"So many fish" Yukie mumbled as he sighed and looked at Yumro before heading back the male having enjoyed being around Yumro. "Ren has made us fish" Yukie explained on the way back still holding raven quite close to his body. Yukie opening the door slightly peeked in at his family.

Ren was just in the middle of setting the table as the two came back. The twins played under the table and some times crawled over to Ren to pull in his legs or tease him by each grabbing one of the shifter's legs so he would drag his feets along the floor as he moved around. Both screamed out In joy and laughed so hard that their cheeks turned pink.

Ren didn't mind the twins playing with him though his legs were slowly getting tired with the extra weight on them, the wolf laughed almost just as much. "You two monkeys are just so clingy" Ren giggled just before he noticed Yukie's scent and turned his head towards the door. The smil on his face grew wider as his eyes caught the sight of his mate. "Hey strange, welcome back. Just in time for dinner" the wolf greeted his lover with an joyfull voice as he dragged his feets towards them.

 

Ren then bent down to give Yumro a small squeeze and kissed the boy's cheek as he told the teen to go wash up before dinner. Yumro returned Ren's smile and nodded before taking off to find the bathroom.

 

The shifter then stood back up and lightly caressed Yukie's face in his hands as he looked up at him. "You look like you could use some food and a long shower"

"Mmmh, you've been busy" raven replied with a smirk the teen poking at the fish before then quite happy that they went fishing. Raven continuing toto poke the fish he caught with his bare hands smile and looked at the two.

 

"A shower would be nice" Yukie admitted with a small chuckle knowing raven knew everything the two had talked about. "I feel better staying in the home now" Yukie admitted with a small smile.

Ren turned his head back to Raven and smirked. "Well you caught most of the big onces. I was too busy watching the little onces to really go all wolf out and give you some proper competition. But I do know a thing or two about preparing and cooking wild caught meat" the wolf winked teasingly back at Raven.

 

The wolf then shifted his hand from Yukie's face to his waist, he then held him there in a small embrace. "Good, I like it best when I can be by your side and have my wicked ways with you" the last part he kept in a low voice just between the two of them as Ren leaned in for one last quick kiss before heading back to the kitchen.

"There is time enough if you wanna shower first, I just need to grill the fish and then it done...Oh yeah" Ren said on his way but then turned back arousal he remembed something. "It's new moon tomorrow so I might be a little weird in the day but would you like to run with me tomorrow night?"

Raven watching the encounter snickered as if knowing some secret Ren didn't and went to go find some plates. Yukie watching Ren closely was surprised by the ssudden information and with a blush mumbled yes before hurrying off to take a shower the male clearly bothered by the flirting. "You know he likes you more then he liked me a long time ago." Raven admitted amused to see his beloved master so happy with a family of his own.

The wolf couldn't help but to find his mate adorable when he got so cute and smiled happily to himself as he sat the twins in the playpen.

 

"I don't know about that" Ren said as he he warmed the pan. "You mean a lot to him. I'm just happy that Yukie's heart is big enough to have let me in as well" He admitted. Ren knew Yukie lover Raven, he wouldn't had carried the other's soul around for this long if the person didn't mean the world to him.

In a way Ren always grew unsettle when he thought were ever or not Yukie would do the same with his soul when he died.

Maybe Ren didn't wanted to know. When it happened perhaps he would rather just let faite do with whatever was left of him to change. He didn't wanted to become an burden to the person most precious to him.

 

He hadn't noticed how these thought slowly had made his body still or how he had kept starring down in the emty pan before a bit of smoke caught his nose.

Quickly he moved the over heated pan aside to cool and turned on the airhead. "Sorry I spaced out for a moment there.. maybe I'm already feeling the shift of the moon tonight" the wolf tried to laugh it off as he turned to face Raven as he leaned his hip back on the counter.

"Is still strange to me the way the two of you are connected but I do respect it, and I'm happy he has you her"

"Mmh it's kinda not a connection...more like a bodyguard thing with a lovers past but now we are kinda just friends" raven admitted their relationship quite weird but the teen understood Yukie's need to keep him close since raven was able to easily calm Yukie. With a small sigh he looked to the bathroom knowing Yukie was taking his time washing up since he had been covered in a lot of dirt and mud. "Sometimes I wish he could move past my death and not carry me so close but I know it's hard for him since we are so dependent on each other to survive" raven added his words quite sad but full of wisdom. "Since I've been back he's worked less and I've been helping keep the natural order of things. When your time comes when you get old...make sure he has a lot of pictures of you...and make sure you don't let him hold onto your soul...because if you don't you'll end up a shrine guardian like me, despite my accidental creation and how well I'm treated I wouldn't want anyone to be bound to serve my master when there's such a beautiful world to explore'"

The wolf licked his lips as his throat started to grow tight. It didn't help Raven pushed all the right buttons or comfirmed what Ren really was worrying about inside.

