EvenEcho
EvenEcho's Character Basic Information Name: Yukimura Ryou Age: 28 Race: Human Occupation: Librarian / Serial Killer Birth date: March 17th Physical Description Height: 6’ 2” Weight: 160 lbs Hair Colour: Black Eye Colour: Steel Grey Appearance: Ryou has cool, calculating eyes and dark hair. His body is lithe and his forearms are muscular but not overly so. He is actually overall rather muscular; toned, one could say. He wears glasses and they frame his sharp face, exaggerate his arched eyebrows and accentuate his single lidded eyes. Wiping the rest of the blood from his hands, Ryou threw the rag to the floor and started to strip off his clothes. They were completely soaked in blood. He usually wasn't so messy, but rage and the urge to destroy became too strong and he had decimated the corpse of his latest victim. Perhaps he was just sick, that's what he heard people say when referring to people like him. To serial killers, to murders, predators... 'sick' he heard the rest of the populous call people like him; 'twisted' was another word he often heard associated with his kind. There was something about the way a thin layer of blood over his skin looked that made him feel so powerful. He was a predator, and he hunted and stalked his prey just before pouncing. Just like that, the gazelle's vision goes black. After a long, warm shower, Ryou makes his way back through his home and picks up the bloody clothes. He burns them in his fireplace and then uses amonia to clean the floors of the blood. He wasn't worried about someone finding his home, but he could never be sure enough. After cleaning, he wandered to his kitchen for a drink before walking into his room. He pulled open his closet and like a shrine, the back wall was covered in pictures of his most current obsession. He absolutely adored this other man, and he was entirely enraptured by his every actions. Ryou didn't stalk, not unless he was going to kill them, but he did observe his current obsession. How he wanted to touch him, and show him what he did before sensually murdering him. He would make sure to keep parts of him, he never wanted to lose him forever, he loved him far too much to ever truly dispose of him. Perhaps he would just eat him. Soon enough sleep overtook Ryou and he dreampt of all of his achievements, mixing his reality with his fiction. He didn't mind the mingling of realities because it only added a whole new dimension to his life, and his dreams, he wanted them to become reality and he often dreamed about his obsession, his precious and dear trophy. He wanted to own him, and in his dreams he did, he owned every inch of him. It was amazing. Ryou woke up. It was another dull day, the outside of his window reflected his eyes as it was grey and murky. He didn't mind it though, but it was definitely going to be cold. Pulling on an outfit of a nice suit, mostly tweed (he honestly looked just like the stereotypical librarian) he added gloves and a nice scarf before leaving his home. He locked the door and went to his small car. He had money to live rather luxurious, but he didn't want to run through the bank like a fickle housewife. The library was opening as he strolled inside. A few students waited outside, using the internet from the library to bring their laptops to life, and then a few whispered among each other, their breathes coming out in puffs of vapor. He walked inside the library and used a keycard to enter the back of the library. He started by looking over the titles that had been returned over the Sunday and over the Saturday after the library had closed. He started to load them up on a cart and before long he was among the people in the library placing books back in their places on the shelves. He loved his job. Yukio Takamiya
