YAOIOTAKU DECIDED TO OPEN A THREAD FOR

PEOPLE WHO LOVE MUSIC AND LOVE TO WRITE

POEMS, OR SIMPLY SONG LYRICS. GIVING THE

CHANCE TO SHOW YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT THE

CURRENT THEME AND IN GENERAL, HOW DO YOU

INTERPRET IT, WE HAVE PICKED A CERTAIN SONG.

BASED ON ITS MELODY, YOU HAVE TO WRITE

DOWN EITHER A POEM OR A SONG LYRICS. OF

COURSE, IT'S UP TO YOU HOW YOU NAME IT,

AS LONG AS YOU MENTION ONCE "SKYFALL"

IN THE CONTENT.

LISTEN

 

 

When I look upon the stars

up there in the sky

I feel a beat start to rise

from within myself.

 

I close my eyes and hear the song

coming from my heart.

Those are musical notes

that brighten my horizon.

 

The tune inspired by the skyfall

never lets you down.

Come on now, you can try!

Can you close your eyes?

 

I feel my heart singing the song

even when it's stormy,

then everything is quiet

for a little while.

Sunrise

 

She left the world spinning,

almost like falling asleep,

I fell in love with her slow,

then all at once,

When she left, the light felt cold

 

Her hair was flaxen beauty,

When she smiled, brightness spread,

Through the moor, into the valley,

Grown warmth and beauty bloomed,

In her wake

 

Indescribable craving followed her, a longing,

Yet, she could not stay

The stars had yet to grow,

Singing and bathing in the moonlight's shadow,

Skyfall

 

THe sun would fall, but she would come again,

Her world, her glow, her only chance,

Had been born into life

The sun's world was fresh, new,

Like everything, she would wait for morning

 

A pattern of silver soothed the warm,

Twisting, turning twilight,

Sung fresh in the stars

Brilliance shown in her wake, for she woke,

And the sun would only wait

Just two days ago, a graduating senior from the same college as me committed suicide. He was a Dean's lister and he had no enemies. I don't personally know him but some of my classmates do.

 

I dedicate this piece to him, and to anyone who is nearing the edge. Pain may be beautiful, but only when you are not dealing with it alone. You life is not yours alone anymore. When you make relationships, we all share a part of each other. When someone goes, the people left behind feel the pain. Please, just don't give up.

 

 

Rest now.

 

Today felt different, and the moment

I lifted my head,

I realized you were gone.

 

How long have you suffered,

caging your own heart and wiping your tears?

If only I held your hand

just a little bit longer, just until

your loneliness thawed away.

 

How could I have not known, not seen?

Countless times you screamed

your pains right to my face,

yet I heard not a single thing.

 

Your smiles have been deceptive all along.

Your little gestures, the scribbles on your notes,

the tangles in your hair.

I saw them all,

and I claimed to be your friend.

 

I thought I understood you.

I really thought I did.

I'm sorry.

So sorry.

 

Your skies fell, and I could not do anything.

Blaming myself is awfully arrogant,

but I cannot help thinking

that if only I looked at you more,

spoke to you more, maybe

you would still be here.

 

You created a hole the day you left,

large and dark and painful.

But if sleep is your reverie,

if escape is your solace,

I can only pray that you have

a good journey ahead of you.
