Shisu-Chan00
When dinner was finished they ate in silence together until one of them decided to talk. It was like they hadn’t just had a horrible day together and that Rei hadn’t turned into a demon spawn earlier that day. Shu was more than happy that Rei liked his rice balls and he didn’t mind making them for him either. The fact that Rei ate every bit of them made him happy all in his own. They were talking and eating and laughing together until their plates were empty. Before too long curfew started to creep up on them and Shu knew he would have to go back to his room at some point. He peered back at the sky and sighed softly, the sun was going down. Just as he was thinking in Rei was mentioning it and he smiled a little with a nod. “You’re right. Thanks for having dinner with me…it meant a lot.” He smiled brightly before waving and leaving the upperclassman dormitory. He wondered how anyone slept with each other in this school for the curfew and such. He stopped in his tracks outside of the dorm with a blush on his face. Why would he have even been thinking about that anyway? Not like he had ever slept with anyone let alone…wanted to? Or did he? He ran a hand through his hair pushing the long locks into a ponytail. His hair out of his face for once was an odd sight, his mangled eye open to the public. Thankfully he wasn’t going to be seeing anyone tonight and no one would be out anyway. He welcomed the night, he could be himself without the worry of anyone seeing him. He didn’t have to worry about the moons light against his skin, shining onto his past like a match. He didn’t have to worry about any prying, pittying eyes heading his way. He could be free, free to be himself, free to show himself as he was. Before too long he made it back to his own dorm, opening the door rather quietly knowing he was late even though he left early. He tiptoed to his room and quickly unlocked it before falling into bed. He laughed softly and ran a hand through his hair once more feeling its long trendiles falling out of the rubber band in his hair. Here was even better, no one would bother him here. He unbuttoned his shirt and let it lay open against his chest. One of his fingers lightly traced a scar under his bicep that curved up to his armpit. He sometimes wondered how awful and cruel you had to be to do something like this to a child. He never understood his parents, never understood why they decided to do such horrible things. Even after he was sent here, practically disowned, he still wondered if his parents ever felt guilty about it. Ever wished they could take back every scar on his body and replace them with love. Of course this was just silly thinking. His parents hated him and now that he was older it wasn’t hard to see. When he was younger he used to think that maybe he had done something wrong, had hurt them somehow. Now, that he was basically on his own he realized his parents were thankful he left and would probably be better off if he had died at birth. He sat up in his bed and sighed, “What a dark thought…” He shook his head and stood letting the shirt fall from his body as his hands roamed down to his belt undoing it and hanging it up in his closet. He then stepped out of his pants and crawled into bed with nothing but his boxers on. It was a nice feeling, one he didn’t get very often having had to hide behind all those clothes every day even in the heat. Some people just didn’t understand…then again. His mind flashed back to that moment in the bathroom when Rei noticed his scars. His fingers roaming over his chest as if it wasn’t as ugly and mutilated as Shu knew it was. The thought made a warm fuzzy feeling fill his heart and he hugged his waist lightly and buried his face in his pillow. It wasn’t good, it wasn’t looking good. He was falling for Rei and Rei probably only touched him to get them out of that situation. It probably didn’t mean anything to him. He rolled over onto his side and slowly fell asleep trying to relax. The morning came in a flash and he heard kids running around outside his dorm room. He groaned and pulled the pillow over his face before he sighed and got up. Luckily the president was nice enough to give him a single room with a walk in shower so he wouldn’t have to be in the bathrooms with tubs. He thanked the president for understanding students and their needs. He quickly got up and around taking a shower and getting dressed. He didn’t know what he had planned for today but he hoped it wasn’’t anything as horrible as yesterday. Then again he had very few friends so he doubted any of them were going to be calling on him today. Less, Rei wanted to see him. He blushed a little and shook his head going to his closet and finding something to wear.
