Yukio Takamiya
Hacker Name: Kade Lawrence Code/Alias: 20H398/HAWK Age: 19 Gender: Male Description: Silver hair, cyan green eyes(hidden by high tech specs when he works at night, to maintain his perfect sight), pale skin. Occupation: Hacker. No one bests me in the cyber world." Abilities: Unrivalled hacking skills, basic combat and defence skills. Weapon of choice: Taser Orientation: Homosexual Position: Seke Personality: Incredibly smart. Able to think in critical situations. Speaks only when he needs to. Thinks he's always right, and he often is. Stubborn. Doesn't like following orders. Doesn't give a shit about people around him and does whatever he likes. Likes: Trying out new advance technology, challenges to his intellect, reading, sweets, music and small animals. Dislikes: Annoying individuals (those who disrupts his focus), vegetables, taking public transport. Bio: Kade discovered his affinity with technology at a very young age of 7. At that time, things were good. Rich family, good school, great friends, basically a perfect life. And what's best was that his skill with computers helped him on many occasions, up to the point where he found no problems with a little black hat hacking. Things like screwing up information in the police data base for fun, or digging up stuff to humiliate others. Things went down hill when his parents became involved in a hit-and-run accident when he reached 10 years old. His inheritance was locked until he was old enough to claim it. So off to the orphanage he goes, but his laptop never left him. Kade was determined to find the perpetrator who murdered his parents. And it wasn't difficult at all to find them, hack into the traffic light system and let them meet the same fate his parents did. At that point of time, no one knew that the caretaker of the orphanage was an undercover agent of D.O.A.(Dead Or Alive), an organization funded by the government to bring in gifted children to train as potential agents. He was there on a recruitment mission to observe the children and happened to focus on Kade's actions. After avenging his parents, the caretaker revealed his identity to Kade and offered Kade a life where his abilities could be used to its fullest potential. Others: Has an immense fear of spiders. "You get what you get if you fuck with me." Abilities: Well-versed in many forms of martial arts. Amazing with daggers, pin-point accuracy when throwing them. Weapon of choice: Daggers or any form of short blades. Orientation: Bisexual Position: Seke Personality: Easily angered. Not afraid to hurt someone. Hates practically everyone he meets. Has high chance of getting violent if threatened. But despite all that, he can be soft if he ever finds someone he cares about. Likes: Fighting, training, dangerous situations, challenges and adventures. Dislikes: Weaklings (especially those who are mentally weak), arrogance without anything to back it up, cats (cause they never seem to like him as well). Bio: Nathaniel took up boxing at the age of 6 and mastered it within a year. After which, his parents discovered his athletic nature and talent at martial arts, began to send him for other courses. Arts, like wushu or taekwondo which he conquered easily. Nathaniel enjoyed fighting to the point where he would often cause trouble just to get into fights. Even riling up the local crime syndicate and had to escape when they finally decided to use firearms on him. Nathaniel too a liking to the dagger. Light, small and deadly. Of course, he couldn't carry so many of these around or he'd get into trouble. Until he was scouted by an agent who had been observing him. With the promise that he wouldn't be prosecuted for carrying weapons if he became an agent. Others: Has a scar down his arm from falling off the third floor once. ===================== Opening post: It took three whole days for them to reach the military's operations base and Kade was feeling jetlagged by the time they arrived. Still, it wasn't a good thing for him to show signs of weakness when they just arrived, first impressions were important. Their escort, a large man dressed in military garments was showing the agents around, being as gracious as one could possibly be. After all, agents of D.O.A. were to be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. They were considered to be the country's strongest and most skilled men of various specialties which ordinary folk could compare to. Talented geniuses, scouted from young and trained to become deadly killers. As for Nathaniel, the killer vibes he was giving off practically screamed 'stay away or I'll gut you'. The escort party truly wished they could stay away. He wasn't normally this grumpy, but the jetlag was killing his mood. All he wanted was some rest before they started all this useless tours. Kade though, was unfazed by Nathaniel's mood, having grown accustomed to it by now. He walked beside the man with nonchalance and normalcy. "They seem a little young don't they?" The soldiers around them were whispering quietly, unaware that the agents could hear them clearly. "Are they really as skilled as they claim to be? They look so weak, I bet they are." Kade could feel Nathaniel twitching. No doubt the guy felt light killing someone right now. "Shhh...not too loud or they'll hear you." Oh they could hear them alright. "Cool down a little Nate," Kade whispered. "They're not worth getting angry about. We'll show them their place if we need to." Nathaniel relaxed a little then. "I better get some rest soon before I flip," Nathaniel gritted out as quietly as he possibly could. Kade sighed in response and the escort party started sweating bullets. They would let the two agents rest if only this