ZX-MetalMonster
*Goes only by Yasen and is generally a known name among the various gangs, though most no one has any significant interaction with him and the ones who do consider themselves unlucky. *He is a mostly loyal man, having spent most of his 34 years serving the same masters, however he has on a few occasions been bought and can be reasoned with. He has his own well being in mind before that of anyone else. *His allies who have known him from decades also know his nature and powers. The newcomers on the other hand have only rumors to go by and the certainty that he is something other than human. The location looked respectable, if not long outdated. Officially it functioned as a bar but it was common knowledge among the locals that more went on in the spacious back rooms of the building. Shady characters often gathered there for entertainment rather than a just a few drinks and it was all made possible by the owners who were themselves tangled in illegal business. The authorities never involved themselves in what happened there, maybe thanks to handsome bribes or simply because the locations was secluded and the occasional noise never bothered anyone. Regardless, the trait made the place ideal the various gangs situated in the city had a reason to gather. Yasen had already briefly strolled through the entire building, curious at what was hidden throughout it's rooms but had otherwise spent the day in the vicinity, asleep and had kept to his reputation of being absent while there was nothing impressive to observe. Now late in the evening he finally appeared in anticipation of the fight that would bring enough relevant men to one place to make things interesting. Careful not to attract unwanted attention, he browsed the room for only a moment upon stepping inside and tried to take note of everyone there before heading to a couple of allies. He hoped his scanning the room would be interpreted as him searching for familiar faces and company and not what it really was, an attempt at extracting information from the event right off the bat. His stance and appearance worked well to make him seem harmless, having just woken up he seemed disheveled and groggy, too unfocused to be up to anything. The two men he'd chosen to linger beside acknowledged his approach with a nod but were too preoccupied with an ongoing conversation to spare him any more pleasantries. He seated himself beside them non the less and for a short moment monitored their exchange, a bit concerned the two had forgotten themselves and had brought up something sensitive in a place crowded with enemies. Luckily, this didn't seem to be the case and so Yasen's attention gradually shifted to other voices that filled the room. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Haraku
Name: Hyun-Ki Nickname: Ki, or Hyun-dono(mostly meant as a joke) Age: 18 Looks: Bio: Very little is known about him but he is a new recruit to the Yakuza Gang. His accent is thick and he's as fresh as they get. "Oi here comes Hyun-dono." The eldest of the group teased and when said person was near they began to lightly nudge at him and give him noogies. The little uproar of the group over the newcomer who had made his first appearance may have been the loudest event at the little function. Hyun-Ki rolled his red eyes, a deep scarlet so gallant and powerful but with dark intentions hidden so far beneath. Though somehow as clear as day all the same. As they cheered and made their little quips at him Hyun-Ki thought back to all of the video calls and data transfers that went on between them not too long ago. he bit his lip when one of the taller members yelled a bit too loud for his liking. Surprisingly enough the noise hadn't caught any negative attention. There was a lot of looks of interest however. Hyun-Ki took note of that and allowed his gang leader to escort him over to the showdown area. They walked past a large throne like chair with scuff marks, scratches and chunks missing out of the sides of the either wooden or dark plastic parts. The leader let him go so he could sit down and give out instructions. The commotion from them died so they could listen to Ellu. Their leader who was just a step down from the one who ran everything business wise. "So first up are freshman matches as you all know and Hyun-dono is currently our freshest freshman yeah?" The Older folks gave each other wide grins and gave broad "Yeah"'s in response. "Alright then. After I go sign him and the rest of us in we're gonna..." Hyun-Ki listened intently but he noticed that the leaders words weren't reaching him anymore. He chuckled quietly to himself. 'Heh looks like I'm zoned out again.' There was nothing but blank noise as he found himself staring at the stars in space. He turned himself around to see more stars. He was merely floating out in space, among the stars. 'This is kinda nice.' He thought with a half-smile appearing. His hood was up now and he felt at peace. That was until he felt a rough pat on his back that both knocked the wind out of him and forced him to choke on his own saliva. The men roared with laughter from how 'frail' he was. It was then that he noticed that there was a buff man across the little fighting area from him. Not only that but other gangs were surrounding them and grinning, making bids and other activities of that kind. "Huh?" He questioned with a blank look. His answer was received by the announcements that went off from the overhead speaker secured over the area. "Welcome back to Throwdown Showdowns. You already know the drill yeah?" Came the raspy sleazy voice over the mic. "Today is Friday so you know what that means am I right?!" The gangs roared in response which was just what the man over the mic was looking for. "Hell yeah! Freshman Fellatio- what the hell man! Stop writing over my scripts!" The voice had moved away from the mic for the last part but it was all still heard. "Ignore that. My mates are a bunch of bitch ass cunts. Anyway it's Freshman Brawl night! Which means Freshman first and uppers go on after! Tonight our first match is about as fresh as freshman can get! Please welcome the newest recruit to the Yakuza gang- making his first appearance TODAY! Hyun-Ki! Aka Ki!" There were snickers, claps and chatter of excitement. "And on the other side is- that's not a freshman...but oh well! Seems tonight we're doing a mix-up! hold onto your knives folks! Senior Mitsuo! Don't know why they were assigned to fight each other but hey it's something we have yet to see!" Hyun-Ki turned around only to see his leader scolding one of the lower members. Maybe they were Sophomore class. Perhaps the leader had sent them to sign him up and they either messed up or were trying to sabotage him. Hyun-Ki shrugged. Didn't really matter to him either way. "Heh I don't mind taking out a little punk! Don't think I'll go easy on you newbie!" Mitsuo roared, spit flying out of his mouth. Ki-Hyun furrowed his eyebrows still standing at an angle on the little arena area. He took off his hood, slipped off his hoodie and tied it around his waist. "Oi! Didn't you hear me?!" Mitsuo barked out which only earned him a dull look from the younger boy. "An attitude like that is what's gonna get you beat hard!" Mitsuo continued. It didn't get a reaction from the red eyed boy though. "Silent huh? I'll beat yer ass so much you'll be screaming like never before punk!" Flames swirled around the bigger man, traveling up his body in spiral paths until they remained like springs of fire around his arms and torso, two flames flickering and shining brightly in the palm of his hands. "Come get some!" He provoked with a knowing grin. Expecting Hyun-ki to lash out and run at him but his smirk fell into a stupefied expression when Hyun-ki yawned. The flaming mans face turned red in irritation. "Alright fine! I'll come to you!" With his fire enhanced fists Mitsuo lunged forward with a force so strong a heavy wind had pushed right in front of him nearly pushing the crowd on that side back. Hyun-ki had stepped out of the way so casually he hadn't even turned his body to face his attacker. Only his head with a dull expression still on his face. His eyes almost looked to be glaring down at the slightly bent over man but no one could be certain. He went for a left side jab but was dodged yet again. They kept up this game until Mitsuo had gotten fed up. "STOP RUNNING AWAY LIKE A PUSSY AND FIGHT!" Mitsuo bellowed. Hyun-Ki sighed and got into a strange fighting position. His legs were spread, both feet planted flat on the ground and fists barely up. It was like a sad attempt at a backwards boxing position. He let out a soft sigh when he heard some of the murmurs that mostly consisted of "Why isn't he fighting back." He didn't answer aloud but it came out as a whisper past his lips. " Because when I fight..." The larger man came lunging at him again, fiery hand flying at him. "Someone gets hurt." He flipped over it, the fiery hand lost it's flame. In the midst of Mitsuo's confusion a black flame formed around Hyun-Ki's leg as he flipped, twisting his body to prepare his first and final attack. "Soul crusher." He whispered and nearly as soon as his leg made contact, Mitsuo went crashing to the ground, making a Mitsuo sized crater in the ground. Mitsuo's flames were extinguished by exhaustion and the flame around Hyun-Ki's leg soon followed. He crouched next to his defeated foe. "Thanks for the fire...it was pretty warm." The black haired young man made his way over to his gang while it was still silent but in mere seconds they were shaking him, screaming in his ear and congratulating him ten times over. "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! THAT MAY BE THE QUICKEST MATCH WE'VE EVER WITNESSED! I couldn't keep up with anything!" The whole room was filled with loud roars of confusion, excitement and everything in between.
ZX-MetalMonster
With more than a dozen men present in the room, Yasen had trouble making out coherent speech and had to fill in blanks in the partial statements he overheard. However his attention appeared to be trained on his acquaintances who still went on about trivial things. His eyes drifted from one to the other periodically and even the two men were convinced he was invested in their dispute, though they assumed he was not yet fully awake and therefor quiet and sluggish. A few minutes passed before Yasen's patience and diligence paid off and he was rewarded with a group of men who knew nothing about subtlety and had no sense of an appropriate time and place for exchanging sensitive information. The lot seated themselves close enough for him to be able to comfortably follow their conversation and he used the opportunity to it's fullest, committing every revealed secret to memory. An eruption of voices and someones loud bark alerted the loose lipped men however and put an end to Yasen's profit, causing him to aim a vicious glare at the source of the noise. The commotion was brief but considerable, prompting even his two allies to grow quiet and spare a glance at the loud men, knowing that at an event like this, any amount of trouble could escalate to a fight that would concern entire gangs. There was no returning to their own business, the uproar had knocked some sense into the group Yasen had been monitoring, causing them to up and leave the room. His pair of acquaintances seemed to finally put their dispute to rest as well and with a few words between them all three agreed to move and grab some drinks. Even with what he'd already gathered and after the interruption, Yasen wasn't willing to put a rest to his eavesdropping and spend the rest of the night lazily watching the battles. It didn't slip by him that a scrawny young man, the one who'd been at the heart of the short disorder, was now on his way to another room along with a gang leader. It was the later that Yasen was interested in keeping an eye on and once he'd come to a stop and was not in plain sight he subtly clasped his hands together. When he undid the hold a pair of black moths were revealed on both his palms, they were barely visible while resting on his hands as his skin, all the way up to his shoulders, was covered in the same dark color as their wings. The insects took flight one after the other and followed the men into another room. Watching the rivaling gang with the aid of the moths, Yasen knew when it was about time for the match to take place but that was unfortunately about the only information he could gather from what he'd seen. Along with his company, who were steadily growing drunk, he found a spot by the wall where he could lean back and observe the fight, though he expected little from it, considering the novice who would be competing. Yasen's attention was caught however when the announcer revealed the odd choice of opponent they'd made for the newcomer. His expression gave little evidence that he cared for the turn of events but he'd only now felt the match would be worth watching. the same as most of the audience, he had no faith in the young man and expected him to loose badly to the larger and more experienced man. Along with everyone present, he was stunned at what happened in stead. While a cacophony of sound roared around him, Yasen was silent and watched with a blank face, unsure if to direct his eyes at the defeated man to study how badly he'd been hurt and or to in stead observe the scrawny boy who had somehow done all of that damage. Neither were allies and the knowledge that whatever power had just been used could be employed to hurt him and his comrades gave a sense of urgency. Though still undecided on what action to take, but knowing his superiors would press him to gather intelligence on the new threat, Yasen slipped through the crowd to come closer to both of the fighters. Haraku
As he was shook and when he was certain his ear drums were bleeding from all of the screaming he plugged his ears. His eyes averted to their great leader but should they really have been that surprised? They shouldn't have let him in the group if they didn't think he could hold his own. "So what happens next?" He yelled over the noise of the crowd and his group. The message was received and he got his response. "We watch the rest of the matches and bid on who wins and who loses. They'll start collecting the money in a bit so I'd choose wisely. Sometimes" The man chuckled before continuing "the results will surprise you so watch out for those." Hyun-ki nodded in understanding while the crowds noise finally died just a bit. "Now that's what I call a throwdown showdown. Let's see we've got Eli Freshman of the Underworld Gang. Shipped straight from America! And on the other end the lady killer Asuna! From the Scarlet Fist Gang! Let this be a great match!" Hyun-Ki eased his way through his group without anyone really taking notice and backed away from all of the commotion. It was really loud and he wanted to zone out again. He pulled his hood over his black locks, red eyes falling shut as he backed into a wall and quieted himself to concentrate on zoning out. That was harder said than done since it usually just happened but in a few minutes as a punch was thrown over among the crowd from the fight he soon found the key moment he required to reach his desired state. Nothing but stars and space once again. Something he loved and deeply enjoyed like no other. Sometimes he wished he could be an Astronaut just so he could go into space. Really see it for himself and not from what others say. Those pictures could be as fake as the News for all he knew.
