With a small yawn Yukie snuggled back down just watching Adrian. Yukie wasn't exactly sleepy his body just being more stressed out then normal brought on a horrid case of fatigue. And since he was so exhausted he somewhat hid cherry underneath him slightly protecting him from predators since he would be to tiered to really fight. Adrian murmured, thinking of all the big plans Beu had for Yukie and Ayme to preform tricks for guests and even be handled by children for parties. The kind of thing were for a 'generous donation' your kid could go inside with the trained merman and swim around with them and get a picture taken for a key chain or something like that. If only Adrian's parents could have afforded that when he was a kid that would have been something, but hey. He was here now with his dream career as a marine biologist and trainer so he could hardly even complain. The man moved closer to Yukie, and gently reached out his hand and just hovered it lightly above him, just to see if this would help calm him, or if it would have the opposite effect of agitation. With a small fluff of his fins he moved his body so he could let the child look around their home. Cherry was busy playing andwith feeling the rocks fascinated by the ssmooth surface. With a small smile Yukie watched as cherry rubbed up against the rocks and swam around staying quite close to mum. "...He must be out hunting" Yukie added laying back down his eyes keeping watch on cherry not wanting their baby to leave the den where he would be raised for the next few months. Adrian stated, allowing his hand to glide over Yukie's body without fear of being stabbed by one of the barbs since his fins seemed to be calmly tucked away for now. But even the man knew it was always a possibly they could stick out again, especially with a little one swimming around that needed to be protected. The marine biologist watched the child with interest exploring his new environment quite boldly, it made him smile. He'd never seen a baby mermen before in real life so this was really something to be there to witness. He would help Cheri grow, but mostly it would be Yukie and Ayme responsible for that. It suddenly occurred to him... Maybe he shouldn't worry about training the adult pair, but instead the child. Young ones were always more impressionable and open to new things, he could help shape Cheri not to be afraid of humans and instead see them as something good. In fact it should be afraid of you since that's going to be your dinner~" The man hummed as he moved his hand to gently pat Cheri. A scowl was shown on Yu's face the male glaring at Adrian from inside the viewing tunnel. The spoiled brat had needed up buying the three fish and the aquarium Beu having his hand tied in the situation since he was blackmailed into selling the place to a super rich family. What had he done wrong to deserve such a name from the kid, did the boy think he was hurting the mermen? Maybe he was one of those hippies animal activist that believe keeping creatures in captivity was abusive. Adrian supposed in some cases it was, but he would never work for such a place since he loved marine animals. They were his life and passion. Feeling protective over the merman, but at the same time being confused he went over to the glass to confront the kid gently. "What's with that then?" Yu explained the dark haired boy staring back with green eyes watching Adrian glad the male had stepped away from his new birthday present. Yukie watched holding cherry close to his body not sure what all was going on but he was not to stressed since he had seen Adrian talk to humans before. He assumed that the old guy was already swimming in cash as it was. "Uh-Huh..." Adrian shifted, glancing back over at Yukie and his baby before looking at the kid. "One minute, please." He swam back over to the pair to reassure them that everything was going to be okay. "Don't mind the kid... I think he's just a little too eager about being here. With a small snuggle to cherry Yukie carried the child out looking for Ayme only to see a lot of men outside of the tank taking out the water and removing the small shore where cherry was born. With a puff of his fins Yukie watched confused as the water was slowly being drained to a half level. The main tank had a little more then the others that where being taken out and being carefully packed up. LoneDigger Posted August 23, 2018 Share Posted August 23, 2018 It seemed in the chaos Ayme had already been darted and captured since anyone knew that there was no way the aggressive mermen would have been capture safely by hand conscious, instead he was drugged into a half sleep from the tranquilizer in a transport tank. "What the hell are they doing?!" Adrian thought frantically to himself as he felt the water being drained slowly, something really was happening and maybe that kid hadn't been lying. The marine biologist quickly hurried out of the water and pealed off his wet suit to go see what this was all about. "Sir! What is..." He was about to ask until he got the stranger man's gaze which even froze the happy go lucky marine biologist into silence. He was seriously scary looking! He allowed my son to pick out any creature he wants to take home" the man replied watching his son look at Ayme the boy quite fascinated by the beautiful merman. "Hes also signed over your contract to us from now on you will be working for my son and caring for the creatures" the male added having his men wrap Yukie and the child up in a net. With a few easy adjustments they had Yukie in a comfortable tank with a simple hide clearly having done their homework. "You can start