He was a little nervous while standing there and even before on arrival, "I can take Alan's memories away from the healing I gave so he can forget everything about me, I tried to explain it to him but he wanted nothing of me so I need your help so I can free him of his pain. I don't want him thinking he did something bad when he wasn't even being himself. What sirens do is like a drug and the effects could wear off but sometimes they're permanent if allowed so I want to help if you let me. Just let me be somewhere near and I'll sing for him and it'll only effect him," he explained the best he could while fidgeting with his sleeves.

He looked down at the fox and gave a shrug.

Mark gave the siren a long, considering look. Then glanced behind him back into the apartment as though considering his brother's condition. He knew Alan was distraught over Lorius' death. But he also knew what he'd done under the effects of the siren's enchantment and the fact that he'd totally forgotten Lorius during that time haunted him.

He bit his lip and glanced back at Ara again. "Alright, wait ten minutes and then let yourself in. I'll distract him so he won't know you're here. But great Pan help me, making him forget anything that had to do with you better be the only thing you do!"

 

He looked like he was about to head back inside and then stopped as something occurred to him.

"Hey, have you seen Julius? I haven't been able to get a hold of him since he called me to pick up Alan."

He frowned. "Which is pretty unusual for Julius. Usually even if I call him at 3 in the mor- ouch!" he looked down and glared at the fox that had just bitten his ankle, and the damn bugger glared right back! "What's your rat's damn problem?"

 

His problem was that he didn't need the man causing Ara unnecessary worry. Of course if he could actually say that, there wouldn't need to be any concern about worrying him in the first place. He barred his teeth at Mark in a threatening manner and the satyr retreated.

 

"Ten minutes, and leave the rat outside!" Mark reiterated, shutting the door promptly in the fox's face.

"Stop," he went after the fox and he pried his mouth open and held him in his arms, "what is wrong you can't just do that," he sighed unable to answer his question, didn't want to say how he had pissed him off with his healing and it may had traumatized him.

 

"Alright ten minutes have passed now wait here," he told the fox and went in and was super quiet with his shoes outside and was walking in his socks and he had quietly got through the home and saw the two talking outside.

Alan sat there talking and looking so demaged and wished he had just died instead to be with Lorius and then he could forever be by his side but the longer he sat there and would speak his expression changed from demaged to a much more bitter sweet expression and stared out at the sky missing his love. If he was able to do that it must mean it had all been removed and had no memories of beig healed or who ever was the siren was.

 

Ara watched Alan and saw now how much better he was to not remember who he was and now held all of his memories after singing a small tune and it rememoved anything involving himself and assumes he just woke up healed after some intensive work.

Ara sighed quietly and he slipped away and he scooped the fox up in his arms, "let's go and ser my parents, I want to hear their goodnews," he nuzzled his face into his neck needing the comfort of this fur ball.

The fox shifted uncomfortably, settling down once he was comfortable and the pressure was off his wound.

He was glad Ara's parents had some good news for them, it would hopefully lift the siren's spirits and help him forget about the Alan incident. And Julius was fairly curious about it himself. He hope it was something more exciting than that they'd successfully evacuated the district.

Ara made it into the tunnels using the secret route and then the password which gave him access inside and he went to his parents who had a tent set up for privacy as did most of the families who were all making the most of it all.

Ara was hugged tightly and very quickly by his mom he had even stumbled back but gave her a kiss on the cheek, "I am fine Mom, now tell me the news," he sighed and sat down.

 

"Not yet but first lunch, you need your protein," she smiled so brightly and was glowing when she went to finish making the stee with fresh bread baking in the fire pit oven they had. Over the years of making these tunnels, families have basically made cabin like homes or furnished tent homes and learned basic survival skills or ways to build things out of nothing.

 

Ara sighed and found his dad who came walking back with some fresh water and he too was glowing, what the hell was gping on with these weirdos and why wefe yhey even being extra affectionate.

Julius slipped around unnoticed under foot, having slipped out of Ara's hold just before arriving. He knew the sirens' penchant for strong hugs and did not want to get caught up in that in this condition.

When it became clear that the news wasn't going to be shared until after they'd fed their son, he slipped away to explore a bit while Ara was distracted and had temporarily forgotten him.

After a small bit of exploration, he returned to the tent to find out the status on the food.

By the time the fox had returned the food was ready and Ara had made him a small bowl and had set down on the floor. "Now tell me what is the news," he sighed looking annoyed at his parents.

 

"Alright, well remember how I have always been told I'd never be able to have children again after getting sick from having you? Well the other day I wasn't feeling good and I fainted and had the shaman here check me," she explained and smiled at her husba d and then at Ara whose mouth had dropped.

 

"You're shitting me," he was quickly smacked but he hugged his mom, "I'm going to be a big brother, how far along are you?" He was in such shock and touched her belly which was a little swollen.

 

"I am already at 4 months and the shaman predicts a little girl, you'll have a little sister," she was smiling and gave Ara a kiss and told to eat and he did but with such a big smile on and asking about names and laughing.

Julius was ecstatic for them. Though in his fox form he kept it mostly to himself.

Once the excitement of the others had calmed down a bit, he had an easier time enjoying the food Ara had set aside for him.

Once he'd finished eating, he hopped up into Ara's lap, giving him a congratulatory nuzzle before settling down comfortably for a nap.

While the fox continued to nap it was eventually time to leave and he gave his parents a kiss goodbye and was walking out of the tunnel when a man had covered Ara's mouth and was pinned to the wall and he dropped the fox in his arms and those too got pinned by the man using his mind ability, something vampires could only do.

 

"Oh Ara, I have been told you know something of this situation," he glared down at the young siren but Ara didn't know what to say or even do so he kept quiet and was working on getting the tape off his mouth as the vampire was throwing his body against the wall and demanding him to write. Because if his mouth was free he would cripple the vampire and run.

The fox's yelp when he was woken by the drop was lost in Julius' throat as he realized immediately something wasn't right.

Soon as he'd taken stalk of the situation, the fox lunged at the vampire, biting anywhere he could sink his teeth. He hoped it was enough to give Ara a chance to act.

Once the vampire was distracted he quickly ripped the tape off and whistled at him till he ruptured his ear drums and picked the fox before he got hurt. "It is alright," he sighed and he began to hit the pipe near the tunnelbsonsomeone could fetch for him and they'll figure it out by the hidden cameras his dad had shown him. "Damn vampire," he kicked his stomach and walked away wiping his mouth where he had ripped the tape off which had made him bleed a little. "I am done with today I think it is nap time," he sighed wishing for Julius.

Julius snuggled back into Ara, wishing he could have done more to be there for Ara right now, but glad the siren was okay.

He sighed, just one more day and he could finally change back.

He had been planning to tell Ara about his fox form when he changed back, but now he was wondering if he should,

He grumbled and squirmed til he was more comfortable. He wasn't going to dwell on it. When the time came Ara would either know, or he wouldn't.

It was a tough walk back and a bus ride once he was finally able to catch one but hiding the fox was a little harder than he thought from under his shirt and jacket and he held him down every time there was a bump but humand kept staring over a little suspicious till he finally got off and he went the corner to let the fox out. "I am sorry but I hate walking outside in the dark all the way back to the human district," he sighed and felt so much better.

The fox shrugged it off and continued walking home. It had been a little suffocating, and he would have been able to manage the trip fine without being seen on his own too feet. But it was his own fault for not escaping from Ara's arms while he had the chance. This was probably better anyway. Ara would have probably worried himself to death if he hadn't had the fox in his arms.

Soon as they got home, the fox headed straight to bed. He was going to need his energy if he was going to return to his human form tomorrow..

"Dearg, Julius returns tomorrow so don't leave me alone for too long," he told feeling nervous but excited for his return.

So the hot shower never felt so good till tonight and then laying down for bed, he instantly fell right to sleep but kept having weird dreams so he tossed and turned in his sleep terribly.

Woken in the middle of the night by Ara's tossing and turning, the fox huddle closer to the siren, nuzzling him in an attempt to soothe his nightmares.

 

When morning came, he waited for Ara to wake up and start making breakfast to slip out. Five minutes later, Julius was letting himself in.

"Ara, It's me!" he called, giving him a heads-up before he freaked out.

