When you start some thing but you just can go any more...

What do you do?

Right now I try to rewrite my short BL novel I did in Korean to English...

But, most of my writting start with this feel of urge and spontaneous inspiration...

Well some time I do start with the basic story line... and write from it...

But, I still need this feel of urge...

Now, my problem is this is rewrite story...

So I just can get this urge feeling when I do writting...

I just done 2 page... still have to go for 14 more or less...

 

 

Well I start so I just want to finish this...

But, this is been 3 or 4 day since I start rewritting it...

Don't say take you time... If I take more time... I don't think I can finish at all... --;;;

So... how would you do if you are in my case...

What can make you write the rewrite story go on?

Well I know this isn't easy thing to answer...

I just want to know what other people will do get out from this...

hmmm ..

well, right now i'm writing a novel and i've stopped on chapter 4 ... but i just finished my 5th chapter last night, i've lost hope like you did before i started writing again, so my advice is ..

there's nothing called (i can't go on anymore) don't push yourself but try to make writing fun. if you do than you'll love to continue writing!

 

do you got any idea of what ya'r gonna write next?

if you don't than take no more time! no seriously, shut the t.v, or whatever is distracting you and start now, just check what you wrote before and then the ideas will come, like if you stopped at a sentence .... well i'll tell you what happened to me and you'll understand ..

 

when i finished the fourth chapter of my novel, i ABANDONED it, i couldn't find niether the ideas or the inspiration, and then i've realised that i was just tierd of writing, and i've rested long enough, so i took a notebook, and went to somewhere new to write at, i usualy write in my room, but i thought that some change would help ..

well, i went outside in the garden, and i've read what i've already wrote and then i had ideas of what i'll write next, but then i stopped in the middle of it, i didn't know what to write next, so i just flipped the page and looked around .. and wrote whatever came to my mind ... car, mall, house, hotel, ipod, shopping, phone, hobby, exotic

and then i tried to ... lets say .. find ideas in these words and in the end i really did find ideas! let me give you an example ..

let's say that .. the last sentence i wrote was "he sat on the bed and lighted a cigarette, very bored he was, he started thinking of stuff to do, but nothing really felt like FUN"

well, let's look over to the words i wrote..

car ... he decided to .. get his car and go somewhere, but where? oh yeah, phone, he called a friend and decided to go .. shopping? no that's just too .. cliche! so how about ... doing an .. exotic .. hobby! how about going diving! yup, he'll call a friend and go diving.

so the next sentence i'll write is "an idea passed his mind, something that finally looked like his idea of fun, going diving! he glimpsed his phone on the shelf and decided to call a friend"

That is good but... in my case I am re-write into Korean to English...

Story is already set just problem of treanslating into English...

Also, setting is Korea... I have to make non-Korean people to understand some of setting and name and stuff...

So story line it self isn't problem...

Well I love writting... but, I just don't like to re-write about it... --;

Well I do start new story(not a BL) that do had to stop also...

It is not easy for me to cut up from everything...

If I live by myself it will work... but, with little kids(my sister's childern) running around...

Also have to do house work... it just too much... --;

May be my problem isn't the I don't have urge...

It is what you had said... all the distracting around me is the problem...

Only problem here is... nothing I can do about it...

Well if I move out it will work... but, now I just can't do that...

So... I just had to do bit and bit at a time...

But, that isn't good... writting also had that flow...

with out it... it jus to hard...

hmm, well, i'm no expert in that, but, i do re-writing too, i mean not translating, but, re-writing, you know when i write, i don't write the story dierctly on my laptop, but i write it on paper, and when i copy it to my pc, i sit down in my room, clear my mind and re-write, and while doing that i try to work on the flaws, i hope this helps ^^"

oh, hun, i know it's hard, but if you can't move out just get away from the house, go somewhere else to get some piece of mind, and try to work on moving out too, cos that's a serious problem if you can't really focus on writing, you'll make a lot of mistakes.

and, about that distraction problem, i've got that too, my sis jumping around me all the time, what i do to get some quiet and a time for writing is going to my room and locking it, or to like, go somewhere outta the house, a coffe shop or a library, it works just fine for me, and i jope it works for you

oh, hun, i know it's hard, but if you can't move out just get away from the house, go somewhere else to get some piece of mind, and try to work on moving out too, cos that's a serious problem if you can't really focus on writing, you'll make a lot of mistakes.

I just can't move out right now so I just have to find other way...

I though about library... but, I alway work in my laptop...

I just don't want to take my laptop to any where...

I did had acciden before had to replace the screen once...

So it will be best I could just work at home...

But, I can't do that... because I do have to help around the house...

Also, I don't have a lock on my door... --;

 

I have problem with my hand so it is hard for me to write in paper...

Even typing I have to slow down...

So I just don't have much chose... but, had to do my best with what I have... ^^;;;

But, I do get your point... so I will try something to change about it...

May be work on night or early in the morning... or so... ^^;;;

Only problem is do I feel like write in that time zone... --

 

Well re-writting I do that too... if I had to...

But, re-writting and translate and re-write is a lot different...

fresh start and just re-write is much easy to do...

Translate what you have and some time had to change little but not to much...

That is one reason I do admire people who work in translated...

 

Well I just yell at my niece... can I really make it... --;;
