Moving to Japan was a mistake. Even though it had only been a few weeks, Jun was going to go ahead and say it. Moving to Japan was a mistake. Leaving everything behind wasn’t the problem, he had been all for that, but.. did they really have to move to another country in order to do that? How about just moving to the other side of town or just another town all together? Why did they have to leave England? When Jun had asked his mother about this, she had just answered that it was because their family was there. The only family they had left was in Japan. That’s why they had to move there. At the time it didn’t sound all too bad, but now...

It didn’t really matter anyway. Even if Jun had known back then that he would come to hate it here, he wasn’t so sure he would feel better about the alternative. That being said, he still wasn’t going to tolerate certain living conditions here. Which was why he was walking aimlessly at this late hour even though his first day at school was starting tomorrow.

Wait, no... That was a lie. He wasn’t walking aimlessly. He was looking for something. An escape. Where was the perfect place to escape his problems? It was easier to find in England. He knew exactly where all those places were located in his hometown, but here. What did it even look like? What were the kanji, hiragana or even katakana for a place like that? Or did they by any chance write those characters in English?

Jun’s Japanese wasn’t the best. He knew some sentences, sure, but before he came here he never practised it. Kanji was the worse, the grammar was the worse, everything... Well, it could be just because Jun was such in a bad mood right now that he just couldn’t help but to think that everything about Japan was the worse. There had been a time where he wanted to learn more about the other half of his family, but...

A bar. He wanted to find a bar and really quickly too. He wanted to forget everything about what happened and just let his problems go even if it only lasted for one night. He had a bad taste in his mouth and he desperately wanted to get rid of it, so what better way to do it with than with the sweet taste of alcohol? If he could just find something he recognized, something...

Just as he thought that, he noticed something by the corner of his eye. There was a sign, just above the entrance of a squeezed in building.. and there was the word bar on it. Jun didn’t hesitate about it. He walked right up to the entrance, but was cautious about walking in at first. He just wanted to make sure he had hit the right place for him so that he didn’t accidentally walk into a sushi bar. But it appeared to be the right place. There was a mixed crowd. Of course there were business men there, Jun pretty much expected there to be, but there were also a couple of young people in there.

He figured with his looks he probably wouldn’t fit well together in such a crowd, but by the look of things Jun probably wouldn’t stand out too much in here. He didn’t look Japanese, even with only half of it in his blood he very much looked like an English man. The only thing he had inherited from his mother was his dark brown eyes and his black hair. The rest of his tall and skinny body all came from his father, which was probably why his mother resented him a little bit. Jun had tried to change the fact that he looked so much like his father by going the total opposite with his looks. Shaving half his hair off and leaving the rest of it in a short mess that made him look younger than he actually was. The piercing by the corner of his lower lip and the one in his eyebrow was also just statements that he didn’t want to look like his father.. And well, he couldn’t deny that he looked good with them.

Jun walked into the bar and was glad that he at least knew how to order a drink without looking like a complete idiot, even though his pronunciation needed work. Eventually he finally got what he wanted and he didn’t hesitate before gulping it down in one fell swoop before ordering another one. It felt good to occupy himself with something that include thinking too much. However, after having a few of them, he understood that the alcohol wasn’t working as well as he thought it would. He still couldn’t wash away that bad taste in his mouth.

The day started pretty good for once, a nice change of things as recently he’d been only having bad luck. The weather was good, the sun shining brightly, warming everything up in just an hour once it got from behind the clouds. The sky even more blue, a nice colour to look at. He could have just stared up the whole day without getting bored of it even once. The birds were singing their songs, he even saw some ducks passing him when he was on his way to the school building. They probably had a small house near the pond of the campus which was the reason why they walked around so freely without being actually scared of the people walking around there.

His class went pretty well too, the lessons weren’t too boring for once as the teachers actually put some effort into making it amusing so the time would go by faster. Perhaps due to the good weather outside and they didn’t feel like being the jerk of the day. It was interesting on how someone’s mood could improve with just something simple as that. If only it would be like this throughout the whole year, his life could’ve gone that much better. More relaxed.

Once classes ended, he noticed that he still had still some spare time on his hands before he would need to go to his part-time job a bit further away from the campus. It couldn’t have been better since he didn’t need to get a card for public transport just so he could get there. Now he just had to walk in a reasonable pace without having the fear of being late. It was truly a gift that he couldn’t reject, all thanks to one of the people in his friend cycle. They helped each other out and had a laugh together without a care in the world. They didn’t want to think about the bad things as they didn’t want to ruin the mood but of course sometimes it couldn’t be avoided.

Taking his time as he walked towards the cake shop, having a talk with some people of the same class since they started talking to him in the first place. For some reason he was pretty popular at the school despite having done nothing noteworthy. His looks perhaps? Easy-going nature? Or was it when he played his guitar though normally only his class should know about it. Ah, but they did practice outside once when the weather was good like now and it did attract quite a crowd. Humming to himself as he honestly didn’t know.