Name: Kyousuke Jin Age: 21 Race: Human Occupation: Student/Part-time bartender Birth date: March 17th Height: 5' 9" Weight: 142 lbs Hair colour: Black Eye colour: Heterochromatic eyes. Right, Black. Left, Red. Blind in the left eye. Appearance: Jin possesses pitch black hair and heterochromatic eyes. For some reason, he was born with a left eye that couldn't see. Other than the oddness of his eyes, he has double eyelids, thin brows, straight nose, strong jaw line and impossibly pale, smooth skin. A body of lean build, standing at 5 feet and 9 inches tall. Personality: Minds his own business most of the time. Tend to dislike people getting close to him and crowds. Stubborn at times. Fights to get what he wants. Bio: Jin was born in a rather broken household. His mother had disappeared for as long as he could remember having never seen her before, and his father was unreliable. So at a tender age of 16, he had moved out to live on his own, and worked to support himself. He was born blind in the left eye, a disability he had never been proud of. And the difference of his eye colour intimidated others to stay away from him, not that he was complaining, he liked his peace and quiet. Jin works part time in a bar from evening after school till midnight when he would go home and rest for school the following morning. He follows this standardized routine and hates for it to be disrupted. ======================== Opening post: Wake up, school, work, sleep, wake up..... This was the routine he followed everyday and on the weekends, he would catch up on what he couldn't revise during school days. This was what he had been doing since the day he decided to stop depending on his father. Not just his father, Jin had learned that he couldn't depend on anyone, no one but himself. That was the unfortunate truth. If he relied on someone, things would only end in disappointment. Which was why he liked being alone, and fortunately people left him alone. He'd glare at someone who tried to get close with his dual coloured eyes even if he couldn't see through one, and that did the trick, they stopped trying. Jin pushed open the back door of the bar where the staff usually came to. No one greeted him, and he greeted no one. His colleagues went about their own duties, animated chatters filled the staff area but none were directed to him. This was what he wanted and this was what he got. When he first started working here, everyone gathered around him. But faced with his constant glares and cold responses, they eventually got his drift and started leaving him alone. Everyone got used to ignoring him, only occasionally talking to him if needed. This...was good. Work passed by in a blur as usual. Jin did what he had to, as well as skillfully ignoring those who came to flirt. Some were persistent, others got the drift and left him alone. Once he got used to this environment, everything seemed pretty easy enough. He was completely unaware though, of the killer that had taken an interest in him, believing that everything was going as per usual to his standardized routine. Even as he walked the familiar dark streets back home, Jin enjoyed the usual silence. Tomorrow was Saturday, he could sleep in later than he usually did on school days. Once he got home, Jin took a quick shower then collapsed on the bed without bothering to dry his hair. He didn't wake till the next morning when his alarm rang at 8am. By 9am sharp, he was already queuing outside the library with other students while waiting for the doors to open. Once the doors were opened by the librarian, Jin strolled in, eyes glued to the book in his hand and not paying attention to anywhere else. He chose a seat in a quiet corner and took out his books, and for the next hour, he sat there writing his notes. Some time later, Jin felt his back getting stiff and put down his pen. Coincidentally, he needed a few materials so this was a good opportunity for him to move around. He stood up from his seat taking his valuables but leaving his other stuff so that the seat wouldn't be taken. Moving along the shelves, Jin scanned the titles in the reference section, none seemed to be what he was looking for. He passed by the next shelf, then chanced upon the librarian who opened the door. Jin hadn't noticed him earlier but he seemed quite young. The man was sorting the books like any other librarian, yet something seemed to draw Jin's attention. He didn't think much of it and approached the man. "Excuse me, do you know where I can find books on advanced physics?"
