Julius opened his mouth to respond, but then he shut it. He didn't know how to put into words what he felt for Ara. He was confused and unsure, and it was starting to frustrate him.

Shaking his head, he stepped back and turned away.

"That isn't...I don't.... grr... Never mind Ara. Go to the tunnels. Help your mom. You don't need to feel obligated to come back here to help me sleep. And no I don't have a job for you. Tell your parents I said I love them and congratulations. I'll try to stop in and say hello sometime."

 

He walked away to retrieve his phone from where he'd hidden it. He'd been gone for three days, he needed to get caught back up with what was going on and attend to anything urgent. And he'd much rather do that than try to sort through the shitty confusing mess that was his feelings regarding Ara. Most of it was unfamiliar to him and he didn't know how to classify it in the first place.

 

It was much easier to listen to Mark's chewing him out about the messy situation the siren thing had become, and him disappearing off the face of the earth in the middle of it all.

Ara didn't want to be pushed away but he packed his bag and kept hoping Julius would stop him but he never did and Ara continued to get his things and walked outside and counted to ten till he finally left the property and was going to the bus stop so he could go to the tunnels. But he wanted to stay at least for bedtime, now that he has reunited with Julius he has never noticed how bad he has slept without him as well.

For the rest of the day, Julius threw himself into work. It wasn't hard, he really did have a lot to get caught up on. Turned out Oriander had started to get bold. After not hearing from Julius for three days, he'd assumed the red-head had gotten himself killed. As a result he'd gone ahead and allowed a move to be made on Columbine District. Only to find out that it had somehow evacuated without anyone noticing. His angry tirade was cut short when he suddenly received a call from Julius out of nowhere.

 

"Preparing my funeral already? It's only been three days. How did you find Columbine District? Empty enough for you?" Julius could practically hear the fairy breaking into a cold sweat.

"That's alright. I'll forgive it this time. As you saw, I was already expecting it. However, I'm sending you something special. A little token to remind you why you don't want to cross me. Look forward it. That's all for now." By the time Oriander had thought of a response, Julius had long since hung up. After that he had some leads to follow up on that Mark had given him regarding the missing council members.

It was late into the night when he got home. He headed straight to bed without turning on any lights. He just hoped to pass out soon as his head hit the pillow and hopefully make it through most of the night before the nightmares hit him.

For Ara when he got back to his parents they made him get to work and he was behind his mother doing all the lifting or reaching for things and then she kicked him away when he got to be overly protective and was hovering but once when he was alone and sitting out by man made lake done by the water sprites and was of course thinking of Julius and feeling like an idiot but one of his hook ups came over amirking.

 

"Finally you are alone and not going to school, I haven't seen or heard from you in a while swe ought to catch up," the werewolf whispered leaning in with his golden eyes and gave a small growl.

Ara rolled his eyes and figured why not, Julius didn't want him now so he looked up at the wolf and kissed his lips and then nipped him, and soon the two were the wolf's tent and half naked with Ara on his back with his legs spread open for the beast who had his head buried down for the boy and sucking on him. But nothing was happening for Ara and has not gotten hard he wounded up kicking wolf off and he left with nothing and only frustrated. "Damn it Julius," he sighed back at the lake and was lying there bored and by bedtime it was worse, he was wakung up every ten minutes and grumbling while his parents slept soundly in each others arms so sweetly.

 

He sat up sighing and maybe a little jealous but he knew what he needed so he got dressed but was extra quiet while whistling a soft lullaby to keep everyone asleep while he snuck out of the tunnels and eventually made his way back to Julius and he slipped intohs bed where he was finally able to sleep and felt safe wrapped around him.

Julius was vaguely aware of Ara climbing into his bed, sleepily cuddling closer to the siren as he drifted off the rest of the way to a restful sleep.

He was a little surprised to find Ara there when he woke up the next morning. Sighing a little, he smiled and lifted a hand to smooth hair out of the sleeping siren's face. "I do find you attractive Ara. And I could happily spend my life with you. I just don't fully understand how any of it works for me." He murmured. Wishing he could have found the words to say that the previous day, and hoping he'd find the chance to repeat it when Ara was awake. Sighing, he eased himself away from Ara. Trying to get up without waking him.

He needed to shower, make a few phone calls, and hoped Ara would still be around by the point he got to making breakfast.

Ara fell into a deep sleep in his arms and by morning he woke up alone and came walking down and had wrapped his arms around Julius from behind and nuzzled closely, "I don't want to fight, now that you are back I need to have you in my life always. When I was a kid I didn't understand what I was feeling but I knew I loved you and when you were gone for so long I just fell in love and I too could not sleep with out you which is why I needed to come back," he sighed giving him a kiss on the back.

Julius hung up his phone, he'd been done with the call anyway, and took a deep breath.

"I love you too Ara." He carefully turned around in the siren's arms so he could face the brunette. "I got frustrated and gave up yesterday because you twisted my words into something untrue and I didn't know how to get what I really wanted to say across to you. I find you incredibly attractive Ara. And just because I haven't reached hormonal teenager age for my kind, doesn't mean that you couldn't still turn me on in the right situation. It just means I don't get horny over your mere presence...yet."

He leaned in and did something he'd never done before. Initiating a kiss with the siren for the first time. "I'd be very happy if you were the only one beside me for my whole life."

"I'm sorry I just have frustrated and you are difficult to read so I am sorry," he sighed felt so relieved to hear that and seeing him lean in gave him a feeling he has never felt before and he kissed Julius filling the gap and felt so silly because he has never heard those kind of words all about him and even be wanted by another and of all the people at least it was finally Julius. "Then I'll stay, so when does it kick in for your kind?" He blushed feeling so silly about everything.

Julius shrugged. "It could be next month, it could be three years. I'm functioning on what little information I've been able to find about my kind. I was raised by merfolk at a time when I didn't even know what I was. Nevermind them having any clue. And not a whole lot of people around here know anything either. There's not much to go by. I can only guesstimate based on uncertain information. My family clearly weren't from around here, and I haven't been able to find any information on the origins of the shipwreck I was saved from."

"Have you thought of speaking to our town's dark elders? They have a library for only us darks and it is quite interesting, I go there when I can there are some novels written by us for us so we don't need to keep reading normal human stuff," he sighed and looked at Julius and he gently stroked his cheek, "I love you," he smiled and looked around a little nervous of what to do next.

Julius shook his head. "I tried that. It's where I got what little info I have." Sighing he turned to the kitchen.

"Any breakfast requests? Also, I got home pretty late last night. I don't even know what time you got here. But do your parents know you're here? The last thing we need is your mom worrying herself to death in her condition."

He sighed and watched him turn away, "I left a note," he watched him very carefully but had to get closer and held him from behind in his arms. "Just some eggs sound good with toast... how about just talking to the elders and seeing what they know or trying other towns in other cities about their libraries?" He nuzzled his back loving the feel.

[Silverwyn]

"I've tried everything within a hundred mile radius of this city. It's enough to conclude that few of my kind have ever been on this side of the ocean. I'd have to try another continent. I don't have proper identification to travel by airline though."

 

And memories of drowning had haunted his nightmares far too many times for him to even consider traveling by ship.

 

It was a little difficult to move about as he made breakfast with the siren latched to his back, but he didn't shake him off.

It was long before he was plating Ara's eggs and toast.

"There you go." he set it on the counter as he started making his own.

"Then how about we get you some proper papers I'm sure you know someone who knows how to make a passport and ID or burth certificate for you," he sat sown to eat and sipped his water and felt much better with food in his stomach.

"And when you do get some papers I'll go with you if you'd let me," he felt a little nervous suggesting that part.

[Silverwyn]

Julius shrugged. "Maybe I will eventually. But it's not really a priority for me. Besides, you're parents will need you for a while. They've got a baby coming."

After plating his own breakfast, he shut off the stove, set down his plate and turned to face Ara.

"Tell you what. I can tell you're obviously sexually frustrated, so I'll be home by 9 tonight. Let's explore each other, and see where things go from there. Ok?"

"Then after everything and my mother has given birth let's go," he was smiling and then his haw dropped at the question but he nodded his head. "Yeah that was a little out of no where but sure," he felt so nervous now just thinking about it but felt so excited like yhis was his first time.

Julius smiled and kissed him. "Good. Now let's eat. We both have things to do today. If I finish today, i might be able to visit tomorrow. Don't tell your parents though. I don't want to get their homes up if something gets in the way." he said, retrieving his plate, and moving to grab them both forks.

Ara gave a smile and kissed his cheek, "I hope so so whatbare you doing today will you need me for anything? I left a note with my parents but iI need to call them later to the tunnel line," he sighed because he hated that line because it always took forever for him to get through or even leave a message if it even got too them.

Julius shook his head.

"It's nothing you can help me with... Or rather it's probably best if you don't come. I need to go pay Mark and Alan a visit. And later I have some things to do in my other form. The key factor is stealth so bringing you along isn't really an option."

"Oh those two then yeah," he nodded but he moved a little closer, "then I guess I'll go," he looked back at Julius and then gave him a kiss, I'll still worry about you so becareful and don't beccome someone's trophy," he told and gave anothwr kiss but this time just a lite deeper with his arms wrapped aroundand could smell hia scent and how it mixed with his body wash but then his phone rang and he answered which made him have to leave now. "I am sorry I gotta go," he gave another kiss on the cheek and then he slipped on his shoes and left quickly to get back too the tunnels because he was being summoned to babysit with all the other older teens and help keep an eye on been the little brats.

Julius watched him go and then moved to finish getting ready.

He didn't stay long at Mark's place, just long enough to get the information he needed and talk to Alan for a short while.

His reconnaissance work went fairly smoothly but he didn't get the results he was hoping for. After trying three locations from his list with little progress, he headed home to eat a small dinner and shower.

For Ara he spent a lot of it either caring for his mother or was sent out to watch after the children and help the babies for nap time by singing a lullaby for each one but of course he was still being stopped by local hook ups he would get with but Ara was a good guy and declined each one till night finally came and he left running back tobJulius and looking so excited to see him. The young siren wrapped his arms around Julius and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "I missed you," he whispered and hugged him tightly.

Julius returned the hug. Wrapping his arms around him in turn. "I missed you too. How was your day?" He hummed in question.

Eventually he pulled away to make sure the door was locked, adjusting the towel around his waist as he felt it loosening from the friction. "Do you need food or a shower or anything?" he asked as he started heading back to the bedroom. He'd practically come straight from the shower to open the door and stray rivulets of water made their gradual way down his back from his dripping hair.

"I am prefectly fine I had dinner with my parents," he followed after him and couldn't help but watch how Julius looked a little wet. "You have really filled out since we were kids, you know if you don't mind I can give you a taste of what it feels like being aroused," sat down with his bag down by his feet.

Julius chuckled. "Of course I've filled out. You have too. It's called puberty. Though I'm still technically going through it."

Grabbing another towel, he started drying his hair.

"You can do whatever you want Ara. Isn't that what this is about?" Sitting down beside him, Julius leaned in and kissed the siren.

"You know, I didn't particularly care that first time you said you wouldn't kiss me, and I was pretty surprised when you suddenly did. But I rather like kissing you now."
