"Then I guess now is as good a break time as any" Rose said before she continued. "I'llgo right to thr reason for this call, and remember the only reason is because I love you, okay... Are you and Julius fighting? cause he has been really strange and closed off since yesterday. When I mentioned you he left with his stuff in the middle of class.. He is the biggest nerd at the school and I've never heard off him skipping classes before. I know you are busy but I know if his is like this, You are properly barely hanging on yourself... so could you two please just get it out! whatever it is, is it really worth it?"

“Rose. Seriously now is not the time for me to worry about this.” Yukie explained with a tiered sigh knowing he couldn’t just leave or he would make a horrible impression and possible enemy. “I’ll fix it okay” Yukie finished before hanging up and headed back inside. Through the meeting Yukie was distracted knowing his mate was upset rubbed him the wrong way. Frowning he stood up and looked at the man before him. “We will have to arrange for another meeting in a few days a pressing matter has come up.” Yukie explained only to receive an icy cold glare.

 

“Always the same with you demons can’t keep your word” the man snapped as he sat in his chair clearly pissed.

 

“No we will reach an agreement I promise just be a little more patient!” Yukie asked trying to reason with the man who seemed to only grow angrier throwing his table across the room.

 

“No! I’m tiered of being cast aside by you every time something comes up! I refuse to be put aside any longer!” The man yelled his fangs sharpening as he snarled at Yukie. “It’s time you where dethroned!” He hissed before lunging at the male Yukie snarling back.

 

-hours later-

 

Haru frowned as he stood at the dorm door carrying a large bag in his arms wanting to see if Julius was even home.

Julius wasn't in the best of moods as he left. He felt annoyed over the smallest of things, kicking rocks that crossed his path out of the way. He didn't even wanna go back to his room, so he had just thrown his bag into his locker and walked off from there. He spenr the next 2 hours alone with his own thoughts thinking about what had happened that morning. He was angry, sad and frustrated. He wanted to have left yukie on better terms but the demon hadn't even wanted to speak with him. To get all the anger he felt out of his system Julius took off in a run. He wasn't use to working out this intensely, but the anger ate the pain in his legs away.

 

When his legs went out under him he landed on a bank of sand ond got it in every were. He hadn't even noticed he had reached the beach. Julius stayed down, panting hard as the sweat from his body dripped down to the sand that didn's already stick to him. He legs and body fought against him when he tried to sit up. Brusting the sand off his face the boy laughted. He laughted and cried into his sand covered sheeves for a long time till this eyes got swollen.

His legs trembled beneath him as he rose but ignored it as he slowly walked back to the dorms.

 

People were looking and rurning their heads as he passed them. Well, he felt like shit so it didn't bother him one bit.

He reach the dorms, but just as he reached down in his pocked for his keys he noticed someone standing before his door.

"Haruhi" Julius greeted the demon with a fourced smile as he unlocked the door.

"What brings you here?" He asked, kicking off his sandy shoes before entering.

“...Yukie said to leave you alone. But he won’t let me help him and keeps biting me they got in a fight and wouldn’t stop I had to force them apart and put Yukie in a smaller form” Haru explained his voice shaking as he held the bag all the closer. “Your his mate...he trusts you more then me” haru whispered knowing all to well they where fighting but he was scared and not sure what to do as the bag started dripping blood again the demon bending down and cleaning it away making sure none was left. “Please...can you at least hold him so he doesn’t bite me anymore at least” Haru added his arms covered in little needle teeth marks the angry little fox in the bag quite vicious.

Julius dropped his things to the floor and turned right back to haru with panic in his eyes. "WHAT! Yukie what happened to him!?" Julius paniced as he noticed the blood dripping from the bag.

 

He didn't wait for Haru to finish before he went for the bag's zipper and opened the bag. One of his hand went up to cover his mouth as he saw the little injured creature and it white fur covered in red.

He wasn't afraid to take the small fox into his arms. "If you keep that attitude up I'll kick your ass got it! Now be still will you" Julius warned the fox with a tight expression on his face.

“He got into a fight with another demon they where discussing a peace treaty and Yukie wanted to leave. The elder didn’t take it to kindly and next thing I knew they where turning into wolves and ripping into each other. I forced Yukie into another form and ran away before he got even worse.” Haru explained the poor boy quite worried and scared as he watched Julius take the fox out. Yukie hissed and screamed at Julius being all defensive and acting like he could still fight. Screeching and chattering at his mate Yukie squirmed wanting down Haru moving forward to help keep Yukie still only to get the little foxes hairs raised in defense as the white little fox hissed and bared his teeth making Haru flinch and step back

Julius had a firm hold in the skin on yukie's neck and held him lige the parents would have carried a cup in the wild.

