Massage was a good idea, since Ethan seemed to need it. His back muscles were really tense and Aaron could feel that under his fingers, even if he wasn’t a professional. So when his boyfriend groaned and then demanded of him to do it harder, he obliged and chuckled at the same time. “So you like it hard, Ethan?” The light-haired male couldn’t help but tease, at the same time pressing more firmly on the rigid muscles. He couldn’t keep at it for long though, not being used to it, so his hands continued to roam over other parts of his lover’s body. When he was called a bloody monster he grinned widely, enjoying the feeling the other’s tongue and teeth on his earlobe caused. When he was done, he could feel the ginger getting bigger again and was told that it was his fault, because he was a tease. He smirked at the comment, feeling his ego grow a little. “You said before that it’s flattering I think you have the stamina of a fucking machine, but you could easily do it again right now, couldn’t you?” he asked, before adding with a sigh, “I don’t think I could get it up again tonight.”

Aaron focused too much on his boyfriend’s body and forgot to at least offer to wash his hair too, but the ginger didn’t feel bothered by having to wash his hair himself, so the light-haired male shrugged it off. While he was drying himself off, he took his time and enjoyed watching Ethan wash himself. It took him by surprise, how normal this situation seemed to him right now. He felt totally at ease and relaxed, like they did this every day and it made him smile. He didn’t remember the last time he felt like this around another person that wasn’t his family. His boyfriend didn’t take long, before he was out too, drying himself off. Aaron only got a quick kiss, before the ginger sauntered out of the bathroom with only a towel around his hips.

Pausing in his bedroom to put on some comfortable pants, not bothering with the underwear, Aaron followed his boyfriend into the kitchen, finding him opening all the cupboards and it made him smile. Ethan looked so full of energy as he rummaged around, trying to find anything useful, while he just wanted to lay down and take a nap. So when the ginger declared he’s going to make a chilli, the light-haired male said, “Sounds great. If you need any help, let me know,” before searching for his phone and plopping down on his couch. He was sitting on it sideways, so he had a good view of Ethan in the kitchen.

His boyfriend seemed to have everything under control, so Aaron checked his messages. He didn’t bother seeing who wrote to him outside, when they were in the middle of a fight, but he guessed correctly – it was Meyer. The first message read, “I don’t know what happened. We were just talking, I asked him about you and then he left, dumping all the work on me.” It made the light-haired male raise an eyebrow, before reading on. “I told him you were straight and he didn’t like hearing it.” That explained a few things. “Man I’m beat. Been working till now. Just meet me at the bar for a beer.” And the last message was, “You coming or what?” It was sent half an hour ago, while he and Ethan were taking a shower, but he had no intention of going, especially not now. He did take a few moments to think about what to write, because while it did annoy him that Meyer was getting involved between them, he was still someone Aaron thought of as a friend. Jake was a big support in the past, before his books got recognized and so were many townspeople and he couldn’t just forget about that, even if they had their disagreements in the past. So he wrote, “Me and Ethan are together now and he’s at my place, so I can’t come tonight. We should meet and talk. What about tomorrow, you free for coffee?” The librarian didn’t really feel like going to a bar, because they would draw a lot of attention if they would want to talk privately and other guys probably wouldn’t leave them alone to talk in the first place.

He waited some time for a reply, observing his boyfriend as he prepared all the ingredients, but his phone stayed quiet. It made him wonder what that means; is Meyer too shocked or did Aaron put too much trust in him, thinking he won’t be bothered by this? In any case, it was ruining his good mood, so he threw the phone on the coffee table, focusing his attention on Ethan. The ginger was leaning out of the window, having a smoke and Aaron was cold just looking at him. He let him enjoy his bad habit for a while, since it was nice seeing him grin widely, obviously thinking about something that made him happy. The light-haired male wanted to think it was him that made the ginger look like that. But then the man at the window grew serious, letting out a deep sigh.

The sudden change in Ethan made him get up and walk to him. Aaron could feel the gust of cold air, as he walked closer and he couldn’t imagine suffering through this just to get a smoke. He wrapped his arms around the ginger’s torso, snuggling up to him to feel his warmth. “Won’t you catch a cold like this?” He wanted to ask him what he was thinking about, what made him sigh like that, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to know the answer.

The chilli was already boiling and there really wasn’t much for Aaron to do, but he wanted to feel useful, so he decided he can at least set the table. He pulled out two plates and cutlery, putting them on the table. A lot of times he just ate in front of the television or behind his desk, while working, but now that he had a guest, it felt nice to sit down behind the kitchen table properly. It wasn’t all that late yet, since they headed home straight from work, so Aaron asked, “What do you want to do after we eat? We should probably get you settled, so if you want, I can help you unpack?” He was already thinking which shelves in the closet will be the easiest to empty, so Ethan could put away his clothes.

Buried deep into his thoughts he didn’t realise that Aaron was walking up to him and he was stiffing for a moment, his eyes widening at the sudden feeling of defined arms wrapping around him. The ginger immediately relaxed though, the warmth of the other man’s body pressed against his washing the cold away, warming his skin and even making him feel warm on the inside. A smile was playing around his lips when the silver haired man asked him if he wouldn’t catch a cold like that. Putting his cigarette into his left hand he turned around, his right hand laying on the librarian’s jaw, hazel eyes endearingly looking at him. “Nah, sweetie!” he told him, leaning in, pressing his lips against the other’s to passionately kiss him, his tongue dancing with the Wilson’s, greedy to taste and to feel him, not caring that he was tasting like tobacco to the other man.

As their lips parted again Ethan smiled at Aaron, turned back to the window again and pulled on his cigarette deeply another time before he flung it out of the window, getting back inside completely, closing it. He saw the other male setting the table for them and the ginger’s eyes followed his every movement, his body stretching when he was getting the plates, his hands placing the silverware onto the table and his smile just didn’t seem to fade. On his way to the oven he casually gave the silver haired a firm slap onto his sexy arse before he looked for the chilli, seeing that it was ready, placing the pot onto the table, looking up at the writer when he asked him what he wanted to do after they had eaten. Ethan hadn’t thought about that at all. They had initially talked about their plans before they had ended up fighting and fucking.

Scratching his chin where one could by now see the beard shadow as he had still not shaved he was thinking but the other man was already suggesting that they should probably unpack Ethan’s things. “Sure. We can do that.” he agreed and sat down onto one of the chairs still only wearing a towel around his hips. “What’s with Meyer though?” the man asked remembering how their fight had even started and the blond former bully apparently wanting to warn Aaron that the ginger had a crush on him. “You can go and meet up with him if you want. I wouldn’t mind.” The red head told him. “You don’t have to neglect your friendships in favour of me.” The man told the other filling their plates and he really wouldn’t mind. He’d be fine with the other spending his time with his friends. The people he had lived the last decades of his life with. But although this was the truth his face was incredibly serious and his voice was a little stern. Because there was one thing he damn well minded and that was the thought that the other would go and meet up with Jake and the other guys he played football with pretending that there was nothing between Ethan and him. Pretending that he was straight, pretending that nothing in his life had changed, not sharing this with them but making his relationship to Cornwell a secret around them. Being denied by the man he loved!

“I’d even accompany you, if I was invited that is.” he let the other know and he would although he had zero interest in spending time with Meyer, much less those other guys who’d hang around in that pup. However it would grant him to see how his boyfriend would act and behave what he’d say and how he’d not only be towards the other guys in Ethan’s presence but to Ethan in the presence of his friend as well. Whether he’d act distanced and would treat Ethan as if they were buddies or if he’d treat him like his boyfriend, like a lover regardless of what his friends might think about him then or the judgement he might face.

He didn’t want to think about it no more though and stuffed some of the chilli into his mouth. It tasted really good. It had just the right amount of spiciness and it proved once more to the ginger that he was a decent cook. Not a professional but decent enough. As he was eating he looked at the man opposite to him, into those mesmerising blue eyes and he shoved his bare leg forward, his foot brushing over Aarons, their knees touching as he was rubbing his leg up against the librarian’s, the spread legs and the way he was sitting making the towel completely useless because it exposed everything, leaving nothing to the imagination. Ethan however certainly didn’t mind the fresh air around his dick and balls though.

The fact that the ginger was wearing basically nothing and that Aaron was wearing pants which he felt rubbing his leg against the other’s reminded him of something else. A question he had postponed the other night because they had been too tired but now that he was going to stay with the other man for the time he was in town he thought that he should bring it to the table and discuss it. “There’s one thing.” He started. “I wanted to tell you yesterday but it was late and all.” Ethan said. “I usually sleep naked!” the man then confessed looking at the other, taking another bit of the chilli. “It’s another adopted habit that I have grown really fond of and that I’m always doing and at this point I find sleeping with clothes on restricting and I miss the feeling of the sheets and blanket on my skin if I have to wear them.” He described. “I know though that not everyone is alright with it so, is it okay with you if I slept naked while I’m here or would you rather want me to wear clothes?” the ginger asked. He liked the idea of sleeping naked with Aaron. Spooning the man and falling asleep feeling his skin and their body heat but that wouldn’t only require the other to agree to allow the ginger to sleep naked in his bed but to be willing to try it himself also.

In reply to his question, Ethan called him sweetie and Aaron realized he’s slowly getting used to this. In the past, his former friend never called him any nicknames like this, which wasn’t surprising, given their relationship back then was different from the one they had now, but the light-haired male never got the impression the ginger is such a loving person. Probably because he never saw him getting intimate with anyone. On the other hand, he himself wasn’t like that at all; in all his past relationships, he always called his partners by name or by a nickname everyone else used for them, never by endearments. It made him feel warm inside, being called like that. He thought for so long that his former friend didn’t care about him and now he was starved for affection from him. Not the same affection Ethan wanted to give him, as the kiss that followed proved, but still, the light-haired male returned it, a bit hesitant when the other’s tongue brushed his, bringing with it the unpleasant taste. He had to hold back not to let out a comment about smoking again, deciding he will not nag the ginger, if it’s obviously won’t work.

When they pulled apart and Ethan smiled at him, his own lips formed a small smile reflexively and it once again surprised him how domestic this felt. He never thought much about how his life will be, when he would get a serious partner, but he still didn’t expect there to be so much intimacy. But then his former friend waltzed back into his life, declaring he’s in love with him and he jumped right into it. It baffled him, because only this person could cause this one hundred and eighty degrees turn in him. He could not imagine doing this for anyone else and that made him wonder. What exactly was Ethan to him, before his confession? It’s definitely not normal to feel this way for a friend. Could he be so lame to be pinning for this one person, not acknowledging to himself what he really feels all this time? Was this the reason why he always broke things off, as soon as it looked like it’s getting serious? All this self-reflection was causing his head to hurt, so when a slap to his butt brought him back to the present, he was grateful for the distraction.

