The room dimly lit, so that most was hidden behind shadows. The owner of the shop had preferred it that way. Just in case anyone came snooping around in the back. When he had been out fishing, He mainly caught small fish to help keep some of the pet's fed. That was until he had managed to pull something up in his net's that he had not expected to see. Half human... with the tail of a fish! He had only heard stories of these kinds of creature, not believing them to be real. It had been the way that Arin's tail glistened in the sunlight and his fin seemed to quiver in shock. Coming to a thought, he wanted this marvellous thing in his store.

And that is where he had ended up later that day. In this small tank, only with one large rock to hide himself away if he so wished to. And there is where he normally stayed. Out of view, only coming out from his hiding place when he was being presented food. The shop owner wasn't a terrible person, but he did have a shop to run.

Arin kept his mouth shut, not even allowing the shop owner to know that he could speak the human's language. He wanted it that way, not wishing to grow to attached to the man. And after a while of learning that he was to be sold off to someone who could take better care of him. Only confirming his hunches of why he was in such a small tank. The man was no wiser about him, thinking him only as another lovely and exotic pet. But it was the years that past by, having only been seen by a few people. Most were scammers that tried to gain the boy out of greed, Not caring about the merman as anything more than some sort of thing to toss aside and kill.

Growing tired and weaker as time went on. The shop owner had noticed that life seemed to be draining from him. This was no place for him, and he couldn't let the poor boy die. Not with the beauty that he displayed.

A hand pressed against the class, tapping a few times. "Dont worry... I will find someone who can take care of you, and give you the freedom you need." The shop owner tried to comfort the poor creature. But tried as he did, more day's seemed to pass by as if there were no one to take him home. That was until one fateful day.

A strangled noise was drawn from him in his sleepy posture. There had been murmurs in the room that had pulled him out of his slumber. But wasn't the shop suposta be closed by now? Arin couldn't remember the shop being open this late at night. His tail had barely been poking out from behind the rock that he had hidden himself away. Twitching just once before he heard a soft tap to the glass of his tank. Drawing him more out of his sleep.

"The poor boy... He has been looking so lethargic lately. I didn't know anyone else who would want him-" He shop owner paused at his own words. "who would take care of him without wanting to kill him." He corrected himself. Tapping on the glass once more. "It's ok... you can come out." He cooed softly.

Arin's body flinched once more at the tapping. The noise echoing around him drew him more awake before he pulled his tail behind the rock. Taking a long moment before he lifted his head up over the top to take a look at what the shop owner wanted from him.

"There you are... I have brought someone that I want you to meet." The shop owner cooed once more. "Would you come out? I think you might find him a bit interesting." He smile warmly towards Arin.

Arin ducked a little more behind the rock, clinching his finger's at the rough surface for a moment before hiding himself away again. That was until he pushed himself out from behind it. The dim light's of the room made his scale's shimmer as he moved. His gaze moved to catch an odd glow within the shadows behind the shop owner.

Name: Alexander Blakely

Race: Vampie

Age: Looks 26

Position: Seme

~~

The vampire pulled the white hair from out of his red eyes realizing that he hadn’t eaten in awhile. His stomach let out a resounding pain as his mind instantly realized this. He was on his way to a business meeting at the moment and had no time to stop for some dinner.

This would later prove problematic as the black car sped off into the night. It wasn’t long before they arrived at a rather elegant building. The outside shown of white marble and inside was even more extravagant. It was the home of a wealthy black market dealer and the seller was more than excited to have Alexander in his household.

He was here about a rather expensive product of something “exotic” and “beautiful” but the seller wouldn’t tell exactly what it was over the phone. This was fine with Alexander for the simple beautiful part intrigued him enough to go out and see it. Something with vampires and beautiful things. If it was a beauty vampires strived to have it.

As he greeted the seller with a curt nod as he was guided to the viewing room. It had been a long time since he had participated in something so illegal yet so exciting. As he walked into a darkly lit room his eyes not worrying to adjust for he was a creature of the night. They settled on a rather clear tank full of water. It was void of anything other than a small rock hiding in the far side of the tank.

How strange, an empty tank?

“What is this…?” he asked but was soon answered by a soft movement in the fish tank and the seller coaxing what seemed to be a fish out from under the rocks.