ZX-MetalMonster
Taking note of a thick crowd of what to him would be unfriendly men swarming the young man, Yasen decided against approaching the victor and in stead gravitated towards the defeated fighter who still hadn't moved from where he'd fallen. Coming up close to study what kind of damage had been done was also out of the question unless he wanted to alert the thugs who finally came up to drag the unconscious man out of the way so the matches could progress. Even from the edge of the crowd though, Yasen had a good vantage point and searched the motionless body for clues as to what kind of hit it had received but gathered little. It was at this point that his allies staggered their way through the mass of spectators and leaned against either side of him, one draping an arm over his shoulders. Both had managed to get themselves drunk in the short time span and were therefor more friendly and suddenly more enthusiastic about the upcoming fights. Despite how much he disliked it, Yasen saw how the both of them needed a babysitter now in order not to cause any trouble but his curiosity was getting the better of him. In hopes of keeping them preoccupied, he handed the pair a handsome sum of money, knowing well that he might never see it again, and sent them off to bet, instructing them clearly and repeatedly who to bet in favor of. As an afterthought, he caught one of the two by the shirt just as he headed away an warned him sternly to be careful who they talk to and what they say. Evoking his powers would have served Yasen well to navigate the crowd. He was growing tired of pushing and forcing his way though, however he knew he would become the center of attention if he changed form in plain sight. A slight, irked frown was set on his lips by the time he made it to the back of the room where he'd spotted the young man from the previous match and without a greeting he positioned himself close by him. He noticed how the boy seemed lost in thought, or rather spaced out, and rather than press him for a conversation he kept silent and mimicked him in leaning against the wall. Haraku
Punches, kicks, magical blasts were all registered faintly in the back of Hyun-Ki's mind. The vast space he found himself in, filled with bright stars of high luminescence, was soothing. It came as a good distraction as well as a subtle reliever. Was this normal? Hell if he knew. He avoided knowing anything right now. Thinking, anything that would tear him from the place he found value in...he wouldn't allow it. As if his thoughts were superman and where they tried to go was made of lead and kryptonite, Hyun-ki managed significantly well. This came as no surprise since he had been doing it for quite some time. A few moments passed then suddenly his fingers began to tremble. His eyes slowly came open. Without moving his head he searched with his red orbs to see just what it was that had caused the distress signal to ring out physically. A few people had moved about and the fight was still going on but from all that he could see nothing really changed. Just as he prepared to close his eyes again he noticed another hooded figure making their way towards him. Even with the baggy, gray hoodie they wore on he could tell the curves of a woman well. He considered just closing his eyes and pretending he hadn't seen her but it was a bit too late for that and she'd probably call him out on it. He really didn't need that kind of attention right now. Hyun-Ki knew he was still fresh in his gang so he was easy pickings for some people and he could and possibly would get kicked out of his new gang if anything went awry in whatever business this lady had with him. When she pulled off her hood Hyun-Ki's eyes widened slightly and in turn he pulled his own hood down more. Those piercing eyes, that blonde hair. He's seen videos, pictures, heard stories of this girl. They say she's akin to an alien from another planet or something like that. Legendary daughter of a queen of Dys or something. Perhaps something about an Eliza? He couldn't quite remember but one thing he knew for sure was- this scary looking girl used to be part of a police force or something close to it. The details of her outfit still showed it. She was a rutheless killer and it all got her in big trouble but; some admirers got her out and made her their leader. Leader of the Blood Leaf Gang. Their leader was the very woman walking up to him. Belladonna. Those cold, snow white eyes were trained on him but he did his best not to look into them. With the way they tended to glow he had no intention of staring at them. It could be part of an elaborate scheme and in the end she could have some sort of hypnosis in her eyes. Fortunately he had something his friend would call back in his home country, a T.H.O.T repeller. "I saw your match out there~." She began in a feathery tone that seemed to have just a slight undertone of deviousness, or was that mischief? What was the difference? Yet even still as he wasn't looking directy at them. He could've sworn he saw malice in those frightening eyes. 'And I thought father was bad...' He stopped leaning on the wall and met her a quarter of the way there. His response was short but effective. "You are dismissed." Before she could quirk an eyebrow or even question him, her irises dilated and she began walking far away from him. He leaned back against the wall, slightly closer to another individual that he hadn't really paid any mind to and eased himself back into his calmed state. The zoned out frame of mind.