Ara was still in bed having not slept well at all he felt he was up all night running in his dreams and by 5 in the morning he had finally slept soundly and lied there still and content but he could hear Julis's voice so he woke up and looked around thinking maybe he was having another dream. "Julius are you really here?" He walked around and then he went downstairs and saw that red hair so he rushed down and hugged him tightly. "Don't do that," he breathed knowing Julius must because of his job but he would rather he didn't and he knew Julius wouldn't care but he gave him a kiss because Ara needed a kiss.

Julius sighed. "I'm sorry Ara, I definitely should have done things differently. I should have talked to you properly first... but I wasn't really gone. I've been by your side this whole time."

He admitted. "I'm sorry for being an overly stiff prick, congratulations on being a big brother, and thank you for saving my life but I'm still pissed at you for not telling me the nature of your healing ability and not using it in moderation. There's no need to go all the way!"

"That's the thing Julius, I've never done this before but I knew with my family ring I'd be fine no matter what, my grandpa survived from a ship wreck he had died in but woke up on shore in Ireland and apparently he was also a viking," he shook his head so surprised but hugged Julius and happy to have him back. "I am sorry but I'd do anything for you," he sighed but happy.

Julius studied Ara, trying to figure out if he'd somehow already realized that Julius and the fox were one and the same (which didn't seem likely based off what the siren had said the night before), Or if he simply hadn't yet realized just what Julius had just said.

"Even apparently risk your life for a fox that makes itself scarce whenever I'm actually around." he hinted further, since apparently the comment about saving his life wasn't enough to to register with the siren.

Ara looked at him and pinched his cheek a little pissed off, "just tell me the truth the first time alright," he sighed and walked away to get dressed and he would leave. "I'm gonna go to my parents, my mom will need more help and she doesn't carry a ring so I know she'll need me since you won't need me anymore, your Allen is healed and even you," he looked at him while he found his things and was tossing them all into the bag and slipping his shoes on.

"Hold up." Julius said, grabbing his arm.

"I'm sure your mother could use your here and there, but she definitely isn't so far along that she needs you full time... and I do need you. I've slept better with you by my side again than I have since we were kids. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was a fox sooner. I changed so I would heal faster and I didn't want to tell you I was a fox because there was no hiding my wound in that form and I didn't want to worry you. Or you feeling like you had to try to heal me. And in the end you saved me from my own stupidity. What am I going to do without you?"

"And you know how it feels to be four months pregnant? Thinking back on it I can see it, she wasn't sick and throwing up but she had cramps for a short period and was always tired and she doesn't get as sick now but she is exhausted," he was thinking of any excuse but he was weak against this man and his eye. He chuckled a little and leaned in close to him, "I love you but I am still upset with you and would rather you had told me about being a fox when I first saw the fox days before," he huffed and lightly head budded him with a frown , "but being here with you for however long you need me is going to strain me so you much give me privacy and try not be so hot," he looked really desperate about that but just his scent alone was enough to make him bothered.

"I.. still wasn't quite sure about you at that point Ara. We hadn't seen each other in years and I was trying not to get you caught up in my world." He explained, only to fall into a teasing tone.

"And what, you don't want me to lie on my bed all pretty like one of those french girls? I think I'd be great live jerk off material!"

A little more seriously he added. "Yes I know you're a hormonal siren with the hots for me Ara. And if you want me to, I can lend a hand."

 

He frowned as he considered the look on Ara's face and what he'd just said. "I'm starting to sound really asexual aren't I? Don't worry. Eventually I'm going to be horny as hell and even you are going to start to feel I'm too much. The way I understand it, Foxes have a heat cycle. I'm just still young for a fox and haven't started mine yet."

"So you're willing to help me sexually but you're not all that attracted to me and you won't even be turned on the slightest with anything we do but you want to help me... yeah that is always hot to do where there is only one person sexually interested and is the only one even turned on," he looked so embarrassed and still a little pissed but not as much but hurt. "I want you to want me but you only do as a sleeping buddy which is great but like I said I have needs which is why I was even with Oriander and I'll wait for you but once you are in heat who is yo say you'd even be attracted to me," he breathed deeply and looked up at the ceiling.

"I can stay in the tunnels and help my parents but I can also come back to sleep by your side if you want me to or do you need me for any other job," he had asked ready to help but also too leave.