To his surprise it wasn’t just a fish but a mermaid. His eyes grew wide and he walked closer to the tank. This was something only few were allowed to see in their lifetime. “Who all have you shown him to? He is valuable. I hope you haven’t been showing him off to everyone? Why didn’t you come to me first?”

The questions rolled off his tongue as if they were bullets. His fingers lightly caressed the glass before him. The man was beautiful. The vampire could smell him, hear his heart beat radiating from the tank. Everything about him sang of sweetness and he wanted it all. Soon enough the cost didn’t matter as his beautiful tail caught his eye, “I want him.” He said eagerly as his eyes peered away from the merman.

It was the scales of Arin's tail that glittered along the light that touched them. Swimming the distance to the front of the tank. His bright gaze lifted to watch the men in the room. Finding his curiosity getting the better of him, since he wasn't allowed to be known to most customers. He was only meant for the eyes that would actually appreciate his beauty and rare species.

The shop keeper raised a brow after hearing the man shoot him with questions one after the other. It seemed that the man had taking a liking to what he seen. "No one other than yourself. However, the reason as to why the wait. I had a hard time contacting you for quiet some time." He muttered. But instead his own gaze lifted to the tank.

Arin tilted his head the moment he reached the other side. Placing his hands against the tank as if to try and get a better look at this man that was new to him. His hair swaying in the water behind him. The tail only swaying just enough to keep him from sinking to the bottom of the tank. But it was his curiosity that always managed to get him into trouble. One reason as to why he had gotten caught in the first place.

The poor boy didn't know much about the outside world. Despite having been in this tank for quite some time. He was left to his own devices. Only being given what the shop keeper thought the boy would need since the man didn't know much about merfolk. A soft coo seemed to radiate through the water.

A smile touched the shop keepers lips at the sound. "He seems to like you." He said before hearing the other's words. Nodding, once he understood that this man wanted the poor boy. Who wouldn't?! He had done his best to keep the creature from dying, but his knowledge alone only went so far. "Very well." He said before turning to grab the paperwork.

Arin tilted his head once more when he watched the shop keeper move around the room. Another curious coo left him before he dropped his hands from the siding of the tank. Swimming up to the surface of the top of the tank. His fingers clinched to the opening as he pulled himself up just enough to peer over the side, down at the two men.

A soft chuckle left the shop keepers lips. "I guess he know's he has a new home to go to." He said as he handed over the paperwork to Alexander. "Now, do you have a tank prepared for him? Or at least some sort of transport?" He asked after a moment. "He can't be out of the water for to long. And in his condition, it's for the best that he wears this collar. It will allow him to breath until you can get him into a tank." He said while lifting up the collar that was specially made for the poor boy.

The vampire’s attention did not leave the tank before him. His eyes watched as the merman eyed him trying to decide if he was a proper owner or not. When the soft coo filled the room a gentle smile fell over Alexander’s lips as if it was the most beautiful music to his ears.

It was evident that the man within the tank was interested in the other even popping his head out of the water and peering down at him. Alexander took the paper work and easily filled it out before setting it down on the table. He peered back up at his new investment. “Had you told me what it was you had hiding away for me I would have brought transportation for my new friend.” He reached out taking the collar from the other.

Mermen were masters at deception so it didn’t shock him that this ignorant keeper didn’t realize the man within the tank could most likely turn into a human as well as speak their language. The red eyes shifted and peered up at the boy, “Mind if I wait to take him with me? It will take a while for my men to assemble what needs to be prepared. I have a more lavish “tank” in mind for him than this.” He said with a sincere apology to the keeper.

It wasn’t that the tank he was in wasn’t good enough but he figured that something so exotic and extravagant should have its own backyard to run around in and be apart of. This was nothing like the tank would be at his own home. He had a pool back at his estate that would do fine for the moment but until he could properly construct a home for the merman this would have to do.

“I would like to stay and watch him if you don’t mind. My men shouldn’t be more than a few hours.” He said with a gentle smile to the shopkeeper. “I hope you understand my curiosity. Who wouldn’t want to stick around with something so beautiful before them? I’m glad you came to me first. His existence shouldn’t be brought out into the world lightly.” He said peering back up at the merman.