As they sat down to eat, his boyfriend agreed they can unpack his things, but then he brought up Jake again and it made the light-haired male frown. His phone stayed quiet this whole time, so his friend still hasn’t replied to his last text and it made him uneasy. Aaron wished for at least one person to accept his decision, without butting in. “I wrote to him that I have plans with you already, so I don’t know if he even went to the bar then. But I don’t think it’s neglecting our friendship, if I have plans I made previous to his invitation.” Even if his boyfriend said he doesn’t mind Aaron going, he looked like there is something he minds, so the light-haired male planned to stick with his decision to spend the rest of the day at home. It surprised him, when the ginger said he would accompany him and it made him look at him with raised eyebrows. “You would go with me, although there might be people there you really don’t want to see ever again?” Jake Meyer wasn’t the only bully in their school, there were others that followed him and while some might have grown up into decent men, some of them still stayed the same assholes as before. “We can go, but there’s a chance it might be unpleasant?” He formed the last sentence as a question, because he didn’t want Ethan to feel uncomfortable and he wanted him to know what might happen, if some guys decided to be dicks about it.

Ethan was already stuffing the food into his mouth, so the light-haired male dug in too. He made a pleased humming sound, as chilli hit his tasting buds. “I didn’t know you can cook so well,” he mumbled between the bites, the spices warming him up. “You just earned yourself the title of the official cook!” he then joked, because his cooking skills were fairly limited. He could get used to home-cooked meals that weren’t spaghetti, because he usually didn’t bother to cook anything else for himself.

He got so absorbed into gulping down food, his stomach growling contently too, finally getting something warm in it after the whole day, that feeling Ethan’s leg sneak up to his almost made him choke on it. He covered it up with a cough, moving a bit forward on his chair so his boyfriend will have easier access, but not commenting on the action. He didn’t mind it, more like it felt nice to have bodily contact while they were eating.

His boyfriend didn’t stay quiet for long, before announcing he has something to tell him. Hearing that made Aaron’s chest squeeze tightly, thinking it must be something bad. He wasn’t sure why his first thought was negative, maybe because he was still afraid Ethan might just leave again, but it turned out it wasn’t anything like that. Hearing the ginger declare he wants to sleep naked and if it’s okay with him, made the light-haired male grin. “Of course it’s okay, I said you should make yourself feel at home here, didn’t I? Oh, I do usually wear at least underwear to bed. Is that okay with you?” For him, the decision what to wear to bed was more practical and depended on the weather. In the summer, he didn’t wear much, while he tended to wear at least a t-shirt and pants when it got cold.

Resisting the childish urge to lick his plate clean, he leaned back when he finished eating, feeling warm and full and pleasantly tired. He put his hands on his stomach, sighing contently. “This was really good. Since you cooked, I’ll wash the dishes.” Washing the dishes meant putting them into the dishwasher, which he rarely used since he was living alone and didn’t cook much, but now that there were two of them he planned to make use of it.

Ethan clearly observed the frown on Wilson’s face when he mentioned Jake and the ginger wondered what this was about. Was it due to their fight earlier or did Jake write something that irritated his boyfriend. “Is something bugging you?” he asked casually, seeming less interested than he actually was. But when the librarian told him that he had told Meyer that he had already had made plans with him so he might not even be at that bar he was a little surprised and not negatively. Although he was kinda curious to know how the other had made it sound like. Probably as if they were just two dudes chilling together and nothing more! It wasn’t what he wanted it to have been but it was the most likely scenario. “And what is it you have planned to do with me?” he wanted to know coquettishly, grinning challengingly at the other. However they really had never made up their mind about their plans for that day. At first they had wanted to go out, then Aaron had cancelled that because he didn’t want to go anywhere outside where other people could see them with the red head anymore and now their ‘date’ was apparently on again?

A snorting laugh came from him upon the obvious surprise and disbelief Aaron expressed after Cornwell had told him that he’d even accompany him to that pub if he liked him to followed by the warning that the ginger might make an unpleasant experience there. “Unbelievable isn’t it?” he jested. “But yes. I’d accompany you.” He confirmed. “Don’t get me wrong I totally hate those dudes. I think they are dim-witted good-for-nothings but if they really are your friends now for whatever reason and you want it to stay that way I’ll bear with them despite my hatred for them.” Ethan stated. “I’d like you to be willing to still meet my friends too despite of the resentments you have against some of them, although unlike me who knows all of your friends from the past have never seen my friends much less made any negative experiences with them.” The man explained.

With a laugh he continued. “Anyway, you don’t need to worry, I know that it might get unpleasant for me but I can assure you I can both verbally and physically, yes, I actually said physically right now, defend myself against them. So they might as well try.” The ginger shrugged. Despite him almost forgetting that he wasn’t the same anymore as back in high-school and also not in that situation anymore the other day at the school reunion he had made that very clear to himself and to the other’s in that bloody town rather quickly. Sure the ginger was still pretty much the nerd but he was confident and proud in who he was completely and that included being a gay man and if someone were to try to stuff him in a locker they’d a) get a hell of a fight and b) Ethan would not fit into it anymore either. As a teenager as well when he had been a young man the ginger’s body had looked just as nerdy as he was. He had been really slim and later on in his early to mid twenties he had become somewhat floppy as he had not done much else than to study, to eat simple meals and to lunge around with his flat mates and friends. And at age twenty-seven nerdy Ethan Cornwell had entered a gym for the first time in his life. As someone who had never done any sport before he had felt as out of place as one could feel and next to the trainer and most of the other guys he had looked like a toothpick or a matchstick looking over many of their heads but seeming small regardless. And he had thought that what they must have thought when they had seen him must have been ‘Behind which computer screen did that nerd crawl out from’. He also had sucked big time. He had fallen from the treadmill, had almost passed out on the cross trainer and the lightest weights he had struggled with and it had been a hassle and extremely hard at first but nowadays he was working out with weights heavier than Aarons body and heavier than his own for that matter. He even had overcome his loathe of doing sports. Granted, he still hated cardio but the weights he actually enjoyed doing now that he didn’t suck and feel cranky doing it anymore and he didn’t feel out of place in his gym at all anymore either.

Well, according to Jonas he apparently should. The man was almost offended by Ethan going to what he called ‘straight people gym’ and he didn’t care no matter how often the ginger told him that it was not only for straight people but simply for everyone, he was still bitching about it as if the red head was some kind of traitor because he wasn’t going to Jonas’s gym which was solely for gay guys. Ethan had not even known that something like that existed but in New York everything seemed to exist but he had declined regardless because he was going to work out and he didn’t want distraction and too much other stuff around him. Whereas Jonas went solely for chattering and networking and checking out other men! The drag-queen was exclusively doing cardio and only half-assed because he didn’t want to look sweaty and like a mess, he sometimes even snacked doing that and was basically busy criticising other men’s sportswear or drooling over them. But the reason his friend had gone there had paid off – what was unbelievable if one thought about it – as he had met his buff, rocker guy boyfriend there. Apparently Jonas didn’t find anything wrong with his sportswear or something. And after Cornwell had asked his friend and his boyfriend where they had met and had gotten that answer Jonas had taken the opportunity to complain to his boyfriend about Ethan and his ‘straight people gym’ only to find out that his boyfriend had been to a regular gym for the longest time either, Jonas playing fake offended calling him a traitor too.

When he had stuffed his mouth full with food and the other then tried the chilli too Aaron complemented his cooking and declared the ginger the official cook in the relationship. “I think this will be better for the both of us.” He nodded with a smirk on his lips. “Thanks though! I really am good at this and proud of myself for it. When I moved to New York Ri…. Nevermind!” he cut himself off remembering that the librarian couldn’t stand his older ex-boyfriend. Then again he had figured out quite some stuff during that time about himself, about life, about relationships, about everything and it had been a time with a lot of first times. Richard had also been his first guy and he had just moved out from home. It had been quite something and at first Ethan had been overwhelmed with everything he had never done and couldn’t do and Richard who had been a sophisticated artistic, creative kinda guy had shown him how to cook different dishes, even some gourmet menus, granted that had been a little too high for Ethan but cooking with the other had been fun. He had almost forgotten that they had had this stupid poly arrangement that the ginger had not liked and that had not been for him in those moments.

Since Aaron was throwing down the chilli as if this was his last meal there wasn’t much further talking going on apparently until Cornwell had asked the writer whether sleeping naked would be alright or a problem for him. While the silver haired had looked worried as if he had been about to tell him that they were all doomed and Earth would end when the ginger had started to speak the silver haired male’s expression lit up immediately after the question, grinning at him almost amused. He then was told that Wilson had no problem with the other sleeping naked being reminded that he had told him to make himself at home in his apartment. “You indeed did.” Ethan admitted. “But when most people say that one shall make himself at home they don’t mean: ‘Feel free to sleep next to me in my bed with your naked arse on my mattress and your dick tangling free’, hence I find it better to ask this first before things might get weird.” He explained and then laughed when the man asked him whether it was alright with him that he slept with underwear on. “No, that’s outrageous. Pervert!” he jested and shook his head. “Of course! You could even wear a fur coat to sleep and I wouldn’t care.” He told him. “That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t have hoped and enjoyed it if you’d give it a try and sleep naked together with me. I most definitely would have liked that.” the red head told his boyfriend with a wink.

Hearing the other say that he was taking care of the dishes when they had finished eating Ethan nodded and stood up from his seat, the towel falling back into place covering his manhood again. “Alright. And while you take care of the dishes and the kitchen I’ll unpack my stuff and get dressed.” And with that said he left the kitchen alone, dragged the suitcase and the bag from the floor into the bedroom where he unpacked his clothes, orderly making some space for them in Aaron’s wardrobe without messing anything up. He then quickly dropped his shaving stuff, perfume and hygiene things in the bathroom put his computer things into the living room and left what he wouldn’t need often anyway in the suitcase. It had not taken long for him to unpack until he was standing in the kitchen door dressed in grey jeans and a black hoodie saying ‘New York City’ in white, proud letters all over his chest. “Are you ready?” He asked. “To do … well, anything, just doing something?” he wanted to know.

“I wouldn’t really say it’s bugging me, but Meyer hasn’t replied to my text yet and I wondered what is the reason,” he replied to Ethan’s question. His boyfriend didn’t seem really interested, probably asking just to be nice so Aaron didn’t go into details. He can just call the former bully tomorrow and ask him, if there’s anything wrong. The ginger then flirtingly asked him what he has planned, grinning at him challengingly and the light-haired male couldn’t stop a grin to slowly spread on his face too. The way his boyfriend said it of course made him think about that, he was a simple guy after all, but there was no way he could take another round tonight, he could still feel the place Ethan stretched all too well. So since his former friend didn’t seem to be a shut in person, like Aaron sometimes was, he got an idea. “If I told you, it wouldn’t be fun, right?” he said teasingly, wiggling his eyebrows as his grin got even wider. It wasn’t too late to go out still and since people in the town might bother them, he had a perfect place where he wanted to take his boyfriend.

The ginger found his surprise at hearing his offer to accompany him to the pub funny and Aaron couldn’t help but agree. “It is unbelievable. I thought you would want to have as little interaction with the people here as possible.” It was sweet though, that he was willing to go with him despite hating it, which was what his boyfriend’s next words confirmed. “Just to make it clear, I don’t like all of them either, but some of them are decent men now. And you don’t have to like them, I wouldn’t expect that of you. If you’re civil to them, that’s enough for me.” But that wasn’t all that Ethan had to say about the matter. The part where he pointed out how he knows everyone here, while Aaron has resentments towards some of his own friends, while he didn’t even meet them yet, rubbed him the wrong way and he commented dryly, “Because you’re so fond of my exes, right? We’ll see how you’ll like it when you’ll meet some around town.” There was actually a chance there might be some girls he used to date at the bar, since from time to time they accompanied their partners and gathered there. And Aaron still remembered the surprise at finding out how much his boyfriend disliked Jenny or the other girls, so it wasn’t so irrational of him to not be thrilled about meeting his boyfriend’s ex-lover.

