2032:

10 years after the Japan Ghoul Extermination Project; a japanese government mandate to find and eliminate all existing ghouls in Japan with the help of its international allies, people are starting to realize that ghouls were not as easy to eradicate as they have thought.

 

The entire country had fallen into Marshal Law during the first day of the project when 80% of the ghoul population had come out of hiding and retaliated. Tokyo had been taken despite the concentrated efforts of both the CCG and military to hold it. A fortnight after and Osaka came next.

 

Within 3 years of constant fighting and almost uncountable missions, the ghouls had dug themselves in and claimed those 2 cities as their own. They built walls of tanks and concrete and missile turrets along their borders that prevented any human or enemy ghoul from getting close, while those who had been left or trapped inside were labelled as food and were left alone.. until a ghoul went hungry.

 

7 years went by in a flurry of countless sneak in missions, sabotages, skirmishes, and all but nukes flying, hundreds of ghoul casualties and thousands for humans, and the dawning realization that none would be left on both sides should the fighting continue.

 

For normal citizens and ghouls who opted to stay hidden, those 10 years had been spent in constant fear, under the sound of gunfire and clashing arms, the silence of the dead and the screams of the dying. But life went on despite such tribulations.

 

Talks of peace treaties and rights and equalities began to surface though and perhaps it would be the catalyst for another major upheaval. And what of the being, the last of its race, that the monsters now had called monster then?

Red hair, gold eyes. Natsuo has his hair slicked up with gel to make him have more of a bad boy look. However, should he be out in pouring rain or fall into water, his hair will fall into his face where it use to be and it makes him look younger and more innocent. He also wears clothes that are comfortable by fashionable and his jacket has these perfect tears in the back to give him more of a bad boy look... at least that's how most see it. It's really just so his Kagune doesn't tear his clothes when he uses it.

Natsuo may look like a bad boy or even just a tough Beta but he really isn't like that on the inside. There are cases where he had gotten angry and he will completely turn into a beast but those are so rare many don't believe it actually happens. One might call him a Tsundere at first glance but he is actually very kind inside and out only giving off the appearance of being tough. Still, despite how jumpy he can be, this little Ghoul knows how to fight but will do so apologizing the whole time.

Natsuo was a natural born Ghoul with both parents being ghouls themselves. Because of that, he actually picked up both his parents Kagunes allowing him to have his father's "Claws" if you will and his mother's spider legs - like kagune good for defense or holding onto a victim more than striking. Despite that, Natsuo's kagune isn't all powerful and his spider legs are shorter than his mother's were and the claws go to waste seeing as he hates fighting and doesn't want to kill a human for his next meal. Because of this, his also has a far paler coloring than either parents whose are bright red and dark purple. In a lot of ways, it is this that causes his parents to hate him. Natsuo's parents are strong and fight for Ghoul rights. They are an Alpha an a beta pairing that gave birth to a weak Omega who rather live as a human than to get involved in the war.

 

One time, when Natsuo was around 7 he found a human who had committed suicide out of the stress of not wanting to be killed by a ghoul so figured he would take his own life instead. This was fine by Natsuo because it meant a free meal without pressure. However, as he was eating it, another boy his age, a human, happened to see him. Terrified, Natsuo burst into tears while the other human stared for a while before coming over and patting his shoulder telling him it was alright. Since then, Natsuo had stuck to this boy and tried to live a more human life with his help.

 

Since then, Natsuo had always taken a back seat to things. He stuck around his best friend who couldn't be any more different from him. His friend was a very outgoing and protective person who always looked out for Natsuo all his life. When they turned 16, Natsuo's friend helped with the shy guy's image trying to make him look a little tougher so others would stop picking on him. It was also a way to keep others at bay seeing as Natuso turned out to be an omega. For the most part it worked but a lot of people still knew his personality and continued to pick on him.

 

Some time later, a ghoul attacked his tiny school and killed nearly everyone in it just for the fun of it. Natsuo managed to protect his friend using his Kagune and actually killing the other ghoul. However, his friend suffered a terrible leg injury that many didn't think he'd survive from. Of course, he did and Natsuo was just overjoyed, crying and staying by his side nearly every day. His friend kept trying to tell him it was ok and to stop crying but Natsuo was just happy he survived. Even now, Natsuo visits his friend daily to make sure no one attacks or kills his friend despite his human friend being a lot stronger emotionally than he was. Natsuo tries to act tough but he doesn't want to hurt anyone. Sadly, he is an omega and because of that, he will go into heat and has to stay away from his friend because his family can't always afford suppressant pills and Natsuo can release his kagune without meaning to when he is in heat so he doesn't want to hurt his friend by accident. His friend is a beta though.