wasn't an order from the higher ups. They had a schedule to follow and right now, they had to escort the agents around the base. ------------------ Finally, after another long hour, they were escorted to their rooms. It felt pretty good that they were given personal quarters while the other soldiers had to share. The soldiers of higher rank made sure to inform the others to keep their voices down while the agents rested. Being in such close proximity of Nathaniel's killer vibes was more than enough for the day. "Fucking finally," Nathaniel groaned as he collapsed on his bunk. "Shit, why is this so hard? Ah whatever." And he fell asleep immediately despite the hard mattress. As for Kade, he decided to unpack first before resting. Things were going pretty well until he realised his taser and cartridge set was missing. Ah damn, it must have gotten mixed up with his stuff again. Kade went out of his room, walking past Nathaniel's door and knocked on his other colleague's door. "Hey, I think my taser and cartridges got mixed up with your luggage." The residents are uneducated, living their life mainly farming and raising cattle to produce food. They know nothing about albinism, hence when Fen was born, they thought he was a devil's child, and forced his parents to kill him, which they refused. As Fen grew older, he becomes the target of bullying, and it got worse because he is mute. At the age of 5, he almost died when the other children tied him onto a pole in the middle of the playground at noon with scorching sunlight (albino cannot have direct contact with sunlight for too long). His parents, unable to see their child suffers, knocked him unconscious, took him to the city, and left him in front of an orphanage. There he met his soon-to-be only friend, Raphael, and was scouted as an elite D.O.A agent. MEDIC Name: Raphael Karui Nickname: El Code/Alias: 22M392/Light Age: 22 Gender: Male First impression: Mature and kind with an angel's smile. He is quick in his feet, smart, and handsome to boot, making him the object of envy and lust. Personality: Kind but firm. He managed to ran away, but the doctors said that his right eye and arm cannot make it and need to be removed, as well as his almost-not-functioning left eye. So in multiple operations, the doctor took both of his eyes, replaced the left one with a semi robotic eyeball to balance the lost of the right one, and install a new mechanical arm for him. - Due to the operations, he cannot be a spy anymore, and therefore he decided to become a medic. His previous combat training allows him to accompany the agents even to the most dangerous missions, and he quickly rose up to be one of the best D.O.A ever had. - Likes: Fruits, fruit juice, fruit-flavored snacks, reading and playing with animals - Dislikes: Women, alcohol, cigarette BACKGROUND STORY Raphael never knew who his father was. Nor did his mother, who is a stripper and a hostess. What he knew is only that his mother brings different guys to their small apartment every night, and afterwards it's a hell of screams and bed creaks. He never went to school, not that he cared anyway, but he always went outside during the day because his apartment reeks of alcohol and the smell of cigarettes. And suddenly, one evening, when he came home, his mother is not there. Nor are their furniture and his things. The only thing left is his apartment key, which he brought along with him every time he went out. Being a smart boy, the 7 year old El visited the owner's room, claiming that his things were gone. The owner is shocked, fully aware that his mother already let go of their lease, but not that she didn't bring along her own son. Knowing well what she did for a living, the owner saw no future of this boy ever going to be picked up, and hence brought him to an orphanage to be taken care of. Since then, Raphael developed a phobia over women, alcohol, and cigarettes. TRIVIA Raphael and Fen Raphael met Fen in the orphanage when Fen first arrived. Looking at Fen's face, he knew something isn't right, and his easy going personality allows him to talk to Fen easily, figuring out the problem through a piece of paper and some colored crayons. His kindness touched Fen, and he quickly trusted him. Raphael pitied Fen, and hence decided to become Fen's very first friend and obtain his very first smile in return. One day, suddenly a group of guys came to the orphanage -- led by one of their caretaker, conducting multiple test on them. During the test, Fen is basically inseparable from Raphael, refusing to let go of his arm. The agents just let them be when the undercover (caretaker) agent ask them to. Both of them are accepted into D.O.A, and looking at their closeness and contrast, the lead agent decided to give them the name "Light and Shadow". =^._.^= "Starting from today, you are light and shadow. Invisible and inseparable." -------------------- It was getting dark. The tint of orange in the sky started to disappear, engulfed by the night. The plane was quiet, most people were sleeping, some were doing something with their phones, and the others just sat still while listening to music. Not that there are anything to do here anyway. Raphael closed his book, not forgetting to slip the bookmark beforehand, and placed it carefully inside the seat pocket in front of him. He then turned his head to the left to look at the beautiful face currently leaning on his shoulder. A smile emerged from the corners of his lips, fully aware that this is a sight available only for him, and that the other person wouldn't let other people see him in this condition as well; pure, innocent, careless. "BEEP!" "Good evening, agents. This is your pilot speaking," suddenly a