GodofMischief
Dragonborn, those handful of rare children born with a unique bond to one dragon amongst the thousands. They will only bond with these dragons and these dragons will only bond with them. Their ties to one another are unique, one in one hundred thousand. Through these bonds, these children develop abilities that exceed that of the normal human being. Their senses are heightened by sharing senses with their dragons. They don't age quite as fast as all other humans, because of their Soul Bonds to the dragons, they have the capability of living for several centuries before they show age. And unlike other dragon riders and their steed, Dragonborns can communicate with their partners in a way no other can. They don't just understand their Dragon's gestures, they can hear their voices in their head and can answer back just as easily. They're a unique breed of human. One nearly extinct. Often whispered upon only in myths and legends of the past and the great Riders that had once lived. To be a Dragonborn was a great honor and privilege bestowed upon one by the Gods, at least that's what was thought. In any sense, they were a rare type of human....A unique gem hidden in the chaotic world around them. Plot Idea: YC had once known the love and affection of family. Had once slept in a comfortable bed and shared many laughs and gestures of affection with those he held dearest to him. He had once known what it meant to have the protection of those he loved around and had the companionship of close friends. However, all that changed when his village was burnt to the ground and his family and friends were burnt to ashes with it. Every trace of happiness he had once had was ripped from his hands the moment he was found amongst the destruction and taken within the walls of an enemy nation. YC was thrown in a life of slavery, his freedom stripped from him faster than he could blind. His pride smashed to the ground and his love for life torn to nothing. His will to live, fading by each passing day. It was only his will to keep the promise he made to his family that he would survive, kept YC from kicking the bucket and joining his loved ones in the afterlife. Slavery did not suit him and more often than not, he was subject to brutal beatings for his defiance and rejection of the orders placed upon him. And while his will to find a way to escape this hell his life had become, was strong, YC didn't know how much longer he'd be able to survive the pain and misery that every day brought upon his shoulders. There was no way he could deny that he was tired of fighting, of struggling to get his feet steady under him again. There was no hiding the fact that he simply wanted to try his hand at laying down on the ground and refusing to struggle any longer. His heart yearned for a freedom he doubted he could ever achieve. That all changes the moment a destructive, infuriated and frightened dragon literally crashes into one of the sites he and several other slaves had been forced to work upon one evening. While dragons were not uncommon in his world and he had seen his fair share of them being ordered around by their Riders in this cruel nation....YC had not been expecting to hear the dragon's voice in his head. So strong and loud that YC thought he had gone crazy for a moment. However, when those wild, prideful eyes land on him....YC realizes that he is not crazy. At least not fully.....and that this might just be the escape route he had been praying for for so many years now. In a split moment, YC makes a decision that is bound to change his life forever. Seizing the moment as he sees it, YC sprints towards the dragon and in a movement that would have shocked him to his core if he had been thinking clearly, YC mounts the great beast and after a bit of protesting from the Beast, the pair take off into the air. For days they sail through the skies and throughout those days, YC tries to come to terms with the fact that he can not only hear this creature's voice in his mind, but can also understand the beast's feelings as clear as day. On the dawning mark of their second week of flying, YC is surprised when the dragon decides to land on a rather large stretch of land surrounded by vast oceans at either side. As the pair explore this new land, YC keeping close to the dragon and its strange sense of excitement, they stumble across one of three brother who claim to rule this stretch of land and the clan that has made a home for themselves here. The stranger is not on his own, no, at his side is a proud and beautiful dragon....one whose clear intention is keeping his human safe from this stranger and YC's dragon. It doesn't take YC long to realize that this man is just like him, he can speak the tongue of dragons and understand it as well. Not only that, but his village had previously been destroyed years ago by the nation YC had run from and he was building his forces to level an attack on them soon enough. Will YC decide to join this brave, new village he has stumbled upon? It seems that the village has all the answers he needs to know exactly what he is and train him to become a perfect