smolcat
Name: Prince Harald Age: 18 Height: 5'6" Personality: In short, Harald is an adventurous sort of guy, and he's not exactly what you would expect from a prince. Although he'll act proper when he needs to, the boy is constantly sneaking around the castle grounds, escaping from the palace without being caught, and pulling off all kinds of guises. He'll pose as a commoner, a thief, or even a woman if the occasion begged for it (though he prefers not to talk about that time). And he is almost never caught until he's been terribly out-numbered. For a prince, he's very nimble and light on his feet, and shows many traits and skills that would not be expected from royalty. Anything else about his personality will have to be discovered through the RP History: Harald grew up just like how any member of the royal family did. From his privileged life, he never went without, and grew up with anything he could possibly want at his fingertips. However, he also was taught responsibility at a young age, as well as how a prince should behave. Growing up, Harald was well aware of the duties he would have to carry out, the sacrifices he would have to make, and Harald was obediently willing to live as he was expected to. However, one day while out for a ride, Harald was ambushed and kidnapped by thieves. He had been missing for almost two years before he finally returned home, bloody and injured, but alive. Ever since then, Harald had never been the same. He acted differently, behaving more and more rebelliously, and he seemed a lot less stoic and submissive with his thoughts and opinions. His parents were just grateful that he returned, but some of the council were uneasy about the "new" Harald. However, ever since his return, Harald never backed down from a fight and wasn't afraid to stand his ground when any of the councilmen spoke poorly about him. Still, even three years later, Harald refuses to speak about what occurred when he'd been kidnapped for two years. The outfit was a little too big on him, but that was okay. He was a little on the smaller side for someone his age, anyway. Though it was embarrassing that even the medium-sized outfit hung a little taller on his form than it was supposed to. But at least the tunic wasn't bagging down to his knees, so it wasn't painfully obvious. He wore armored boots that went up to the knee, and a tunic of chain mail. He had gauntlets and a helmet upon his head that had a visor, obscuring his face from all prying eyes. He would be completely unrecognizable with such a good disguise. He was almost proud. A sword hung at his hip, and his beloved cloak wasn't anywhere to be seen. But of course it wouldn't be. This was no longer Prince Harald, he was now Leo. Leo Adaharld. Yeah. That sounded good. He liked that name much more, anyway. The young man, who was hardly eighteen years of age, slipped out of the guard barracks where he'd snatched the spare armor, and headed out to the knight's courtyard where a particular knight was to soon be leaving for a mission. Why was the prince doing this? Well, he had countless reasons. Reasons he didn't feel he had to explain, and nobody could stop him if nobody knew, right? Of course not. Nobody knew that Leo was Harald, so there would be no problem. Approaching the familiar knight, the boy tapped his arm before he then stood upright. "Sir!" he exclaimed, "I'm here to assist you on your quest! It's bandits, right?" Yeah. He was going to take care of a band of ruffians causing trouble at the border. At least, that's what Harald thought the mission was. He could have been mistaken, but it didn't matter to him. This man, this knight, was someone that Prince Harald was already somewhat familiar with. In a sense, they were almost friends. At least, as friendly as a knight and prince could get. It wasn't exactly a formal relationship, but the young prince enjoyed spending time around the other knight, whether he paid the boy any mind or not. They didn't exactly "bond" or anything, but Harald looked up to him in a way, and rather enjoyed the knight's presence. More than the presence of the others, anyway. However, he didn't want to be found out, so Harald did what he could to mask his voice and make it sound a little deeper than it actually was. He didn't want the knight to figure out who he was just by the sound of his voice... that would be embarrassing if his plan was foiled so quickly...