EvenEcho
That voice; Ryou knew that voice very well. He had heard it many times when he waited near the bar, hidden in the obscuring shadows and he heard it more when he fell asleep at night. He looked up and smiled a pleasant and welcoming smile. He stood up. "Sure. You're going to straight down. There will be non-fiction books there. If you look at Z100-Z199, the physics books should be around the 140's area, I think. I could search it for you though if you would like," he actually knew exactly where the advanced physics books were because he himself was interested in physics as a teenager, fresh out of high school, he however didn't care for it as much as he cared for books and the sanctuaries who allowed people to gather the knowledge from texts freely. It was such a wonderful system. "Let me search for them real quick and I'll be right back," he excused himself and went to the computers and looked for the physics books. He went back and informed his secret obsession that he would find the books in the Z140's section of the non-fiction books and he could find more in the Encyclopaedias of Science in the G53C sections of the Reference Books near the back of the library in a corner. "You're welcome," he added softly before continuing on his way to put the books back in their shelves; a book's home. From around the shelves, Ryou was very careful to keep an eye on the man he 'loved' (if he were capable of love as opposed to being possessive and obsessive) through the aisles of books and between empty book spaces, which he filled many of as he placed the books back in their respective places. He stayed around the library all day, making sure to check on Kyousuke every so often in a very discreet manner as to not attract attention or to make himself conspicuous. Soon, Ryou relocated to the front desk to help take care of expired cards and to take payment for overdue books as well as the books that were returned late. Overall, he felt like it was a rather productive day. (Sorry the reply is so short)
Yukio Takamiya
Jin quietly thanked the librarian for his assistance then went to the mentioned section of the library. After skimming through the titles and contents of the books, he finally selected one then returned to his seat. So engrossed in his work was he that he forgot lunch, not looking up from his books even once. His phone vibrated at 6pm and he finally looked up. The bar opened at 7pm which meant that he had to leave now. He had completely forgotten about work and he needed to grab his uniform from home before heading to the bar. Hurriedly, he got up and started to pack his stuff. He wasn't yet done with the book so he took it to the front desk for it to be scanned and he could take it home. He handed the librarian the book and his ID and after it was done, he grabbed the book and rushed out of the library. He managed to reach the bar exactly when his shift started, changing out of casual into his formal white shirt. Throwing on his apron, Jin was just in time for the first client, then work went on as per normal, with the occasional flirts and him ignoring everyone else. After his shift, Jin left through the back door again to go home. He decided to take the shortcut since he was feeling particularly tired tonight. The only difference it had from the normal route was that it consisted of various twist and turns in the dark alleys where more often than not, people he didn't want to meet would lurk. But Jin had learned how to avoid them most of the time, he'll most probably be fine tonight as well. If only he knew how wrong he was... Not long after he had that thought, Jin just had to walk in on a group of teenagers huddling together in the alley. In the dark, Jin's single red eye seemed to glow, making it seem like he was glaring at the group although he was simply looking ahead. "Jesus, that shocked me," one of them gasped with a hand to his chest. The place stank of the smell of cigarettes and something else that Jin couldn't put a finger to. Then he spotted the straws and white powder within them. He hadn't been paying attention to the thug the moment he saw that. "Hey, you deaf or something?" Jin felt himself being shoved against the wall. Sigh... he should have taken the longer route after all. "Who gave a freak like yourself the right to glare at us that way huh?" If there was one thing Jin knew, it was that his left eye had never done hm any good except for keeping people away from him. But there were people like these as well, who hated being challenged, and that was what caused trouble. "Look at that eye, it's totally sick!" The others started to stand up as well. Jin kept silent as they surrounded him. It wouldn't be easy to get out of this one, he'll most probably lose his life here. These teenagers were being influenced by drugs, they wouldn't blink even once at the thought of killing someone. "Hold him there," the first one said, taking out a pocket knife while the others held him down. The thug held the blade dangerously close to his red eye. "Was this the eye that glared at me?" Jin didn't flinch but continued to look at the thug. He didn't back down no matter what situation he was in, Jin was stubborn that way. But this seemed to anger the thug even more. "Seems like you're asking me to gouge out this eye huh." Gouge it out, whatever, he didn't need it. He couldn't see through it and it only seemed to bring him unnecessary trouble. "Yeah go ahead, gouge out this eye," Jin finally spoke, smiling as if to challenge the other even more. That was the last straw, the thug raised the knife and brought it down again, aiming for his eye.
