hello! this is my first attempt at an rp recruitment thread around here, so i apologize if it's a bit blegh. i will be attempting to update this regularly and keep it spiffy and organized, but i'm lazy and remembering stuff is hard, so we'll see~ i suppose i should start out with the simple yays and nays when it comes to rp'ing with me.

 

GOOD STUFF

✖ "average" characters (i like the manly ones really manly, and the pretty ones really pretty)

✖ bad grammar (despite my apparent distaste for capital letters, i promise that does change when actually writing~)

✖ super slow replies (SORRY I AM NEEDY)

 

now that all that's outta the way... i suppose i should move on to cravings, including pairings and plots~ preferred role for pairings will be in bold (i am willing to do either role for essentially all of them, however), and plots will be marked with 1-5 stars depending on how much i currently want it. (that being said, i'm always open to stuff that isn't on this list, or brainstorming something together~)

PLOTS

1. through the looking glass ★★★☆☆

elements: drug abuse/addiction, homelessness, crime, dark stuff, possibly an unhealthy relationship

essentially an alice in wonderland fan fiction, YC is a manly alice hooked on drugs. living on the streets of new york city, he ends up stumbling down into a pothole while running from the police. instead of plummeting into the sewer, however, he finds himself in a strange yet beautiful world, uncannily similar to the one he visits during his drug trips. between the mad hatter trying to push more drugs on him despite his best efforts to stay clean, and the queen of hearts attempting to seduce him and make him her king, YC isn't sure how to differentiate reality from drug-induced hallucinations anymore, and finds his only serenity in a young, rabbit boy that helps guide him through this twisted wonderland.

 

2. heart in a cage ★★★★★

elements: prison, crime, rape, age differences

heavily inspired (and mildly stolen) from orange is the new black. MC is new to minimum security male prison, and is absolutely terrified. his whole world has been turned around and he feels alone and scared, his vulnerability gaining attention from other inmates and marking him as an easy target. YC, a hardened criminal that is both feared and respected by nearly the entire prison, takes a rather paternal interest in MC, watching and protecting him from a distance as the young prisoner reminds him of his own child. MC soon notices this and begins to trust YC, wanting to spend time with him and befriend him -- though the more time they spend together, the more complicated both of their feelings get.

 

aaaaaaaaaaand hopefully i will be updating with more soon, but i'm beginning to go a bit braindead from typing all of this. :

UPDATE

currently having an extreme craving for some space adventures~ i've been playing mass effect 3 to tide me over while my ps4 controller is broken, and now i desperately need to be a manly space captain in space! think space dad from voltron meets renegade shepard meets malcom reynolds... as for plot, no strict ideas yet.