"Yukie easy calm down you don't have to fight any more" Julius tried to calm the feisty ball of fur down. But yukie's nails scratched his cheek as he tried to get away. Julius groan at the stinging pain from the fleshwound but didn't lossen his grip. "If you are gonna to be stuborn then so will I be!" Julius said before mumbling out a spell.

Slowly as the words flowed Yukie's badest wounds started to heal. When the spell was done, yukie's bleeding had stopped and the deep bite wounds were somewhat healed.

 

Julius's hold onto Yukie got weak as the man sank to the floor on his knees. His eyes were pressed shut and his face twisted in pain.

Julius wasn't as skilled to healing as he did like to think. He only knew one spell, and that meant to heal the other accordingly to how much pain his own body could take. Julius might not have been the one wounded but it still felt like it.

"Now it shouldn't hurt as much" the witch said, opening his eyes and looking back at yukie with a smile. ,"Stop being such a drama queen, it dosent suit you."

Chattering and hissing at Julius Yukie huffed as he was held by his scruff his pain having eased greatly. Moving over to the two Haru removed the small bracelet around Yukies neck the demon sitting naked on the floor clearly not pleased. “I told you to stay outside!” Yukie scolded Haru not to happy that the younger demon had stepped into a dangerous fight. “Putting that aside your quick to use your school learning makes me question why you dropped out” Yukie explained as he moved and touched his mates face worried. “And you! Healing me like that what if you made yourself sick or fainted!” Yukie scolded not mad at either males just concerned. To Yukie it seemed he didn’t realize how horribly chewed up his boy was or how horrible the scars where looking into his mates eyes Yukie leaned in and kissed Julius deeply.

The moment yukie turned back to his human form, Julius's throat grew tight and his eyes avoided looking at him.

He stayed quiet at the demon scolded them each, but Julius didn't think the other was being fair.

No not at all. He was mad at him... yes he.. Uh Yukie was a really good kisser.

Julius gave himself over to yukie's sweet kiss as his eyes grew wet.

 

"You aren't fair! God Yukie, do you have any idea how scared you made me seeing you like that!" Julius sniffed as he fought the water in his eyes.

"And don't you tell me what I can't do. If you don't like me healing you, then don't get hurt, dummy!" Julius growled as he hid his face into the demons neck, still sniffing.

“Not like I was looking to fight” Yukie mumbled holding Julius closer in his arms. “I expect you to be yore angry with me for a few days. I know we left last time on bad terms but if you can stand for me to be around for awhile I promise to behave and stay on the couch” Yukie added not wanting to leave and not really being able to until he was in better fighting shape since he had just pissed off a bunch of older demons.

"I am pissed at you!" Julius said to make the fact clear.

"I've be sad and confused and then angry because I could think of nothing else but you, and the fact you are disapointed in me... but that dosen't mean I got the strenght to kick you out" Julius said as he pulled back from yukie's embrace to look over the demon's wounds.

He whinced, just by looking at them Julius felt them pounding under his own skin. He would get some darkmarks in those places and be painfull for a coulpe of days.

 

"We ned to treat your wounds, though I've stopped the bleeding and taken on half your pain, it could still get nasty if not dealed with" the witch explained before he tried to slowly push himself back up on his feets.He still felt weak on his feets from the long sudden run and now he was hurting to boozt. "There is a bathroom on the door to your right and towels on the shelf"

“Well then until your not pissed at me I’ll make myself quiet and scarce” Yukie added noticing the flinch. “...you healed me...and are in pain. You should have left me alone” Yukie whispered a deep pain in his eyes at the realization he had ended up hurting his mate not only emotionally but also physically. Nodding at the mention of a bathroom to clean up Yukie made his way to the room locking the door behind him the man feeling such deep guilt for how badly his mate felt not only emotionally but now he had dragged in his own wounds and unintentionally inflicted them on Julius. Taking a shaky breath he stood and turned on the water trying to calm down.

 

 

“....do I stay?” Haru asked Julius unsure if he was still needed or could head home.

Julius send the young boy a smile. He was thankful to Haru for bringing yukie to him instead of just keeping it all from him.

"Thank you Haru, you can stay if you want but if you'll rather be back home it's okay too." Julius said as he took the young boy's hands to examine the tiny bite wounds. "I can help you with the pain with some herbs I have if you want?" He offered the demon. "I'm afraid I can't use that healing spell that often, but I still knowes a few tricks" he said with a wink as he went to the kitchen.

Julius pulled out a ston bowl and mached up an ass load of herbs till it became a thick green past and held out a spoonful towards Haru's mouth. "You'll need to swallow this, it might seem nasty but trust me it actually tast of mint and it will disinfect and help healing you."