stern voice is heard through the cabin speaker. "In 30 minutes we will arrive in our transport base. Wake up your comrades, pack up your things, and as soon as we landed we will move to the jeep. We must be fast if we want to reach the operation base on time. That's all for the notice. Raven signing out." "BEEP!" The plane suddenly became busy. People were talking and packing their things, some people stood up to grab their bags from the overhead compartments, some were queuing in front of the toilet, and some people just panicked for no reason and started to blabber on and on with their friends. Raphael felt a light movement on his left shoulder. It seems that all the noise woke up his friend. The black-haired guy smile and patted his friend on the head. The other look up while rubbing his eyes, still dazed and confused. "We almost arrived, Fen." The other stayed still for a moment, then nodded. "Pack up your things and make sure everything's in your bag. Here," Raphael said again while handing his friend a black backpack. Fen took it lazily, his violet eyes still half closed, not fully awake, and he started to shove his things inside, which consists of only an mp3 player and a pair of earphones. Done, he passed his bag back to Raphael who received it with a chuckle. "I wonder what you can do without me by your side." -------------------- The familiar place gave Raphael a slight chill, followed by a gush of nostalgia. Not a good one for certain. It made him feel dizzy, and now his phantom limb is back. Both his right arm and right eye hurt, and he knew that they shouldn't. They basically not exist. Fen realised that something was wrong when Raphael stopped walking. He looked to the right and watched as his friend clenched both of his fists, trying hard to suppress the pain. The albino man moved his body, facing the other, and hold both of his arms. Raphael looked up and saw Fen giving him a reassuring smile. "You can do this," it's as if he is trying to tell him those words. And the pain subsided. "Hey, you two! Why did you stop?! Keep on moving!" If looks could kill, that soldier would've died over and over again in a span of a second. Fen threw the bald man a deathly glare, followed by a complete silence, making it even more terrifying. Until a chuckle is heard behind Raphael and Fen. Both quickly turned their heads around to spot another bald man, currently throwing them a friendly smile. "Ahh... Lieutenant Reyes," Raphael returned his smile. "It's been a while..." "7 years to be exact. How do you do, Light?" "I have been doing great, Sir. Thank you." "And I guess Shadow still sticks with you," the lieutenant said while smiling at Fen. Fen smiled back and nod his head once. "I will look forward to your comeback, the notorious Light and Shadow. We've been waiting for your return. Come have dinner with the higher-ups tonight. They would be delighted to see you." Raphael threw his gaze at Fen, and so did the other. Should they? But as if they could read each other's mind, Raphael cleared his throat and answered, "We still felt a little bit uncomfortable after the 3-day flight and our head is still spinning because of the jet lag. I guess tonight it would be better for us to take an early rest and we could join you next time." "I see...," Lieutenant Reyes bobbed his head in agreement. "Then I guess the others can wait. I will be waiting for your 'next time'! Hahahahahah!" And off he went, turning his heels while waving his hand and still laughing. Raphael and Fen also realised that their sight-seeing group have also long gone. Maybe the soldier sensed something when he saw the lieutenant and decided to just proceed without them. Raphael stared at Fen who did the same thing to him. Again, it's as if they truly can read each other's mind. "Wanna go to our room?" Fen nodded. -------------------- When other agents get their own private rooms, Raphael and Fen felt more comfortable being with each other all the time. Since they were children, they only have one another. They are practically inseparable. And that's why the base gave them a bigger room to be shared together. "Click!" The door to their room opened and Fen peeked inside. It's dark, but his eyes can see well enough to know that the room is empty and clean, with all their belongings already put in the middle. He rushed to the bed on the left and jumped to its top, hugging the bolster, and fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Raphael couldn't contain his smile, even though he already knew that this would happen the minute he opens the door. His friend might seem scary and cold to others, but little did they know how childish and adorable he truly is. The tall guy closed the door behind him, walked towards the small desk beside his bed, and turn on the bedside lamp on top of it. He didn't want to turn on the main ceiling lamp because he was afraid it would disturb Fen, even though he knew it wouldn't. It's just that feeling of guilt. He then climbed into his bed, putting both of his hand under his head, and closed his eye, starting to feel relaxed. Until... Knock-knock! "Hey, I think my taser and cartridges got mixed up with your luggage." Raphael sighed and opened his eye. Just when he was about to get a good rest. He stood up, walked hurriedly (as to prevent the person knocking again because he could woke Fen up), and open the door as quiet as possible. "Wait here. I will take it for you." He then closed the door again and quietly rustled through his belongings until he found what his friend was looking for. "Here!" He shoved them to the other's hand. "I need to rest. If you need anything else just tell me tomorrow, okay?" And the door is closed once again.