☆PSYCHOPATHIC:

When it comes to many people, Ana just doesn't exhibit any type of empathy or remorse; viewing them in the same manner as he would a common vermin or insect. Treats humans and ghouls alike as lesser beings whose only purpose is to amuse or serve him.

 

☆SADISTIC SENSE OF HUMOR:

Ana is probably the only being around who can get a laugh out of every morbid scenario, most especially if said scenario had been caused by him in the first place.

 

☆INQUISITIVE:

Unlike many vampire who thought and believed that they knew everything, Ana is quite the opposite in that he exhibits a very curious mind, not bound by pride or prejudice when it comes to the pursuit of knowledge. Considers himself some sort of 'Mad Bookworm' with how relentless he could be when it came to figuring or learning something, most of the times even to the fatal detriment of everyone else.

 

☆VINDICTIVE:

It takes a lot to enrage a person like Ana and when someone does, he will stop at nothing just to ensure that that person's torment is eternal. As the only living immortal left, he is well versed in keeping grudges for over long centuries.

 

☆PROTECTIVE:

Despite Ana's -many would say- character flaws, he is naturally protective, and somewhat caring -in his own way, when it comes to people that he considers to be 'Okay' in his book. Is also short-tempered when it comes to people or things that he cares about.

 

☆CHILDISH:

This trait of Ana sometimes go hand-in-hand with his psychopathic nature, wherein child-like glee is expressed through mayhem and bloodshed. To those who know him though, this is all the more apparent during times when he discovers something new and/or interesting.

ooks like a typical teenage boy the majority of the time. Usually wears whatever's "trendy" at the time in order to keep up appearances. Nothing about his appearance is consistent accept for his hair, as he uses it to cover the tips of his unusually pointy ears, and a dull and scratched up chain choker he wears around his neck.

 

As he is easily excitable, Esumi has a difficulty with controlling his Kakugan, which makes it a hassle to hide. His sclera switches between white and black arbitrarily all the while his irises stay red--a phenomena that he has no explanation as to why it occurs.

☽ SUPERFICIAL:

To the majority, Esumi appears perfect. He may complain, but he rarely shows anything other than a superficial shell, and it's more obvious than he probably believes it is. But because he seems so perfect, no one seems to want to accept, if they even realize it, that the personality he shows to the world is simply a facade. He may appear as energetic, happy, and gentlemanly, but that's not necessarily the case. He's extremely fake, but this says a lot about who he is. He frequently smiles and grins, although these expressions are rarely genuine.

 

☽ EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE:

Despite being completely superficial, this doesn't mean he lacks emotions. Rather, he completely locks his emotions up, refusing to express himself for who he really is. As such, he's dangerous when he breaks. Though it seems as if he has perfect control over his emotions, as can be seen in the fact that he can act opposite of how he truly feels, underneath Esumi is purely unable to control the way he acts. He can't express who he is in healthy ways, and so he simply does his best to lock it up as it builds and eventually, explodes.

 

☽ MASOCHISTIC:

Fool him once, shame on you. Fool him twice, shame on him. Fool him three times, he'll take a fourth and a fifth serving because he's a masochist. He wants to be hurt because it's the only thing that is familiar to him. He thinks he deserves it, emotionally and physically. Over time, he's grown to like pain.

 

☽ SENSITIVE:

Unbeknownst to the world, Esumi is quite sensitive. Underneath his superficiality is a boy who feels deeply and thinks deeply. Being sensitive has both its pros and cons, but Esumi utilizes this trait in a more negative way. He easily feels threatened, and struggles internally in regards to his perpetual anger towards the world. In addition, he feels emotion tenfold to that of any other. When enraged, his rage is beyond normality. Nevertheless, he can be considerate, cheerful, cooperative, and even optimistic, however rarely.

 

☽ VULNERABLE YET RESILIENT:

He is vulnerable yet resilient. He is soft yet strong. He can bend but not break. He can fumble and stumble every step of the way, but he would never fall apart.

 

☽ LOVING:

When Esumi loves, he loves deeply. Once he has this love, he tries his damnedest to never it go all the while protecting it as if it were porcelain glass. He knows what true love is, and suffers because of that. Loving is something he wants to do well, but it's the thing he does worst in because of how he is. Thus, he pushes people away for their sake as well as for his own, no matter how much it hurts.