“Thank you” Haru mumbled with a shy blush easily swallowing the medicine before looking away. “It doesn’t hurt Yukie was teaching me sewing a few nights ago so my hands are pretty numb to needle objects” Haru admitted looking down at all the tiny bite marks. “He said it’s important one can repair kimonos and basic clothes when needed and it’s handy when it comes to sewing up wounds” Haru explained being painfully honest with everyone. “Thank god I’m not having to use anything I’m learning...how Raven survived working for him I have no idea” Haru whispered.

 

“Remind me to wash your mouth out when I’m better...gossiping is a foul thing” Yukie scolded standing dressed in some shorts and a tank top. Taking the demons hands Yukie looked at the marks before gently kissing his hands the wounds slowly healing. “Small cuts I can care for...anything bigger is Ravens job” Yukie muttered before heading to the couch and snuggled down into it leaving Julius alone like promised.

Julius reached out and petted the top of Haru's head. "Don't worry about him. Now if you wanna stay over you can sleep on the bed with me, it big enough for two and it is a lot better than the floor" And if yukie had a problem with that then so be it. Julius thought to himself as he peeked over at the demon resting on the couch.

"I need to shower but feel free to make yourself at home"

Julius said before entering the bathroom and shutting the door. He quickly got off his clothes and underwear. Je had sand in places sand shouldn't be and it made his skin itch. The sprayer from the shower were just the thing needed to get everything off.

“I-I don’t think I’m allowed usually we sleep in a separate room that was designated for us while training” Haru explained not wanting to get scolded by his master more. Nervously looking over at Yukie Haru walked over and sat beside him clearly choosing to avoid a scolding and deal with an uncomfortable night beside Yukie. Watching as Julius left Haru nodded after getting permission and went to the kitchen to make something for them to drink and decide on food to cook.

 

 

“Part of serving my household is serving my mate. He’s on equal grounds as me” Yukie explained to Haru who kept busy in the kitchen. “His words and rules hold just as much power as mine. In the event I cannot do my job his decisions are law, and in turn he will reside as the head of the household. Just because he doesn’t live with me currently doesn’t mean you can slack on his care” Yukie explained gently watching as Haru stopped to think about his masters words.

 

 

“To serve him...would mean sometimes to ignore you” Haru whispered his voice soft as he set down the tea for Yukie.

 

“It’s a hard task. Sometimes you have to make hard choices in life. When you care for and serve your elders house and care for the shrine they live in you might have to go against their wishes to honor mine. But never be afraid to speak for yourself, you serve under my name you hold my household in a high position of honor.” Yukie added as he sipped his tea carefully setting down a foundation for the man the demon would become.

 

“...you could have avoided this if you had trusted me to stay with Julius. Just until you finished work.” Haru whispered with a shaky voice. “You should also replace the man running the wolf tribe while it’s not my place to choose you can’t trust someone who doesn’t have any care for your household” Haru added holding the teapot he packed close to his chest terrified. Yukie smirking laughed ever so lightly before setting his cup down.

 

“Your right, when it comes to sorting out my own work it always took Raven to knock some sense into me.” Yukie added with a small sigh before getting up and ruffling the small demons hair. “ Julius seems to like you I think he would be upset if you where glued to my side all night. Besides I do have work to finish so keep an eye on him till I get back” Yukie added instantly falling though the floor and out of a portal leaving Haru standing alone in the living room with Yukies travel bag.

When Julius left the bathroom he couldn't help to scane the livingroom with his eyes. A emty cold chill went through him when he noticed yukie was gone. He stood touching the back of the couch where he had last seen yukie for a bit caught up in his own thoughts. The smell of food made him turn his head to see Haru standing by the kitchen iland. Being the type who couldn't cook everything in his kitchen were barely used and stood as new. It was kinda interesting seeing someone really use the stuff.

"Yukie is off again?" Julius more stated than asked as he took a seat on one of the bar chairs at the iland with crossed over legs. The witch let out a worried sigh without noticing it.

"Not even healed yet and he goes right back in.. I wonder if he really will be back.." Julius said feeling the same cold emtiness in his belly from before.

“Yes he told me to stay with you” Haru added finishing setting the table with a lot of different dishes. “I’m not sure when he will come back but, I know he will come back” Haru added with a small smile standing awkwardly in front of Haru. “My duties are to his household and to you as his mate so don’t be afraid to ask me to clean or run errands.” Haru added with a small blush.

Julius just nodded at te first part where haru told him yukie would come back.

He still felt te demon's kiss on his lips and hoped it would stay there until yukie was back.

 

"Thank you Haru, but I'm not so sure if I am the kind of type to order people around. But I must admit, your cooking smells nice."

[Yukonwolfspirit]

“Well until Yukie returns you have final say over all matters concerning his people. I’ve set it up for you to receive messages” Haru explained pulling out Yukies tablet from the bag and walked over to Julius and set the tablet in front of him before making Julius a plate. Setting the plate down he showed Julius how to unlock the tablet. “Each group is organized by color and name civilians are also encouraged to message and talk to Yukie directly. The elders of each species is marked with a star their messages have priority over civilians since they deal with care for all of their people” Haru explained having listened very closely when Yukie had shown him how to work the tablet two days ago.

