Julien tilted his head for a moment when he heard Yukie speaking. But it was the question that had been asked that brought tears to his eyes. Lowering his gaze to his hands. "Yes... he was actually the only one in my life at the time that actually cared for me, without some twisted intent." He whispered softly. But realizing what he had said, that could very well be taken wrong. His ears lowered and his gaze darted to Yukie.

 

Shaking his head. "Please... dont think that I believe you or Sana would have any twisted intent to trick me into something that I seriously wouldn't want to do." He tried to explain before Yukie would become distant again. Hoping that the man could at least understand what he was saying.

“I understand, he was kinda like a dad to you right?” Yukie asked resting his chin on his knees as he ate another sweet enjoying the snacks and the fact that even if Sana was busy he could talk to someone. “Sana is nice to me but he had to be trained to care for me...he’s been with me since he was three and then once he hit eighteen I changed him so he wouldn’t age and now he lives with me forever...” Yukie admitted not seein his one might see that Sana lived the cruel fate of forever serving someone so moody.

Julien nodded. "More of a father to me, than my own father ever was." He whispered after a moment. "Its my sad reality." He paused for a moment, his life hadn't been a pretty one. But he always tried to fight against his fate. But shaking the thoughts from his mind, he needed to concentrate on now. Yukie and Sana both didn't seem all that interested in him, not like what his past owners wanted from him. That alone was satisfying to him. To know that at least for now, neither of them would try to force his obedience.

 

Turning his gaze to Yukie when the other spoke up again. "Isn't is... kind of hard on you. Him not aging that is?" he whispered before plucking a candy worm from the bag that he had been eyeing for a bit before beginning to bite off parts.

“No...because if he doesn’t age he gets to live with me forever” Yukie admitted finishing eating his own worm as sana came back in with some already prepared meals and some alcohol for himself the demon deciding he needed a night of drinking. “...your not going to get super drunk right?” Yukie asked a little worried about Sana consuming alcohol in this realm since it was one filled with demons monsters and spirits.

Julien raised a brow. So Yukie believed that if Sana was always around that he wouldn't need anyone else. But before he was able to think more on the topic, his ears picked up on the question, turning his gaze to see Sana coming back inside. Finishing off the half a worm that was partly sticking of his lips at first. Lowering his ears and tilting his head. Wait, if Sana was drinking. Then they wouldnt be able to go out. Of thats what Julien thought.

“Oh hush I will drink after the kittens visit” Sana replied as he set out plates and lots of different types of food the smell somewhat spicy and the house quite warm now with the hot food present. “And I won’t get drunk...just one drink once in awhile won’t hurt me and I’ll promise to keep my hands to myself” he replied to Yukie who at this point looked like a worried mother hen.

Julien raised a brow when Sana spoke up that he wouldn't drink until after the visit. Lowering his ears a little. He didn't want to keep them from waiting to long. But smelling the food, he curled himself up a bit. Feeling his stomach somersault on its own. He just had to know what the old man used. Because he had to eat at some point.

“Yukie stay and eat while I take Julien to his visit and if you stay in the house I’ll bring you back something sweet and yummy” Sana replied as he offered a jacket to the kitten ready to head out for his visit.

It was the jacket being held out to him, that had Julien's gaze lifting. His fingers clinching lightly to his stomach in protest of the thought of food. But he let his finger relax after a short moment only to take a hold of the jacket and pulled it on.

 

Lowering his ears for a short moment to look to Yukie before being led outside. But his thoughts soon returned to the old man. The kitten had no choice but to meet with the man. Otherwise he would very well not be able to eat very well. "Nh... Sana." He murmured softly. "I... I am not sure where exactly he would be."

 

Hoping that Sana would know where about the old man would be located.