The whole ‘getting physical’ part made him raise his eyebrows and give the other an astounded look. “Who are you and what did you do with Ethan?” He shook his head and continued with a smile, “I don’t remember you ever wanting to get physical with anyone, but from what I see, I guess you really can take them on.” His eyes slid down over the ginger’s torso appreciatively, all of his muscles on display, since he wasn’t wearing any clothes. Aaron felt a bit superficial, but he did like the fact his boyfriend took care of his body. “What made you start working out?” he asked, really curious about the reason. If he remembered right, neither of them liked sports all that much back when they were kids. Playing games and reading comics was by far more enjoyable for them.

The comment about how it will be better for both of them, if Ethan cooked made Aaron playfully roll his eyes and say, “Ha ha ha.” But it was probably true, since they would end up eating out more often than not, if he was in charge of food. But then his boyfriend went on about how proud he was about it, suddenly cutting his sentence short, saying to never mind. That only made the light-haired male mind more, but he didn’t want to admit it. “Yes, when you moved to New York..?” he asked, keeping his voice nonchalant, urging his boyfriend to continue. He might not like hearing about it, but it will be far worse if the ginger would want to talk about something, but then deciding to not continue because Aaron would be bothered. Seeing how Ethan’s whole life was in New York, they would soon run out of things to talk, if this continued.

Aaron couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s bluntness. “Well I don’t mind your naked butt on my mattress or your dick dangling free either, so feel free.” With a wink, he was then informed that while his boyfriend didn’t care what he wore to bed, he did hope the light-haired male would sleep naked with him too. Aaron pursed his lips as if thinking about it, before asking with a grave voice, “Will my butt be in danger, if I decide to sleep naked next to you?” But their banter made him smile and he couldn’t keep a straight face anymore. There will be a warm Ethan lying next to him, so he didn’t need to worry about being cold and therefore didn’t mind sleeping without any clothes.

“Okay,” Aaron agreed, standing up himself, starting to clean the table. He wasn’t really worried about where Ethan will put his things, because his former friend knew him and wouldn’t mess his order. It didn’t take him long to finish, since he only had to rinse most of the things and put them into the dishwasher and the same went for the ginger, who returned, dressed this time, just as Aaron was finishing too. “I just need to dress and I’m ready to go. Will you be warm enough in that or do you need to put anything else on too?” he asked, already heading towards the bedroom. He got cold fairly easily, so he made sure to dress warmly.

On the way out, he picked up his coat, since the days were getting colder now. “Good to go?” he asked his boyfriend, turning to him one last time to make sure they were both ready, before they headed out.

When they were little, they didn’t really care about playing outside with the other kids, but when their parents made them go, they used to sneak to an old treehouse on the outskirts of the woods. There, they could hide and do what they wanted in peace, so Aaron always thought about it as their safe-house and he hoped Ethan will remember it too. It seemed like a nice place to visit again. But it wasn’t that close to the light-haired male’s current apartment, so he joked, “Hope you didn’t eat too much, because we have some walking to do before we get there.” The shortest path to there was straight through the town and the light-haired male hoped they won’t meet any familiar faces.

“Ask him!” Ethan responded with a raised eyebrow when the other told him that he was wondering about the reason why Meyer hadn’t replied to his last text message. “I wouldn’t waste my time wondering about whether something is up or not.” The ginger shrugged. It was a little odd though that Jake not replying to the other made the silver haired worried that the man had taken issue with something. And although he said it wasn’t bugging him it clearly was, the man was concerned about it and that sparked a curiosity in the subject of the conversation between their schoolyard bully and Aaron. “What did you write him then?” the red head wanted to know his brown eyes calmly resting on the librarian.

Smirking widely and not any less playfully when Aaron responded to his coquettish question what the other planned on doing with him that evening, telling him that it would be no fun if he told him what he had in mind Ethan raised his eyebrows. “A surprise! I love surprises.” Cornwell answered reaching his hand out, his fingers touching the silver haired man’s hand. “Well, if they are good that is.” he added with a wink and there was some real curiosity starting to built in him asking himself what the other man had in mind now since it would be a lame surprise if it was any of what they had been talking about before so it must be something different. There was that part of him that hoped that it was going to get rather dirty but then again that was probably not going to happen but who could possibly blame him for thinking about sex in such a situation?

“I have my doubts.” Ethan couldn’t help but to remark sharply when the silver haired expressed how some of those football player bullies had grown into decent men now. It was followed by the other saying that he didn’t expect the ginger to like them and that it’d be enough for him if he acted civil towards them. It made the red head grin, his brown eyes peering into blue. “I will behave as long as they do.” He stated clearly and he would. As long as they wouldn’t piss on his parade he wouldn’t piss on theirs. When he had commented about how the other judged some of his friends without knowing them while he didn’t as he knew all of those people it seemed to have made the other angry and rubbed him the wrong way again and Cornwell found himself hissed at, the other commenting about how they’d see how he’d like it to meet his exes in town. A wide smile was playing around the ginger’s lips as he was directly looking at the other. “I know your exes too.” He stated. “But you’re right. I hate them. All of them. I will hate to see them and now that I don’t have a reason to hide my hostility anymore, oh well.” he admitted. “But I love you and am possessive what makes me get jealous. What exactly is your excuse?” he asked the smile on his face getting a little smug. Aaron had even gotten pissed at the mere notion that he might be jealous when he had expressed his dislike of Cole after he had seen the photo. And his dislike of Richard also hadn’t had anything to do with the red head and him having been a couple but it was Aaron falsely blaming him for Ethan’s leave from the town and offering him a place to stay, what would have happened regardless of Richard being a thing or not – without him even a lot earlier on - just that the red head would have sat on the streets then.

Ethan laughed wholeheartedly when the other asked him who he was and what he’d done with Ethan after he had expressed how he was more than capable to physically defend himself too, adding that he didn’t remember the ginger ever wanting to get into a physical fight with anyone back then. “I still don’t. I’m not saying I’d attack them or start a physical fight, I’m saying I can and will defend myself, that’s all.” He explained but when he felt those intense blue eyes examining his body, looking at him appreciatively, telling him that it really looked like he could take them on it was making him feel really good about himself. Aaron checking him out in this way was actually enough to make his heart race. “You like what you see?” he commented, finding it also a little funny that the other man was checking him out right now and not vice versa. Upon being asked what made him start to work out he scratched his chin. “I had just recently started at the company back then and over the years, especially the last years, in university I had gotten rather floppy and it resulted in me feeling rather tired out easily and having back pain and all that shit so I figured I should probably do something about it. The final push I got when I got with Cole. He was basically my ideal, that elfish thing he had about him, similar to the figures and pictures of elves I owned but I couldn’t really see myself reflected in his apartment at all. He had all those pictures of muscle hunks, superheroes and I thought if I have to work out anyway I might as well try to get closer to his ideal too.” He explained chuckling about himself. “Damn did I suck when I started! I sucked so badly! I mean I knew I wasn’t sporty but I hadn’t thought I was that bad. I got ambitious though. I wanted to get stronger and do the heavy weights too.” Ethan let the other know. “Anyway, I severely underestimated the time and effort it took to get from where I was to this. It was a fight I tell you that. And I overestimated the effect it would have on Cole if I got gradually more fit and defined. It actually had none. He didn’t seem to find me any more or less attractive; he loved me all the same. He went to Japan even before I looked like I do now though.” the ginger told him.

He had tried to let it rest and to not talk about Richard again as this was the person from Ethan’s life that Aaron had shown the most intense and negative reaction to outright saying he couldn’t stand the older man but even though he said to nevermind the other was asking about it regardless and Ethan sighed and then shrugged. “Richard taught me how to cook decently! He is a fashion designer but cooking was his hobby and he could actually cook legit gourmet menus. And he always whistled or hummed while doing so, sometimes he even had that dorky happy smile on his face that was rather cute. Anyway he actually had the patience to show me how to cook otherwise I’d probably suck as bad as you do at it.” He told his boyfriend leaving out the part how those moments had usually been really intimate, not in a sexual way, at least not usually, but intimate nonetheless.

Ethan was busting out in laughter when the silver haired looked at him and gravely asked him in all seriousness whether his butt would be in danger if he slept naked with the ginger. It took him a while to calm from the laughter again and to regain his countenance but just when he wanted to speak a grin was appearing again and he was laughing all over again. “Seriously Aaron? Was it that bad and traumatic? I got the impression you enjoyed yourself quite a lot!” he asked shaking his head. “No. Your arse will be safe. My dick won’t take control of my body and suddenly fuck you all on its own while I’ll be sleeping next to you. It doesn’t have this ability.” The ginger told him jokingly. “In all seriousness though, you should know that I will only ever do it again with you if you really want to.” He made that clear.

“No mummy, I’m fine, I wear a t-shirt under this hoodie so it’s warm enough!” Ethan mocked Aaron when he was concerning himself over what the red head was wearing and whether that was warm enough what reminded Cornwell about his mother …. and Elayn for that matter. It was a really motherly thing somehow and it was enough to amuse the ginger while the librarian was getting dressed. And when he was dressed Cornwell looked at his attire and a smirk was forming on his lips. “Where do you plan to go with me? Siberia? If so I might need to get something warmer too after all.” He jested but opened the door and held it open for the silver haired man.

Once outside they were heading into the direction that led further into the centre of the town and he wondered where they’d go. Maybe that roller skating rink if it still existed or maybe something new had opened? Then Aaron spoke though and the skating rink it was not because he said that he hoped he had not eaten too much as it was apparently quite the walk. “We’ll see. Maybe you’ll have to carry me.” He jested with a grin as he walked next to the other, following him wherever he was about to go. Ethan had his hands in the pockets of his jeans and there was about a meter distance between their bodies. There was nothing that could have told anyone that they were anything more than friends. After that taxi incident he’d definitely not make any body contact with him outside the apartment anymore at all on his initiative as Aaron apparently couldn’t decide on being okay with being visible as a couple or not and Ethan wasn’t up for any bullshit resulting from it and being treated and shoved away like this.

He also realised that the writer was walking through the town rather fast and somehow the ginger was certain that it wasn’t because he was so excited to get wherever they were going but because he didn’t want anyone who knew him to see them together and that hurt so he was shoving it aside, trying not to think about it anymore when they turned around a corner and suddenly a male voice called out to Aaron. “Yo! Aaron! Bro!” He yelled and walked up to them. The ginger turned his head and saw Chandler Clarkson! His face went grim immediately. Chandler Clarkson, quarterback, had stuck his cock into every cheerleader in high-school, Meyers best friend back then and even worse of a bully and homophobe than Jake had been. He had been the one who had started to mock Ethan by saying that he had had a crush on Aaron because they were hanging out together that often and that closely too.

