Quill puffed out his cheeks and looked at Vidar before slowly pointing out the words to communicate. Taking a few minutes quill slowly put together the words. "He looks like this. He does dark magic" quill explained before pointing to Vidar since the book didn't have the word father.

"Your father looks like this? The ravens? Dark magic is not a good thing, it currupts the soul and every thing inside of you. I use to think I would turn to dark magic once, I was so lonely. Them Honey stumbled into my life and saved me from that darkness. But that's not what you meant huh" he asked softly.

Quill shrugged unsure how to ask his other questions since he was sure the books didn't have the right words. Frowning slightly he watched out the window unsure what to do.

Vidar smiled softly then looked out the window as well. "Quill, would you like to meet my grandmother? She lives nearby and I'm sure she'd be happy your mom is back and will be please to meet you as well. And she has strong magic like I do so she can help me protect you, your mom, and Hem from anything that comes here."

Quill looking at Vidar gently motioned with his hands signing his next words slowly wondering if Vidar would understand. "He won't hurt us...just wants me to visit" quill signed unsure if Vidar would understand since honeys translation was iffy.

Vidar frowned then sighed. "The ravens made it sound more like Honey stole you from him and he wants both of you back. Not visit but back with him forever," he said softly. "Maybe I'm wrong or maybe the birds lied. Sometimes familiars get things wrong."

"Dad was suppose to have me for thethe summer but mom didn't like it" quill signed glad Vidar could understand him. "They got angry and next thing I knew I woke up here" quill admitted not sure why the two had fought to begin with. "I don't like them fighting" quill added before moving to find another section of the book for Vidar to read.

Vidar nodded slowly then hugged Quill a bit. "I'll see if I can ask your mother about it. I suppose I would like to meet your father, if he holds no danger to our family. And yes I'm already considering you family. Hem won't like it but my brother didn't like me. Can you write or just read?" he asked softly figuring Quill could read since he was pointing at the words. Read but not talk. Maybe he didn't know this language.

Quill nodded able to write and read just as well since honey had taught him. Gently snuggling into Vidar hem smiled softly wanting to be held and coddled just a little.

Vidar smiled softly as he rubbed Quill's back as the boy got comfortable. "There now, just rest and I'll read you more stories," he said softly. Hem hadn't let him do this in a long time.

Quill nodded and snuggled down enjoying the small comfort of being loved. Watching Vidar a little quill blushed and laid his head down so he was nice and comfortable in Vidars arms.

Vidar started at the front of the book and began reading the stories to him. He tried to explain the meanings of the stories as well even if this just put Quill to sleep, the boy seemed to have a lot of worries so maybe a nap could help.

Quill did eventually fall asleep the little deer out cold from the warmth and sudden safety if Vidars arms.

Vidar smiled after a bit when he realized that Quill had fallen asleep. He was careful as he got up then tucked him in with a nice warm blanket. It was nearly noon so he should fix their lunch. But first, he needed to check on Honey and Hem to see if they were alright. And if they had any suggestions for lunch.

Honey and hem where outside working in the garden the two slightly talking but focusing more on weeding and watering all the produce.

Vidar smiled softly as he stepped outside. "Hello, the two of you are really bust. It's almost lunchtime. Anything I should try to make that either of you would like? I can also get you something to drink since the two of you are working so hard."

"Water would be find and sandwiches" honey replied keeping busy with hem who was working on watering the pumpkins. Hem more relaxed looked at Vidar, " I want vegetables only I don't want meat" hem stated with a frown.

"A vegatable sandwich?" Vidar asked softly never really hearing about something like that. "So just a big salad?" he asked feeling silly for not understanding completely but he understood why Hem might not want meat. "Honey, what kind of sandwich would you like?"

"I'll take something light and some vegetables" honey replied taking a break from his work as he looked at his mate. "I'm also sure if you toss vegetables onto a nice roll hem would feel more included in our eating habits" honey added with a smile.

"Okay. Lot's a veggies," he chuckled. "I think I'll just make a large salad for myself," he said with a smile and went inside and returned quickly with glasses of water for them and handed them over. "It should take me long so find a stopping point," he said with a soft smile then returned inside and began working on their lunch. He hoped he fixed the food right then chuckled to himself that he was fixing a meal for his family and how not so long ago he would have never thought this would happen.

The two sipped their water before heading back inside hem going to find quill and see what he was up to as honey took a nice shower washing the dirt off from his long fur.

Vidar was focused on what he was doing but also tried to keep an ear out for arguing brothers but he hoped they could work something out and be friends with each other. He knew it might take some time for this to happen but he still hoped that they would become close. "Hem, I'm almost done with lunch," he called out, unsure if Honey was out of the shower yet.

"Quill is angry at me I think?" Hem mumbled unsure of what his brother was saying the younger deer using his hands to try and explain something to hem to no avail.

Vidar stopped what he was doing and went over to see what was the matter. "He seems to be trying to tell you something. Maybe I can make a spell for him that will make the words he needs appear in the air till he learns to speak. Okay, Quill try to explain it to me."

"Quill cannot speak. He doesn't posses vocal cords" honey replied showing the small scar on the boys neck that was hardly noticeable. "Quill wants to be shown around the house by his older brother and wants to join him for lunch" honey added still drying his hair the whole time as he stood naked in the room.