“He is more valuable than you know…” the words came off like a soft murmur as his eyes followed the boy inside the tank. His eyes didn’t even fall to his tail as much as his face which shown beauty all in itself. Everything about the creature screamed beauty and Alexander wanted it all.

Arin's body pressed against the glass the more that he listened to the two men below. Watching every movement as if their actions fascinated him. Truth be told, He was a lonely creature. Having not gotten much interaction with human's or other being outside of the tank. He wanted to know more about the outside world. But yet, he was limited on what he could do. The only reason he kept his abilities quiet, and his voice hidden. He honestly wasn't sure if he could trust the shop keeper or not.

But this other man. He wasn't to sure if he could trust the other either. So he stayed quiet, only mimicking other sea creature's mannerisms. Even now, just by watching the way the man continued to watch him. Its was becoming more clear that his act wasn't fooling this man. The question rose to his mind... just how much did this man know about his kind?

The shop keeper raised a brow the moment he heard the man's words. Only shurging after a long moment. "I am not aware of his kind to much, other than what you read in books." He said before shaking his head. "I have no right to stop you, Sir. You are the one buying him, I just want to keep him safe and unharmed. If you need time to make arrangements for him, then by all means. Take your time." He said as he moved towards the door. "If you need anything, by all mean's come find me." And with that, he left the room.

A strangled noise left the pale lips of the merman the very moment the door latched shut. Darting his bright gaze down to the man at the bottom. He found his hands leaving the side of the tank and his body slowly sinking down to the sandy bottom. But it was his head that lowered, as if he were watching for some kind of sign. Something to be worried about. Refusing to speak up, at least until he felt that he could use his voice.

He felt his tail hit the sandy bottom before he realized just how far he had sunk. But even then, he wouldn't lift his gaze. To preoccupied by his own thoughts to try and understand this new man before him. It wasn't as if he couldn't hear the other if he did speak up. But it was the fear that he could possibly get killed for his tail that struck at him the hardest.

"Why do you want me?" The words rolled off his tone in a silken tone, almost as if it resembled a siren's song.

The vampire watched the tank as the creature inside slowly sank to the bottom of the tank. It was strange how he hid what he could do but it made sense. In a way the vampire figured he did it to keep himself safe. Most supernatural beings were often treated horribly when found out anyway. He stepped to the tank possibly only an arms length away. He watched the exquisite creature infront of him wondering if he was scared of him.

The voice that rung was soft and almost inaudible as he realized he was speaking to him. "I have no wish to see something of your beauty fall into the hands of someone who will destroy you." his voice was like silk as he peered into the face of his new pet.

"I also do not wish to see that tail of yours strung up. I find it disgusting that people would do such a thing. I'm also a lover of beautiful things. I can assure you that I will take good care of you. You'll have a much bigger tank than this sad thing...though you're a shapeshifter, so this shouldn't be your permanent home anyway." he said pulling a chair closer to the tank so he could relax while watching. "You would rather stay here? In this cage?" he asked his red eyes following the blue scales up to the mans face. He could only imagine what he would look like without it.

The vampire was highly intrigued by the swimming creature finding his looks appealing and yet his voice made everything ten times better. He was motivated to get this creature out of here in order to keep him safe from those that would want to harm him. It was unlike him to want to protect something other than himself but the sweet scent that filled the room made him want to make this kid like him and even trust him so he could taste him. Ravish him with everything he had in order to make him his own.

Arin's ears picked up the man's voice easily enough. The more the other spoke up, the more he was disliking the talk of his value. And it showed in pain that etched across his face. But the more the man explained about what he had planned, it had Arin finding the situation even more unbearable. He would still be caged. Even if with a bit more room.

Arms found their way, wrapping around his stomach. His head lowering more than before with a shake of his head. His hair floating about his frame easily in the water. But it was the earlier words that echoed in his mind. He hadn't shifted in so long, he doubted that he even had the strength now to do so at this time. The man's words of 'pretty' things displeased him greatly. He was not some trophy to put on a pestle.

His gaze darted to the man at that moment. "Even if I despise this cage as you put it. I do not appreciate the thought of being placed in a china cabinet only for your enjoyment." He murmured, narrowing his eyes in the process. "You want something 'pretty' for your collection." he shook his head at his own words. No, even he knew he was more than just some pretty thing for show.