Chandler was as tall and broad as he remembered him to be. His skin was as white as clack and his hair pitch black. He had a square jaw and while his hair had looked as if he was a hedgehog back in high-school it was now just plain short and his hairline had receded. The man stood in front of them blocking their path in no time, he smiled and gave Aaron a friendly punch against his shoulder. “Where are you heading man? Louise has her ladies night with some other pregnant women tonight so I could go out again. She’s a dragon I tell you but those hormones make her incredibly horny too so it evens it out!” he said bumping his fist against Aarons. “Anyway, I’m heading over to the pub; the other guys are there too. We’re gonna drink, play foosball and darts maybe play pool you know. You should come along bro!” he stated and then looked at Ethan for the first time to see who Aaron’s company was and his grey eyes widened in surprise to see who it was.

“Cornwell…” he said and Ethan gave a nod looking at him with narrowed eyebrows but Chandler turned to Aaron again. “Why are you hanging out with that guy man? Didn’t you hear what he said yesterday, he’s a faggot! He probably wants to… you know… Aren’t you scared for your arse and if he might get his gay thing too close to you?” he expressed his genuine concern for his friend right there as if Ethan was not even there. There was some anger boiling in him but he was swallowing it down and grinned really widely and sarcastically instead turning towards Aaron. “Isn’t that a good question Aaron? Aren’t you scared of ‘my gay thing’ around you?” he examined the librarian closely to know exactly how he’d react now, his face, his movements, what he’d say. His remark had made Chandler focus on him and the former football player laughed. “It’s actually hilarious. You know, I made that shit up back then to mock you but who would have thought you’re actually a fucking cocksucker!” he commented and the grin on Ethan’s face just got wider. “It however isn’t a surprise that you still have the intellect of an amoeba!” he returned the favour and Chandler who had no idea what an amoeba was, was getting a little more aggressive, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “I don’t speak gayish!” he said and Ethan snorted. “It’s a wonder that you are capable of speaking at all and it’s not just inarticulate noises coming out of your mouth.” He said and he could see the flinch of Chandler’s fist and his carotid sticking out but the man restrained himself and kept from flinging a punch at the ginger and just mumbled “Fucking fag” before turning to Aaron again. “So you come along now or no?”

“I wouldn’t waste my time thinking about it either, but you brought him up and reminded me,” Aaron pointed out with a smile. As he said, it wasn’t really bothering him, but he did want to know what Meyer is thinking about his text. His boyfriend wanted to know what he wrote and Aaron looked at him, his eyebrows raised questioningly. “Didn’t I tell you? That I’m with you now and that we have other plans. Why? Should I not have said that?” It only now came to mind, that maybe Ethan didn’t want his coworker to know about his private affairs. He didn’t seem like that to the light-haired male, but he was now considering this option and if the situation was reversed, he might find it bothersome. “I’m sorry if I said too much. I thought he might not bother you anymore, if he knew,” he added apologetically. After what happened today, how upset the ginger was after the former bully talked to him, Aaron thought clearing things up might help. Jake now knew they were together, so maybe he won’t feel the need to bring him up again.

The sharp remark made Aaron sigh. “Fine, have your doubts. But at least give them a chance.” What his boyfriend said next, about behaving as long as the others will behave, caused the light-haired male to make a resigned face. “Yeah, I don’t think that will go well. I really doubt some of the guys know how to behave. Oh well, nothing I can do about that.” He tended to not overthink the things he wasn’t able to change, so he decided to just see how it will go. The town wasn’t that big so Ethan was bound to run into old classmatesand Aaron couldn’t shake the feeling that it will be unpleasant for him, when that happens. “What do you mean, oh well? You said you will behave and that goes for everyone in this town, even my exes.” With a smug smile, his boyfriend then told him he was a possessive guy and then asked what his excuse is. To that, Aaron just shrugged and said, “I don’t have an excuse.” He just didn’t like the guy and he didn’t feel like analyzing why exactly he doesn’t like him. “Why do you look so smug? Saying you’re possessive and jealous aren’t really good characteristics,” he added with furrowed brows. Now that he thought about it, he didn’t really see the possessive side of his boyfriend yet or it may be just wasn’t that obvious to him.

He couldn’t help but feel satisfied with himself, when he made Ethan laugh again. As a reply to his explanation, he exhaled dramatically and put a hand over his hearth. “Uff, I’m so relieved to hear that. I thought you might run around town, attacking everyone that looked at you funnily.” He shot the ginger a lopsided smile, before the other asked him if he likes what he sees and it turned his smile into an awkward one. He wasn’t used to being careful about how he behaves around Ethan, but maybe he shouldn’t do things that will make him look like a complete pervert right off the bat. So he only mumbled a short “I do,” in reply, focusing his eyes on his food. Hearing how his former friend got back pain at his age already, made him chuckle, but finding out the reason was Cole, made him inwardly roll his eyes. From his boyfriend’s mouth, the guy really did seem perfect, but Aaron decided he will act like an adult and he gracefully listened till the end, without any comments. As he always did, when encountering something he couldn’t handle really well, he made a joke. “That’s really nice, but please stay fit. I would still like you if you got floppy, but I prefer you like this much more,” he teased, a wide grin appearing on his face, as he imagined the other working out. “We should really hit the gym together, I wanna see how much you can lift.” The light-haired male wanted to propose a competition at first, but he knew he would lose badly. He was fit, but he almost always trained with his own weight, preferring cardio anyways.

Aaron huffed, before saying, “At least your exes were good for something. One made you start working out while the other taught you how to cook. And now I can enjoy the fruits of their labor.” There was a self-satisfied smirk on his face as he said it, trying to appear not bothered, but he at least tried to find something good about it. That was the closest to a compliment anyone would get him, so Ethan better appreciate the effort. But then he realized that his boyfriend basically just insulted him and the smirk disappeared, an offended expression replacing it. “Oi, I don’t suck! It’s only because I didn’t have enough practice. If I put my mind to it, I would probably be better than you!” he said self-assuredly, because seriously, how hard could it be to make a decent chilli?

It was nearly impossible not to join Ethan, who couldn’t stop laughing. “That’s good to know,” he commented with a chuckle to his boyfriend saying his dick won’t take control of his body, but when his boyfriend continued talking more seriously, he felt the need to say, “Don’t worry, I didn’t think you would do it without my consent anyway. It was just a joke.” This was still Ethan, his childhood best friend and Aaron knew he could trust him. But then a nagging thought appeared in his head, about how he trusted him back then, but the ginger still left him without a word. The action proved how little he knew about his former friend, so can he really trust him unconditionally again? Ethan was a different person now and suddenly he was having doubts. He shook them away though, because his boyfriend just made it clear how he would never force him and he trusted him enough to believe that.

Aaron gave the other a disapproving look, when he was called mummy and made fun of for dressing warmly, accompanying it with, “Really mature of you, Ethan. And just so you know, I plan to wallow in your misery when you’ll be freezing.” With his head held high he then walked out of the door that his boyfriend held open for him. The light-haired male knew for sure he would be cold in only a hoodie, but Ethan was old enough to know for himself. He did look forward to teasing the ginger, if he will really be cold and it brought a smile to his lips.

Hearing Ethan joke he might have to carry him, made Aaron groan. “You know, I think my back isn’t what it used to be. It’s this age you know, I might strain it. You know how that is, right?” A light smile was resting on his lips as he finished talking and he couldn’t help but chuckle at the image of him trying to carry the bigger man. But the nice atmosphere was gone, as a voice called out to him. It was Clarkson and the light-haired male couldn’t help but think ‘just my luck’. Ethan said earlier he will behave, as long as the other guys would behave and if there was someone Aaron knew for sure wouldn’t, it was this guy. He really wanted to have a nice evening with his boyfriend, so his priority here was to get away as soon as they can and not let Ethan and Chandler interact much.

The guy went straight on to talk about his pregnant wife and it made Aaron smile, when the other man compared her to a dragon. The light-haired male could easily imagine that. Then he invited Aaron to come along to the pub and the librarian was thinking of a way to politely refuse, when the black-haired man noticed Ethan. And then of course it all went exactly like he imagined it would go.

It always seemed to Aaron that he and the guys went along okay, but it was mostly because they didn’t care about each other too much. They accepted that he wasn’t really a sociable person and he tried to go out with them from time to time to stay in contact. There were only a few that he actually liked spending time with and Clarkson was definitely not one of them. And the reason why was pretty obvious, when the guy actually used the words ‘his gay thing’. It left Aaron speechless for a moment, his mouth opened to say something but he really didn’t know what to say. He almost felt sorry for the guy, but at the same time he wondered, if this was the consequence of getting hit on the head too many times or was Clarkson always like that. His boyfriend didn’t plan to stay quiet at this insult and let the light-haired male handle it, instead he just had to poke him. He shot Ethan a scolding look, because there was really no need to stoop to the level of the guy in front of them, before turning back to the quarterback, who just didn’t know when to shut up. He made another insulting remark and Ethan didn’t even flinch, getting back at him effortlessly. In that moment, it was really hard for Aaron to hold back laughter, because seriously, how could a guy like Clarkson even finish high-school, but then the bloke called his boyfriend a ‘fucking fag’ and it made him turn back serious in a moment.

“I’m not coming to the pub, because I have plans with Ethan and I would appreciate, if you didn’t call him names.” He sighed, before continuing, knowing full well that the guy in front of him doesn’t care what he wants and won’t listen to him anyway. “This may come as a shock, but we are dating now.” Clarkson just started at him, not saying anything, so Aaron sighed again, before saying, “We’re together, like together together.” He tried to make his point clear, by pointing at himself and his boyfriend a few times, but the black haired male was still just staring at him dumbfounded and the light-haired male had a feeling he will get punched in the face real soon. “We are fucking, Clarkson.” At least that earned a response from the dumb bloke and Aaron rolled his eyes, because was being vulgar the only way he could get his point across?

The reaction he got, wasn’t the one he was expecting though, that was getting punched in the face. Instead, the quarterback started laughing, punching him in the shoulder with too much force, making him rub the spot, before saying, “Man, don’t joke with me. I’m not that stupid. It’s a joke right?” Aaron only shook his head and the other’s voice was getting more hostile as he took a step back. “What, you got tired of fucking chicks and now you’re after guys too?” If there was some consolation for the librarian, it was that at least he was seen as a top in this relationship, so there was no way he was correcting that. But his nice evening was already ruined by this asshole, so he was done with being nice. “Yeah, that’s it. But you don’t have to worry, you’re totally not my type,” he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, while his lips stretched into a forced grin. He knew it was stupid to lose his temper, but the guy didn’t need to be so crude and insulting. He was still bracing for a hit that never came, Clarkson just looking at him with surprise, mixed with disgust. “Well then, we have places to go, so…,” his words trailed off, as he turned to his boyfriend, nudging his head towards the direction of the tree house, where they were headed before they were stopped. “Shall we?”