Before he even realized it, he already arrived at the shop. Only having to put on a pink apron which amusingly fitted his hair as it was pink as well. His hair was already tied up as usual. Putting down his backpack in his locker before going to the front where customers were already waiting for their orders to be taken. The odd thing was that some of them specially requested for him to take theirs. He didn’t mind so he did as they asked with a sweet smile on his lips. His shift ended in a blink of the eye due to the stream of customers, not even being able to have a fifteen minute break during those hours.

Letting out a deep sigh once the shop was closed up, taking his backpack and leaving his apron before saying his goodbyes to his colleagues. Going out via the back which wasn’t too far from his beloved bar, visiting it once in a while when he felt like it or had the time for it. Arriving in just a matter of time, greeting the owner he had gotten to know since the time he got into this university. “One beer please. Keep it a secret.” He ordered, winking playfully towards the man who just rolled his eyes. Drinking alcohol wasn’t allowed to those under the 20 years old but it could be overlooked once in a while. “I’m an adult next month so it’s not that big of a deal.” He muttered under his breath.

It didn’t matter how many drinks he was getting into his system. It still didn’t do what he wanted them to do. That was the problem with being used to drinking, it took longer for the brain to just shut down. He did the order correctly, right? He hadn’t just accidentally gotten the non-alcoholic drink, had he? Jun brought the glass towards his lips and took his time to really sense whether or not it was the right thing he had ordered. Yes. He could taste that bitter aftertaste the alcohol was leaving in his mouth. It stung his throat as it worked its way down and it did sent tingles into his head. It was real alcohol and it was doing something... it just wasn’t doing it as fast as Jun wanted. How irritating.

How long would he be sitting here for then? Well.. He had been planning to be sitting here all night since he clearly didn’t want to go home. So why had he just asked that question? What had he really wanted to do this night? It was just to drink, right. It wasn’t like he was planning to crash somewhere and using the alcohol as an excuse for that. No... he just wanted to forget and to not think. That was all he wanted to do this night.

Just as he made that thing clear in his head something by the corner of his eyes caught his attention. A bit of colour had just entered the picture and Jun lazily turned his head towards the entrance just to see what it was. He really hadn’t expected that his gaze would linger on the person that had just entered the bar. He was pretty. Dazzling even as his pink hair bounced in the ponytail while he waved his greetings towards the bartender. He looked like a regular since he was acting pretty comfortable in a place like this, but Jun probably shouldn’t judge only by that. A sweet smile played on the person’s lips as he winked playfully after his order, showing off a cute personality to all of those around him. Just by looking at him, Jun probably wouldn’t have guessed that such cute gestures would be coming out from a man like that, even with such pink hair. However, he couldn’t deny that he still thought it was cute. This time it wasn’t the alcohol that made his body tingle.

Jun had come here tonight because he wanted the bad taste in his mouth to disappear. He glanced down towards his drink and only now realized that bitter alcohol probably wasn’t the best alternative for doing such a thing. No.. perhaps he needed something sweeter. His dark brown eyes glanced back towards the man who was still dazzling all by himself by the counter. Should he go for it? That question barely entered his mind before he had gotten up from his seat, glass in his hand and walked up towards the cute man. He put on one of his own smiles, which was anything but cute and more charming or mischievous before he put one of his slender hands on the other’s shoulder as he sat down on the seat beside him.

“Such a cute person as yourself shouldn’t be out drinking by themselves.”

He said, trying his best not to sound like a creep. His voice was soft with a raspy undertone and it wasn’t too deep and not too high either. He had hypnotized many people with that voice of his. However, as he had gathered up the courage to talk to the other like that, he had completely forgotten about the different in language and he had just said all that in English. Jun let out a soft chuckle at his own stupidity before he gave out a sigh.

“Silly me. You probably don’t understand while I’m speaking English.”

He said, however still certain that he could save the situation he let go of the other’s shoulder so he could lean his outstanding cheekbone against his knuckles. As he looked towards the other, he managed to get something admiring in his eyes without much effort and he observed him for a short moment before he mustered up more courage to say another word to him. This time he was going to say it in Japanese, just to be on the safe side.

“Cute.”

Yuuto sat down more comfortably, tapping against the wooden counter as he waited for the bartender to get his drink. But since he wasn’t the first to order, he had to wait for his turn. It was quite full this time so it was only normal that he couldn’t get what he wanted within a few seconds. Perhaps he should’ve come here later when there were less people. Humming softly to himself as he agreed with the idea but since he was already here, it would be rude to just go out again, after all he ordered a drink already.