It was one thing to admire something, but to speak to one like him as if he were not a breathing living creature. It hurt him, more than anything else. Turning in spot that he had sunk down to and starting to swim off to the other side of the tank. The part of his tail where he had been injured was discolored in a small slash. "If I were you... I would chose my words more carefully to a creature like me." He murmured after himself.

This only amused the man who stood outside the tank. "A china cabinet? You have me wrong. I will allow you free reign. I'm assuming you can walk on land so the "china cabinet" as you so happily put it would only be a place for when you needed to change back into this exotic form. I myself love beautiful things but you are a creature alot like myself and highly valued amongst those in this world. Humans would die to have something like you in their homes. I am merely saving you from a worse fate than the one I am giving you."

A soft smirk fell over his features. It was apparent that this merman had no idea what he was or what he was capable of doing. "I think if I were you I would chose your words carefully around me. Everything may not be as it seems on the surface." He let a soft sigh fill the room. "Are you injured?" he asked his eyes roaming over his body.

"What happened? The shopkeeper didn't tell me how he caught you? This must be an injury from that altercation no?" his eyes showed a hint of worry but to the creature it would seem nothing more than anger for the ruining of his product. Seemed that the merman was under the impression that everyone wanted to use him for something be it his tail, his beauty, or his extravagence. The vampire could tell that this man was sheltered and only knew one kind of human, that was the kind that wanted to keep him locked away and out of reach of others. In a dark room where he could get no sunlight.

He figured he would love that. Sunlight and a chance to be out and about without feeling chained down. That feeling of absolute freedom that only those without a cage could feel. He wondered if this creature would ever allow him a chance to let him feel that way. The vampire wouldn't mind being so kind enough to give it to him with a small price of course. The blood of another creature like himself was almost more alluring than that of a human. Vampires often don't drink from other vampires but other beings like this one are rather...rare and get the attention needed when they do let vampires drink from them. For now he would simply keep to himself and mind his own for he couldn't think of pushing the little merman too far while he was already so guarded.

Arin had made it halfway across the tank the moment he heard the man's words. But it was the words again that reminded him of how weak he had gotten since he had been placed in this tank. A sad note took place in his eyes. "Human's are greedy creatures, they dont deserve to even know we exsist." He murmured after a moment. "You say that as if you're not human. And expect me to go willingly to whatever you want me to go." He shook his head.

It was the next words that reached his ears that had his arms once again crossing over his stomach. He didn't want to remember that day. The creature's eyes still so vividly glowing, as if it had happened yesterday. It was as if it were a nightmare all over again. But the creature had saved him without another word either. It let him wandering who... or let alone, what had saved him from a terrible fate?

Shaking his head harshly to make the image in his mind disappear. "It was nothing but an accident the first time I was caught, I was set free and still managed to get caught in another next the next night." he whispered. But it was still the fear that clung to his voice, no matter how hard he had tried to hide that part about his past.

"The shop keeper... isn't aware of it. You have been the only one to notice that scar." He whispered. He turned his gaze over his shoulder to take another look to the man. Seeing the other seeming to be boiling with some sort of anger. Why would this man be so anger over something so small? It wasn't as if the scar was that visible, and even so.. it would still get smaller over time.

Alexander chuckled gently and moved his eyes away from the glass. "I speak to you as if I am not human because I'm not." The mans eyes moved back showing a red tint to them. "I'm somethign even older than you. Humans are greedy heartless creatures and I'm sure one would kill to have you mounted on their wall."

He stood and moved across the room to a small bar that stood there. He poured himself a drink listening to the other speak to him. "Oh? So it wasn't from him...well I was just wondering. I assumed you were unharmed and I grew worrisome that you were hurt." His body turned and roamed back to the chair he had been sitting in as he relaxed into it. "I don't care if you want to come with me or not but you will be even if you don't want to. Sadly I have bought you...I hate thinking of you as just an object but right now thats exactly what you are."

"Until you make me feel like I can treat you as something more and less entitled I will do so but as of now I'm affraid you're my property, whether you like it or not." he said gently his eyes moving up to the man in the tank. He was an odd creature as it were but Alexander wasn't lying when he said he was older than the merman. He was one of the oldest beings in existance and he liked it that way. It meant he some how had dominion over all other beings which made him feel slightly better. Humans were just his food source but something like this merman was a real delicacy for not only his tastes but his eyes as well.