His eyes opened wide and there was a questioning look crossing his face when Aaron told him what exactly he had told Meyer before the other had started to not respond to him anymore. “Wait!” he said wanting to get that into perspective and to be clear about this now. “You told him that we are together as in that we’re a couple?” Ethan asked. “Not just that we’re hanging out together today?” he wanted to know as this had been what he had previously understood from what the other man had said. “So you actually told him?” And as this was sinking in his heart was starting to jump and his stomach began to flutter since this somehow made him incredibly happy. Vigorously shaking his head when the silver haired started to apologise he let the spoon fall into the bowl and leaned over the table, taking the librarian’s face between both of his hands, firmly pressing his lips onto the other’s, kissing him deeply. Even when the long kiss broke he kept the other’s face between his hands and his hazel eyes looked into Aaron’s. “Don’t be sorry. I am really glad that you told him.” He made that clear and added. “I’m certain he’ll come around anyways. He genuinely seems to have made up his mind about LGBT people. He’s probably just surprised, that’s all.” The red head told his boyfriend.

“I said I’ll behave towards your idiotic footballer friends. I never said I’ll play nice towards those bloody wenches you fucked.” The ginger replied rather sharply, his smile sweet as sugar. “I’d like to make out with you in front of their faces and let them taste their own medicine because you’re mine now and they can fuck off!” he said in an overly nice voice, his eyes glaring deadly. That smile as well as the smug one died off though when Aaron responded that he had no excuse for disliking his exes and then asked him why he was so smug now as being possessive and jealous were no desirable characteristics and he rolled his eyes as far as they got instead, leaving out an exhausted sigh. “Interesting what you focus on again. Seems a little like cherry-picking what you want to hear and respond to instead of looking at what I am actually communicating to you.” The ginger remarked. “I know that ideally I should be much less possessive and less jealous. That’s not the point though. The point I was making was that I fucking love you Aaron and that this is the reason I get jealous of your exes and hence hate them. Whereas you get pissed off by the mere notion that you could potentially have enough romantic feelings for me to even get something like jealous of my exes and that was why I asked you what your excuse is because it absolutely makes no sense that you can’t stand two people you’ve never met just like that if you aren’t jealous or have romantic feelings for me.” He explained it to the other man in a way that didn’t leave any room for the other to pick it apart and focus on something else or so he hoped it wouldn’t.

Again Aaron got extremely awkward, confirming in a really quiet shy tone when Ethan had asked him whether he liked what he saw as the other man had been checking out his body and it was really cute and funny too what made him chuckled. “Why do you look away then now?” he asked him with a playful grin on his lips. “There is no reason to not look if you enjoy the sight.” He added with a wink. The ginger didn’t mind the man’s eyes on him at all. He understood it as a huge complement and he actually was happy about Aaron finding him attractive enough to check him out too and not being the only one who openly stared at the other and lusted over his body.

After he had finished answering Aaron’s question about what had made him start to work out the other told him to please stay fit because even though he’d still like him if he got floppy he preferred him how he was now. It made Ethan bust out into laughter and he shook his head, looking at the other amused. “Don’t worry. I don’t want to go back to the back pain and the tiredness I felt when I’ve gotten floppy.” He told the other. “Aside from that I have made it a habit to relieve stress like this! When Cole left for Japan I was feeling devastated and heartbroken although I had encouraged him to not let the opportunity pass so I needed something to compensate that loss with and I didn’t start drinking but I started body building instead for quite a while but am back to working out more moderately than that since quite some years now.” the ginger told the other some more about his life. “Ever gone through something like this? Heartbreak? Lovesickness?” he asked but he was sure that the answer was a definite ‘No’ for the other judging from what he had told him about his past love life before.

There was surprise on his face when Aaron suddenly expressed wanting to go to the gym together to see how much Ethan could lift. “I thought you hated the gym?” he asked with a raised eyebrow since the other had expressed so before when the ginger had declined playing soccer with him and Meyer telling him that he went to the gym. “But if you changed your mind about that, sure, you can come to my gym and I show you.” The ginger shrugged.

A snorting laugh came from him when the other huffed before saying that at least his exes had been good for something as one made him work out and the other taught him how to cook and now Aaron could benefit from it. “Yeah, Cole didn’t make me work out though. I just did it. He has no idea that he has been an aspect of inspiration behind it actually.” Ethan clarified. “And I’d like that to stay this way. Don’t want him to get smug about it.” He laughed. “As for Richard he was my first man. So it’s pretty natural that the experiences I gained in that relationship were and are beneficial in the following relationships. I don’t think he cares though. If there is someone who feels zero jealousy it’s him. It’s unbelievable to me but he was always completely fine with that whole poly lifestyle thing that I hated and couldn’t bear.” He explained. Aaron had wanted him to talk about Richard with him after all since even though he had said ‘Nevermind’ the other had wanted him to continue talking. The way the man then protested when Ethan had said that he sucked at cooking and that he could cook better than him if he just put his mind to it made him bust out in another fit of laughter. “Of course.” He said sarcastically. “The man who serves popcorn with whisky will definitely be a legendary cook if he just focussed on it.” Ethan mocked him. “I tell you what my sweet top-chef, tomorrow you’ll put your mind to it and you will cook something that’s a lot better than what I could ever cook. I will put the pizza service at speed dialling already.” He challenged him, smirking cockily.

“I never said I was mature.” He winked when the other was criticising his level of maturity followed by him stating that he’d wallow in his misery if the ginger would start to freeze outside. “Lovely.” He commented with a laugh. “Thing is I won’t. It’s not really cold outside and I don’t get cold easily.” He told him still amused by the whole situation but the amusement was instantly killed by Chandler’s appearance.

“Yes, I’m a faggot Chandler, we got it, do you have anything new to tell or are you going to repeat the same thing again and again like a broken record player?” he commented in a bored tone of voice but then he saw Aaron turning towards the other man seriously, telling him that he wouldn’t go to the pub, that he’d hang out with Ethan telling the brainless idiot in front of them that the librarian would appreciate it if he didn’t call the red head names. It was sweet but the ginger raised his eyebrow questioningly anyway as the other couldn’t think that this would work at all could he? Aaron however spoke further and the one who looked shocked now wasn’t Chandler Clarkson but the ginger himself and his chin nearly hit the floor as it dropped listening to the silver haired trying to make the former quarterback understand that they were a couple now leading to him outright saying that they were fucking.

He had not expected that! He had definitely not seen it coming at all. It took him completely off guard. He would have thought that Aaron would not say a word about them being together in this type of situation to this guy, much less that they were having sex. And it baffled him. In a good way! And as soon as the surprise had calmed down and he had picked up his chin from the ground there was a satisfied and loving smile playing around the ginger’s lips and his hazel eyes looked at the other really warmly and happily almost completely forgetting that Clarkson was there. His presence just got back into his mind when the other man made a move at Aaron and Ethan had nearly landed a punch right into Chandler’s face because he had expected something violent but the red head didn’t have to get into a fist fight after all as the black haired man thought that the writer was kidding him and joking and that he absolutely couldn’t be serious about having sex with another man.

When the other told him that he wasn’t joking Chandler was getting more aggressive again and made some remark about the Wilson having gotten tired of chicks and now banging men too, looking at him with disgust on his face, delivering the unsophisticated ignorance one expected from Clarkson. Aaron was getting back at him saying that this was how it was but that he needn’t worry because he wasn’t his type, what made Ethan let out a suppressed laugh and he had to bite his bottom lip to not laugh out loud because then they’d really be in a physical fight without a doubt. As the bully was heading his way, leaving them be, there was a wide smile on Ethan’s face and his eyes shone as he looked at Aaron. He badly wanted to hug him, kiss him, touch him, embrace him, at least some body contact but he kept himself from it what led to him making some weird arm movement’s before he took them back into his pockets without having touched the other continuing their way. “Thanks.” He said because the other had stood up for him after all even though it had been a lost course from the beginning. “I’m really happy about this.” he stated nudging the other with his shoulder thinking that this was collegial enough to not be shoved away by him. “That you didn’t deny it and owned up to our relationship I mean.” He clarified, still grinning like a child on Christmas and birthday together, trying to not jump the man, wrap his arms around him and kiss his face but it was difficult. “I wanna hug and kiss you!” he expressed then as it was getting really hard to suppress that urge.

The way Ethan asked him, if he told Meyer they were a couple, not just hanging out, made Aaron confused, because wasn’t this what he was telling his boyfriend all this time? He tried recalling what exactly he told him the first time, but he wasn’t sure. So when he was asked again, if he actually told the former bully, he replied with an apologizing expression. “Yeah, I’m sorry if that’s not okay.” But then the ginger leaned over and abruptly kissed him, which only confused the light-haired male further. It seemed that his boyfriend is really happy that Aaron told Meyer they were together, even though it didn’t seem so at first and the light-haired male couldn’t help but wonder what the big deal was. Did Ethan think he will hide their relationship? The thought was unsettling. About Meyer, the ginger said he shouldn’t worry and that he’ll definitely come around. While the light-haired male knew that the former jock might be surprised about it, he was actually wondering how he’ll react to the fact Aaron is dating someone. But he kept that to himself, not wanting to again point out the fact he never was in a serious relationship before, so he just nodded and smiled in reply.

“Like you’re behaving right now? I’m pretty sure my exes don’t give two fucks about me anymore and are more than happy to leave me to you.” Aaron said with his eyebrows raised high, but his lips were tugging into a smile, because his boyfriend was using this sweet voice while there were daggers shooting out of his eyes. He at least hoped that Ethan will not use the words ‘idiotic’ and ‘bloody wenches’ in front of anyone else. “And we talked about people at the pub, which kind of includes a few of my exes that go there from time to time too. Anyways, to avoid further confusion, I would appreciate it, if you would be civil to people here in general.” He beamed a smile at the person sitting in front of him, hoping he will just be a little nicer and not cause too much commotion. Although who was he kidding? They both already made a commotion at the reunion, so the ginger insulting some people probably won’t even matter to them, because they would have more interesting things to gossip about. Then the ginger’s demeanor changed and an exhausted sigh came out of him as he said that Aaron only hears what he wants to and not what he wants to communicate to him. “What? When did I get pissed off at the mere notion that I have romantic feelings for you?” was his baffled reply. “I just had sex with you, doesn’t that qualify as having at least some romantic feelings? Because let me tell you, I wouldn’t do that with any other guy, my best friend or not.” This analysis of feelings was what he always hated about relationships. “How am I supposed to like the guys you only speak well off and hold in such a high esteem, while the first things you basically told me when you returned, was what a shitty friend I was and how I never cared for you?” There was irritation seeping into his voice. What did his boyfriend want to hear from him anyways, it’s not like Aaron knew exactly why he was feeling the way he was feeling, so how was he supposed to explain it to someone else?

His revelation about liking his boyfriend’s body was accompanied with a chuckle and then the ginger asked him why look away, if he likes what he’s seeing. That made the light-haired male raise his head and he was serious this time, as he said, “Because I don’t want you to think I only like your body.” It was something he was used to hearing from his partners and in most cases it was true, but it wasn’t so with Ethan.