He tried to push his emotions down, but the sad expression on his face revealed him to the world outside.

"I should get a carmera then, before my face gets all wrinkly" Ren answered with a light sad smile, his voice barely making it around the lump in his throat.

 

"Baaaa!!" The small baby boy Hunter (I'm just naming the twins now) screamed an angry loud cry because his twins sister Sara had started pulling hard in him.

Sara looked as if she didn't get why her brother could understand what she wanted and pulled yet another time in his arm. Hunter swung his free arm at her, scratching her just below the chin which lead to Sara going from shocked to in tears.

In a way Ren was thankful to the two for changing the atmosphere as he went over to break the two apart long enough for him to calm Sara down. The scratch was barely noticable but he still kissed the red spot to help make the pain go away. "I think you two are a little too tired to play anymore, after dinner is night night"

 

Ren kissed his girl like the carring parent he was but instead of placing her back in the playpen, she was brought over in one of the two baby chairs.

 

"I'll grill the fish now" the wolf said as Sara sat on her own and looked to Raven "Can you started rounding everyone up?"

 

 

 

After washing and drying himself off Yumro tried to search for his brother. He hoped Haruhi would be with him and Rin instead of being on his own. When he finally found the centaur the teen was almost too afraid to speak aside from a small "Hey" Yumro wasn't sure what to say. Would Haruhi be angry or uncomfortable around him.

"Naomi is taking a night off and wants to skip dinner" Yukie explained coming out with half dried hair as he was followed by raven who was trying to sneak a bite of fish early.

 

"Dinners ready...we should eat together" Haruhi mumbled a little shy around Yumro but not holding a grudge against the male.

Yumro looked up as the other talked to him and smiled a bit easier. "Yeah.. can we sit together?" the teen asked more relaxed than before ad he held his hand out for Haruhi's. "..I'm sorry if I startled you this morning.. I wasn't my intention but I'm learning to crontrol myself from now on"

 

"He isn't getting sick is he?" the wolf asked as he placed the dishes on the table. He hadn’t seen much to Noami today since getting to the house, and to be honest he had worried abit if something was going on. He could come up with a couple of reason for Noami to want some space. The wolf wasn't close enough to Noami to ask but he hoped the demon would get better by the morning.

 

"Ej!" Ren was quick to act and pulled Raven back by pulling in his shirt to keep him away from the fish. "Sit, we eat together by the table" the wolf smiled as he lightly clapped the boy's shoulders before calling out to the others. "Boys! the food is ready, come eat"

"Its okay I know you where just angry at being woken up" Haruhi replied the centar pulling Yumro off to dinner.

 

"Naomi has about...three weeks left maybe according to his lifespan stone" Raven admitted with a small frown looking at Yukie who shrugged.

 

"Hes been sick for a while hence why I decided we would adopt his children he doesn't want to fuss over his time ending " Yukie added not liking that his mother's body was getting ready to pass.

 

"Its the way things are. And Naomi has set up how he wants to pass and he's given Yukie his final wishes." Raven added backing off from the fish the teen sulking and going to wait at the table.

Relief washed over Yumro in one big wave. His smile turned into an grin as he locked hands with the adorable centaur whom he let leading him to the dinning room. Deep down the teen know there would be many more times in the future where he had to battle his inner demons. But for now, he just wished Haruhi would never stop taking his hand. Like he had just now.

 

Yumro walked faster so Haruhi wouldn’t have to pull him, so he could walk beside him instead of behind.

"I could eat pretty much anything by now, I'm starving" Yumro chuckled just as his stomach had started to untangle the nervous knots and growled hungrily for food.

At first he had been about to say that he could had eaten a horse. But then he thought it would be the right thing to say to a centaur.

 

 

"Oh..." Ren had not idea what to say. He hadn't imagine something this bad. Now It just placed an tense atmosphere around the room and he had no clue what to do.

The wolf looked at his mate's face, trying to figure out something as he watched him in consern.

Which was just as Haruhi and Yumro came in.

Ren placed his hand against Yukie's chest, there was a lot of emotion in he's touch but he let it wait for now.

"Lets eat first.. then we'll talk about it after" Ren replied as he gently reached down to wrap his hand in Yukie's and guided his lover with him to their seats.