Arin stilled at the other's words. Pain once again the dominating feature on his face before turning his gaze away. "Figures..." He murmured after a moment. "Why else would he let you in here?" He shook his head after a moment. But he couldn't keep from hearing the man's next words. It was as if his fate had been sealed without some way of getting out of it.

"And that's what I hate the most. Even if your not one of those people. Your still acting like they do?!" He cried out in frustration. "I am my own being. I have a brain of my own. And you..." He paused to shoot his pain filled gaze to the man. "You deem me an object all because I refuse to fall down at your feet?!"

He shook his head harshly at his own words, but it didn't keep the angry tears from falling from his eyes. Once they began to roll down his cheek, they solidified into pearls. Slowly sinking to the bottom of the tank, settling down into the sand when they reached that far. It was a heartbreaking scene, and if he should chose to play the part that his kind was known for. He could of made this worse.

But this was not an act. It was his real thoughts and emotions on the subject. He honestly thought that everyone on dry land wanted them for money, or to stuff them for their collections. No one really wanted to know the real person they really were. It was clear on Arin's face that this man had said the wrong words to him.

The entire thing made him chuckle. "You have me wrong. I'm not acting like them I am merely trying to make you safe. Haven't you been listening? Sure I enjoy beautiful things but me taking you in was not for that purpose. You do have your own brain and I'm not objectifying you although you find yourself so. Stop comparing me to everyone else and just take into account that I'm giving you a safe place to live until you decide where you want to go from there." he stood and downed the last of his drink before setting it down.

"You don't have to like me. Hell you don't even have to talk to me but you need to understand that I am trying to protect you. You can think of me as an asshole who wants you for my own wants but I don't. I have better things on my mind then staring at you all damn day." he turned and waved a hand as he went to leave. "Sorry handsome but not everyone wants you for their wall or collection. I'm just a vampire trying my hardest to keep others like me safe. Supernatural beings are dying out don't you know? Can't blame me for trying to keep you safe in a world full of hunters." he paused at the door and looked back a moment. "Stop crying now...its unbecoming and if you're to be in my "trophy case" like you keep referring to it you can't be crying. My men will be here shortly to pick you up. After you get settled we can talk about where you want to go from there and how to keep you from getting caught again." he finally left the room leaving the merman crying in his tank by himself.

Arin's body seemed to curl in on itself. No matter how hard he tried to keep the tears from falling from his eyes, it seemed that more replaced the ones that solified. The other's words only made matter's worse. How could this man keep him safe? Even with the knowledge that the other wasn't human, he still didn't understand what this so called 'vampire' race was.

Staying where he was, he didn't dare move from his spot. Instead, he listened as the man got up and left him there. Only the words that echoed in his mind. His arms tightened around his stomach, clinching his hands to his sides. Arin shook his head the moment he heard the door to the room close before he opened his eyes to stare at the sandy bottom of the tank.

"No one... can keep me safe. Not truly safe anyways." He whispered softly to himself. It was the fear of himself that had its grips on him. He was to curious for his own good, he always managed to get himself into some sort of trouble. A soft whimper left his lips before he could stop the sound. But at least the tears had stopped falling from his eyes.

It was more of the fear that he felt at that moment. How could this man say that he would protect him and keep him safe? When the man didn't even know how Arin was?

It took him a long while before he moved from his spot. Turning to see if he really had been left alone in the room.

Alexander stretched as he left the room finding himself moving to the front entrance. His men were there with transportation for the other male inside the home. He greeted them and gave them instructions as to where his new friend was at and what they would need to do to safely transport him to his estate. He didn't want anything to come to this boy not only because he was pretty but because he hadn't deserved any ill treatment from Alexander or his men. His feet guided him to a car as he got in. He quicly turned the key and started off to his home where he would finish getting things ready there for his new companion.

He quickly got back only being a twenty minute drive from the shopkeepers location. He quickly got out of his car and trotted up the front steps. He entered his home leaving the keys to the car at the door. He was greeted by a maid who seemed to wish him a good day before going about her work. His feet turned him in the direction of the pool in his home, he never used it so he figured it would be perfect for the other to take up as a home. He could only hope that their relationship would grow better, it was a horrible first impression and Alexander felt bad for the entire encounter. He often didn't feel much but somehting about making the other cry felt wrong to him. There wasn't much he could do to make it right except try and give him a place suitable to live in.