Aaron listened to his boyfriend telling him how devastated he was, when he was left alone and he couldn’t help but remember how he felt back then. “Good for you that you found something healthy to occupy yourself with. It’s really easy to slip into bad habits like that.” Like fucking everyone that crosses your way, trying to fill the hole that was left behind. Aaron unwantedly recalled those words that were said to him a long time ago, but he still didn’t believe they were true. Maybe he had a period where he really did change his partners frequently, but it had nothing to do with him trying to occupy himself. He just liked sex, that was all there was to it. If anything, he might became more distant and refused to let another person close enough to hurt him again, but that was all. And while those thoughts were swirling around his head, his boyfriend asked him if he ever felt like that, heartbroken. The light haired male slowly lifted his head, fixing his gaze on the ginger and his chest constricted uncomfortably as he uttered a quiet “Yes.” He definitely had his heart broken by the man sitting in front of him, but not in the same way as him. So he looked down into his plate, before adding an explanation. “Heartbroken that is, I never felt lovesickness as far as I know.” There was a half smile on his face, but it was forced.

“I hate the gym,” the light-haired male confirmed, because he just found it torturous to lift weights numerous times, while standing still and working only one muscle group at a time. “But I’ll go, only so I can see how much you can lift.” There was a wide grin on his face, before he added, “Just don’t expect me to train with you. I’ll stick to the treadmill and maybe do some TRX exercises.” Aaron remembered seeing a TRX band suspended in one corner of the gym on his rare visits, when he was dragged along with the guys, but he was pretty sure almost no one uses it. Imagining his boyfriend getting all sweaty while lifting was actually a nice thought and the light-haired male suddenly didn’t hate the gym so much anymore.

Ethan laughed at his comment about his exes, before explaining how Cole didn’t know that he was the reason for the ginger’s working out and it made Aaron shrug, “Not like I’ll be telling him about that.” About Richard, he added, “I really can’t imagine that either, being totally comfortable with your partner sleeping with others. How long did you manage to stay with him?” The light-haired male was proud of himself; he could do this, talking about his former’s friend life normally, after he left this town. He still felt bothered, but at the same time he wanted to know what happened to his former friend while he was away. He felt like he didn’t know anything about Ethan anymore. His boyfriend then brought up popcorn and whisky again and Aaron still didn’t know what the big deal was, because it wasn’t the first time he had popcorn with whisky. He could have popcorn with anything anyway. He frowned at the smirking ginger and decided to accept the challenge. “I said I needed practice and it’s not like I can get it in one day, but fine! I’ll put my mind to it tomorrow and cook something.” There was no way he was going to back down now. He’ll think of something…

The uncomfortable encounter with Clarkson passed better than Aaron expected, but he was sure the black haired man will spread the word about what happened to everyone at the pub. He was irritated by the fact that they couldn’t even cross the town without getting bothered and it was not how he imagined this evening to go. At least his boyfriend seemed happy. The ginger flailed his arms and the light-haired male watched him with a raised eyebrow, because he wasn’t sure what exactly Ethan wants to do. But as the other thanked him and said he was happy, Aaron’s face expression softened and a smile played on his lips. He was sure his boyfriend will be pissed off by their former schoolmate, the mood completely ruined, but maybe they can still enjoy their date tonight after all.

The surprise he felt hearing Ethan’s next words left him stunned for a moment and he couldn’t believe what he just heard. His boyfriend made a clarification that he’s happy, because Aaron owned up to their relationship. He never in his life denied another person, even if he would prefer some things staying private, so his former best friend thinking he would hide their relationship really wounded him. What did Ethan thought of him exactly? That he was a person who values other people’s opinion above everything? The light-haired male couldn’t believe it at first, but obviously the ginger thought exactly that and it made him angry. So when his boyfriend told him that he wants to hug and kiss him, Aaron reacted rougher than he intended to. He pushed the taller man against the wall of the building they were just passing and crushed their lips together, making their teeth collide, but he didn’t care. During their fight earlier today, he said that Ethan can kiss him whenever he likes and even if it was said in a fit of rage, he wanted to show his boyfriend he won’t go down on his word. There weren’t that many people in the area, but it still made Aaron feel uncomfortable and self-conscious, which only fueled his anger further. He ended the aggressive kiss when he ran out of air and it left him panting. Pushing away from the wall and the warm body pressed against his, he continued walking like nothing happened, ignoring the few weird glances they were receiving.

He knew if he spoke, he would say something he would regret later, because he was still feeling bothered, even though the kiss let him vent some of the frustration. They were almost there and as the light-haired male turned down the last street that led to the forest, he was sure his boyfriend realized where he was taking him. He pulled out his phone as they left behind the light of street-lamps, lighting up the way in front of them. “I haven’t been here in ages, but I think it’s still standing. You remember how often we hid here?” he remarked in what he hoped was a casual voice. Aaron really didn’t want another fight right now and so he busied himself with trying to see if the tree house is still stable, when they finally reached it. It seemed like someone did some repairs on it, changing a few boards, so the kids must still use it and it looked sturdy enough. When he made sure it will hold their weight, he turned towards his boyfriend, pointing towards it with his finger. “So, wanna go up?”

“No can do!” he shook his head when Aaron expressed how much he’d appreciate it if he could be civil towards the people in town in general. “Sorry.” He apologised. As much as he’d like to do this for the other some people he knew he couldn’t be civil to. His parents were one of them, the priest another one and he’d probably fail with the man’s exes even if he tried. Ethan was also more than willing to test the silver haired male’s theory that those chicks didn’t give a shit about the librarian anymore by actually wildly kissing him in front of them. Other than those people he’d try to keep it civil and professional as long as they did. That had been his intention when he had arrived in that shithole after all.

At the question of the silver haired when he had gotten pissy at the notion that he might have romantic feelings for him and felt jealous the ginger smiled a joyless smile. “When I showed you the photos and you expressed your dislike for Cole and I stated that you seem to be a little jealous after all, remember.” The ginger reminded the other. Granted Ethan had not gotten that reaction towards him saying that Aaron apparently was a little jealous after all and that he was glad that this was the case. He had not gotten it at all and the only thing he had been able to think off afterwards was that the idea of Aaron getting jealous because he had such feelings for the ginger must have angered him.

That question was followed by Aaron stating that he had just had sex with Ethan wanting to know if that alone wasn’t a qualifier for the writer having at least “some” romantic feelings for him. “I don’t know. You tell me!” he prompted the other male just to add:”If I take into account what you told me about your previous sex life I think it’s safe to say that it doesn’t since you, much like my friend Marco, had the tendency to sleep with people whom you didn’t give a rat’s ass about.” He then raised an eyebrow when the other man pointed out his gender saying that he’d not do this with any other man, best friend or not. “I see…” he said a stern expression on his face. “So have or haven’t you romantic feelings for me now? Or how should I understand your vague ‘we fucked doesn’t that qualify as some romantic feelings because, you know, I wouldn’t usually fuck someone of your gender’?” the red head wanted to know.

Ethan sighed deeply when the other got more irritated about him, telling him how he was supposed to like the men the ginger was only speaking highly of whereas he had basically called him a shitty friend. “That is jealousy talking right there. I know one or two things about that.” the ginger stated. “Don’t deny it. You’re jealous!” he pinned the other down on this. “If you’d look at it from a place of neutrality and without jealousy you’d have seen that especially of Richard I have by far not only said positive stuff. I actually told you about how I was miserable every time when he brought someone else and that he was often really, really inconsiderate, that I started smoking because of this relationship and all of that. But you apparently overlooked that because I too said something positive about him.” He explained. “Beside this I never blamed you for my pain and suffering back when we were teens. I didn’t say nor think you were a shitty friend. I actually told you I didn’t blame you at all. And I really don’t. It’s not your fault. But it’s also true that you didn’t look closely at me. I just wasn’t that interesting to you and you had other prioritise, other things that you cared for more and it’s fine, you had other things on your mind and I was just a friend you took for granted as people take many people and things in life for granted.” He shrugged. “But it appears that there is more to all of this than just simple jealousy because you seem to blame yourself and hearing my side of this might have triggered that feeling inside of you that you did something wrong or have been a shitty friend. But that’s your mind, it’s not mine and those aren’t my words either. Maybe your jealousy isn’t necessarily born from romantic feelings after all but the idea that someone else but you was lifting me up and giving me the love you didn’t, that someone else made me happy and that fact bothers you.” He tried to analyse it.

Surprised he looked at the man when he told him that he was looking away from his body now and had acted that awkward about this because he didn’t want him to think that he only liked his body. “That thought didn’t even occur to me.” Ethan assured the man a little amused. “Physical desire is a part of a romantic and sexual relationship, so nothing wrong with liking and looking at your partner’s body.” The red head stated. “I look at you the same way! I always looked at your body like this! So why shouldn’t you check me out. I actually like it! I want my partner to be hot for my body as I am for his. Just as I want him to love me as I love him!” he explained, really not getting why the other was thinking he’d think that he just cared for his body if he was looking at him and appreciating the sight.

He had definitely not expected Aaron to say that he had indeed been heartbroken although he claimed that he had never felt lovesick what was a little odd because for Ethan personally that had always gone hand in hand. It was also obvious that the memories seemed to still pain the man and he was narrowing his eyebrows in concentration as he was examining him feeling as though there was something the other had not told him. “So there was a woman you actually had deep feelings for after all.” He remarked. “We don’t have to talk about it if you still aren’t over her and whatever happened though.” the ginger stated.

His first impulse was to ask the silver haired why he wanted to go then if he hated the gym after he had confirmed that but that was overthrown by a wide, playful grin when the writer told him that he’d still go only to see how much Ethan could lift. “You only want to see my muscles flex and stare at my body while I lift weights, admit it.” He teased him, the grin getting cockier. The nature of the grin changed a little to amused when the man said that he shouldn’t expect him to train with him, telling him he’d stick to the treadmill. “The treadmill? Seriously?” he asked. “Man, I hate that thing. Not a fan of cardio in general. It’s a pain in the arse.” The ginger found. “But I might lean against the wall behind you and motivate you.” He winked actually wanting to look at Aaron’s arse as he was running.

Cornwell had to think when the other asked him how long he had managed to stay with Richard because it had been long ago after all. “I lived with him for like three and a half years or something, maybe closer to four, not sure.” the ginger said. “But we weren’t a couple at first. I just moved in as a friend so that I had a place to stay.” He told him. “I crushed on the man damn hard pretty quickly though and there had been this chemistry and tension between us from the start.” Ethan told him. “He wanted me as I wanted him but he played all responsible and blocked every bloody attempt I made at first because I was seventeen and he was in his mid-thirties. I tried to seduce him and I managed to! Although Elayn doesn’t seem to care or believe this no matter how often I tell her, she hates him and thinks he’s disgusting and seduced me, exploited me and stole my innocence. She already hated him back in college urging me to leave him.” He laughed. “I was awkward in my seduction though, hella awkward I tell you that. But one night, I was coming back from some college party and was sweaty and wanted to shower so I dropped my clothing all over the place and ended up in the bathroom with just my boxers on and I ran in on him as he was standing in front of the mirror with a towel around his waist and I couldn’t resist although he had been blocking everything before. I just kissed him, kissed him deep. He kissed me back but then said we definitely shouldn’t. I told him I didn’t care, that I knew he was into me too and shoved my hand under his towel, kissing him again, acting much more confident than I was.” The red head told Aaron and shrugged. “The morning after that night in which I lost my virginity he gave me the ‘Don’t get the wrong idea about this, I’m polygamous. I don’t believe in monogamy.’ talk… sounding so cool, edgy, unconventional and sophisticated and I was totally seeing it, not knowing how monogamous and ‘conservative’ relationship wise I turned out to be. I was suffering under this agreement and arrangement even though he said he loved me till the end. But he said this to someone else too and I couldn’t bear it.”