Perhaps the day had been too good when he felt an arm wrapping around his shoulder, raising an eyebrow at the sudden touch. A stranger sitting down besides him who started talking in English, making Yuuto even more suspicious about the male. Getting ready if there was about to be a fight, though that was probably the worst case scenario at the moment as they guy didn’t seem to want to do any harm. Letting his eyes focus a bit more on the details of the male’s appearance. Jet black hair that was taken care of nicely but shaved at one side; a piercing on his lip shining under the light of the bar, matching nicely with the one on his eyebrow.

Yuuto himself was wearing a white V-neck shirt together with a necklace [feather shaped], jeans and black/white sneakers which was the most comfortable to wear on days like these. Also he put in some hairpins in his hair which helped to stay out of his eyes. A lot of people recommended it to him so he did it once in a while just to make them stop nagging about it. It was better to do just that then they were going to threaten to cut of his hair. The girls however were enjoying themselves completely as they liked to style his hair in all different ways. He gave up with struggling after a month as they just didn’t stop asking about it, he was seen as their ‘model’ because his hair was so soft and addicting to touch.

Anyway back to the present.

He did notice that his tone of voice was a bit lower than the stranger which was amusing. Feeling relieved though when the guy pulled his arm away again since it started to bother him quite a bit. Yet instead of just turning his back, he decided to listen to what the male had to say. His eye twitched when he was being called cute out of nowhere. “Are you an idiot or something?” He blurted out without even having thought about it, it just came out without a warning. Scraping his throat as he rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“Also I do understand English.” He commented, flicking the other’s forehead with two fingers. “You shouldn’t do that to strangers here or you might be seen as a pervert or weirdo.” He explained in all earnest, taking out his English so the other could understand him without too much trouble. Just then his beer arrived, taking a sip from it which made his mood go better again. “From where are you in the first place? I haven’t seen you around here before. Did you transfer to another school?” He asked out of mere curiosity.

Jun hadn’t expected to be flicked in the head. Shoved perhaps, ignored for sure, but flicked? That thought never crossed his mind and his surprise showed on his face. However he regained his composure shortly after that and rubbed the spot on his forehead. It had stung a little, but it still wasn’t enough for him to get out of the mood he currently was in. He didn’t really care that the other called him an idiot, should he really care what a stranger he might never see again thought of him? Probably not so he could call him whatever he wanted, he still wouldn’t defend himself since... Yeah, he pretty much was an idiot.

The thing he wanted to comment on came right after that. The fact that the man actually did understand English. He wanted to give him a teasing smile and say something that he figured that from the start, however he was more likely to talk to him if he offended him first. Although, that thought was rejected by the flicking on his forehead and even though he had his composure back, he didn’t think he could say something like that now. Instead he just mumbled to himself.

“My mistake..”

After that comment, the scolding began if you could call it that. The other made the point that he probably shouldn’t creep up on people like that since it would very much make him look like a perverted weirdo. Not that it would differ much from the truth, which was why Jun didn’t really see the problem in that. Once in a while he came across someone who was actually in to that.

”Thanks for setting me straight. I never would’ve figured that one out by myself.”

He said in a sarcastic tone as he took another sip of his drink. He probably was unfair to the other, he was after all just looking after him. Or was he? Well, Jun chose to believe that so just to make up for it he decided to say something different that was not meant to be sarcastic.

“Is there something wrong with calling someone cute when it’s true?”

He said, knowing full well that it probably wasn’t just that that was the problem. However, he still said it more honestly this time. Not part of a pick-up line or anything like that and as he turned his head to look at the other he gave him a soft smile to compensate for it all.

After he had just been scolded and flicked on he didn’t really think the other would stay for long. He figured that after he had told him not to do such a thing again he would walk off to another seat or just try his hardest to ignore him, but... again he was surprised when he other started asking him questions. Was he actually curious about him? Jun couldn’t really tell if he just asked that because he was bored and wanted some entertainment or if he was curious to know more about the man who had just laid a finger on him. Either way it didn’t really matter.

What did matter was the question that followed. What should he tell him? Should he just tell him honestly that he was forced to move here from England and that tomorrow he was going to start his classes in a university which was said to be great for musicians? You know, telling his whole life story, or even just half of it to a perfect stranger he had no plans on seeing after this encounter probably wasn’t the smartest idea. Therefore, he wasn’t going to drag it out further.

“In the first place... I’m from Britain originally. I’m starting out a new life tomorrow so I figured I should have a little fun before I say goodbye to the old one.”

He answered with a playful smile on his face before he emptied his glass one more time, further demonstrating what kind of fun he had in mind. He let out a satisfied breath before ordering another one and only then did he turn back towards the pink haired stranger. As his head slowly started to process everything that the other had said there was a thought that had popped up. Now that he was aware of that thought it didn’t stop nagging at him at the back of his head. Should he ask about it? Was it too late to bring it up from the context? Was Jun the only one who thought about that? Most likely.

“Also... if not here, then where is the best place to do that to a stranger?”

