“So we aren’t going” Honey replied with a frown having been excited to visit the ocean.

"When is it that you want to go? You know we don't have to rush things right dear? You always seem to be in a hurry for things."

“...my kind don’t exactly live forever at most I have atleast five more winters with you” honey replied as he looked away clearly upset b6 the cold hard truth that had been on his mind lately.

Vidar was dumbfounded and it showed on his face before he pulled Honey closer and held him tightly. "I'm going to lose both of you so quickly? No, I don't want that to happen," he whispered.

“I’m sorry” honey replied as he snuggled into Vidar lovingly. “I don’t think it will be exactly five years though” he admitted.

"I want you to stay with me forever," Vidar said softly then kissed him. "I don't know what I'll do without you Honey. How will I teach Hem?"

“Most parents die after their kids are fully grown...hems almost there where he can defend himself” honey admitted with a small smile a little sad

Vidar's shoulder's slumped as he thought about losing Honey. He had purposely avoided other people because he feared losing someone he love and no it was going to happen faster then if he had been with a human. "And then Hem well died after that," he whispered. He'd lose his mate and son in what would be the blink of an eye to someone like him. Why didn't he just hand Honey over to someone else who'd look after him? He could have spared himself this much grief. "I don't want you to die. I don't want Hem to die."

“...unless you have some magical spell our best bet is finding you when we are reborn” honey admitted with a small smile his species often being reborn into the same species and sometimes having memories of their past life’s. “Even if I die I doubt I would leave you...I’d stick around as a ghost or be reborn and hunt you down!” Honey declared as he huffed and hugged his mate tightly.

'All I can even think of is to move your soul into something else," Vidar groaned as he ran his hand through his hair and pulled hard on it. His mind was in chaos. When Honey hugged him he held his mate close and pressed his face against Honey. "I love you my handsome deer. Maybe if your spirit stays I'll be able to feel it and we can still be together some how," he whispered.

“What if I made myself a body?” Honey asked curiously wondering if he could do it. “I know a deer that hasn’t aged and knows what to do would you mind if I did it?” Honey asked his mate not liking him sad.

[MRiceball]

"I'm not sure. I don't want you to force yourself into something just because I'm unhappy. If you think it's best to be reborn then maybe you'll be reborn as something that will have a long life like me," he said trying to smile. "And how is it you know so many people? I thought the villagers hated us."

“Well it’s not like they kept track of me all the time every now and then I would sneak off” honey admitted with a chuckle as he kissed Vidars lips. “I will leave in the fall and come back much younger I promise” Honey whispered as he snuggled up to his mate adoringly.

Vidar held Honey hoping to hide the panic on his face at how little time they had together. He didn't want to let go or for Honey to see how frightened he was about losing him. "Don't worry baby," he said softly as he stroked his mate's hair.

“I’m not scared to die” honey admitted quite calm about the whole ordeal but he was happy with the life he had. “If I haven’t met you I wouldn’t have lived such a long life” honey admitted.

Vidar frowned at the thought about how they had met and kissed his mate's forehead. "I guess not and we shouldn't cheat nature by trying to make you live longer. I could mess it up you and be trapped in life forever but not in a good body," he murmured. "Have you talked to Hem about this? I don't know how to tell him or explain to him that mama isn't going to be around forever."

“ I explained I would be leaving soon and he would live with just granny and dad...he understood after awhile but I don’t want him to worry about his age...I think he will live as long as you I mean he is half wizard” honey admitted as he snuggled his mate having gotten all of his affairs in order for the past few months.

"Well maybe not as long as me but I can still hope he will be with me for a long time. He has magic so we can travel when he's older for his training. It's a tradition," Vidar explained as he stroked Honey's fur. "You're so handsome Vidar," he whispered before kissing him.

“Mmh I agree” honey whispered with a chuckle as he snuggled his mate and just enjoyed the simple moments with his beloved as he watched the sun slowly set.

Vidar held him close as he looked down at Honey's face, just committing every tiny feature of his face to memory. He never wanted to forget the man who had melted the ice around his heart.

“Don’t look sad my love” honey whispered as he snuggled up to Vidar and relaxed wanting to sleep a little in his mates arms as he held onto him tightly.

Vidar tried but could only sigh heavily before kissing Honey. "I'll do my best to make sure your time with us is as happy as can be. We'll make as many memories as we can," he promised as he held him close.

“I’ll stay until the leaves touch the ground” honey whispered as he smiled and kissed his mates nose.

Vidar smiled softly then kissed him softly. "Tell me everything you want to do before then. I can do something to make something so Hem could see the memories since he's still young," Vidar said as he reached up and stroked his mate's hair.
