A tiny bit sad at first when I read book 1 and wishfully shipped him with Kevin and then all of a sudden, book 2 went all BAM! MAKE WAY! Crazy and smol ANDREW MINYARD HERE! -- and I just "oh, oh!" and yeah, okay! OKAY! NEIL + ANDREW = FTW (I want more of their love story.)

, I don't know about survival game, but it's survival nonetheless with a chosen one and prophecy? Sci-fi in dystopian setting also trio teenagers as the main characters. Have you read "Proxy" by Alex London? LGBTQ+ that's not focus on romance but still made me cry because of the ending. (The sequel is a good following and the author will have other fantasy book with a gay hero this year.)

, we have to agree to disagree because "His Quiet Agent" by Ada Maria Soto is a brilliant and heartfelt love story that represents the ace (and might-be-demiromantic) character Martin quite well.

 

 

Alright, Martin seemed weird and cold and they called him The Alien. But I just couldn't help but felt him the same way. I could relate to his character because sometime I'm like Martin in RL. That's why I love love love how Arthur decided to reach out and be Martin's friend (and then fell in love) first. And damn, the ending? How Arthur said that his heart and head could be Martin's, even the rest if Martin was interested? But then he genly touched Martin's chest and said "this is more important"? Simply beautiful. . .

 

 

But if Vanlatte wants more different theme for MM romance with ace character, please read "How to Be a Normal Person" by T.J. Klune. It's cute and hilarious.

i was just saying it..i never wrote fiction or fan-fiction..i only wrote two stories for my school magazine and that too in my 9th grade and that's it..i am more involved with public speaking activities like speech,debate, anchoring, story telling, poem recitation etc..

 

Though i was just saying it but i do want to write something maybe when i can get a break i will give fan-fiction a try..The couple of silver diamond has been on my mind for a long time..

the second book of kria might fit under the task for "main character a prince or a king"..the mc is the son of the dead kaiser and in kria universe in the country of kria kaiser is similar to king and you can also read lovesongs series under "read something with food/music category"

for the recommendation.. after reading the summary its on my read list..

 

i have looked up books like gay post-apocalyptic/dystopic but most books are with zombie, virus,technological revolution, slaves, evolution of human species..things like this but the kind of book i am looking for is where the society is reformed in a specific way and boys over 16 to 25 are forced to participate in a survival game or an adventure quest to find the cure or discover the past secret of humanity to save the present..( i mean this kind of scenarios with games to death)

while i don't think you can call it a survival game's book, try "the ark trilogy" by jesse daro, mochi made me think of it. You still have our world (and school time xp) but our protagonist belong to a special race (which has been genetically revived by a secret organization) and has been on the run from said organization since his birth. Now they are closing in to him, he will learn to fight, (make friend), meet resistence group, uncover truth, discover ancient mithology of his race, (find romance), bring up a revolution, discern ally from foe, and obviously save his race!! All normal stuff! (And he still has to go to prom! Xd) aand still have teenage gay problem!

Read it even if you don't think it is the book you are searching for, it is marvelous!!

THIS!!! I was also SO sure that it would be Kevin!!!! Holy crap, and I didn't like Kevin at all, so I suffered through the whole first book xD and then I was told who the love interest actually was, and then I suffered through the whole second book because there was literally no zero zilch nada in the romance department:D but oh well, wasn't book 3 fantastic ahah?

Andrew is complicated, and that made him so interesting.. Kevin on the other hand.. all we ever saw was him being afraid, especially in the first book.. I don't know, but that's why I personally wasn't very inspired by Kevin x Neil thing..^^

But, the series is not all about romance. There are more to read and reveal. Like about Yakuza and Riko and Kevin, Neil's past, and what was it about Andrew and Aaron, and also the Exy sport. Especially about the Exy sport. It was an exciting yet also heart-wrenching read even without romance to be the center of the story.