team with the Dragon that has claimed him. Will he stick around to learn all they have to offer? And will he get his revenge on the nation that caused him so much pain? Rules: -This plot is not set in stone. It can be changed, I have no issues with that. It's just a small idea that popped up in my head and I wanted to give it a shot. Again, things can be changed completely or just shifted around subtly, I don't really care. What matters most to me is having my three Characters and their Dragons made available for this plot. I've been craving using them for a good long time and I hope we can take this off the ground quick enough. -Posting will vary a bit for me. I do work a full time job and more often than not, am busy with house work and other chores. Nevertheless, I'll make it a personal point in posting several times a day and being rather frequent with daily replies. Should I vanish for more than a few days, I'm fine with you giving me a poke and reminding me to post a reply. In short, I would like a partner that is only fairly frequently so that we can keep this thing moving. -Character positions are clearly listed in my Character skeletons. I don't play Ukes and I much rather if my partners would avoid playing as strict Ukes as well. I prefer to make a story with a character that had a back bone and can mesh well with my own, which is why I've added their Skeletons to this thread. You are free to pick from which ever brother you find the most interesting, I don't mind. Their ideal partners are listed in their Skeletons as well. -Pictures. I'm fine with anything. I chose to use fantasy-ish pictures, that doesn't mean that you have to do the same. Whatever picture strikes your fancy is fine with me. -To assure my that you've read the rules and wish to test this plot idea out, send me a pm with the title "Dragonborn" as well as a skeleton of the Character you would be using as well as which brother you'd like me to be. -That's about it. Thanks for taking the time to read this long piece of work and I hope to hear from you guys soon! Skeletons: Name: Tobias Age: 24 Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Gay Position: Seme or Seke Rank: Chieftain, first born son of former Rulers. Ideal partner: Seke or Seme.....maybe Power bottom. Personality: Tobias is by far the most serious of the brothers. He isn't stern or cold tempered...he's simply rather stoic and a tad monotonic. However, just as he is stone faced, Tobias is also calm tempered, strong and kind. He rules with a patient mindset and a soul longing for justice. He is not cruel nor is he vindictive. He has a good head on his shoulders and weighs every decision before he decides to make his move. Wise beyond his years, Tobias is a role model for the younger generation in his clan and he is a beloved leader to his people. Bio: Tobias was born as the first Prince of his people. He was the pride and joy of his parents and their pride in him only grew further as he aged and demonstrated an intelligence beyond someone of his young age. Tobias proved to be a sharp, curious young boy with a natural craving to learn all he could from everyone and everything around him. He was a jewel of a child, loved by all who set eyes on him. When his younger brothers came into the picture, each a few years after him, Tobias embraced them with the love only a proud older brother could have. He bore no jealousy towards them, instead he swore to keep them safe from anything that sought to do them wrong. When signs began to appear that Tobias might very well be the first Dragonborn child in centuries, his parents were beside themselves with both pride and disbelief. Even more so when the little boy of 12 showed up one morning with a dragon that would soon become his best friend and ever vigilant guardian. As he aged, Tobias and Fenrir, grew in bond and love. There was never a day the boy was seen without his faithful dragon by his side. And when both his brothers began to show signs that they too shared the traits of those extremely rare Dragonborn children, their people and their parents thought that the Gods and Goddesses had smiled upon them and provided them with a protection that would be nearly impenetrable. Little did they know it wasn't as it seemed. At the dawn of his 16th birthday, when Tobias had been eager for yet another year of learning to become the perfect Chieftain and Arwen was in the midst of his 6th year, a terrible attack fell upon their people. One no one had seen coming. An attack that left their clan without their leaders and Tobias horribly injured in an effort to protect his younger brothers. Many feared that the Crown Prince would not survive and the clan grieved not only for the death of the boys parents, but also for the life trickling out of the next in line to lead them. However, Tobias was not to be given up on so easily. No one knows for sure how it happened, but the young man recovered and survived his horrific injuries. Many whispered it was through the will of Fenrir himself to save his human, while others murmured the Gods had pardoned the young Prince's life. However, that didn't