Rei looks at his father and crosses his arms, "how do I know? He basically confirmed himself that he was doing it when I talked to him. You want to know what I did recently? I am basically hiding Akira, my new servant, the sibling guards, Sam and Seth in my room just so they feel protected. And I met up with Gerald today, lack of sleep and looking for Seth, Sam, and Akira. So from what I am experiencing... no one is framing him. Where did you even find this guy anyway..?"

His father looked down. "He was a dear friend of mine when I was prince. What do you think we should do and do you have plans on who you want to take his place?" he asked looking at his son. "Have you thought everything though?"

Rei looks at his father and sighs, rubbing the back of his head, "well.. was he like this when you were the prince? If not.. then why the sudden change and wanting to hurt everyone." He scratches his head, "well.. I don't want the other guards to be in fear for everyday of their lives. I mean.. both Sam and Seth have lost so much sleep because of Gerald." He scratches the back of his head, "well... I want to see if maybe... going to prison will help how he treats others. If he improves after prison.. I will re hire him but if continues being a murdering psycho, I am going to find a replacement."

His father cleared his throat. "No he wasn't I don't know what changed in him and son the guards need a leader so if he is hear or not it still means they need a leader once you thought that threw come back to me and we will see what we can do. If you don't have anyone else in mind then he stays for now and have you ever caught him in the act of this because maybe its not him and someone else who is framing him." his father said

Rei sighs and shakes his head, "personally I think Seth or Sam would make a good leader of the guards since they are not a murderous psycho." He scratches the back of his head, "one thing the guards are taught is not to lie to their superiors... and Sam and Seth are not even the lying types. And I personally saw Gerald dragging another guard so.. if that isn't enough proof i am not sure what is. I know he is your friend, but you can't always stand up for him. He has hurt too many members of the royal guard."

"Pick one Sam of seth I will not get rid of him untill you have another one picked out." His father said looking at him. "You have 5 seconds 5...........4....................3........................"

Rei looks at his father and glares at him before he slowly approaches him, "father... do you NOT UNDERSTAND? Your friend is now psychotic, do you really want someone like in here? We have enough problems with people trying to poison the royal family to kidnap and assassinations. Do you really want someone like that here?" He sighs and shakes his head, "all I got to do.. is pick?" He rubs his chin and closes his eyes, ~it's... not like I am picking favorites. It's just so everyone can live in peace. I don't think I can have everyone stored in my room,~ he thought and rubs the back of his head, taking a deep breath, "..I .. pick Sam," he looks at his father. "But Seth is to be by himself since he will be second in command."

His father clapped his hands. "Good job that is what being king is all about making choices and fast. I will fire him but after that I want you to step up as king and take over." he said smiling. "In fact the sooner the better." What the king was laking to say was that he had become really sick and didn't want anyone to know right away. "We will call a meeting now and I want Sam, seth and Akira to be by you at all times during it. I also want Sam to train Akira and you because I heard that Akira was gonna be your body guard." he said

Rei looks at his father and tilts his head, slowly nods his head, "so.. you were basically testing me?" He perks his head up and blinks, "wait a minute... your gonna make me king.. now?! But are you sure I am even ready for it right now," he sighs as he rubs the back of his head. Rei shakes his head and sighs softly before nodding his head, "... right father," he looks at him, "I will go back to my room," he bows slightly and walks out of the king's room, heading for his.

"That was the test and the final test you have been passed everything I have gave you and this was the last one not about him going crazy and killing people but picking a replacement and fast." he said smiling and kissed his son on the top on the head. "You will be fine I was your age when I took over." he said.

Rei looks at his father and crosses his arms, "if the whole Gerald killing people was part of the test as well... I would have been completely sick," he shakes his head slowly. Looking towards his father, slightly smiles as he had his head down and felt his father kiss his forehead, "well.. I should probably get some sleep... I have to get crown the king tomorrow," he rubs the back of his head as he exits his father's room and walks down the hallway to his room.

"Him killing people that wasn't part of the test at all I had no idea he would go off the deep end." He said looking at him at and smiling. "Tomorrow you will be king and I will remove him as my last duty and you will put who you want up." he said

"Well... good then. That is messed up if that was part of it too," Rei narrows his eyes. He shakes his head, "I think ... he just let the power get to his head," he shrugs his shoulders a bit. He looks at his father and nods his head, tilting his head, "didn't you... say Sam was going to be the next in command since I just pick him?"