EvenEcho
Ryou had picked the two teenagers from the back and quickly killed them, gently lowering their bodies so that no noise was made. Then he got to the front three that had his precious human under their knife. Nobody was allowed to attack or harm, hurt or do anything else to Jin except him. He was his, he had been his since he had seen him. Ryou used a knife and sliced the throat of the teen to the side before reaching forward and slamming the other teen's head into the brick wall in front of him and next to Jin's head. He put his knife to the last one's throat. "Wrong choise," he practically growled. He grabbed the wrist of the teen with the knife just in time to keep Jin's eye from being gouged out and waited for the punk to drop his knife before he kicked it away from all of them. "Now, you're going to forget all of this," he didn't leave it up to chance and poked him in the next with a syringe filled with harmless but effective hallucinogenic drugs. Once the teen dropped on his own accord and started to hallucinate, he put his knife away. "Are you alright?" he didn't dare touch Jin, no, it wasn't the time to touch him yet. He did however look around him and offered an awkward shrug to Jin. "Did they hurt you?" He didn't want to scare his sweet away yet, but he probably had. Not only had he been following him home, but he had killed four men and left the other one twitching on the floor, drooling and hallucinating pink elephants dancing in the sky. Honestly, Ryou had no idea how to approach this now. He had either ruined his chance completely, or he won him over, but Ryou highly doubted the latter. "I'm sorry you had to see that, I just didn't want you to get hurt," he turned his head, hopefully he was still obscured by enough shadows to not be recognized straight away, but that was wishing for a little too much maybe. Yukio Takamiya
Jin didn't notice the mysterious killer getting rid of the other thugs. His eyes and attention were all focused unblinkingly on the sharp tip of the blade that was approaching his left eye. Briefly he wondered, how painful would it be to have his eye gouged out? Not that he was afraid of course, what was pain compared to what he went through. A person as broken as himself had nothing else to be afraid of. Yes, after they had taken his eye, his life would undoubtedly be next, and Jin was ready to accept that. Suddenly, the thug on the right was attacked. His head slammed against the wall beside Jin's head, blood splattered on his cheek but Jin didn't register that for the left one already had his throat slit. Again, his blood splattered on Jin's clothes, just great. Everything happened so fast and before he knew it, the knife approaching his eye had stopped. A foreign hand had entered his view, tightly gripping the thug's hand till the knife dropped. Then the thug was ripped away from him and the attacker came into view. He injected the thug with something and immediately the guy had dropped to the ground and started twitching about. Jin remained in his position, leaning against the wall for support as his eyes surveyed the now blood littered alley. But surprisingly, he wasn't as terrified as he thought he'd be, just shaken. Most people would have been screaming and running for their lives by now. So...was it his turn now? The killer didn't seem to be moving and just as he thought this, the killer spoke. "Are you alright?" Jin didn't know how to respond to that. The voice sounded familiar but at this point of time, that was at the back of his mind. This man who didn't hesitate to kill five people, why did he stop and not kill off the sixth? His focus zoomed in on the other's face, trying to make out his features in the darkness, but all he could make out was the outline of the man's jaw. As of now, Jin had momentarily forgotten about the bodies that littered the ground. "Did they hurt you?" Jin broke out of his thoughts and replied," they didn't get the chance to -" he paused as if contemplating whether that was fortunate or unfortunate, then decided that he would end his sentence there. He walked forward a few steps and picked up his bag that had fallen earlier, wondering why that voice sounded so familiar, yet he couldn't put a finger to who it belonged to. But no matter, Jin wasn't desperate to know this killer's identity either. "I'm sorry you had to see that, I just didn't want you to get hurt," Jin froze in the midst of getting back up, then slowly straightened again. He gazed at the killer curiously, in his mind a jumble of thoughts. Then finally, he seemed to decide on something. Yes, it must be that, because there was no reason why someone would willingly be concerned about him. Jin's lips lifted into a humorless chuckle as he stared at the killer," I don't need your pity," he replied coldly. Then his gaze once again returns to the bodies that littered the ground, just for measure, then back to the other man. "If anything, you're the one who needs help," he ended, then stalked off. Not onto the main streets where it was safer, but towards his original route within the dark allies. He couldn't exactly walked into the open streets with blood all over his face and clothes after all.