 

Said old man, named Itoshi, was where he normally was. Despite being dead, he could rarely be found where his body laid. Instead, he was more known to take a simi realistic form. Not exactly a form most of expect, having the ability to choose which way they wanted to look in some sorts. But he was most comfortable in his human aspect despite the bit of a belly on him. Not that Julien seemed to complain about that. Actually back when he had been alive, Julien was found curled up to him, and using said belly as a living pillow. Fishing was a favorite past time, even back then when he had been alive. Old habits were hard to break, even if one was dead.

 

Itoshi took up most of his time on the banks of the nearby streams. Just letting time tick by, despite the time itself seeming to be at a standstill in this world.

(Since it’s been awhile since one of my fave rps has been active I will admit I might not remember everything my quick skimming of reading past posts puts them in a love triangle I belive and If im correct my characters are just Sana and yukie if I’m wrong please feel free to correct me! )

 

“Don’t worry I took some precautions and send out a blood hound to find him he’s out fishing” sana admitted as the man lit a cigarette and smoked looking up at the sky. “Yukie is happy for you, please make sure to tell him how everything went when we get home...I know he hates being kept inside and alone” sana admitted as the older demon gently took his kittens hand and lead him down the streets and eventually to itoshi.

(Yea, i know its been a while. But you did bump the topic quite a bit. As for your characters, yes Sana, Yukie and then there was Amye. Apparently a lot of clones/twins/so on)

 

Julien's ears twitched at the explanation. "Why... would he be happy for me?" He asked quietly. But he soon let that question become silent when he was being led around to find the old man.

 

Itoshi was content, just lounging by the bank. No worry or even real interest in catching anything, it was just the silent surroundings that seemed to be the man's enjoyment lately. Only stirring the moment that something had come upon him, letting his old but wise looking eyes turn towards the creature. Nothing surprised him anymore, not in this place. So either it was there for a purpose or it just wanted the peace and quiet as well.

 

Itoshi turned back to the stream, watching the float from his line, just floating along the light current it was trapped in. A small bag by his side filled with various items, from fishing supplies to various snacks and candies. There was one in particular that he continued to keep with himself. One that he used on Julien frequently when the kitten was unable to keep food down. Clearly there was no worry in the world for Itoshi anymore. No longer being held down by anything of importance... even if his mind did wander back and wonder how things have gone.

 

Julien was getting antsy the longer the walk went on. Lowering his ears as his nervous gaze darted around, wondering if they were anywhere closer to finding where the man was at. Just a bit further, when Itoshi's back came into view. The kitten stilled in his tracks, clinching his hand to Sana's arm lightly. Maybe it was from shock, or maybe even fear of having been forgotten that was running through Julien's body. No one could really tell just by looking at him. But Julien couldn't get his body to move, and that was a bit worrisome.

Okay ^3^ and I’m use to others not getting on often hence the bumps this way I know if the person quits on me so I can lean up my threads. I might just not use Ayme though and make him a ghost that wanders the house because I’m starting to like just doing sana and yukie as characters so hopefully you don’t mind the change.)

 

“...I should warn you...sometimes people don’t remember those from their time of living, yukies mother doesn’t remember him nor does his twin when he’s in this world so there’s a chance he might not know you or recognize you” sana whispered gently his hand rubbing the kittens hand in a slight reassuring way.

Julien's ears lowered even more at Sana's words. Tears welling up in his eyes at the thought of having been forgotten. But... if Itoshi didn't remember him? How was he going to be able to find out what the old man used on him. A strangled whimper left his lips, only to have his shoulders tremble at the thought. "Sana... he... if he doesnt. What am I going to do? I wont be able to keep anything down." He whimpered softly.

 

Itoshi had reached into his bag for only a short second before his own ears picked up the faint noise that traveled to him. "Hm?" He raised a thin brow at the commotion that had cut through the silence of the place. It took only a short moment before he placed the whimper he had heard. Rather surprised to be hearing that whimpering voice in this place.

 

Itoshi turned his gaze over to the two. Watching as the black ears trembled on Julien's head, but his gaze also traveled to Sana. He took another moment before standing from his resting place, dusting off the invisible dirt out of old habit. It was only a short moment before Itoshi was seen walking over to them.

