This world we live in is said

To be the best of worlds

We've got a million chances

And the money keeps flowing in

 

But the money doesn't cure heartache

And it doesn't make you feel less alone

And with every opporunity given

There's a thousand thorns

 

And there's the dark side

That we so desperatly want to hide

There's the suffering&poverty

Things we want to ignore

 

 

Many care only for what they've got

And to satisfy their own shallow needs

You start war for the sake of some dirty oil

But don't care about the lives destroyed

 

What I'm trying to say,

And what so many ignored

Is that we now put a price on someones life

And it's cost is way too low

And with every opporunity given

There's a thousand thorns

. .these lines attracted me the most, it's so TRUE!