Jun asked, putting on a serious face for once as he couldn’t help but to observe the stranger in front of him. Tilting his head to the side as he took in every detail of the other. He hadn’t noticed the hairpins in his hair before. Nor had he really taken a note of what the other was wearing, but he must admit that all of it seemed to suit the other. Jun himself was going with an all black look to better melt into the shadows if he had wanted to. A black tank top under his knee long coat that looked more expensive than it actually was. A pair of tightly fitted jeans where the edge disappeared into his dark boots... The tingling had started up again as he continued to observe the man until his eyes found the other’s again.

“Is there somewhere that won’t be received as an act of weirdness or perversion?”

As he asked that question, he gently and slowly leaned forward ever so slightly. Just to get a little closer to the other in an attempt to tap on that barrier every person carried around them. Even if it was just a little, Jun wouldn’t mind it.... or so he thought.

Yuuto hummed as he listened to the other, not thinking that his apologies were from the heart, but it was the thought that counted. He wasn’t going to get into a discussion after working, he seriously didn’t feel like doing that so he went with a friendlier detour, he probably wouldn’t have to see the other guy anymore after this so better put up with it for now. Leaning his body a bit more against the counter to make himself more comfortable.

Not responding too much about the question of being cute, he wasn’t really angry about it but he just didn’t want to be called that outside of school for some reason. It was weird but that was how he felt about it. He never looked back to the person who called him so on the streets, just walking past them as if he didn’t hear anything. Perhaps it was because of his hair colour after all, wondering if he should just die it in a more ‘manly’ colour. But since he had gotten used to this, it would feel weird to see a different image of himself while he liked this one. Therefore he didn’t change it.

At the vague reply as to how he got here, Yuuto merely hummed in response. It wasn’t much but it was interesting to hear that the guy was from Britain. He hadn’t been there yet but wanted to go at least once in his life to see the main attractions of London. Their fashion was something, less weird than Japan which was a nice change of pace.

Taking a gulp from his beer, feeling the alcohol sliding through his throat, refreshing him in an instant as if his worries were washed away with it. However at the following he didn’t know how to actually respond. How the hell would he know where was a good place to do a stranger. Feeling a headache already coming up by the questions being asked to him. As if he had to explain everything to a toddler from the embarrassing stuff to the general knowledge. But then again, the male wasn’t used to the culture of Japan so it was only normal to have different opinions about things.

“I guess you could go to the red light district a few blocks away from here. You can find a bit of everything there.” He responded with a light shrug as he didn’t know too much about it, he had a lover to do that with in the past, well ex-lovers now. He never managed to keep up with a relationship as they only got together with him due to his popularity. Therefore he had given up in finding someone he could actually love without being used as an object. He had gotten tired of the ritual and therefore stopped looking for someone altogether. If there was someone who would like him for the way he was and not because of how he looked like. And this guy absolutely didn’t seem like the one in his eyes.

Taking his glass, drinking everything in one go before paying for it. Then he turned back to the stranger with a cheeky smile on his face. “Have fun with… this.” He said, gesturing towards the beer and the guy himself before standing up from his seat. “Ah, don’t call me cute, it’s annoying.” He commented before making his way to the exit.

Was he actually taking his question seriously? Not only that, but did he really interpret it as a request to find a place where he could... Was he stupid, joking or was it just a misunderstanding because of the difference in language? Jun couldn’t quite tell. All he could tell was that he really hadn’t expected an answer like that. Once again he expected to be shoved away again because he was acting more and more like a creep towards him, but... no. The other never laid a hand on him, much less spared so much as a glance towards him. It was clear that he wasn’t at all interested in what he did or what he said. Quite the opposite from what Jun was used to. To say that it wasn’t refreshing was both a lie and truth... Jun didn’t like to be ignored like this. Not while his interest was still peeked by the other.

From the moment he had come in through the door, he seemed to have this way about him. Jun had called him dazzling in his head since he had that sweet smile on his lips while he had also winked at the bartender. Jun had thought that he would be an easy one to charm, which was why he had put on this act and throwing him smiles which he was certain the other one would catch. However, it wasn’t just that either. Who walks into a bar like this and just orders one drink and then walks away? Didn’t you usually come to a place like this for something more? It doesn’t necessarily needs to be sex or anything like that, but at least a couple of drinks and a good company. However, this man didn’t seem to be interested in none of that.

The thought that Jun was actually driving the other away never crossed his mind. It was way too fuzzy to understand the concept that the foreign English man could be the reason the other was in such a rush to finish his glass and get out of there. However, not before acknowledging the stranger one last time. Have fun with this. Jun glanced towards the glass he was referring to, before his gaze landed on the other once again. He thought that would be the end of it. He would never see this man again and he was going to find someone else to make him forget about his life, the night was young he could still do that.... But... The man continued. The next words he said made a frustrated fire burn inside of Jun.