Yukio Takamiya
The moment the door closed, Kade stood outside, somewhat surprised at the hurried response. Then he shrugged and turned, walking the down the hallway back to his room. After unpacking all his stuff, Kade exited his room once more with his laptop and knocked on Nathaniel's room. If one observed carefully, they could tell that Fen and Raphael were rather reclusive, preferring to stick together. Though it's understandable seeing how they had grown up together. But they didn't mingle much with others. Thus, even though the four of them had come together, it seemed more like they had been broken into two groups. Fen with Raphael and Kade with Nathaniel. Kade would have liked them to be more open. But whatever, he didn't really care much if they were reclusive or not, as long as this assignment goes well, they could return home sooner too. The door opened and Nathaniel's irritated self appeared. "Didn't I say that I was going to rest?" He had only slept for about an hour before Kade had woken him. "I needed to speak to you, it's important." Kade replied with a shrug, Nate didn't scare him a single bit at all. Grumbling and muttering curses, Nathaniel turned and walked back into his room, leaving the door opened for Kade to come in. He did so and closed the door behind him. Nathaniel flopped back down on his bunk and Kade sat on the edge of the bed, opening the laptop to the page he left on before getting off the plane. "I got a message signal from HQ on the plane but it wasn't convenient to access it in case it disrupted the air craft's radio communication signals." He explained while keying in a few codes to access the message. Using a software he created himself, Kade converted the signal into text in an instant. One might ask why HQ didn't contact them directly instead of sending a message through signals. They didn't know if their phones had been tapped into or not and individuals would be able to listen in on confidential conversations, plus they couldn't use phones on the plane. But of course, Kade had created a program to counter such spyware, he received the message through sgnals because they were on the plane. "So what did they say?" Nathaniel asked, bending forward to look at the message. 'Dear Agents of D.O.A. , This is an update of the assignment you have received. I wish to warn you that this matter is to remain confidential even among the new comrades that you will soon make in the military base. HQ has received intel from the intelligence team that the enemy has started contacting alliances. But there will be no further changes to the current plans. Do as you've been told to and await further instructions. HAWK, keep in contact, we may need your skills if things get ugly. As for everyone else, stay focused on the objective and always be prepared for the worst. Your Sergeant, Maya. "We'll have to let the other two know then," Nate mused. Kade tapped a few more keys and deleted the message before replying,"They're resting now, maybe tomorrow," Kade replied. This made Nathaiel glare at him,"So it's okay to wake me up but not them?" Kade smiled at that but didn't reply. He closed his laptop and prepared to leave the room. "I'll let you rest then, see you tomorrow." When Kade got back to his room, he quickly changed into night garments and laid down on the uncomfortable military bunk. But he didn't have the chance to notice. All the fatigue weighed down him in that single moment and he fell asleep, now awaking until noon the next day.