 

Julien's fingers tightened on Sana's arm with another soft whimper leaving his lips. Watching as Itoshi made his way over to them.

 

Itoshi stopped only a little distance away from them, nodding to Sana for a moment. "As I suspected, that hound was sent to find me." He said after a moment. "And for good reason it looks like." He tilted his head just slightly before kneeling to the ground. Letting his gaze fall to Julien. "It doesn't look like they treated you very well since that day." He let his voice soften.

 

Julien tensed only to shake his head hard at Itoshi's words. "No... Not true. Before Sana and Yukie... yes. But dont be mean to Sana or Yukie." He whimpered softly. "They... haven't done anything except tried to help me. One reason why Im here right now." He tried to explain.

 

Itoshi raised a brow and held out his hand, holding a piece of milk candy for Julien. "I suspect this is what you are wanting to know?" He asked lightly. He turned his gaze back to Sana. "Let me guess... he can't keep much, if anything down lately?" He asked.

 

Julien's ears perked up only to let his fingers relax and drop from Sana's arm. Taking the timid steps closer only to grab the candy from Itoshi's hand.

 

Itoshi nodded, and stood from his spot. Placing a gentle hand on top of Julien's head, gently rubbing at the base of one of the kittens ears. "Milk candy" He spoke to Sana. "It was the only thing that I could find back then that soothed his stomach enough so that he could eat a meal. The milk itself coats his stomach so it wont become irritated by food." He tried to explain.

 

Before Julien could even process anything else, he had already taken the candy into his mouth. A soft purr leaving him as he leaned into the gentle rubbing. "You... didnt forget."

 

Itoshi raised a brow at the comment. "Of course I didn't forget, Kitten." He chuckled softly. "You were one of the joys in my life, and that doesnt change in death. Im just surprised to see you here of all places."

“I’m here on my masters request...he sent out the hound to find you though I’m glad it did...he’s been very worried about his new friend.” Sana admitted as he watched the kitten leave his side and take the candy from him. He was rather amused by the way the two interacted seeing julien let down his guard around this man was a rare treat and a good chance for sana to study how the kitten liked to be interacted with. “My master wanted me to give you an invitation to dinner at his shrine...he wants to meet the person his...you could say partner, holds so dear” the man added a beautifully wrapped envelope being held out to itoshi. The item glistening a beautiful silver the envelope inside holding a charm allowing the man to come visit julien at yukies temple anytime he liked.

Itoshi raised a brow at the invitation being handed out to him. Taking a hold of the envelope, letting his tired gaze fall to it for a moment. But it was Julien's nuzzling that brought his attention back to the kitten. Letting a soft chuckle leave himself. "I can see that Kitten does act a bit... different than I remember." He said after a moment. "Normally he would of jumped me by now." He paused for a moment. "Then again, he wouldn't of been no where near as frightened either." He had pushed that thought aside for the fact that they were in the spirit world after all. Some creatures here could terrify most.

 

"Tho, I suppose being gone for so long. People do change." Itoshi mused for a moment. "Im sure he will warm up to... your master." He nodded after a moment. "Just a warning, dont push him. The harder you push at him, the more he is going to back away. If I recall correctly, the one time I pushed him to hard to do something. He refused to come out of the broom closet." He laughed softly.

 

Julien huffed at the comment. "Told you I dont like baths." He murmured. Lowering his ears a little.

 

Itoshi nodded after a moment. "And I never gave you another one after your little outburst too, now did I? I just washed you off, and told you that if you get to dirty that you would have to have a full bath." He reminded the kitten.

 

Julien let a soft groan leave his lips before returning to Sana.

 

Itoshi felt the tug of a smirk playing at his lips when the kitten fell silent. Letting his gaze turn to Sana. "I would be honered to attend." Just maybe being around, Julien would open up more.