matter. What mattered was that the clan had a new Chieftain and that not all was lost. Over the next years, Tobias grew into the man his parents had always wanted. In fact, some would say that he grew to be a better Chieftain that even his father. With the help of his parents advisors at hand, Tobias rebuilt his clan with his brothers, their dragons, and Fenrir at his side. Under his hand, the clan grew in strength and thrived for the years to come. Their love for the young Chieftain grew with every passing season. And even though Tobias bore the heavy weight of his people and their future on his shoulders, he never faltered in his loyalty and dedication to them. Extra: Before the accident that nearly took his life, Tobias shared the same dark hair as his siblings. After he awoke from his coma, Tobias' hair changed from dark brown to pale as snow, as did his eyes. Many in the village speculated that it was because of Fenrir's will and intensity to bring his human back from the brink of death, that the dragon had given him a hint of the very essence that made Fenrir who he was. Name: Fenrir Type of Dragon: Ice/Storm Dragon Body type: Serpentine Age: 6000 Gender: Male Personality: Fenrir is a stern, no nonsense dragon. He's is fiercely protective and loyal to a fault. He aggressively guards Tobias both in and out of battle, rarely allowing unknown people or dragons near him. Being as he is a dragon of Ice and Storms, Fenrir has a rather cold disposition to him and has no quarrels in putting anyone who opposes his Bonded Human or himself, in their place. He does not trust easily and anyone he thinks is a threat to Tobias, he makes sure to make his feelings clear too. This serpentine dragon listens to no one but Tobias himself and the other young Princes and their dragons, of which he is equally protective of. Powers: Fenrir controls Ice and Snow for the most part. However, when truly angered, he can create horrible storms that can threaten to whip out entire villages if that is his desire. Name: Zayne Age: 21 Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Gay Position: Seke Rank: Second Born Crowned Prince Ideal Partner: Seme or Seke or maybe Power bottom. Personality: Zayne is probably the most light tempered and easy natured of his brothers. He tends to take things one day at a time and enjoys to have fun in life as long as he can. While Zane is perfectly capable of having an explosive temper when provoked and would happily cut someone down should they disrespect his brothers, he tends to orbit around the cool side of life. A tad lazy, the young Prince can often be found snoozing around the grassy fields surrounding his clan's home or on the roof of his shared home with his brothers. Zayne is known for his trademark grin and his somewhat mischievous nature, always looking to have some fun throughout the days. Nevertheless, he's exceedingly loyal to his brothers and would rather cut his own life short than let harm come to them. Bio: Growing up, Zayne always admired and loved his big brother. In his eyes, Tobias always seemed so much bigger than life. Zayne adored his brother and strived to be like him in everything he did. While Tobias proved to be smarter and quicker at learning, Zayne never let that dishearten him. As long as he got a word of praise from not only his parents but Tobias himself, then his efforts were all the more worth it. That's why when it was discovered that he was a Dragonborn, just like his older brother, Zayne was over the moon. To be the second Dragonborn in centuries and to be able to share such a special trait with Tobias, Zayne couldn't wish for more. More so when he met his own dragon, Volos. With his brother and the boy's dragon Fenrir by their side, Zayne and Volos learned quickly how to work as a team and their own bond grew to be equally as unbreakable. The pair became another common sight aside from Tobias and Fenrir and the village thrived under the thought of having two Dragonborn as their protectors. It was a treat, a gift from the Gods, an offering of safe voyage from those very Gods that were worshiped every day and night. However, they couldn't have been any more wrong. When the attack fell upon their village, Zayne hadn't known how to react. All he had known was that he had to keep his little brother, Arwen, safe. It was through the fire, smoke and the choking levels of fear that Zayne could just barely see the slain forms of his mother and father laying a few short feet away from them. His young mind struggled to comprehend what he was seeing and even as he heard Volos' voice in his mind, beseeching him to move....to do anything in order for his dragon to be able to reach him through the flames and destruction, Zayne couldn't move. Not even an inch. Not until he felt Tobias' weight crash over them a split moment before the ceiling of their flaming house collapsed onto them. Zayne didn't know how long they laid there under the rubble of what had once been their home, but it felt like days before he felt the shifting of rubble above them and he glanced up long enough to just be able to make out the figures of both Fenrir, Volos