That cheer and happiness of his wasn’t supposed to last long at all. At him expressing that he’d like to kiss the other the man was just looking pissed off again and in the blink of an eye Ethan’s body was brutally pushed against the uneven stone wall of an old building, making him flinch as some sticking out stones were hitting against his scapula and coccyx painfully as the other was overdoing whatever he was doing there. There was confusion to see in the hazel eyes and he wasn’t understanding anything anymore and he was about to express so, mouth slightly opened and just in that one moment he actually asked himself if the other’s hand or fist would hit his jaw next but it were the man’s lips that were smashed against his own and it was all too fast and confusing for him to make up his mind, he wasn’t even kissing back, he felt the other’s teeth against his, the tongue and that body pressing his body against that stupid old house and the ginger just let him do it as his mind was occupied with figuring out what the man’s fucking problem was and why he was furious again and acted that overly harsh.

When Aaron let go of him, panting, turning around to continue his way Ethan was staring baffled, shaking his head. “Okayy!” he said unbelieving, moving his hurting shoulder as he was starting to walk again, irritation about that behaviour forming within him. He had just wanted to hug and kiss him… was that this bad… bad enough to get crazy mad and acting as though he wanted to smash him through the fucking wall of that house? He didn’t say anything anymore. He didn’t feel like talking to the man anymore and absolutely not like kissing or hugging him in the slightest. He realised where they were going when they left the city and the road and approached the forest and there were indeed some memories coming back to him. Some fond of his childhood and some that had felt just as painful and lonely as his teenaged self had usually felt when he had sat there with Aaron wanting to be with him. His answer to Aaron now suddenly getting nostalgic as if nothing odd had just happened between them at all was just a grumpily mumbled:”Whatever.” zhough.

Arriving at the tree house he was surprised to see that it was still intact and apparently still in use. He had not thought that kids these days would have any interest in tree houses or playing outside anyway. Aaron didn’t have to ask him if he wanted to get up there, he did on his own. Running-up against it, jumping onto one step of the ladder and then pulling himself up there with his arms, landing his arse on the wood, getting comfortable, lighting a cigarette! He deeply inhaled the smoke and looked up into the sky. As kids they had been there nearly every day. It had been so carefree and innocent and they had seemed like nothing would ever come between them. Everything had been perfect, that place had been perfect for him, their relationship pure and unclouded. Then puberty had hit them and it had all changed drastically. They had hid there less often. And the time they had spent there had gotten more awkward for Ethan as he had had a crush on Aaron and had looked at him with totally different eyes. And the last time, it had been in the last year in high-school, the ginger had gone there to run away from a family gathering and he had found Aaron making out with one of those damn wenches in that tree house, in what had always been their place, where he had often felt the wish to get intimate with Aaron and it had cut deep and he had never come back to it since then.

  • 2 weeks later...

Aaron rolled his eyes and shook his head when his boyfriend replied and refused to even try and be civil. “You’re hopeless.” Letting out a dejected sigh, he continued, “Well whatever, it’s not like we’ll be spending a lot of time in company of my exes or anything, at least not if I can help it.” A mischievous smile was playing around his lips again, as he looked up at his boyfriend and teased, “Unless you want to? You did say you want to make out in front of them…” He let his words trail off, smirking at his boyfriend as he waited for his reply.

Ethan brought up his childish behavior from before and unfortunately the light-haired male did remember that. But not wanting to talk about it, he mumbled, “Yeah, no…I don’t remember that.” But then another hit followed, as the ginger said he should tell him, if sleeping with someone qualifies as having romantic feelings. Aaron flinched and said with a lopsided smile, “Ouch. I did brought that on myself, didn’t I?” He wouldn’t really say he didn’t care at all about people he slept with, but it was not like he cared all that much either, so he wisely didn’t comment on that. The ginger continued with a stern expression, asking him to clarify his feelings and it made the light-haired male groan and rub the root of his nose, before leaning his head on his hand, glancing sideways at his boyfriend. “Come on, give me a break. I’m really trying here, you know? You just came back and turned my whole world upside down and I’m still trying to understand what exactly is happening,” he said softly, really meaning it. With his former friend’s return, his whole life spun uncontrollably out of his hands and he was still trying to put it back together, fitting Ethan in it.

“Ugh, did anyone tell you, you talk too much?” was Aaron reply to his boyfriend’s analysis of him, his head now being held up with both of his hands. “I feel like I’m talking to a therapist. No, even worse, it feels like I’m talking to my brother!” he said, his voice sounding grumpy. “Did you know that Caleb became a priest? No, of course you didn’t, how could you. Seriously, a priest! I sometimes think I’m adopted.” His younger brother really was a complete opposite of him and he still couldn’t understand his life choices, but he did make their parents happy and Aaron could do whatever he wanted because of that, so he didn’t complain much. “But you probably don’t care about my brother,” he continued, realizing he was blabbering, trying to focus on the real topic of their conversation. “Okay, fine. I’m jealous. But you’re wrong about one thing. I never had ‘other things I cared for more’ or ‘took you for granted’. You pretty much meant the most to me back then. I mean dude, I spent almost all of my time with you! Do you know how many girls dumped me, because of that very reason?” Aaron rolled his eyes, remembering that, but now he could kind of see why they were so bothered in the first place. “And I don’t regret anything!” he added with a firm tone. “But I’m very bad at…this,” he flailed his hands in circles, trying to point out the current situation, “So can you please stop psychoanalyzing me now?” Some of the things Ethan said really hit home and it was unpleasant hearing them.

“Huh?” came Aaron’s dumfounded reply at Ethan’s misinterpretation. He wasn’t talking about a girl, but of course his boyfriend would think so. After a few moments of confusion, he couldn’t help himself but lough out loud. “I’m sorry, I know it’s not funny, but no, there’s no woman.” Continuing more seriously, he said, “I’m pretty sure I told you yesterday already, but it was you. I really was heartbroken when you left, Ethan.” The light-haired male suddenly felt awkward, admitting to this, so he tried to think of something else to talk, to change the subject. “By the way, do you have any favorite foods?” It wasn’t really a great conversation starter, but it was the only things that pooped in his mind. Also, he really wanted to know if his former friend’s tastes changed since then.

The light-haired male snickered. “Of course, I only want to stare at your body, why else would I bother to go there?” he replied with a grin, which turned into laughter as his boyfriend said he’ll motivate him from behind. “Yeah right, I think you would be more of a distraction than motivation for me, if you stood behind me while I run. But feel free to join me any time,” he said teasingly, before he remembered, “Wait! Didn’t you say you’ll go running with me? We really should do that.”

Aaron patiently listened to the whole story, remembering how easily he was swept away just yesterday, but he didn’t remember Ethan being awkward at all. He felt annoyed with himself, because he could understand the older man all too well and if he wasn’t Ethan’s ex, he sounded like someone Aaron might get along with. Still, hearing how much his former friend got hurt by this relationship made him dislike the guy, but he didn’t voice it, instead he commented with a chuckle, “You can tell your friend that she didn’t need to worry, I’m sure there was no more innocence to steal from you. I mean you shoved your hand under his towel, what’s a guy supposed to do? That doesn’t sound innocent to me.” A small smile appeared on his lips, as he continued thoughtfully, “But you know, if I think back, you kind of always were like this. I never saw you in a relationship, but I can imagine if you were, then you would be serious about it, that person being the only one for you.”

His boyfriend didn’t kiss him back like he usually did and he looked confused about what just happened, but Aaron was still seething and he didn’t bother to explain himself. They walked in silence, which agreed with the light-haired male, because he knew they would get in a fight otherwise and he wasn’t feeling up to it. He couldn’t stop thinking about the ginger’s words. He could admit he had a lot of partners and mostly they were all just fuck buddies, which wasn’t really flattering in terms of relationships, but all of those women knew what they were getting into. Also, one night stands were really rare for him, preferring to stick around the person who satisfies him in bed than searching for a new partner all the time. When he was younger, he tried dating the girls he was sleeping with, but they drove him crazy and so those relationships ended fairly quickly. Getting older, he learned that this isn’t for him, so he stuck to plainly physical association and he didn’t know why that is such a bad thing, but people tended to judge him for it. He never cheated on the person he was currently with, he just didn’t want everyone to know about what he was doing with whom at home. Not to mention he was dumped more often than not, which still left a sour taste in his mouth.

Now he finally committed himself, but his boyfriend didn’t even trust him to own up to this relationship. That hurt more than Aaron was willing to admit. Or maybe it hurt so much because it was his former friend that had such a bad opinion of him. He took a glance towards the ginger, wanting the guy next to him to hug and console him, which was confusing, since that guy was partly responsible for his foul mood. Maybe his boyfriend had a point though, because the light-haired male still didn’t fully switch to thinking about Ethan as his lover, not his best friend.

It was obvious Ethan was dissatisfied with him, because he only mumbled ‘whatever’ in reply to his question and he left it at that. No point in forcing the conversation. Arriving to their destination felt like a relief, because he could busy himself with other things, instead of rethinking what just happened. His question about climbing up was ignored again, as his boyfriend was already pulling himself up and lighting a cigarette when he got settled. The action made Aaron press his lips together and remark, “Aren’t we agile?” But he followed after his former friend, getting comfortable too. As kids, the tree house seemed really big, but the light-haired male was painfully aware how small it really was, when he tried to lie down. After some wiggling around, he settled for leaning against one of the boards with bent legs.

Aaron stayed quiet for a few moments, enjoying in the feeling of calm settling over him, feeling nostalgic. “I always thought of this as our tree house, so I thought it will be a good idea to come here again. But I guess it’s a bad surprise after all. I never was good at surprises anyway,” he broke the silence. He smiled, as he continued, “I remember us coming here every day as kids, to hide away from everyone. Those are probably one of the best memories I have. But I don’t remember it being so cramped,” he joked, trying to lighten the mood.

“Don’t test me. You know I’ll do it.” Ethan responded with a cocky smirk on his lips towards Aaron trying to tease him stating that they wouldn’t be spending any time in the company of his exes if he could help it unless the ginger wanted to, reminding him of how he had said that he wanted to make out with the man in front of them.

It was with a raised eyebrow that he listened to the other man who got more and more uncomfortable, remarking that he apparently had brought that comment upon himself when the red head wanted him to tell him if sleeping with someone meant he inhibited romantic feelings for them because judging from what he had learned about him it didn’t in the silver haired male’s case, to when he was rubbing the bridge of his nose asking Ethan to give him a break saying something about really trying and that the ginger had come back and had turned his world upside down, making the man from New York City sigh leaving the non-answer he had gotten uncommented because it wasn’t really worth commenting on to begin with as he wouldn’t gain any clarity from that.