 

“Any issues I can’t solve I will ask for your help but for now you have a few elders Asking for confirmation on appointments. If you aren’t busy you can go in Yukies place...but if you can’t you will have to reschedule. It might make some annoyed since these three have been put off for awhile like the last one Yukie was talking to If their request to see you is declined then you will have to send a gift apologizing for not caring Or making time for them.” Haru added with a small sigh scrolling through the five other appointments Yukie had for tomorrow. “Yukie treats them like mates and carves out time for them....but lately he’s been busy so they are loosing patience hence why he got into a fight instead of caring to work together they kept butting heads and these five aren’t any happier” Haru mumbled before walking to make himself a plate and sit down next to Julius so he could help him.

Julius watched and listen to everything Haru carefully explained to him. But there was one thing he noticed that bothered him. "Why do they want to meet me? I am human."'Julius frowned as he clicked to open the first message.

'Regarding matters of land distribution.

It is unreasonable why the vampires gets to have the forest grounds when they only ever uses it in the rarly. And leves it bloked for others to enter the rest of the year. We have tried agreeing to buy the grounds off of them but the price are much higher than we could possible pay. We have now decided to send this matter over to you. By your fairy king'

Another message came from the vampires. Explaing that the fairys were running over their their lands, and wanted someone to stop those little tree huggers.

 

And those weren't even the most stuborn of the messages send to yukie's inbox.

"Are they for real?" Julius asked looking doubtful over at Haru beside him.

 

Julius picked at the food and ate while he wrote as many back as he could. He even agreed to set up meetings with the elders as soon as tomorrow. He wrote down notes for each meeting about what was to be talked about. Haru helped him to get started but along the way Julius did everything by himself. He followed the patheren and worked by the tablet till early morning.

 

When yukie got back Julius was still sitting infront of the tablet with notes to both sides and resting his head on his folded arm, fast asleep.

“Your status is equal to Yukies when he’s busy or gone you are the next in command” Haru explained taking a bite of his food before looking over the screen. Reading the message Haru sighed and took another bite chewing fully before answering Julius. “Oh yeah vampires are stubborn and set in their old traditions when Yukie visits he has to dress how they prefer to make them happy. Fairies on the other hand...well I’ve personally never met them I don’t think they care for demon visitors I’ve only ever heard of Yukie visiting and moving them around to keep the forests around here from growing to much in one area” Haru added frowning at the issues they had been given. Walking through the work Haru helped as best as he could being so young he had wished Yukie had left to do his other job and asked Raven to step in to help.

 

“You seemed to stayed up late” Yukie mumbled looking at the two Haru up early starting on Juliuss laundry and breakfast having left his master to sleep under a blanket.

 

 

“Busy with work. Seems your here to either check in or just grab food?” Haru asked as Yukie took a seat in the kitchen fiddling with his phone. “Seems Julius worked out a lot of appointments. And addressed some pressing matters” Yukie mumbled accepting some tea from Haru.

 

 

“Seems you brought home a small gift? Guessing you had to pick up a surrendered child?” Haru asked peeking at the infant sleeping in the small carrier.

 

“Yeah parents had demon ancestors but where both born human. Child freaked them out and they signed him away the second they saw him” Yukie mumbled stopping Haru from getting any closer. “You wake him and I’ll actually beat you...he’s been screaming since His mother had him being rejected has made him quite...you could say mopey.” Yukie explained while getting up to help cook. “Think you could care for him until I find a placement? He’s part fairy and vampire so watch for biting” Yukie warned with a small chuckle.

 

“Thought we couldn’t mix species” Haru admitted sitting and watching the small infant sleep the child having beautifully bright blue hair and long ears but red eyes and fangs like a vampire.

 

“Gene mutation is common with those that wish to marry others out of their clan...there are about ten maybe twenty children spread out that as know. It’s uncommon but not unheard of so placing him won’t be a problem...it’s more so how long it might take it’s a long process and despite my efforts to keep him in his current home they where pretty firm on me taking him” Yukie finished setting out a plate for Haru to eat since he had been so busy.

And Julius kept sleeping. He might had turned his head so his cheek now lay down on his notes. But other whise he didn't move much.

“He’s out cold...has he been asleep long?” Yukie asked as Haru shrugged unsure of how long Julius had actually been deeply asleep. Getting up Yukie walked over and picked up his mate easily carrying him to his room so he could settle him in his bed. As he tucked him in Yukie kissed his head softly and removed the notes to keep back on the couch.

"Stay" Julius could only manage to speak out in.a small tired voice as he hung onto Yukie's sleeves. Julius's eyes were barely open but he was still looking at hi through his eyelashed.

"Stay please…"
