Raphas got up from the seat of bones he created and waved his hand, the skeletons he summoned all disappeared while two clusters of black mists occurred. He gave Kovi one last look before stepping through one of them and left Kovi by himself.

Raphas stepped out of the portal and emerged inside his room in the palace. At that exact moment there was a knock on the door.

 

“What?” Raphas asked

 

The voice of a palace guard came from outside the door: “My apologies for disturbing you Lord Goetios, Lonan Asturias is here to see you. He said it’s a matter of great importance.”

 

“Ah yes, little Lonan! Take him to my office.” Raphas said

 

Moments latter the dark wizard was sitting in his office while the young son of the powerful viscount was kneeling before him with his head down. With the usual smile Raphas looked down at the noble and said: “My dear little Lonan, I have a small favor to ask of you.”

 

“Favor, my lord?” Lonan rasked.

 

“Yes, Lonan. A small favor.” Raphas paused for a moment and said: “Mind if I start a revolt in your family’s estate?”

 

Lonan raised his head and looked at Raphas with disbelief, and his body trembled when he met Raphas’s green eyes. But he quickly regained his calm and louwered his head once more, as he knew he really had no choice in the matter: “Of course my lord. Your wish is my command.”

 

“Excellent Lonan. Here’s what I need you to do....” Raphas gestured the noble to come closer.

 

The night continued, and unbeknownst to the world, the fate of hundreds of villagers were sealed.