Arin's gaze swept around the room for only a few moments before he heard the door to the room opening. Spinning himself around with wide eyes at the sudden intrusion to the room. Panic settled into his body, the need to hide himself away growing all that much quicker within him.

It wasnt a moment later that Arin's body moved from where he was to the back of the tank. Trying to dig himself deeper into a darker corner.

The shop keepers voice whispered softly. "Arin... Come on. They are not going to hurt you." He tried to use a calmer voice around the creature. Knowing that when Arin was afraid, it was difficult to get the other to come out of hiding. "Please Arin. He only wants to help you and give you a better life than what I can provide here." He tried to coax the other out once again.

A strangled whimper left Arin with a hard shake of his head. Staying where he was, that was until he felt a disturbance above him. His frightened gaze lifted up just in time to see a net being draped down on top of him. Arin's hands lifted to try and keep the net from tangling around him, but it was in vein. His body twisted and turned, only causing himself to get tied up in the ropes even more.

It was just like that day. Flashbacks raced through his mind, feeding more to the fear he already felt. He felt the memory response to the scar on his tail, causing a loud whimper to leave his lips. The sound itself sounded like a creature being tortured to death.

The guards grabbed him up in the net and quickly got him into a transport tank. They made sure he was safe during the transportation only to arrive at Alexanders estate probably freaked out yet safe. He greeted them and opened up the back of the truck walking in and kneeling beside the tank. "Hey...sorry for the barbaric way they had to get you...you don't trust anyone its rather hard. I have another place for you inside if you want to come?" he held up the collar that he knew the kid would need if he wanted out of the water. "I know you can shape shift but if you don't want to I'll leave this here. Come on in when you're ready. My guys are already leaving so no one else but me, you, and the maids are here. So come in when you're ready. I won't push you."

He turned leaving the truck. He jumped down from the top and looked back at the man in the tank. "Again, when you're ready. I'm sure you're hungry? Maybe I can get you something better to eat than what he was feeding you." he smiled a little. "Also...i have something to show you when you feel like you're ready." Alexander's home was a ten minute walk from the beach and he knew that the kid would be more than happy to see his waters again even if he wasn't ready to get back into them.

Arin wasn't aware of what was going on, only recalling what the man from before had said. He was going to be taken away from here, no matter if he liked it or not. So since he had not been so willing to leave his tank, the men decided to catch him in the one thing that Arin couldn't avoid. A net.

No matter how much had had struggled, he still managed to get caught and dragged off towards his new home. The event's had him more alert of his surroundings, in turn causing the merman even more panic than before. So it was when he finally reached his destination, his gaze lifted to see someone walking up to him. The words sent his mind into overdrive, and instead of curling up. He found himself glaring at the other.

It was as if Alexander believed that he could shift completely at will. That wasn't the case with Arin. This man had yet to realize that. Turning his gaze away at the other's words of being hungry. Instead of commenting on food. "I cant." He whispered before the other had managed to get to far away from him. "I... cant shift at will. Not when I am this weak." He tried to explain, doubting if this man would even believe him at this point.

The vampire stopped turning back to the other male. "Ah well...would you have me carry you then? Otherwise, I don't see you leaving this truck." he peered up at the cieling of the truck that had transported the merman to his home. "If you like I can have someone catch you again and drag you in but I find that a little barbaric. If you like I can quickly transport you to your new..."china cabinet" if you so wish?" His eyes turned to the other in the tank. He didn't know which of the options the merman would decide on but he was still slightly taken aback that he was being so skiddish in the first place.

The vampire lightly leaned against the truck peering up into it at his new companion. He didn't really have time for tedious events like this so the banter back in forth with the merman just brought up about unwant and annoyance from the other being. Why couldn't he just suck it up and stay in a tank till he could get strong enough to go elsewhere? Why couldn't he get strong enough and then decide what to do from there? It wasn't like everyone was out to get him, Alexander sure didn't have ill intentions.

Arin let his gaze fall. Listening to the man's words, again hating the other's choice of words. But what the other had said was true. And it only made this all the much worse. A soft incoherent noise left Arin's lips, as if torn on what he should do. How could he let what had happened to him in the past go?