and Arwen's own dragon. The days felt like months as Zayne sat beside the vaguely healing body of his dormant older brother, mind lost in his grief and pain and arms wrapped tightly around the constantly shaking shape of their younger brother. The days that followed the attack were dreadful and dark, Zayne didn't know how he survived them but he knew that Volos never once left his side, the dragon providing as much comfort as he could. Not only him, but Fenrir and Arwen's dragon remained a constantly presence as well, one Zayne would forever be thankful for. Without them, with Tobias in a wake-less sleep and Arwen nearly catatonic....Zayne doubted he would have survived. When Tobias finally awoke and his brother set upon getting himself, what remained of his family, and their village back on their feet....both Zayne and Arwen stuck to his side like glue. Neither brother willing to take their eyes of the eldest in their midst in fears that he would vanish from their reach again. The years under Tobias' guiding hand were long but smooth in transition. His brother proved to be an excellent Chieftain through and through and the village once again began to thrive under his rule. Zayne helped his brother in anything he could, his love ever clear and fierce for both his siblings. Young as he was, Zayne proved to be a great advisor for his older brother and was always willing to travel far and wide to bring news back to his beloved Chieftain. In the end, they made a system of it, Zayne becoming a sort of messenger for his brother as the years went by. Extra: While Zayne has a tendency to be lazy, the male is extraordinarily vigilant and he can pick up the slightest traces of danger before they get anywhere close to his village and family. He also has a serpentine creature tattooed onto his chest as another indication of his bond to Volos. Name: Volos Type of Dragon: Earth Dragon Body Type: Serpentine Age: 4000 Gender: Male Personality: Volos has a personality that matches his Bonded Human. The dragon is laid back and easy going at best. He prefers to live a calm existence and won't quarrel with anyone unless there in no other option. Like Zayne, Volos enjoys sleeping under the warm sun or cool moon and could be found most times than not, stretched out enjoying the rays of the sun a few feet from his Human. However, be that as it is, Volos is not a dragon to be underestimated. As Fenrir is, Volos is fiercely protective of Zayne and the man's family. This easy tempered dragon would quickly rip anyone apart than let them bring any sort of danger to his family and the ones he has come to love. Powers: Volos controls earth. He can make plants and flowers bloom just as easily as he can make the shrivel and die. He can conjure deadly vines, monstrous plants and bring upon earthquakes if angered. Name: Arwen Age: 18 Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Gay Position: Seke, maybe....possibly power bottom if needed. Rank: Third Born Crowned Prince Ideal Partner: Seme, Seke, or power bottom if I don't play him as one. Personality: Arwen has a tendency to be the most temperamental of his brothers. Being the youngest, he has more freedom to do with his life as he pleases and he's not shy about letting his feelings be heard. Arwen is sharp tongued and quick to make it clear that he won't accept idiocies from those around him. His temper is as fierce and burning as fire and he's not afraid to use it if it makes others act as they should around him. While he doesn't truly care much over the fact that he is a Prince, Arwen still loves both his older brothers fiercely and would sooner bite off the head of anyone who disrespects them than allow such behavior to go on unnoticed. Bio: Arwen can't say he remembers too much of his parents. He was young when they were slain and he hadn't had the time to interact with them as much as his brothers had. Nevertheless, what he does remember of them, makes him love them as strongly as a child could love their parents. Arwen remembers them being kind, gentle and loving. His father was a proud, strong, somewhat stern yet infinitely loving man and their mother had been as gentle as the summer breeze. Affectionate, filled with happiness and joy every day that came. They had meant the world the the youngest Prince, as had his brothers. In the memories he did have, Arwen doubted he could have been happier with the parents he had been bestowed with. When the youngest Prince showed the signs that he too was a Dragonborn child, the village and his family had rejoiced. While Arwen had feared what that had meant at first, when he met Tanit, Arwen found his fears melting away like snow. His dragon was kind and gentle and soon the pair formed an unbreakable bond, much like the bond his brothers had with their own dragons. Tanit became Arwen's best friend and faithful companion, watching over and playing with the little boy when his brothers were pulled away by matters of the village and their parents. With Tanit in his life, Arwen felt like his family was complete, like he didn't need anything else to be happy. By the Gods, he doubted he could