ICatNut
=^._.^= Once he closed the door, Raphael went back to rest on top of his bed. It's rather hard, perfectly matches his liking, even though most people would think it's uncomfortable. Since the operations, his spine has been rather affected too, and he need to sleep on a well-balanced bed that can support his weight. And well, it's not like he will stay here for a long time anyway. In fact, he and his comrades will be gone in 2 days, so he has no time to worry about unimportant things, moreover his bed. "This time... It's the exact same place. Exact same enemy. Exact same memories. Will you be okay? And Light... This time we won't tolerate another failure..." A gush of flashback hit Raphael's mind. Those words kept on replaying over and over again for these past few days after he received the phone call from HQ. It's like a never ending loop of a broken cassette played on an old tape player. Endless, not exactly nice, and has a hint of creepiness to it. It makes him shiver. "A poor little orphan who doesn't even know his own father... And another orphan who was thrown away by his own parents... Do you think we can't crush you? Do you think you can outsmart us? Who do you think you are? "Shadow... and Light... Interesting names... One couldn't live without each other right? So what will happen if one of you die?" "I'll tell you Shadow... It's useless to keep on working for the government. You don't know their plan behind recruiting you and your comrades. We are trying to save you. Join us. You and Light will be save with us." "Do you want to see him die? Your only friend? Do you want to save him?" "Shadow... Do you want to know your past?" Suddenly Raphael felt everything is shaking and he opens his eyes. He could feel his whole body sweating profusely and his breaths are uncontrollable. He looked up to see Fen holding both of his shoulders with a worried expression. Smiling, Raphael sat up, let his feet touch the ground, and stared at Fen. "I'm okay, Fen. Thanks for worrying..." Fen grabbed both of Raphael's arms and gave him a menacing look. He knows something is not right. "I'm really okay, Fen. It's just another usual nightmare." Raphael lightly shook off the other man's hand and grabs his phone on the bedside table. The clock shows the number 09:12, almost late for breakfast. And it seems like he accidentally fell asleep last night. "Let's grab some breakfast, Fen. You must be hungry, right? We can take a bath later." Raphael sat up and opened the door, leaving Fen behind inside the room. Fen still looked worried. Raphael has been having this nightmare over and over again since he came back from "the mission". He's sure his best friend is NOT okay. And... he definitely hears his name. Multiple times... And he needs to know why. -------------------- Fen arrived at the dining hall to spot Raphael waiting for him in front of the door. When he sees him, Raphael smiled and waved. He approached Fen and hugged him, not surprising the other at all, since Fen knew he will do it anytime soon. Raphael always did it every time he feels guilty. "I'm sorry for earlier... I was... not in my best mood. I'm sorry for shaking off your hand... I- I'm sorry for everything I had done this morning." Fen smiled and reached Raphael's head, patting it. No worries, El. I'm not mad at you. I just hope that you will tell me what's been bothering you. And oh how he just hope that he can say it to him. "C'mon. Let's get some food before breakfast time ends." Raphael opened the door, letting Fen enters first, and closed the door behind him. The dining hall was buzzing with sounds. People were chatting, plates were clanking, mouths were munching, but all of a sudden, everything stopped. Everyone was staring at the 2 people in front of the door, the famous Light and Shadow. Fen didn't care and just kept walking to the food area. Raphael followed him, trying so hard to ignore the stares that followed them. He hates being the center of attention. Today's breakfast are a bowl of mushroom soup, a sweet cupcake, and a slice of watermelon. Seeing the cupcake, Raphael remembered how he "rudely" shooed Kade off yesterday. He need to properly apologize later on. With that in mind, after he and Fen got a seat on an empty table, he wrapped the cupcake with some tissues to give to the sweets lover later. Yukio Takamiya
Nathaniel had never been a morning person. He hated waking up early, he hated leaving his room and he hated dealing with people. So usually, he would sleep in as late as he could before getting up to do what he had to. This morning was an exception though, everyone had slept early so waking up early was a given, and Nathaniel try as he might, couldn't fall back asleep. When he left his room and got to the dining area, he noticed that Kade wasn't around, only Fen and Raphael could be spotted sticking close to each other as usual. Kade was the only one sleeping in late today, which was unusual. But Nathaniel could understand why. As a hacker, Kade could do many things, and was needed for just as many things. He wasn't the only hacker in D.O.A. , but he was the best and the whole organization depended on him a lot. Seeing how he barely slept on the plane, Nathaniel knew that the guys was exhausted, he was only human after all. After collecting his breakfast, Nathaniel started moving towards Fen and Raphael, glaring at anyone who dared to stare at him for too long. He sat down and placed his food on the table, then looked at the other two. It was a good thing that the other soldiers avoided them because of their background, this way they could talk in private when they wanted to. "Kade brought me a message from Headquarters yesterday. He's still resting now so I'll deliver the message to you guys," Nathaniel whispered softly to Fen and Raphael. "Headquarters received information that the enemy has started contacting alliances. Our plans will remain unchanged but we'll have to be prepared for the worst and stay on guard." ====================== Noon arrived and Kade awoke, bleary eyed , he checked the time and groaned. Just perfect, he overslept and no one woke him up. His stomach grumbled as he got out of bed to freshen up, washing his face and brushing his teeth, changing out of the previous day's clothes into a fresh cotton long-sleeved shirt, black jeans then threw on his jacket and left the room with his laptop. Breakfast was over and it wasn't lunch time yet, just his luck. The base was rather big and Kade hadn't paid attention when the escort party was showing them around. So it was proving to be rather hard while trying to find the other agents. He tried asking around but most of them just stutter out 'no's and scurried away. Were they, the agents that frightening? Kade didn't get what people were so nervous about, around them for. Finally, he gave up and took out his phone to call Nathaniel. "I'm alone. On the training ground, not sure where the other two went. Raphael probably followed Fen to artillery practice or something," Nathaniel said from the other line. "It's fine. I'll head over to where you are," Kade replied and hung up. When he arrived at the training grounds, he saw a few soldiers already on the ground curled up and groaning. It was already expected, but he still shook his head. Nathaniel just didn't know how to hold back.