The decision seemed to be made up before he could even change his mind. He had to get out of this truck. He knew if he stayed longer in the water that he had been placed in, it wouldn't give him the mineral's to stay alive the whole time. Let alone, it would only cause to him get weaker. Arin shook his head before turning his gaze to the vampire.

"If... I stay in this tank. I will eventually parish." He whispered before lowering his gaze once more. "This water doesn't contain the mineral's needed for my kind." He tried to explain to the other. "I need... your help." He finally admitted, not only to himself.

Alexander nodded and quickly moved to the side of the tank. He peered down into it at the other. "Well I promise I wont drop you...but you'll have to trust me to get you there." he held out his arms as if to pick the other up out of the tank. He wasn't however going to do it without consent. "Come here, I'm happy you didn't make me get my guys back. I really didn't want to see you tied up in another net like that..." he leaned down some getting ready for arms to be around his neck so he could lift this man out of the tank.

It was true he didn't like seeing the other hurt, hell he didn't like seeing most people hurt although he did eat people for a living. This was mostly why he left before the other was transported anyway. He didn't want to have to stick around and listen to him struggle against the net and fight as if he was going to be hurt. He didn't want to have to be that guy who was doing awful things to another supernatural being. He wanted nothing more than to keep this guy safe and if doing so ment healing him up just to let him back into the ocean than so be it. "So...what do we gotta do for you to shapeshift again?" he asked curiosity slightly killing him on the subject.

Arin's gaze turned back to Alexander the moment that he heard the other moving along the side of the tank he was in. He still didn't trust this man, but he did know that he needed some kind of help. This seemed like the only option being given to him. So when he heard the man's words, Arin's gaze flickered in the dim light. The words of a net hit him hard, causing his body to jerk with a soft whimper. It was all to clear that he had been caught in one before this man had even shown up. The thought was terrifying. But it was the unknown that terrified him the most if he had been caught by someone who wanted nothing more than to sell him off out of greed.

His gaze fell from Alexander's before finally moving form his spot. Shifting around in the water a bit to wrap his arms around the man's neck. But it was when he tried to tug himself up enough for the man to pick him up, that was when he noticed just how weak he had gotten. He wasn't even able to lift himself up out of the water, and it only caused more panic to race through him.

"Just for now... need to get in salt water." Arin managed to get his voice to work, but he couldn't hide the panic from his voice.

Alexander pulled the other close as his arms went around his neck. "Hey hey...you okay? Come on I may be a vampire but you really are expecting me to use everything here." he leaned down and dipped his other hand into the water sliding an arm under the males tail. "Do you need salt water now? The pool has salt water in it...less you need the ocean. I can get you that too." he said pulling the male up and out of the water with a soft grunt. He shifted him in his hands shivering from the water that instantly ran down the front of him. "Well now we are both soaked how about that? Now tell me what you need and I'll get it for you...stop being scared of me and let me help you." he turned his eyes to those of the man in his arms. It was strange but Alexander felt his chest tighten when he heard that this creature was getting weaker and weaker. He didn't want him to die and least of all he didn't want to be without him. Sure it was selfish but the vampire needed this gorgeous creature in his life. He head tilted slightly and he pulled him over walking to the side of the truck. The sun had set and so the merman wouldn't dry out too quickly if he was out too long. If need be Alexander could flint to the ocean and quickly get him in if he needed to.

Arin's arms tightened around Alexander's neck when he was pulled from the water. His eyes slowly slid closed and his body leaned against the man's chest. The more he fought to stay conscious, the more his body fought against him. He needed to rest and get the minerals that his body was screaming for. The more that Alexander complained about what was happening, the more he found it harder for himself to keep from subcoming into the unwanted endless sleep.

"Pool..." Arin managed to pull the words from his lips. It wasn't as if this was his fault. Could anyone really blame the shop keeper of his lack of knowledge about the boy's race? His tail dangled over the man's arm and the lack of free movement could be an alarming tell tell that Arin was in terrible shape.

Only the small movements that the boy made could show that he was trying his best to stay awake, even if he had closed his eyes. It was the sensation of his body being carried that had his eyes sliding tiredly open to see himself being carried off to the side of the truck.