Don’t call me cute, it’s annoying. Was he serious? A man with pink hair, cheery attitude and a sweet smile like that... Didn’t like to be called cute? If that were the case he should seriously think about changing.. well, everything about him. Jun was annoyed, irritated as he watched the other stand up from his seat and go for the exit. The man had insulted him by ignoring everything he had said so far, hummed while he had tried to have a conversation with him and now he even told him to not call him something he so obviously was. To Jun it was like he had wanted him to stop calling him Japanese. And he still had that bad taste in his mouth!

Jun had been fine with leaving it the way it was if he hadn’t told him that, but... now when those words had been uttered, he just couldn’t let him leave like this. He just couldn’t let the other think he had won this round and put Jun in his place. Before the other had time to leave the bar, Jun rose from his chair, paid his bill and rushed after the other. He took a firm grip around his wrist and pulled him closer against him as he wrapped an arm around him to further enable the other to struggle against his grip. Despite Jun’s thin physique he was really strong and had no trouble pinning another person down if he wanted to. His dark eyes spoke of everything he was feeling at the moment, which was anything besides happy. The hand that wasn’t busy with gripping his wrist worked its way towards the other’s head in an attempt to angle it the way he wanted so that they would look straight into each other’s eyes.

“If you don’t want people to call you cute, you shouldn’t act that way.”

Jun said with the anger clearly noticeable in his voice. He didn’t give the other a chance to respond to that however before he leaned closer and forced their lips together. His grip around him tightened so that he couldn’t struggle away from it and it made the kiss last for how long Jun wanted it to. Even though he had forced it, he didn’t want the kiss to be anything but gentle. He had softly pressed his lips against the other’s and he didn’t want to go further than that. This was just a small taste between strangers after all. The kiss didn’t last that long, he could’ve hold it for longer, but chose not to. However, right before their lips parted Jun made a point to suck on the stranger’s lower lip before he finally let go.

“Thank you, for the sweet taste.”

Jun said with a mischievous smile on his lips. Right after that he let him go and tried to be quick with slipping out of the bar before the man gave his response to the things Jun had just done to him.

Just as he thought he could get rid of the other, he heard footsteps quickening into his direction which made him go on alert at once. Making him think that he shouldn’t have started talking to that guy and just let him alone with his drink. He should’ve gone to another empty seat instead or make a conversation with the bartender instead. Feeling regret that he hadn’t done either of those came welling up inside of him as he now knew he still was about to get into trouble. About to quicken his pace as well but he reacted too late and was held back by the stranger whose name he still didn’t know.

Being taken by the wrist, a pretty strong grip which he couldn’t get out of so easily unless he actually made an effort to do so. His dark golden eyes narrowing themselves, glaring towards the other as if it was going to kill the guy in an instant. Gritting his teeth as he tried to keep himself calm but that wasn’t working as he already got annoyed by the male’s stupid actions as if the guy could do anything without being punished for it. So annoying… He thought to himself, carefully watching every movement as he expected to get hit. Well, that would’ve been the easy way out, he just had to make sure it wouldn’t make a bruise on his face which would raise questions at his school.

The comment that was said next made his eye twitch as he didn’t know why he deserved this kind of treatment while it was the guy who started it. The only difference was that now the stranger didn’t have his cheesy voice on but a more anger-fuelled one. As he got ready for impact, he was completely taken aback as he felt the guy’s lips on his as this wasn’t within his calculations, not in the slightest. Though he could’ve predicted it by the behaviour earlier. Receiving a mental slap in the face instead which was worse.

Another hand made him stay close to the male therefore he just let the other do as he pleased for now. The desire to just make the guy suffer for this raising by the second as he didn’t like to be forced into things, especially without his consent. The kiss however was gentle instead of rough which made him wonder why. But he wasn’t going to ask since they would just part ways after this, hopefully to never see each other again but he had a bad feeling about that. He did hear about a transfer student going to the university he was in who came from overseas but it could be anybody… right?

Once he was let go off after the guy had his little bit of fun. He looked towards the ground for a second before slowly raising his eyes up again, seeing the male step a foot outside of the door, he got after him fast. Once outside, Yuuto spoke up: “Aaah… You seriously ruined my day so it’s your fault I’m doing this now.” His voice sounded pretty serious as he placed his hand on the male’s shoulder so he was standing in front of the stranger again. Swinging his fist with quite some strength behind it right in the other’s guts.

“We’re even now.” He commented, his face clearly showed signs of being pissed off. With that, he walked off, ignoring the stares he received for punching someone yet nobody said anything to him as they didn’t want to get into trouble themselves. Within seconds, he got mixed in the crowd and made his way back to campus which wasn’t too far from where he was situated.