be any happier if he even tried. That all changed on the night his parents were murdered. Arwen still remembers walking into their dining chamber to find them both laying on the ground covering in their own blood. Sightless eyes staring at him with what could only be described as fear, rage, and disbelief. Arwen still recalls the moment he distantly felt Zayne's presence as his older brother wrapped him tight in his own arms even while the older boy's face completely drained of color and his eyes were filled with shock. He could hear Tanit's voice in his mind, tone heavy with worry as he pleaded with his human to tell him what was wrong....And it was then that the fire began. The heat of it burned his skin and filled his lungs with unforgiving smoke. Breathing became a chore and his eyes watered in the sting of the flames, But Arwen didn't care. Couldn't care. He couldn't tear his eyes off the corpses of his parents even as the world burned down around him and his heart shattered to pieces inside his chest. It was only when he barely caught a streak of moment and felt the slam of Tobias' body over them, shielding both the younger boys from the chaos around them as their house fell too pieces, that Arwen stirred. However, he wished he hadn't. It was hours before their dragons were able to reach them and pull them from the rubble and when that happened, the full extent of what had happened came into light. Not only had they lost their parents, but they were in danger of losing their beloved older brother as well. In their shocked disbelief, they had forced their brother's hand and he had sacrificed himself to keep them safe. At least, that was how Arwen saw it and the guilt that built in him threaten to steal whatever breath of life he had left inside him. Arwen doesn't know how long he sat crying by Tobias' disturbingly still body. He begged for their brother to come back to them, to not leave them too. He wept and sobbed Tobias' name for countless nights and every time he slept, he was plagued with nightmares that his brother would slip away from them and be as lost to them as their parents. Arwen couldn't handle the thought and for the days it took for Tobias to open his eyes and reassure them that he would survive, Arwen clung to Zayne's side. Desperately holding onto the only brother he had left. Even when Tobias woke and showered his brothers in affection and promises that he wouldn't leave them, Arwen developed a tendency to cling onto his brother in any way he could and shadow his every move. A behavior he shared with Zayne. Throughout the years, as Tobias grew stronger and rebuilt their life and village once again, Arwen became something of his personal defender. A person who shot down all who even thought of defying his sibling and put any murmur of disrespect, no matter how small, in its place. He had already lost his parents, he would not lose his brothers. He would never allow anyone to touch them and he pitied all who dared. For not only would they suffer his rage, but that of his dragon and Fenrir....a majestic beast that could make even the bravest of men weep. Not to mention Zayne and Volos. As he grew older, Arwen became to first line of defense for his village, despite Tobias' many worries for him. Young as he might have been, he grew to love training the newest generation of their people, it became a favored duty for him that he would never turn down. Extra: As much as he loves his brothers, Arwen often tends to nag at Zayne when the man is being particularly lazy and unproductive. He also tends to pressure Tobias to have frequent breaks if it seems that his brother has been pushing himself far too long. In a sense, aside from his fierce personality, the boy tends to almost be a mother hen around his brothers. Name: Tanit Type of Dragon: Dragon of Air Body Type: Large winged beast, still rather young and not to his full height. However, he is a broad shouldered, strong framed beast. Age: 1000 Gender: Male Personality: Tanit, as opposed to the other dragons, does not mirror Arwen's personality. While he will happily kill anyone he deems a threat to his human or Arwen's brothers and their dragons, Tanit is far calmer than Arwen. He's playful and mischievous when there is time for games. Many attribute this due to his young age, being only slightly more than a hatchling himself. Nevertheless, Tanit takes great pleasure and pride in assisting Arwen on his battle training and spars. He likes a good challenge and enjoys the rush of adrenaline in his veins. Most times than not, though, in the rare occasions he is not shadowing Arwen...Tanit came be seen admiring both Fenrir and Volos, trying to gain their approval and bathing under their affection. He's a gentle dragon at heart but his loyalty is solely tied to his family and he will kill anyone who threatens to bring them harm. Powers: Tanit commands the air at his will. He can make fierce winds blow across the lands as well as he can make the gentlest of summer breezes bring caresses against one's body. If angered he can bring upon great wind storms and if provoked, can invoke the wrath of tornados.