"Yes he is and We will do all of this tomorrow at the crowning that will be your first duty I will take mine off and you put your on." he said smiling. "No go I must make preparations for tomorrow."

Rei nods his head as he looks at his father, "yeah it's going to be a big day tomorrow, I should get some sleep or at least relax," he walks away from his father's room and then walks to his room. He places his hand on the scanner and walks into his room, rubbing the back of his head as he walks to his bed, sitting down.

His father walked to his room and coughed up blood.

 

"What's up?" Akira asked. "Did something happen?"

Rei rubs his temples as he looks at Akira, "well, I talked to the king. I had to convince him to release Gerald, an old friend that was with him since he was a prince. Father then ask me who I wanted to take Gerald's place and after I gave him my answer, he thinks I am ready to become king. So.. I am being crown king tomorrow and Gerald is going to be release from the palace.I think father is sick, that is usually when the king is ready to retire or they feel like they are getting too old."

"Thats not good I hope he can get better but I am happy that everything will be taken care of tomorrow." he said looking at him and sighed. "I don't know if I could do it so good luck I will be there with you no matter what Rei." he said smiling. "You will do great and I hope you didn't pick me to take his place I can't." he said

 

Sam looked over and wondered who was gonna take it next but didn't ask as he took care of his brother. "My Prince do you mind if we use your bathroom to take a shower?" Sam asked as he bowed.

Rei nods his head, "yeah.. me too. He seemed like he was acting strange when I was leaving for my room," he rubs the back of his head as he looks at Akira with a smile, "thanks... I need all the luck I can get." He shakes his head, "no.. your a new guard plus servant so you don't have to worry about taking Gerald's place.

 

Rei looks at Sam and nods his head, "uh.. yeah sure, go ahead. After tomorrow, all the guards won't have to fear so much and I won't have to hide every single guard in my room," he laughs a little. He shakes his head, "Gerald... was really a good guard but he let the power get to his head a little too much," he rubs the back of his head.

Akira smiled and looked at him. "Good cause I don't think I could do it." he said

 

 

Sam bowed. "I'm sure who ever will take over will be better and I hope they don't let it get to them, but I will follow you I have sware to protect your family and I will protect you as king I am just sorry you ended up having to hide us in here." he said as he started to walk to the bathroom

"You have... a bit of a different role," Rei laughs a little and rubs the back of his head.

 

Rei looks at Sam and nods his head, "yeah.. hopefully. I am not really sure what happened with Gerald. If he learned how to control it, we wouldn't have to let him go. But.. it is his fault this is happening to him," he shrugs his shoulders. He shakes his head, "it's no problem, if my room was smaller, I would be complaining but my room is pretty good size, I mean, it has a bathroom so, that is how big it is," he laughs a little and lays down on the bed, covering his eyes with his arm.

Akira looked down. "Is that bad. I am happy that the person who destroyed my life will be gone." he whispered.

 

 

 

 

"Yeah thank you my prince is all I can say thank you for protecting us I am just sorry that more guards didn't come to you with this if that was the case I think we could of caught him earlier and not so many would have died Who ever will take over has a big job ahead of them." he said. "And if they stray like he did I will try to get more to come in and tell you as king. I don't want anything like this to happen again." he said as he turned the shower on.

Rei blinks and laughs a little, shaking his head, "nah.. of course it's not bad." He looks at Akira and rubs his head with a smile.

 

Rei looks at Sam and shakes his head, "no.. I am just glad it came to my attention ... before anymore life was wasted. If I wasn't told about this sooner, who knows what would have happened," he rubs the back of his head, sighing since some so many guards lost their lives because of Gerald. He slowly nods his head and heard the water turn on, leaning back in the bed with a sigh, "so.. I did what could," he looks at Akira with a soft smile. "I just.. didn't know it would make me into king the next day," he scratches the back of his head.

He smiled. "You will be a great king." Rei said.

 

Sam was gonna say something but started the shower. "you will be amazing." he said looking at him and sighing as he took off his clothes and got into the shower.

Rei looks at Akira and smiles, leaning up as he kisses Akira's cheek. Looking towards the bathroom as he could hear Sam and smiles, laying back down with a soft sigh and scratches his stomach.