“Mmh he got a bath when he first came with us...our house is santitary for medical reasons” sana explained as he looked at julien. “We should be getting back...it’s not wise to leave yukie alone” sana explained to julien with a soft smile enjoying the fact that julien seemed quite happy. “Come hungry tomorrow night I’ll make sure to have food you can enjoy and some nice wine” sana added the man snapping his fingers as the blood hound came out of the shadows and turned into a bracelet that beautifully wrapped around sana’s wrist.

Itoshi raised a brow at the comment about medical reasons. But it did settle his mind a bit easier knowing that the kitten was being taken care of... or well better than when the boy had been previously after his death. His attention was quickly brought back at the mention of the next night. A slight nod of his head before turning back to Julien. "Now, Kitten. Behave for them, ok? I know you liked to get rough at times."

 

Julien's ears perked up a little at the words only to huff lightly. "Only got rough because you made things difficult at times." He pouted lightly.

 

Itoshi shook his head. "I mean it, Kitten. Im not just talking about being rough, tho I am sure they could handle you." he paused for a moment. "Just... let them see the real you."

 

Julien's ears pinned back instantly with another huff leaving his lips. But it was a pained look in his eyes.

 

Itoshi tilted his head. "Now now, dont give me that look. I know its difficult for you, but I can no longer be there for you when need be." He paused and shook his head. "No, now its their turn to be there for you. Please... as a last request?"

 

Tears welled up in Julien's eyes before dropping his gaze and wrapping his tail around himself again. "How... can you ask me of that? You... you know how long it took for you to drag that out of me." He whimpered softly, before suddenly flinching at the gentle hand to the top of his head.

 

Itoshi lightly scratched at Julien's scalp, trying to calm the boy. "Its ok, Kitten. I know your still attached, but you have to understand that I can no longer protect you. But now, you are under the care of what seems to be very caring owners. Dont let yourself hide away, ok? It's ok to get attached to them too." He tried to get the other to understand.

 

Julien sniffled a little before nodding. "I... I'll try." He murmured softly.

 

Itoshi nodded. "That is all I am asking you to try and do." He said softly before turning back to Sana. "Very well, I will be there."

Sana watched the exchange closely and was surprised to see how the kitten behaved around his old owner. He frowned when itoshi turned to him but made an effort to be polite. “Thank you...” he replied already ready to leave his mind chewing over the stuff he had just learned about his new pet and his younger wards mate making him worry that julien would never grow to need yukie and it would end breaking his heart. He knew he had to take the kitttens feeling and needs into consideration but with the two being compleate opposites it did make his job just slightly harder when it came to taking care of the two.

Itoshi nodded. "Have a good rest of the night." He said with a smile and a wave of his hand before turning back to his fishing when they began to wander off.

 

Julien on the other hand kept his gaze lowered, reaching for Sana's arm lightly before he was being led back to Yukie. "Sana..." He murmured after a moment. "nevermind..." He shook his head. He honestly wasn't to sure what he had been about to ask or even say. His mind going over what Itoshi had told him. He had to try... at the very least to open up to Yukie.

“...yes?” Sana asked looking at julien the male stopping outside of the house. He leaned against the wall and streatched looking slightly less tense. “...don’t force yourself to be close...if you need time I understand and I can control yukie to give you space” he added before opening the door and let himself into the house. He took off his shoes and sighed. “Come in and let’s get you settled down and relaxed...meeting someone you lost must have been hard” he admitted the door opening a little yukie peeking into the room, but was instantly picked up and removed a pretty woman carrying him back to the nest of pillows the geisha coddling yukie a little.

Julien let himself fall silent for a moment longer. "Its... not space." He murmured softly, shaking his head. Actually, space was the last thing he needed. But before he could say anything more about the topic. He stepped inside only to see what was going on inside. Tilting his head, more than just confused on what was going on.

 

Julien had been more than prepared to try and open up to Yukie. But what was happening in the room was more than what he had expected. That and where the hell did this geisha come from? Lowering his ears a little only to stay closer to the door.