work tomorrow" the father replied his men loading up the fish and putting them into the dark truck carefully securing them in. With a small smile the kid ran off to get into the car excited to take his new toys home. But the bright side was he still got to see Yukie, Cheri, and yes even the grumpy Ayme. This wasn't really the end of the world, but it still made Adrian feel uneasy. Working for someone like that man would be nothing but trouble and he didn't want to be involved, but he was committed to the mermen and it sounded like even if he had said no there wasn't actually a choice. "Yes, sir..." He replied to his new boss, watching the mermen being taken away with a worried expression. ... The next morning at 10 am sharp Adrian was at the new address ready to care for the boy's new pets. But he hated calling them that even if that's what they were now. Yu walked down the hallway and unlocked the giant doors opening to a giant ballroom that held twice as much water as the aquarium the tanks bigger and much nicer. "Father had special filters placed in the room over." Yu explained gently touching the glass before tapping lightly watching as Yukie swam over and watched the boy before going over to bigger touch tank. "The small one cherry likes sardines as long as they are fresh" Yu added sitting down in front of the tank his hand splashing cherry with some water Yukie watching Yu interact with cherry not feeling threatened by the child. "Ayme is in father's study he has a giant tank in his wing that connects to this one. But for now he's letting Ayme adapt to his office" Meanwhile Lucas was sitting and filling out paperwork the business man ignoring Ayme who had a very nice setup picked out by himself. Adrian murmured, trying to make small talk since he wasn't really used to interacting with people much, let alone kids. He walked over to the glass and stared inside at the pair and smiled gently. "Hi Yukie... Do you like your new home? It's even fancier than back in the aquarium, yeah?" The man then looked at Cheri. Smiling even more than before as he put his hand against the tank. "Cherry was born yesterday right?" Yu asked watching as Yukie swam off to go find food for the small infant. The merman seemed much more relaxed in his new environment already he was warming up to his new little master. But he was truly happy to see Yukie so content and that the kid was handling Cheri so nicely meant maybe they did have something more in common then he had originally thought. Maybe working here wouldn't be so bad after all. Ayme instantly puffed up defensively at the vibrations caused from the tapping on the glass and glared at the man, it seemed funnily enough that the merman was the only one who wasn't scared of Lucas. Lucas laughed a little and looked at the male admiring his beauty before trailing his finger against the glass showing Ayme the small pool where he could glare next to the desk from the shallow rock pool that was quite decorative. I mean, like teach you more about them and stuff, but it seems like you already know a lot of what you're doing..." Ayme was very handsome was he was angry just for the fact that it showed off his fins and colors the most vibrantly. The merman followed the finger against the glass, snapping his fangs at it even if he knew he couldn't bite Lucas through the glass. He ended up stuck in the shallower rock pool. "I'd rather play with them myself now. You can go on lunch" Yu replied his voice quite cold towards Adrian. Lucas laughed and closed off the escape route on the tank and went to his office door before locking it. He did not want to piss off this kid or his dad especially for that matter since if the brat said it was luch time it didn't matter if he wasn't hungry. He quickly excused himself and opened up the lunch bag he had packed and halfheartedly ate what was inside. He was still thinking too much about Yukie and Cheri, Ayme too... Speaking of Ayme, the merman was not happy with his situation, he thrashed around. Trying to jump back into the deeper section, but he didn't have enough water to propel himself forward so he puffed up more, barbing sticking out as he hissed at Lucas, the sound was quite awful, kind of like nails on a chalkboard. He continued to watch him before moving some pillows beside the tank to sit beside the child. Eventually Yu fell asleep the poor kid to tiered to stay awake to watch cherry who was content with his baby pool. "My your feisty" Lucas replied with a happy laugh amused by the male as he relaxed nude in the shallow end the smooth pebbles feeling nice against his skin. "Come over here" Lucas added his voice quite happy with the mermans reaction as he continued to relax in the water a small bucked of fresh sardines beside him. LoneDigger Posted August 24, 2018 Share Posted August 24, 2018 Adrian lunch break went on for well over an hour so he figured since no one had fetched him yet he better go check on the kid and make sure everything was still going alright. He wasn't expecting to see when he walked back into the room the cute scene of the boy fast asleep with Cheri curled up near him in the small pool of water. "Aw..." He whispered with a growing smile on his features. The only thing more than mad Ayme happened to be was hungry, so the sight of the sardines was enough to coax him closer to the man, he was still hissing every now and then as he crept forward, fins flaring out in warning as he tried to snatch one up in his teeth and retreat away. "...this one's mine also" Yukie whispered looking over Yu the male having taken the child into his home and somewhat adopted him into his little family.