Yukie nodded and sat down his food looking quite wonderful as he served everyone up and made a plate for Naomi in case he was hungry later. Raven looking at everyone snickered before taking a bite. "You all look so down, cheer up and enjoy the time we have together as a family" raven added with a happy smile making Yukie chuckle and eat his food the male glad raven wasn't so serious like he had always been growing up.

 

"Keep eating nothing but fish and maybe you'll turn into one!" Yukie teased playfully as he offered his mate a bite of his food clearly not to bothered by the task at hand.

The wolf leaned forward and picked the piece of offered fish off the fork with his teeths. "That remindes me!" Ren started to speak up after licking his lip off sauce. "Why don't we take a family photo?"

The male suggested with a smile look over at his love exited. "We hardly got any photos of the kids so why not take one of us all before everyone growes much more?"

 

"Dad aren't that very old school? No once dose that these days" Yumro uttered from his seat, he wasn't gonna end up in some embarrassing photo.

"A photo sounds wonderful!" Yukie added extremely excited and happy to do such a task since he had never really had any photos of anyone to hang up. "After dinner let's take some!" Yukie declared to happy to realize Yumro's embarrassment about being in a photo.

"Oh damn it, I not gonna particpate is silly!" the teen cryed out In protest, but no one seemed to care about he's opinion. Ren would definitely make sure the boy stood and smiled in the photo even if had to use dirty tricks.

Yumro closed his eyes as as he breathe in an turned to look at Haruhi. "You'd think parents did what is best for their children and listen to them" the teen mumbled and rolled his eyes towards his parents.

"Yumro! Eat your food" Ren warned the boy with an sharp look. He had to act tough and not let the growing kids play around with him all the time. He were a parent first of all.

Turning back as Yumro had lowered his head back in he's plate, the wolf continued to come up with ideas for where to that the shot. Ren said that if they gathered everyone outside on the patio ot would surely make a killer background.

He also wondered if Noami wanted to be in it, but that question he would ask later after dinner.

"Thank you for the food" Yukie replied cleaning up his plate as he gently took Naomis up to his room Yukie wanting to check on the male. Naomi of course was awake the commotion being quite interesting to him. "Thought I could keep you company while you eat" Yukie whispered looking at Naomi who sat in the dark. "Scoot" Yukie added crawling into bed with the man as he snuggled Naomi in his arms Yukie's body resting against the headboard.

 

"You don't need to comfort or ease my pain, it's not part of your job" Naomi mumbled his voice quite weak.

 

"I wasn't raised a monster." Yukie whispered repeating the words Ren often told him. "As tradition I'm here to grant your last wishes no matter how ridiculous" Yukie teased as he comforted his poor mum.

 

"...we discussed this days ago I wish to die alone in a meadow...I want you to take me and abandon me like I did to you when you needed me" Naomi added being firmly set on how he was to die the man wanting to feel the fear and loneliness Yukie had felt at the hands of Yu.

Ren just nodded and smiled understanding, he wacthed he's lover exused himself and guess from the plate where he was going.

The wolf turned in he's chair and leaned back with an deep heavy breath. His chest felt tight with sorrow for he's partner. The relationship between Yukie and Noami from what Ren understood weren't an easy parent - child relation like the one Yukie and Ren had with theirs. But Noami was still Yukie's only living parent.

 

After feeding the twins, Ren started to take off the table and do the dishes.

"You guy’s can go until we are really to take the photo, I'll call." Ren told the child as they finished eating.

 

"What do you wanna do?" Yumro asked Haruhi curiousely as he waited for the other to finish.

Anything would be great if it meant not having to think about that damn picture.

"....I don't know." Haruhi replied looking over at his mother's room unsure if he should check on Naomi...."I'm going to go spend some time with my mom" Haruhi mumbled as he went and shut the door behind him as if shutting the others away.

 

"Naomi is asleep" Yukie whispered his wings wrapped warmly around Naomi as he held the other male close not allowing to let Haruhi any closer to Naomi.

 

"...I can't go with you tomorrow can I?" Haruhi asked not liking that he couldn't say goodbye.

 

"...it's not safe, but Ren will be here for you he can hold you closely" Yukie added moving his body the demon making Naomis sleep quite painless for the moment as he sighed preparing to leave quietly. "Go be with Ren and let him know we can do the picture tomorrow morning..." Yukie added easily moving out of the bed as he carried his mum close and out of the room heading outside past everyone his body leaving the rooms slightly freezing. Haruhi looking after them was confused and a little scared but clung to Ren instantly burying his face in Rens chest.

 

"Father said I'm to stay with you..." Haruhi whispered his heart breaking.