He wasn’t fast enough. Jun had hoped just to slip passed the other and then flee the scenery before the guy had any time to react on that kiss he had just given him, but... He hadn’t been fast enough. Soon enough he could hear the guy behind him say something about ruining his day and after that he was grabbed by the shoulder and a flash went through his mind. He couldn’t say he didn’t deserve it. He had expected a reaction like that after all, but... He didn’t think he would go for his gut. Also, the other had been much stronger than he had anticipated. The pain came afterwards and Jun tried to keep himself straight as long as the other was still within his vision, just to keep up a certain pride about it all. However, as soon as the other left he doubled over and gritted his teeth for the pain.

He felt like throwing up.. But he tried his best to ignore that feeling as that would only make that sweet taste in his mouth be replaced by something bad again. Then everything he had done had been for nothing and this pain he was feeling now wouldn’t have been worth it for that. So, was it worth it? Just for a small taste, was it worth getting punched like this by a total stranger? ... Yes. Yes it was. Didn’t that say a lot about how pathetic Jun actually was?

As soon as he recovered enough to be able to walk without thinking about throwing up he started to head out of there. He didn’t return home. It was still too early for that. He actually was thinking about taking the other’s advice and head towards the red light district, but.. For now he held back on that thought. Instead he just wandered the streets. Taking a long walk of shame as the night hadn’t turned out quite as he hoped it to... How did things turn out like this? Why was he doing this to himself?

He didn’t get any sleep at all that night. It wasn’t until the sun started to show its first sunshine that he started to head back home and he knew that some part of the day he would regret that decision. It was his first day of school after all. Not that he was worried about the impression he might’ve given, he didn’t really care about that. However, he did care about his education and since he had heard it was a good school, he wanted to do his best in class. Well, it was just the first day. He was allowed to screw up on the first day right?

Considering how much he had been screwing up in the past he shouldn’t be allowed even that. However, he had a feeling that this time things would be different. This time, it would be different. This time he wasn’t going to have friends. He wasn’t going to have a social life. This time, he would be completely free from interactions. He was going to make sure of that. No more distractions or mistakes. This time he was going to be completely alone together with his music. That was the goal he set for himself the minute he stepped foot on the campus.

He followed the corridor towards the classroom where he was going to start the day in. Since the school didn’t have any dress code he had gone for his own look with a black t-shirt, black, tight jeans and a white unbuttoned shirt. A long necklace was bouncing over his chest as he walked, making that sweet sound of metal against metal. He didn’t bother taking out his piercings just so he could appear more “normal”. His foreign heritage already ruined that for him and also, he didn’t care what the others might think of him. He had already made it clear that he wasn’t going to have friends this time around. Why bother change his appearance to make himself more approachable?

It took him a moment to find the right room, but once he did he opened the door and stepped inside. Jun didn’t look up from the floor as he made his way inside, only glancing up to find a right spot to sit. He chose a row that was empty and further back from the board and once he sat down, he wore an expression that told everyone to fuck off. Hopefully with that, no one would bother him and he could continue this day in peace.

However, just as at that moment he noticed some colour by the corner of his eye. A bit of colour he recognized from yesterday and... No way. Just.. No way! It was the stranger from last night. The one he kissed at the bar and then got punched in the gut for it! What was he doing here? He wasn't supposed to be here. Jun tried to hide his surprised face by turning away immediately, hoping the other hadn't noticed him yet and just wouldn't for the rest of the semester... Yeah, there was no way Jun could hide from him for that long.

Giving away an internal sigh, a mighty pissed off expression returned to his face as the class was about to start. Considering what incredibly bad luck he was having lately he found himself glad that he at least didn't trip on his way here and made an even bigger fool out of himself. Although, he should've savoured that happiness since as the class begun he realized he probably should've payed more attention when his relatives tried to teach him Japanese... He wasn't going to understand much of what was being said on this first day... This sucked.

As he had the feeling that the guy wouldn’t follow him anymore after that punch, he could feel himself relaxing again. Wondering as to what he had gotten himself into again but since they weren’t supposed to meet each other again, he didn’t mind it too much. It would only give him a headache if he did. Clearing his mind as he walked back to the campus which wasn’t too far from where he was situated, taking his time as he didn’t particularly have to hurry up anymore since the worst had already happened. Honestly, he didn’t need much more of that bullshit for the day.

The campus was calm, not too many people around who were making too much noise so people could study or just have a nice time in their room without being annoyed. Moving up towards his room in the dormitory, closing the door behind him before plopping down on his bed. Spreading his whole body out as he looked up to the ceiling, being able to hear some music silently playing from the floor above him. It happened from time to time but the music was nice so he didn’t complain about it. Well, others did complain since the walls weren’t really thin so it must be playing pretty loud on the other floor. The only time when it wouldn’t play was the time for exams, becoming silent for weeks or even two months one time. It usually stopped around 11pm anyway just so they wouldn’t get more complaints.