ICatNut
=^._.^= "Alliance?" Asked Raphael. So now there will be more of them? Fen can sense his friend's sudden worries. He grabbed Raphael's hand tightly, and the other person turned his head to him in a confused manner. "Why, Fen?" Fen shook his head, then, with his other hand, points at Raphael instead. His eyes widen curiously. "Me? No, I'm okay," replied Raphael. But Fen knew it's not the truth. "Ah! Anyway, Nathaniel, can you give this to Kade?" Raphael handed to his friend the tissue-wrapped cupcake. "I... I think I'm a bit rude to him last night. I wanted to apologise in a way, but I don't think I can meet him today. So can you pass this to him and deliver my apology?" -------------------- "Where would you like to go, Fen? Any destination in mind?" The albino guy nodded and grabbed Raphael's wrist, dragging him somewhere. The other just smiled and follows. A few turns here and there and they arrived at the target practice room. Not just normal target practice though, but a sniper's special target practice. The objects are smaller and the hit circle are closer to each other. Sniper, unlike a normal short-ranged gun specialist, must be really precise when hitting their target. Unlike short-ranged combat, where you can hurt people easier, sniper's bullet must be shot in a clean, sharp, exact angle. Clear-cut through the head. One wrong move can expose their position and that's more or less the end of them. Raphael and Fen climbed up the stairs to the top shooting platform. Their mission destination this time will be on a snowy mountain range, which means Fen will most probably be shooting from the higher parts of the location. Raphael on the other hand, will be following Nathaniel as they move into the the enemy's base. Since he is an ex-combat specialist, he will be helpful for Nathaniel. At least that's what the Generals are saying. He knows Nathaniel prefers to work alone, but he can't defy orders. He is needed for his protection. He is a medic after all. Fen quickly ran to the weapon storage at the end of the platform and chose a semi-automatic M107 Barrett. He can use mostly every kind of sniper rifle, but this is one of his favorite since it's lighter and easier to use. Raphael watched as his friend skillfully removed and check the rifle's parts, loaded the magazine with .50 caliber cartridges, and set the weapon on place. Stretching a bit before lying down flat out on the platform -- the usual position for snipers -- Fen pressed a button on the side of "Area 1". A rumbling sound is heard from below, and in a matter of seconds, a target paper is set on place. Fen slipped in his special earplug, only on his right ear which is in direct contact with the rifle. He left the left ear open, a habit which he had been practicing since his early days in the organisation. A soldier must always be wary of his surroundings and keep alert at all times. Blocking both ears will be a death request. "BANG!" Click! "BANG!" Click! "BANG!" Click! Three clean shot to the target. The paper is reeled in by a machine to the top platform where Fen and Raphael is sitting. Fen grabbed the paper on the edge of the platform and return the clip to it's original position. One precise hole on the head of the paper dummy. Three of the bullets pass exactly through the same hole. Raphael smiled and ruffled Fen's hair. "Good job!," he said. "It seems that you haven't lose you skills." Fen smiled proudly and patted his chest a few times. Raphael laughed at that gesture. Suddenly the room's door opened, and someone unfamiliar to the both them enters. A soldier it seems, a "normal" soldier from the army. "Salute! Private Rick reporting! Special Agent Light, Special Agent Shadow, The Generals ordered me to take both of you to the meeting room this instant!" "At ease, soldier," Raphael replied. "Do you know the reason for the sudden call?" "No, Sir!" Raphael turned his head to Fen. Fen simply nodded and start unloading the rifle and return it to the storage. They follow the soldier to the main meeting room, basically one of the most important room in the HQ. Private Rick gave them another salute before leaving the room. "Light and Shadow! It's been a while! How are you doing?" greet General Josh. "Salute! Special Agent Light and Special Agent reporting! We are fine, Sir!" Raphael spoke for both of them. "That's good to hear. Now we are waiting for the other 2 to arrive. At ease!" "Yes, Sir!" Fen glanced at Raphael. Both of them are thinking the same thing. So it's about the mission... Yukio Takamiya
