Hem huffed and glared as his father left the deer going and finding honey who was cleaning Quills face. "He needs to leave" hem added not liking how kind honey was being to such a monstrous creature.

{ Okay so is Quill Honey child? Or just some demon? }

Vidar would stay in his study till he was made away that his mate was okay and didn't need his space anymore, or at least when the storm died down.

(Quill is born from honey who was impregnated by a ddemon he doesn't remember since when he left his memory was wiped since he doesn't live under the demons protection now. Hence his new body)

"...Vidar." Honey yelled afraid the two where going to get in a fight the male trying to keep the two deer from hitting each other.

Vidar returned soon after hearing Honey's voice calling for him and looked down at the boys. "I'll grab Hem since Quill doesn't seem to like me," he sighed as he scooped up Hem and held his tight so he couldn't get lose. "Okay boys, this isn't good I know it's new and the two of you don't really know each other but you shouldn't fight."

Quill with a heated glare stuck out his tongue at Hem only pissing the other deer off more as he squirmed and struggled against Vidar arms. "What now?" Honey asked hating the two where fighting.

Vidar frowned as he looked at the two boys but held Hem tight. He knew how his father would have handled this and that would have been a severe beating to both boys but he didn't want to be like that man. "I don't know for sure but being a parent isn't easy. I just wish they would explain to us what's really the problem and listen to what we say. But for right now all I can figure out is they might be fighting over you. Hem wanted you to come back so much and now you have but with a new child and he's not the center of attention," he said with a loud voice so maybe the boys would hear him and explained why they were mad. He hoped it wasn't just because Quill was different them Hem. "Hem, he's younger then you so you can't just beat him up because you don't like him. And Quill it's rude to stick your tongue out at Hem."

"Hes not good for our family he's dangerous!" Hem snapped at Vidar glaring the younger deer down. "He needs to leave before he brings more of those creatures back to live with us" hem added as honey just watched quill who shrugged at the accusations not denying them.

"And what makes you think that? Because he can look scary? Cause he is strong? Hem if Quill leaves then so will your mom. You mom was reborn and he gave birth to Quill that means he's Quill's mother. Yes, those things will come back when people think they deserve something they usually get mad when it's denied to them."

"....then I'll leave" hem replied to his father glaring coldly at the man who thought would trust him and take his side. Quill was watching quietly holding onto honey tightly before hiding away from the other deer refusing to give up either parent.

Vidar stared at his son then shook his head sadly. "Hem, Hem sweet heart why do you want to leave us? Just cause he's different? You're different to. I can't and wont chose between the two of you. My dad would have done that. I love you with all my heart, I know to you it's not enough, and you might be scare of him but I don't believe he wants to be a bad to us. Yes he might be a very powerful demon blood but that no reason to leave home," he said softly. "I don't won't you to go anywhere and I'm sure your mom will want you to stay too."

"...I want my own room away from him" hem demanded clearly not wanting to leave but he was slightly throwing a tantrum about the whole ordeal.

Vidar tried to hold in his chuckled as he rubbed his son's head. "I can add rooms to the house so no worries. Besides I'd be really sad if you leave," he said and hugged him then looked at Honey and Quill wanting to see if they had anything to add. He understood that to Honey things could be different because in this life he didn't give birth to Hem so he might not feel the same about their son in this life.

"Quill says he will be happy to have his own room and welcomes getting to know hem" honey replied with a smile getting a death glare from his silent little quill who clearly hadn't said that. With a angry huff quill looked away from honey and went off to another room to go hunt down a nice book.

Vidar smirked a little, he knew about bickering brothers pretty well. But he said nothing, instead, he kissed the top of Hem's head then moved over to Honey and gave a kiss then looked at Quill as he started to walk away.. "May I give you a kiss as well since I hope to be your papa?" he asked. To him despite Quill being very young he seemed to also be a grumpy teen of sorts. Old soul birthed into a new body perhaps. It wasn't unheard of. "I'll need a bit to gather the energy to change the house. Anything you'd like to add Honey?"

"Quill likes gardens and library's" honey added with a small smile the male watching the deer ignore the request for a kiss and wander around before finding one of hems books making the older deer huff. Hem wasn't to happy with quill touching his books but clung to Vidar wanting his attention not wanting to share his father.

"I want a garden!" Hem demanded wanting to grow lots of yummy vegetables.

Vidar looked down at Hem then ruffled his hair. "We have a garden, though it's not very big and I mostly grew flowers for your mom and herbs for my work but I can make it bigger. "Not sure about a library. I mean I sort of have on in my study but those books all have to do with magic or some sort of spell crafting," he explained to Honey. "But I guess I could make a wall of bookshelves for the three of you so you can store the books you like, and put more in his room," he said thoughtfully. He hoped Quill would grow to like him, part of him felt fond of Quill already but that might have to do with the fact that he loved Honey. "I'll rework the house plans and expand the garden with different areas for growing different things. This might take a bit and I might need help from Granny to stabilize the magic if you think I should rush the crafting. Just please be patient with each other," he asked softly.

"Okay" hem replied before wandering off to go play outside in the small flower garden. Honey smiled softly watched and snuggled into Vidars empty arms. Feeling a small hand on honeys leg made the male jump a little. Looking over at quill honey mentioned for him to come over the little deer holding a old book with lots of pictures of birds and some spells of ancient nature and older creatures.

Vidar happily wrapped his arms around Honey and nuzzled his shoulder. When Honey looked down so did he. "Oh there's that book. I was looking for it a short while ago for reading when Hem was unhappy. Does he want it read to him? I could get the two of you a snack if you'd like that," he offered, figuring Quill still didn't want anything with him.

"Seems quill wants to look at it with you" honey explained with a small chuckle quill holding the book close to his body wanting to look at it more since hem wasn't going to fight him on it now that the older deer was outside.

Vidar's eyes widened a bit when Honey said Quill wanted him. "Okay, if he is sure about it," he said with a small smile. "Maybe you could see how Hem is doing if Quill doesn't want both of us," he said softly and stepped closer to Quill. "I have a nice comfy chair we can sit in together while I read to you. Would that be alright?"

Quill nodded slightly holding the book ever so closely. Gently reaching out his warm little hand took Vidars wanting to be shown the comfy chair while honey went outside to see what hem was up to.

Vidar smiled as he walked Quill to the chair that was near a small potbelly stove which was used to help warm the house when Vidar's magic was a little too strong. Once at the chair he helped Quill onto it first before sitting down next to him. "Did you have a part you wanted me to start with?" He figured Quill could easily point to what he wanted to know about in the book since the pictures always accompanied something.

Quill slowly nodded opening it to a creepy part with the darker magic the ravens being in the picture. Quill studying the page moved to another chapter showing a 'mythical' creature that was known to steal children and turn them into an army. Quill somewhat understood the story more then the book but wanted to know what Vidar knew about his village the little deer quite confused about what they where doing since he didn't understand that the story was suppose to teach kids not to wander off into the forest.

Vidar read the stories to Quill but noticed the young one's confusion. "Ah, these stories are to frighten children into behaving for their parents, not to run off into the forest at night and many other dangerous things. It's very dangerous in the forest, lots of animals that could kill a child or accidents that can hurt them. Before I met your mom the people in the village near my old home used to say if the children of the village wondered off into the forest the evil horrible winter mage would catch them and cut them up for ingredients in his potions," he sighed. He had never hurt any of them.
