My heart breaks again today ,

Why did you have to go away ,

They say it gets easier with time ,

But you keep flooding my mind ,

I wish we could go back to yesterday ,

There is so much I long to say,

I want to see you smile on more time ,

Thank you I mostly write what I feel. I have made some songs as well but when I always sing the poems in my head to remember them ^^ I wish I could write music like the notes but I only can do lyrics ^^.

Where were you when I was all alone ,

When they stomped all over my name ,

As I lay shaken in my shame ,

Here's a short story I did in 2009 my book club was reading this book about a lady who had a writing class so we tried one the assignments .The story had to start and end with "Kiss me . "

 

Kiss Me

 

"Kiss me " he whispers in my ear .

"But I don't even know you ."

He looks away smiling as we watch the glowing ball drop .

"But its New years eve ."He runs his fingers through my hair .

"Your single right ?" "Well yes . " I say reluctantly. I sigh 'why did I travel to New York for this.'

"Just a peck and I'll be gone from your life forever . " He promises.

 

This is when I really look at him.Gorgeous black locks hang from his face. His brown eyes seem to consume me ,this man all in all could be a model .So it not his looks or his personality . I won't lose anything from kissing him . But something at the back at my mind keeps nagging me to stay away . But this angel pleads one more time "Kiss me. " What if this is my last chance ?

 

I close my eyes and his gentle hand tilts my head as his gentle lips touch mine the world around me seems to stop.

I pull him closer and kiss him one more time . "Thank you . "he says as he mock bows . Before I can say a thing he slips into the busy crowd . "As promised ." As the warmness of his kiss starts to fade everything starts to spin . My body begins to shake ,my eyes are wet but why ? And then it all comes back to me like a slap in the face .

 

"No! " I scream "Don't leave me ! "

Five Years Earlier ....

 

The rain doesn't want to let up . What a perfect fit for such a terrible day. Since the fight with my father

he has been driving non-stop with no rhyme or reason .

"Where are we going ? "

"Its a surprise ." he says with a tight smile .

"Why don't we stop you look tired ."

"I'm fine ." he lies .

"You love me right ?" He asks looking at me desperately .

 

"Of course ! " "You know that ." "Dad will come around some day ."

"How long will you let your family run your life your twenty-three ! "

"But he is my father ! " I counter tears falling helplessly down my face .

Only the steady rain fills the silence I watch him as he takes a deep breath calming himself.

 

"I'm sorry ." "I didn't mean to yell . " He says gently taking my hand .

"Sweet Jasmine will you marry me ? " "No family ,no friends , just the two of us ."

"As long were together that's all that matters to me ." " Maybe like you said later your Father will come around . "

"Yes ." is all I can answer .

 

 

But the rain still persists. It threatens to darken our mood but nothing could darken this moment .

Or so we thought.

 

"Kiss me ." he begs look away from the road from the briefest of a minute . I lean in to give him a kiss from there everything went so fast . Bright headlights head on blind us with no hope of stopping .He tries to spin away from the crazy car but the slick roads send us straight into another car . Before the darkness took me all I wanted to say is "I love you . "

 

The next moment I awake to a sea of white my head all bandaged up .They must have drugged me because I was always in and out of conscious . But I was able to pick up some things.

 

"I'm very sorry ." The doctor says .

"Are you sure ? She's lost all her memory ? " a familiar voice asks .

"Yes. " The doctor mournfully answers .

"Its ok we can just start over . " the man says hopeful.

It was like his name was on the very tip of my tongue but something blocks him from my mind. I know if if he would only hurry over to me maybe I can remember . But that can never be .

 

 

"Stay away from my daughter ! " My father demands pushing the man against the wall.

"We love each other !" he pleads sobbing.

"She has forgotten . Plus haven't you done enough damage ?!"

"Leave! "

"Please just let me stay till she wakes up at least let me say goodbye ."

 

"Leave now or I will call security ! " My father growls .

 

Before the defeated man leaves he yells from the top of his lungs "Jasmine I love you I will always love you !

" "I will be waiting for you !"

 

But then the darkness takes me again. Everything aside from my family forgotten .

Present time .

 

I never knew till this moment why I came to New York .I mean there was thousands of other places I could have went .

It must have been fate for us to meet again . Like sleeping beauty he woke me up from my slumber .

But as I fumble through the crowd the doubts begin to fill my mind . Is he still waiting for me ? Does he still love me?

And why didn't he just tell me ?

 

"Just a peck and I'll be gone from your life forever . " His words from earlier send tears down my face .

How can he leave my life ? The last five years I have felt like there was a big hole in my heart .

But I could never place it . But as the seconds pass by it seems to grow .

 

There is no way I can find him through this crowd .My hope begins to fade .

A pushy man pushes his microphone towards me " So what did you think of the parade ?" The reporter asks.

I was about to tell him to shove off when I realized my chance . I grab his microphone "Is this live ?" I ask pointing to the tv's around . "Why yes it is . "

"Perfect ! "

 

"Paul ! " "Paul its Jasmine ! " "Please come back , I remember everything ."

My mind screams he has forgotten you five years is too long of a wait . But I push it back .

"Just the two of us ! " "Just us ! " I plead as the passerby's look at me with curiosity .

"I love you . " I say with the last of my strength as I hand back the microphone .

 

Its selfish of me to think he would come .I walk a block but the pain is too much I have to rest.

Lucky for me a bench is empty . Rain begins to fall . "Just perfect." I grumble but I don't move.

Someone sits beside me but I'm beyond caring ." You know you are a hard person to find ."

 

There was million of things I wanted to say to this man .Like don't you ever leave me again .

I'm sorry . Lets forget about my family . Like I said millions of things .

 

But as I stare into his eyes I knew what I needed to say ."Kiss Me ."

Wow thanks I think I still got to work a lot . I'm going to buy some books to help me . For poems I just write how I feel and don't have a set style. But you really have a gift Tat-chan so means a lot you saying that ^_^ I prefer yours to mine ^^.
