfast. The male stared for a minute letting his blue eyes adjust and try to figure out what was going on. With a sigh, he reached in and put the kettle on the stove to boil some water. He was just going to feed himself some ramen. Honestly, the male didn't care enough about health to eat a proper breakfast. He wasn't use to someone taking care of him like this. Sure, the ceo of the company looked out for him and gave him things he wanted, but he didn't worry about what he ate, his sleep schedule... nothing. It was so bad he didn't even schedule in meals during the day so if something ran late or was scheduled in soon, he may or may not even have time for food. In a way, it was like yesterday was an absolute normal to him.

The boy walked over and sat at the table waiting for the water to boil. He yawned again thinking about the time it would take him to shower, get ready, eat, and get there. Time management was something one could learn fairly easily when his life was scheduled out to the minute it seemed. Makoto had to get ready soon as he stood and grabbed a cup of instant noodles from the box that had been pushed aside.

Upon hearing the kid up and moving around at last, Shirogane looked up from what he was doing at the stove and smirked. "Hope ya don't mind, but I helped myself to a shower this morning." he muttered, "I don't think I used up all the hot water though so don't worry." He turned to look at the pan he was nursing on the stove.

"Ah-ah-ah!" Shiro chided quickly shutting off the pot of water and stopping the kid from grabbing the cup of ramen. "Nice try, Kid, but don't even think about it. Go and get washed up. We got a busy day today and you still need to eat something first. If ya liked my stew last night, yer really gonna like what I do with eggs!" he grinned puffing his small chest out boastfully. He didn't want to brag or anything but he was rather handy in the kitchen.

He continued sauteing vegetables when he suddenly gasped an idea suddenly coming to him.

"Oi! Dirty clothes go in the basket in the bathroom not on the floor!" he shouted hoping the kid would hear him,"If I have to pick up after ya again, I'm gonna throw hot sauce in your omelette rice!"

Makoto grumbled a bit as he got up and went off towards the bathroom. He already had his shirt off before he even made it and didn't listen as he tossed his clothes on the floor as he then jumped in the shower. Makoto was out in five minutes as he stepped out and started drying himself off. He walked out of the bathroom while drying his hair. The male didn't even put a towel around his waist as he had his one towel over his head as he dried his hair. Makoto just walked through the kitchen and into the bedroom. After a second, he walked back over and dropped the towel down around the back of his neck and across his shoulders. "The place is clean?" He looked around before letting out another grumble and just disappearing into his bedroom to get dressed.

After a couple minutes, he was dressed and ready to go for the meeting this morning thinking about the acting job he had later that day. They were just getting started on a new movie so it would be a while before they start filming since they didn't even know where the filming would take place. For now, it was just outlines, parts, character development, just a few small things. Still, he would be around people all day long. The male sat down at the table ready for food. He was starved.

"Yes, I cleaned it up last night. And if ya mess it up again, I'm throwin more hot sauce in!" he grumped adding a few drops to the fixings. He was 99% sure by the way the lad grumbled and acted that he wasn't listening to him. Maybe a little bit of a flavor-kick might change his mind...unless he liked spicy food then maybe a few drops wouldn't even be noticed.

The manager sighed and set a plate of omelette rice before the once-naked fellow. At least he finally put some clothes on, this snake! Honestly! He was worse than Hiro. Shirogane frowned at the memory and shoved it as far into the back of his mind as he could with a shake of his head. Nope. He was -not- going to remember -that- now. He had work to do.

"Ya want ketchup on your eggs, Kid?" he asked setting down the ketchup bottle near the star's plate. He clapped his hands together and mumbled a form of gratitude before digging into his own ketchup and hot sauce-less plate of breakfast. He checked his watch. They were making great time today. Hopefully the rest of the day would go like this as well.

Makoto put some ketchup on his own food and began to dig in. After about a minute, he looked like he was going to be sick as he jumped up and ran over to the sink. He hated spicy foods so much because he had an unusually sensitive tongue. The boy simply stuck his mouth under the running water trying to cool down his tongue. That was just too cruel and was really bad for someone who had to do some acting and potentially singing later. Makoto wanted to just curse this man for actually putting hot sauce on his tongue.

It took several minutes to calm the burning sensation down but he finally managed it and Makoto pulled off his sweatshirt, dropped it where it was and retreated to his room where he closed the always open door and got right back in bed to hide under the covers. Clearly this man was not to be trusted and might bring him in front of a huge crowd or make him do something he didn't want. The male was surprisingly terrified as he started to shake slightly under the cover. This man was suppose to be his life support to help him get through the things that only medicine would help with and here he was making his breakfast spicy.... With freaking hot sauce!!! Where did he even get that because clearly, Makoto didn't so much as own a bottle.

His phone rang and it was the boss wanting to call about a schedule change but Makoto refused to get out from the covers to retrieve his phone of his desk where it was charging. He was in full turtle hiding mode and there was nothing getting him out.
