"I wouldn't want to share my nightmares," Tristan whispered as h looked out the window. "Kara, why did you want to help me so much? You didn't have to and it got you hurt."

Daniel held his tongue, he didn't think the master would want to be reminded that he had ordered them to kill Sampson to feed Tristan. "I think he feels the same master," he grumbled pasted the handle in his mouth. When the open was opened his tail began to wag as he saw Kara.

 

"I'm sorry for being so much trouble," Tristan sighed as he saw Zander and Daniel.

"Master says that I am a kind person. I love helping and you looked like you needed more help and I was gonna help you no matter what." she said looking at him. I live to help people."

"I don't think you are." he said looking at him and set food down on the food in front of him. "Hey Daniel have you seen my dog I haven't seen him today." he said as he gave Tristan the food.

 

Kara smiled as she saw Danny.

"I saw Sampson out in the garden this morning chasing the rabbits, I think to him they still smell like the gardeners who use to play with them so I do not think he will try to kill any of them," Denial said softly after setting the basket down and smiled back at Kara. "You could probably see him from the window since it over looked the gardens."

 

"Really it does?" Tristan asked softly and wondered if he'd be able to get to the window soon so he could look outside.

He nodded. "Tristan do you want to look out the window?" he said and didn't know what to say he picked him up and took him over to the window and looked out. "I don't see him." he said getting sad.

 

 

Kara looked at Danny and shook her head not sure what to do

"Yes I would," Tristan said with a smile and wrapped his arm around Zane's shoulders. He could tell the other was nervous about where Sampson could be but he knew the dog wouldn't be passing of old age for a while now, not after what he did. "Calm down, he might just be napping under a tree. Have you eaten yet? It'll be okay, have your breakfast then just go out into the garden and look for him. I mean it's easy for you to go there so you should enjoy your garden," he said with a smile trying to cheer the prince up.

Zander looked at them. "I'm not hungry." he said looking really sad that he hadn't see his dog that day. "I just miss him." he said, "He didn't wake me up today and that is out of the usual for him." he said sighing

"Okay, okay then just put me back on the bed and go look for him. If something happen, if he got hurt I can look after his injuries. He was such a nice dog to me so I'll gladly help him again," Tristan said softly. "Though I hope he has only managed to chase a rabbit out of the ground and is safe."

Zander nodded and put Tristan on his bed and went to look for his dog. calling out his name as he went into the garden looking around from him

"Good luck your highness," Tristan said with a smiles as he was set down.

 

"I should go with the master. He might need my help," Daniel said as he hurried after Zander.

 

"I hope everything is alright," Tristand said nervously.

In the garden Zander would have been able to hear the sound of whimpering, frightened, and exhausted barks coming from a far side of the large court yard.

 

"Sir, I think it's this way," Daniel said as he faced east then bounded off towards the sounds. "It sounds like it's at the far wall Sir!" he panted as he ran.

 

{I was thinking Sampson has been tangled in the vines exhausting himself and possiably strangling himself but if you would like something different that's okay. }

(I thought you already killed him but I am happy if he doesn't die for now I just had a dead of a dog so its still fresh in me and I don't know if I can write like that right now and it has been less than 24 hrs so its still really fresh)

 

 

Zander walked around and heard the noises then started to run towards the whimpering wanting to know if it was Sampson or not.

{Oh no, no I never kill the pets. I've lost too many beloved pets over the years to kill the pet. Sampson was dying from general old age before but Tristan gave up a few years for his life to Sampson so he'll live serval more years.}

 

 

Daniel grunted as he tried to push through the vines and found Sampson's face, after about half of his body was in the tangled of vines as well. "Hey there boy, just, just calm down and we'll get you out of here. "Sir! Master I've found him but his trapped, we'll have to figure out how to cut the vines so we can get him out safely."

 

"Do you think Sampson is okay? He was a really nice dog. I wish I could help," he sighed as he nibbled at the food that had been brought for them.

Zander sighed as he ran over to him and looked at him."Damn can you get some sheers?" he asked looking at him. "I might be able to cut it or I will get Tristan to help me out." he said

 

"I'm sure that he will be fine." kara said smiling

"Right!" Daniel barked and ran off to what use to be the gardener's shed. He didn't think Tristan would be much help with his leg being broken. And if Sampson was panicking then he might choke against the vines so he had to fast. It was hard for him to get into the shed and pull the old shears down from their peg. Getting them back to Zander was the hard part because if he ran he'd hit his legs agaisnt the shears and risk hurting himself.

 

"I hope so. I don't suppose there's is a crutch I could use to get around once it's safe for my leg. That way I could do some small tasks to help."

Zander talked to Sampson to calm him down he told him he would get him out of there soon and just to be calm. "If I need to I can go get him but you will have to say with my dog and talk to him." he yelled as he looked at sammy.

Daniel dropped the shears next to his master and grabbed at the vines with his mouth and back up so he could pull vines away from Sampson to try and an help the hound relax and so Zander could perhaps cut some of the vines away now with less of a chance of cutting Sampson with the shears.

Zander sighed and traced back the vine away from the his dog and cut the vine there making sure it was away from sammy his dog he wanted to make sure he was safe and sound.

Daniel did his best to hold the vines still as his master cut them then grabbed another mouthful once those were gone. He hated the taste and the way they dug into his tongue and gums but he refused to stop helping to free the poor hound. He didn't want his master or young Tristan to be sad about Sampson being hurt.

Once he could he pulled Sammy out of them. "Thanks Daniel we got him out safely." he said smiling as he set down to rest after all that excitement.

"You're welcome master," Daniel said as he tried to rub his leg against his tongue to get the weird feeling to go away. "I'll tatke the shears back to the shed sire," he said as he shook his head then picked the shears up again before setting them down. "Master, I don't mean to speak out of a place but perhaps Tristan would like to know that Sampson is alright? He seemed worried to me, just a little."

"Yeah I'll take Sammy to him." he said as he picked him up. "When you are done come on up alright I need help getting the fine vines out of him." he said as he started to walk to the tower. "Hey Tristan can you help me there are a few vine's I can't get off him."

"Vines?" Tristan asked softly then called out to the hound to get him to come over to the bed as he moved to the edge so he could lower his leg and look over him. "Thorns? He's all scratched up, if the vines had thorns some might be stuck in him. I'll need a few things for the vines and the possiable thorns."

 

 

"Those vines do bloom roses in the spring so it might have thorns," Daniel said as he followed his master into the room.

"Do you need anything else?" he asked looking at him and sighed. "I hate to have him in pain. Tell me what I would need to do." he said looking at Tristan. "I wonder why he went in there in the first place he never did that before."

"Um, you wouldn't happen to have a simple dotor's intruments would you? There should be something in there to help me grip the thorns to get them out," he said softly. "Clean water and soap for the cuts and stratches," he said as he rubbed the hound's head. "Perhaps he was chasing something? An animal and just went in too far?"

Kara smiled and looked at danny. "Can you push the bowl by the window over to me please." Kara said as she started to move even tho she should move at all. "I'll be right back I the only one that knows where that stuff is." she said

Daniel nodded and trotted over to the window and did his best to get her the bowl quickly. "Kara wait you can ride on my back and I'll go where you tell me to take you and I will," he said as he tried to help, wishing he had hands and arms to carry her and the things she needed.

 

Tristan watched, silent, wishing he could help them all return to how they use to be.
