The Valley of the Mystics (poem I had to write for school)

Look beyond the meadows

Beyond the hills and trees.

Gaze over the mountains

And all the shining seas.

 

Walk into the sunset

To a place that’s filled with dreams.

Where everything’s a surprise.

And nothing’s at all as it seems.

 

It is called the land of the Mystics.

Where mystical creatures are found.

Some dragons live up in the sky,

While other’s inhabit the ground.

 

The valley is covered in flowers,

The forest’s as green as can be.

All creatures have made it their home.

But hide so they cannot be seen.

 

Each one has their own kind of power.

The limit of strength, there is none.

Their magic combined is incredible.

It dims the light of the sun.

 

Of all the creatures that live there,

Only one has power above all.

The mighty magnificent unicorn.

With its horn he stands proud and tall.

 

The unicorn’s presences is noticed

From the minute he appears on the hill.

If you look at the stars on a warm clear night.

You’ll see that’s he’s standing there still.