Yumro followed Haruhi's eyes towards Noami's room and immediately catching on there was someone he rather wanted to be with right not. "Yeah, I get it" Yumro replied with an nod. Sad eyes followed the centaur as he got up and Yumro had to keep himself from following. He wanted to be with Haruhi, he felt like he needed to be with him somehow but didn't know what he could do for the centaur.

 

Sensing the mood around his son Ren went over and gently placed his arms around the teen in a gentle embrace.

"You are doing great Yumro" the wolf said as if answering the boy's thought.

"How?" Yumro asked as he looked to Ren. He was confused to what he's Dad had meant. "I don't know how to crontrol myself yet nor how to help Haruhi... I don't want him sad, I like his smile the best"

 

Ren smiled and shook his head as his chest grew tighter. Seeing he's baby almost all growing up and having these kind of problems made Ren somehow proud to have carrying this creature into the world. "You allowed him space, thats a start. Let Haruhi decide what he wante while things are how they are, but make sure he knows you are there for him if he needs you."

'I do the same thing with Yukie all the time' Ren thought but let that part out of their conversation.

 

Both their heads turned at the sound of the door opening watched as saw them step out.

"Yukie.." the question hung in the air but Ren didn't try to ask as Haruhi went over to him. He hugged the child tightly in a warm comforting embrace with one hand gently petting the centaure's soft hair. He caught his mate's eye just before the person left and saw nothing but grief and sadness in his lovely face.

"Don't do something you are gonna regret later, you only got one change" Ren let the thought slide through their bond in a warm wave of comfort.

 

"It's alright love.. Yukie is gonna take good care of him" Ren spoke gently to Haruhi and kissed the top of the boy's head. "But it's alright for you to be sad too"

 

Yumro stood at first completely still not knowing what to do. He had never seen Haruhi this broken before. Slowly the teen tried to see if Haruhi would allow he's touch as well by gently rubbing the centaure's back at first to test the waters.

"If you are fine with it I'm here for you too okay. If you need someone to punch I'll gladly take a beating from you" Yumro said honest earning a small frown from Ren.

 

"Why don't we make something hot to drink?" Ren asked Haruhi as he peeked down at the boy face (drying his tears away with the male's fingertips.(if he is crying)

Yukie held his mother close as he carried the male off to the meadow Naomi had chosen. Yukie gently laid Naomi down watching him quietly knowing that Naomi wanted to be abandoned Yukie couldn't do it and slowly crawled over and snuggled beside Naomi his wings keeping the other warm against the cold morning air as he slowly watched the sun rise one last time with his mother.

"I want hot chocolate" Haruhi mumbled his voice broken and quite sad as the deer went and curled up on the couch.

"You got it sweetie" Ren answered and patted the boy's cheek before Haruhi turned towards the livlig-room.

Yumro didn't say anything, he just followed the centaure and as Haruhi crawled up on the couch. The boy just lay down next to him, laying his body up behind Haruhi's back, he gently cuddled up to him without saying anything thing.

 

 

Ren knew Yumro would do he's best to take care of Haruhi while he made the hot cocoa.

After a while Ren came out with a big tray with hot chokolade and fresh baked cookies for everyone.

"Here this will warm you up. I'll just go get the twins then I'll be right back" the wolf gently smiled at the two curled up on the couch.

"Thank dad." Yumro replied and slowly got up as Ren left the room. He reached for a cup and poured one for Haruhi. "Here" Yumro gently took one of Haruhi's hands and press the warm cup to his palm to take.

"...am I going to sent back now that I don't have parents?" Haruhi asked Yumro just staring into his hot chocolate the male slightly dead on the inside.

 

"Youll most likely move here when you get older, I doubt Yukie is just going to let the elder teach you how to care for your home" raven added popping down from the rafters. "I mean he may have had to kill a few people yo get you into your new status as ruler but he's not ready to just send you off to take over one of his kingdoms" raven finished as he took a cookie.

"Of course not!" Yumro answered, frowning as he wrapped his arms firmly around Haruhi's stomach. He nuzzled his face against the centaure's shoulder blade until he stop and rested his chin there.

"I wouldn't let anyone take you away, you belong here with us okay" the teen said in a low voice next to Haruhi's ear. He sounded determind and Yumro did mean evey word. Haruhi belonged we him not somewhere with people who could care less for the centaure than he did.

 

"Haruhi aren't going anywere" Ren said as he came back into the room with both of the twins in his arms.

Ren gave Haruhi a smile encouraging him to take sip of he's chokolade.

"Yukie and I will make sure both you and Rin can stay here with us for as long as you want"