His body was feeling heavy, more than he thought he would. Perhaps due to the fact that he had been working and going to school today, yesterday he had to rush everything because he just didn’t have enough time to get around, eventually only getting back to the dormitory at 1am. Without even having the strength to move on, he fell asleep on the spot, his roommate closing the lights once he got back without making too much sound. A pissed Yuuto wasn’t exactly fun to see.

The next morning, he was woken up by the alarm on his cell phone. Opening one eye to see the time, only to groan as he had morning classes today. His roommate didn’t wake up from it however which was pretty interesting. Though the guy didn’t have anything to do today so he didn’t have to wake the male up anyway. Yawning deeply as he stretched out his arms. Ruffling through his hair that had gotten loose during the night. Shuffling towards the bathroom with a change of clothes, freshening himself up by taking a quick shower. It seriously made him feel better, the new outfit he got to wear smelled better than the booze smell.

His hair being tied up again, this time in a simple low ponytail as he didn’t feel like putting much effort into it. Wearing some sneakers, shorts, shirt and some other trivial stuff that he put together in a hurry. With that, he went downstairs to get himself some breakfast for the go. Preparing a sandwich with strawberry jam before going out of the building and up to the place where his first class would take place. The sun was shining again, still a bit chilly as it was still morning, but he knew that it was going to get hot during the day. It only needed some time.

It seemed like not many people had morning classes as the campus was now pretty silent. Only some people could be spotted here and there, most of them having small bags under their eyes due to the lack of sleep. Yuuto was the same as he felt like he didn’t sleep long enough. However he tried to ignore the feeling and got inside of the main building, making his way to the respective classroom. Sitting down on one of the empty seats, his eyes still adjusting to the bright light inside.

People soon followed after him, but one person in particular pulled his attention in a bad way. Raising an eyebrow as he looked at the other out of surprise, not having expected the male to be in this exact university. Honestly, it seemed that luck wasn’t on his side for a period of time. “Yuuto? What’s wrong? Something happened?” Emi asked him [a female friend of his] with curiosity. ”Ah… nothing much really. Just gotten into an argument with him. Nothing too bad.” He reassured her which made her hum in response, not believing much of what he said.

  • 2 weeks later...

Jun couldn’t concentrate. It wasn’t just that the class was in a language he didn’t fully understand, but it didn’t really help that he was constantly distracted by the guy he had kissed the previous night. That guy was just supposed to be someone he met in a bar. He was supposed to be nobody so why the hell did he appear to be his classmate? What are the odds of that? The odds would’ve been more likely if he just went to the same school and that would’ve made it easier to avoid him too, but no. He had to be his classmate. If Jun’s luck really was that bad, the world would probably pair them up in an assignment too and they would have no choice but to interact with each other again, which was something that Jun really didn’t want to do. He had already made the promise to himself that he wasn’t going to talk to anyone in the school, let alone in the same class... However, the damage was already done.

Jun had already interacted with him once... Sure, it was in a bar and he was pretty drunk, but the circumstances didn’t matter. He had already talked to him... Well, more than talked to him, which was why he couldn’t help but to wonder what the guy was feeling right now. Was he as pissed off as Jun was? He wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that he was even angrier than that since it had been him that had been violated by a stranger that happened to be his classmate. Did he think Jun would try something like that again now that they saw each other again?

Jun couldn’t help that he glanced over at the other to try and understand what exactly he was feeling, but from where he was sitting, it wasn’t that easy. Also he would probably hide his feelings better since they were pretty much very exposed in here. Had he told anyone about what happened? Jun wasn’t sure if he could picture it. Did guys in Japan really tell stuff like that to their friends? The guy probably had nothing to be embarrassed about since he could defend himself pretty well by himself, but that was also a reason not to tell anyone.

Jun wasn’t really worried if he did tell someone in their class. He didn’t care if he got the reputation as a pervert or a weirdo.. That would just make it easier to his promise of not getting any friends here. Also, it was nothing more than he deserved, but... If it dragged down the pink-haired guy with him... Jun didn’t want that. He really didn’t want history to repeat itself just because he happened to be in a bad mood the first time they met. No, he couldn’t just keep ignoring this problem. Therefore, he made the decision to talk to him again.

Once the class ended, Jun looked over towards the other guy. Would he even talk to Jun again? Would he listen to him, or would he start to avoid him? He wasn’t sure what he preferred actually, but he couldn’t just stand here and wait for the other’s response. Jun took a deep breath of courage and before his thoughts could keep up with him he walked over to the other. The closer he got, the more his nerves was acting up. Once he was in front of him he hoped to God that he wouldn’t stutter and that his voice would hold up.

“Hey, do you have a minute? Can I talk to you alone?”

So, not that he had asked that question, all he had to do was wait for a response, right? Shouldn’t his nerves go down right now and he should relax since.. the hard part is over right? But no. His nerves didn’t calm down, they just got even worse. Did he even remember him? What if he didn’t? What if he just made everything worse by talking to him again? Why did all these thoughts only appear after he had done something?

