The sky was becoming darker as the hours ticked away mercilessly, however the clouds didn’t change, being the same small balls of fluff hanging up there without a care in the world. The streets started to become busier as it was a Friday evening. Both students as well as people with a job filled up the streets easily. Some doing some last minute shopping while others started to decide where they should go eat dinner or in search of a good bar where they could cool off with a nice glass of beer. Refreshing. The laughter resounding clearly by some youngsters who were having the time of their lives, probably going to a party at this time which would end late.

 

In one of the busiest streets was a popular noodle shop present called Break. It was a simple and meaningful name as mostly those who were on a break stopped by and enjoy the delicious taste of the dishes present. The interior however had a particular theme which was kawaii. Decorated by the employees consisting of mainly females so of course they won the competition. Also the fact that they were near an all-girls school was one of the reasons as to why the owner didn’t make any alternations afterwards. Also despite the appearance of the place, both genders came inside, both tough and cute, delinquents and elementary students. It was well liked because of the food and that was the most important thing.

 

To be honest, despite the cute theme, the interior was more to the modern side. Using mainly white and some pastel colours here and there which made everyone happy. Though the pillows and such were pretty eye catching as some looked like the face of a panda or ice cream.

 

The owner of that shop was called Ryuto Kawakatsu. His appearance didn’t match with that of the shop but nobody really cared about that. He build its reputation from scratch three years ago and due to the help of some people, it became a success. He didn’t know if he could make it since his previous profession was nothing like it. The job of a mercenary was stressful, dangerous and a constant threat of his life. However he liked the thrill in the beginning and he earned quite some money with it. However when people started to turn worse and worse, he saw the evil intentions within a blink of an eye. Eventually, those with an actual justified goal disappeared and he was left with those who thought they could do anything if they had money and power. He quit at the age of 24 as he had gotten tired of it, wanting to see actual smiles instead of dead corpses laying on the ground.

 

Anyway, it was about to be dinner time and the employees readied themselves for a rush of people. Luckily they had enough hands to help today as everyone was present. Ryuto was a multitasker in his shop, helping where it was needed, it was never the same old routine for him which he liked best. However it seemed like there were less people than expected, most probably enjoying the nice weather outside and going for street food instead of eating somewhere inside. Sitting down on a chair at the counter, drinking a coke as he wasn’t allowed to drink alcohol, just like the rest who worked here.