"Here", Nathaniel held out the cupcake that Raphael had given to him earlier that day. "Raphael asked me to give this to you, in apology for whatever happened yesterday." "Yesterday?" Kade raised a brow but took the cupcake nonetheless. It was a good time seeing how he missed breakfast and all, and also because he was fond of sweets. "Ah yes...he didn't really do anything wrong though." Kade understood how close Raphael and Fen were, which was why he wasn't really offended by Raphael's actions towards him in order to not disturb Fen. If anything, it was actually Kade's fault for knocking on their door at the wrong time. Finishing off the last of the cupcake, he threw the tissues that was used to wrap it up into a nearby trash then walked back to Nathaniel. "I assume you've informed them about yesterday's news?" Kade inquired and Nathaniel nodded in response. "It's not really something to be worried about yet since we have our own alliances as well but it's still best to be cautious." As they were speaking, Nathaniel noticed footsteps approaching them and signalled for Kade to stop. They couldn't let confidential information get out after all. "What is it?" Nathaniel asked curtly, his voice ever so cold to people he didn't know. "S-Salute! Private Rock reporting!" It was a soldier. "There's no need for formalities, cut to the chase." Kade said, turning to face the soldier. Yes Sir! The General has ordered me to escort you both to the meeting room!" At this, Kade sighed. "Fucking hate it when they shout. I can hear you just fine!" Nathaniel snapped, glaring at the soldier who flinched. "Well? Hurry up and lead the way then, I don't have all day!" "Y-Yes Sir!" The soldier managed to stutter out and started walking in the direction of the conference room. =============================== Just as they were reaching their destination, a soldier walked past them and saluted before going on his way. And Nathaniel couldn't help but turn back to look. He looked exactly like the person who was escorting them, twins? When they arrived, both Nathaniel and Kade saluted the General. "Salute! Agents Slicer and HAWK reporting!" Nathaniel spoke. "At ease. Nice to see that the both of you are doing well as usual," the General replied. "It has been a while," Nathaniel admitted. Now that the formalities were over, they started talking comfortably with the General. He was their superior in the past and got posted to the military, nevertheless, they got along. "I'm assuming this is important seeing how all of us were called here?" General Josh nodded seriously in response to Nathaniel's question. "It's about the upcoming mission that we're all tense about. Have a seat, this is your mission briefing and you all depart tomorrow." Kade and Nathaniel took their seats, facing the projector screen that had just booted up. The image of a middle aged man came up. "This is Alan Dawn. A powerful figure in the underworld," Josh started. "Recently, we suspected that the enemies knew our political plans, but had no idea who was the one leaking them. Further investigation led us to once again suspect that this man had subordinates amidst our government, selling information to the enemy. The most logical solution would be to find his subordinates amidst us, but that would take too long. The higher ups have given the order to arrest this man instead, so that his subordinates would no longer be able to receive instructions. It'll be easier to find them then." The projector showed them all they needed to know about this man. Where his main operations base was currently residing, which oddly, was located somewhere in the Alps, a snowy mountain range. It wouldn't be easy to find him, Nathaniel realised. The exact location had been marked out by a red dot but they couldn't enter the area by helicopter and risk alerting the suspect. The safest way to go about this was land a few miles away and continue on foot. But the base would obviously be located underground and snow everywhere would make it hard to find. "Any questions?" Josh asked. "I believe we need to know the enemy's numbers before we proceed." Kade stated resolutely.