Yuuto followed the lessons like every day, paying attention to only the most important parts as the others were just too boring. Letting out a sigh as he looked at the piece of paper in front of him were words and numbers were scribbled down so he could easily remember what had been told during the lesson without having to scramble everything together. The mere thought of having to go through all that extra work was already tiring as he saw himself clearly that way. Rubbing the back of his neck as he felt a bit stiff as he hadn’t slept long enough as his mind was occupied by the dude who randomly annoyed him just because he looked a bit cute. Seriously hating it to the point of having a lack of sleep. But now, that person just had to be in the same classroom as well as if faith just wanted to fuck them up.

Eventually, the ending of the lesson period arrived and Yuuto was about to taste his moment of freedom again but he was interrupted. Light brown eyes going towards the person in question, his mood seemingly dropping as he saw who it was of all the people. Sighing deeply as he complied with the request of the other. “I’ll see you guys later.” He told the girl who just nodded lightly before exiting the room before him. Wanting her time of peace as well, not letting it pass by for a squabble she didn’t have anything to do with.

Leading the other the way as he guessed the guy probably didn’t know his way around seeing that he only transferred here today. Honestly, his luck was certainly showing up these days. Did he do something wrong to scare it away or had he used all of it already? Stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jacket as he walked through the hallways and to the courtyard where a lot of people were hanging around who didn’t have any lessons. Having a good time with their friends as they enjoyed the good weather and some juice to go with it.

“So what did you want to talk about?” He asked curtly, not really liking the other’s presence as he wanted to forget about last evening. Leaning against the wall behind him, letting himself rest for a while since he wasn’t going to get any of his break from what it looked like right now. Placing his backpack on the ground next to his feet so he wouldn’t forget about it later on. Crossing his arms as he looked at the male who was slightly taller than him which ticked him off even more than he already was.

The other clearly remembered who Jun was and what he did to him the evening before. He didn’t have to worry about that, however as he noticed the sighs and gazes he left him... he probably would’ve preferred if the man had forgotten about their encounter. He was clearly angry. Although Jun could really not blame him for that since he had all right to be angry, in fact he kind of expected that. What he didn’t expect was that despite being angry at him he still complied and started leading him through the school to find a good spot for them to talk on. If he was so angry with him, why did he do that? Why didn’t he just ignore him and be with his friends? That was what he wanted to do after all, why pay attention to the guy he wanted nothing to do with simply because he asked for it?

Jun had heard that Japanese people were incredibly polite, but wasn’t this going a little overboard? No matter the reason, Jun wasn’t going to share what he was thinking right now since he figured he had offended this guy enough. He didn’t want to cause him any more trouble... However, it seemed that ship had already sailed considering how utterly annoyed this guy was being just by the mere presence of him. He followed him outside and watched as he leaned against the wall waiting for Jun to say what he wanted to say. It took everything for Jun not to give the guy a glare of annoyance back since he wondered if he really thought that either of them wanted to be in this position. He didn’t see how such a look would benefit him in this situation since it most likely would only make the matters worse.

Jun gave away a sigh and looked away for a moment, trying to not think about that pissed off facial expression in front of him and instead he tried to make his mind go blank, thinking back to what he thought back in the classroom and why he was doing this to himself in the first place. He needed to calm down a bit so that what he said couldn’t be misinterpreted as something bad.

“You clearly don’t want anything to do with me, so I’ll make this quick.”

Even though he had calmed down, he just had to say something about it just to get it out of his system. He hoped the other could handle such a comment, but considering how tough he seemed to be... He could handle a small cold shoulder. However, Jun knew for the next part he had to look at the other just so that he could come across as sincere. Another sigh left him before his dark eyes found those annoyed ones.

“I’m sorry. I wanted to apologize to you for yesterday. It was just a bad day for me and somehow I transferred that over to you.”

Jun was lucky that this guy actually understood English well enough. He didn’t think he would’ve been able to say all that in Japanese... He really should start studying that more seriously. However, at the moment he wasn’t sure what else he could say to convince the other that he really was sorry about it... Well, probably not while he did it since he was quite drunk at that time too.

“It was just a drunk mistake.”

Jun continued as to clarify that he didn’t mean it that seriously at the time, which was probably worse now that he thought about it, but he also had no intentions of doing such things to him again. Since this guy appeared to be a classmate, he didn’t want anything to do with him either. It was just by mere coincidence that they were talking now.

“Now that I’ve said what I wanted... I won’t bother you again.”

Another clarification as Jun figured the conversation was over. He turned away from the other and then started to go back to the building, heading towards the next class in question. It wasn’t that Jun didn’t want to be forgiven for what he did, he just figured such a thing could never be handed to him. So he didn’t wait for it since he figured that would just be a waste of time. The guy now knew that he was sorry about it all and that was all he needed.
