Novel similar to Blood Red/Neko

Hello, all! I'm looking for some novels that have animal transformations or animal people. I've read neko- p.l. nunn and blood red- kingdbridge and really liked both of them but I don't know much about this subgenre so that's why I need some help to open my horizons! From the two I picked one may see that I like more of the darker types of yaoi so please nothing overtly romantic where there isn't an ounce of bloodshed or traumatic horror. I like dark things. So yea please if you have anything that you feel should be recommended to myself I'd be greatly appreciative! onion9
