This is a thread where I will mention mostly my work on YO, saving up other staff members' time whenever someone asks questions regarding my assigned tasks. So, whenever you see an update on here, it is letting you know how the work is going or what is actually going on.

Current project: New ranks

 

So, many of you know that YaoiOtaku's home page is now changed completely. We have a new position for users called 'authors'. So, I am here to make the new ranks. It is taking me some time because there is a small twist to the new ranks. You will see them very soon on YO, probably this weekend or the beginning of next week. It's been awfully hectic for me, so I am working on them whenever I get a chance and am not falling asleep on my keyboard. '_'

 

Now then, what to expect. Well, we will have some more new ranks with the 'author' one. And such I am still wondering if to make or not, dunno. I have some more days to decide it. I will enlist below the new ranks.

These I meant 'to make or not to make' are regarding the Translator rank. Yes, old members know that this rank is assigned to a staff member who is in the translation team. However, imagine yourself as a newbie, if you see the 'Translator' rank, you will automatically think it is, obviously, a translator. But not, per se, editor, the manager in head, typesetter etc. So..it is a bit incorrect, or so I believe.

 

Anyway, enlisting now the upcoming new ranks.

 

Certain ranks: Author, The Reader, Shoutaku

Uncertain ranks: Typesetter, Editor, QC-er, Manager, Proofreader, JP Translator, CH Translator, SPA Translator, RU Translator, FR Translator, KO Translator, RAW Provider, Helper

Current project: YO's new logo.

 

This one is a hardcore task. I have been working on it before the ranks, but due to the urgency of the new ranks - I postponed that logo project. I am not a person who reveals what exactly is the new graphics like, so, you won't see me post such stuff. Just letting you know that at a maximum of one month, we will enjoy a very professional logo on YO's home page. ' v '

 

If I have any certain updates on the project, I will let you know.

Current project: YO's new logo.

 

The logo so far is 45% done. The animation is taking me longer than I thought it would. I am still adjusting quality and colors, also the smoothness of transition between layers. It has so far 150 layers. It's getting so complicated to follow all the anchor keys, I swear.

 

But hopefully the result will please you all. (:

Hello everyone!

I hope this year treats you well so far. Do not panic due to the recent worldwide events.

The iShop cards have been updated up to star-level 7. Soon star-level 8 will follow. As I have been away for quite the long time, I have not managed to work on YaoiOtaku. I want to thank everyone who helped the staff with graphic, management and forums-related work. Also, thank you for being patient for two years with the outdated Christmas banners, lol. Sorry! I received Key's approval to work on a new series of banners which soon will be released. (:
