Someone who loves his husband THAT much, will not start worrying about his partner after two fucking days. And he is so slow and so naive. But I am not seeing only the bad sides of the book. I coincidentally downloaded the series a few days ago after I saw the unique and mysterious covers xD The synopsis also indicated that it would be a suspenseful read. Well love is so deeply felt when you know you lost it or on verge of losing it...i am waiting for the end of this month to have a full blown discussion.... What I like from Book 2: - SHAUN, please, give him The Best Friend Reward! - Dev the Hunky Detective - Trevor x Dev and I'm waiting more on-page interactions between this couple in Book 3 please - Henry finally quited his boring job and hello more detective work in Book 3 please What I dislike from Book 2: - Any paragraphs/dialogues/mentions about Henry's financial job and Ossi; are they even necessary for the main plot? Reveal hidden contents probably best lover too...i mean can you imagine the hell you put yourself through every time you are with someone you love and that someone is starry eyed over other....but still manage to wish the best for one you love and being there for every up and down....i was wishing please dont let Shaun be the bad guy from book one...i wanted him to remain bestfriend...thank goodness...he is....i really felt a bit relieved Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I really hope that everyone kept their reviews spoiler free. The beauty of this story is in the unexpected turn of events, something that happens again and again in all three books. I suggest that you don't even read the blurbs for books 2 and 3. Henry Cooley wakes up one morning, only to find his husband missing. Where is Tom, what happened to him, did he just vanish into thin air? Everything is explained in this book and the mystery is solved. There is no steam here, and I don't even know if it is a romantic story. But it has all the feels, action, surprises at every corner, and an amazing cast of secondary characters. And so much love! Reveal hidden contents Did u remember that Henry's brother died when he was in college and he had a breakdown and slip from reality but shaun was there as hold on reality....that kind of thing keeps us from trusting our instincts or to doubting our thinking...henry may know about his husband or suspected something but he also don't want to slip from reality, so he keep telling himself not to be paranoid....his husband arrives late at night(which normally happens), he won't be in bed (which normally happens too), wont call at work if he in indulged in work (that happens too) just never these three together but he didn't connect the dots because he don't want to lose himself, he probably stubbornly refused to think that....plus in the end we know the husband is dead months before...it was probably his breaking point,months of accumulating plus something happened the night before which might triggered it(that something is in book 2)...we all know our brain tries it damnedest possible to avoid worst possible situation....combine all the three, he resetted himself...thus we have our dense henry or so i presume...well this is what i think...any other speculation people? Well, I actually wanted him to be in mono relationship with the hunky detective, but ah if it made him happy and comfortable after being conciously/unconciously leading on by the MC, I'm happy with him and his boys.