“No. Because I don’t!” was the plain and dry response to Aaron derailing the subject again by asking if anyone had ever told him that he talked too much. Ethan indeed didn’t talk too much. His communication was efficient and served a purpose, it was direct. Jonas on the other hand was someone who did talk too much constantly, about everything, blabbering like a waterfall and as fast as one as well. There was no comparison between someone who talked too much and the ginger. If anything Aaron talked too little about things that actually mattered and weren’t trivial. He also didn’t care about the accusation of talking to him being like talking to a therapist his expression however changed when he was compared to the man’s brother who apparently had become a priest. “Don’t fucking compare me to some indoctrinated, religious lunatic to distract from the actual conversation.” He said displeased, screwing up his nose. Being compared to a psychologist he had no issue with, being compared to priests he definitely minded because he was nothing like that.

As they were finally getting back to the topic at hand and Aaron admitted that he indeed felt jealous, at least this point he could own up to, this was followed by the other denying that he had things he cared for more than for him back then and it made Ethan roll his eyes and he wanted to say ‘We’ve been over this’ but he didn’t. “You told me. And yes, when you weren’t chasing after some bitch in a slutty skirt you were spending your time with me talking about the wenches you liked and their body parts and how to get this or that chick. You sure as hell weren’t talking about us or thinking about me more deeply. That’s what I mean by that. We were spending a lot of time, but what were our conversations like and about huh?” he tried to make it clear to the man again who apparently still failed to see his point.

Next thing was Aaron telling him that he was ‘very bad at this’ in regards to their situation and relationship and he didn’t have to tell the ginger that, he could tell on his own, followed by the librarian expressing that he wanted Ethan to stop psychoanalysing him. “I apparently hit a nerve though.” the ginger expressed and then shrugged. “But whatever floats your boat! We can stop talking about this but I like to remind you that your avoidant tendencies and ignoring that issue and those questions, shoving it all to the side and just following suit won’t solve anything. The same questions and issues will remain if you won’t face them and sooner or later they will come up again. So if you don’t want to talk to me about this you should start to think about stuff that actually matters for you and in your life yourself, to figure things out for yourself and to get good at ‘this’ or at least get clear about how you feel about ‘this’ and what you want from ‘this’ because otherwise there will be no ‘this’ anymore because I’m not going to wait an eternity for you to figure your shit and your feelings out and eventually come around or not. I’m way past that point. We’re adults Aaron! Not teenagers! I want an adult relationship!” he spoke, making his standpoint very clear.

His lips formed a silent ‘Oh’ when the other was telling him that it had been no woman but that it had been Ethan who had broken the other man’s heart and he remembered the strong reaction and what the other had told him about the way he had felt when he had disappeared and it made sense. There wasn’t any time to say anything more because Aaron changed subjects again, to favourite foods. “Aside from that pizza?” Ethan asked jokingly. “I fancy game meat, deer, boar, rabbit etc. with a nice sauce, gnocchi or dumplings and red cabbage.” He told him. “But in the end the most important aspect is that it contains a decent piece of meat.” The ginger added. “Why? Do you plan to go on a hunt for me and to cook me some fancy dinner?” he jested.

A laugh came from him when the other remarked how the ginger standing behind him while he was running on the treadmill would be much more of a distraction than a motivation before reminding him about their jogging “date” stressing that they should definitely do that. “Yes, I said I’ll go for a jog outside for the time I’m here and can’t go to my gym and you’re free to join if you wear tight pants.” He laughed. “We can do that tomorrow morning. Nothing is keeping us from it.” Cornwell then suggested.

There was no way Ethan could keep himself from cracking up in a fit of laughter when the librarian remarked how he should tell Elayn that she needn’t worry because there apparently had not been any innocence to steal away from the ginger anymore as he had stuck his hand under his exes towel when he had been seventeen. “You tell her.” He stated already chuckling. “I actually told her back when that happened and she didn’t care or believed it. I was apparently not accountable in her eyes which I felt was an insult to my intelligence back then. Still kinda is an insult to my seventeen years old self.” The red head said but no one would probably convince her about Richard not being an awful human being.

He got a lot more serious when the other male said that he remembered Ethan always being like that, adding that he had never seen him in a relationship but that he could only imagine him as being serious about it and the person being the only person for him during that time. A half happy half sad smile was to see on his face as that was overall correct. “It’s true. I mean I obviously look at other guys still, I still find them hot but when I’m in a relationship I have absolutely no interest in doing anything with them, it’s never even a question or a desire. I’m hooked on my guy.” He told him. “I tried in that relationship with Richard. Not because I wanted to have sex with anyone but him at that time, I didn’t feel that urge, but out of a stupid fair is fair mentality and desperation. I wanted to make him feel the same he was making me feel, I wanted him to realise what this was doing and wanted him to see how this was not working and how hurtful it was, I wanted him to ask me to not sleep with other guys anymore so that I could ask him to not do it either so that we could get exclusive. It obviously didn’t happen. Richard was genuine in his bloody poly thing, unlike many others, he didn’t mind me doing other men and ironically enough that hurt me even more.” The ginger said with a pained snort thinking about that. “We couldn’t have been more incompatible I suppose.” He added.

He let out the smoke through his nose and took another pull on the cigarette hearing Aaron speak, still as though the writer hadn’t acted like a maniac a while earlier, pretending that shit had never happened. But Ethan wasn’t in a good mood and he wasn’t feeling light-hearted or nostalgic thanks to that. A dry laugh came from him, blowing a cloud of grey smoke into the air, his legs tangling down from the wooden plate he was sitting on. “I thought about this as our place too.” He stated, took the last pull of the cigarette, exhaling while saying. “Until you stained and degraded it with one of those dumb whores of yours!” he hissed, pressing the cigarette out on the plate he was sitting on, looking up to the sky for a moment before he was turning around to the other man, a deep frown on his face, his hazel eyes stern and serious.

“I don’t know if this would have been a good surprise or not and I will never know because you presented it like garbage!” he stated. “What is it with you and that tendency to all of a sudden act completely crazy without a warning and seemingly without reason and then doing a 180° mood swing back and forth like a yo-yo?” he asked. “And what are you trying to accomplish by this?” he wanted to know. “Do you think that you’re making a point, that I’ll understand what makes you mad when you suddenly act like a maniac, getting all weird, irrational and pissed without telling me why? Because I won’t get it! I can’t read fucking minds or feelings if something bothers you just fucking tell me and don’t go all bitchy and crazy.” He was now yelling although he hadn’t wanted to and hadn’t intended that. “I’m a gay dude Aaron; I am not up for guessing games and all that exhausting shit.” He barked and took a deep breath calming down, remembering how Marco had told him about the chicks he had been with previously having acted like Aaron had done a few times already now and how tiring that had been for him. The ginger then let his hand run over his face. “I just wanted to hug you and kiss you, is it that bad?” he asked not understanding any of that at all anymore.

Aaron raised his hands in a gesture of surrender and said, “Okay, okay, I won’t test you. I know you’ll do it, but I rather you didn’t.” The light-haired male couldn’t imagine that being pleasant for him. He was pretty sure the women wouldn’t even mind them and it would only serve to hurt his ego in the end. His boyfriend would probably have lots of fun though.

His evasion of the topic only brought a sigh from Ethan, but there was no comment. The ginger also stated that he doesn’t talk too much, which was kind of true, but Aaron still wished he would talk less right now. But what really rubbed his boyfriend the wrong way, was his blabbering about his brother becoming a priest. It made him frown when he heard his brother being called a lunatic, because in the end, it was still his brother they were talking about, but he couldn’t really deny it. While he wouldn’t really say Caleb was a religious lunatic, he was really religious, which could be interpreted as a lunatic by someone who didn’t really know him, so he stayed quiet.

Now the conversation turned back to the girls and how that was all Aaron thought about. “Yeah, a high-school me with raging hormones didn’t really think of you more deeply or talk about us, because I had no idea there’s a need to talk about us! How the hell was I supposed to know what you were thinking back then? If you hated it so much, why didn’t you tell me to stop talking about girls? Fuck Ethan, I didn’t know the topic of our conversation was so important back then. I just talked about what all the boys were talking.” Maybe it really was time to talk things trough, as much as the light-haired male hated the idea, because their childhood memories seemed to be completely different.

“Yeah, you hit a nerve,” Aaron repeated after his boyfriend in an annoyed voice. Hearing Ethan say how his avoidance tendencies won’t solve anything and that he wants an adult relationship, made him sigh deeply and just give up on trying to evade this conversation. “Adult relationship, got it.” He realized that with women, it was so much easier. If they annoyed him so much he just told them that and broke it off, but he actually cared for his boyfriend. Obviously, he will need to figure out everything really soon and only Ethan could actually make him to speak about his feelings; he was so screwed. “So what were we initially talking about?” he asked earnestly, because he actually managed to forget most of it in the short time span, when he tried to evade it. “Wait! I remember,” he quickly added, figuring the question will only piss his boyfriend again. It was about his feelings and how he foolishly said that he must have some, if he slept with Ethan, wasn’t it? “I definitely have romantic feelings for you!” he said with a confident voice, because he wouldn’t start dating the ginger, if he didn’t. He can always think about the extent of those feelings, when he’ll be alone. “But I’m a little shit, who still gets jealous of anyone taking my childhood best friend attention away from me,” he also added with a sour expression. “I’ll try and act more like an adult about it, okay? So, is there anything more you want to talk about?” Aaron hoped he appeared serious enough and that Ethan could see he really was trying.

There was no comment to his confession about Ethan breaking his heart and he preferred it that way. He just wanted his boyfriend to know it, there was no need to discuss it. He did describe what he likes to eat and it made Aaron chuckle. “Yup, didn’t you see my bow and arrows at the entrance? I’m all ready for the hunt!” He did make a list of what he just found out, making sure to remember lots of meat and no bananas, because he obviously tended to forget that. “I don’t really care much about what I eat, as long as it tastes like food, so we can at least eat what you like,” he said, thinking he really will need to hit the grocery store, because he was fairly sure there weren’t any decent pieces of meat in his refrigerator.

“Tomorrow morning sounds great,” Aaron said with a big smile, looking forward to running in a good company. “Hmm, what exactly does morning mean for you though? Don’t you start work really early?” Their schedules were different, so the light-haired male will probably need to rise up much earlier than he was used to.

His boyfriend was chuckling as he suggested Aaron should tell his friend that, which meant it would probably be in vain. “You know what, I kind of want your friends to like me, so maybe I’ll just agree with her on this one, if the subject pops up and you two can solve this between yourself,” he said with a grin. Ethan’s friend seemed like a fierce woman and Aaron didn’t really wish to get into her bad graces. She would probably roast him on the spot.

What Aaron just said, seemed to make his boyfriend sad and he proceed to explain how he tried sleeping with someone else to get his exes attention, but the plan backfired. He didn’t really know what to say to that, being bad at consoling people and having the tendency to say the wrong thing. So he focused on what he said at the beginning, asking him, “So now you’re hooked on me?” Aaron just wanted to hear it one more time, wanted to hear he’s the only one for Ethan right now.

At first, Aaron thought his boyfriend will just ignore him again, but then he let out a dry laugh, saying he thought of this tree house as theirs too. It made him smile, but the ginger wasn’t finished yet. He hissed at him, how he stained and degraded it with one of his exes and it made Aaron flush red with embarrassment, because he remembered bringing one of the girls here. It was when they were older and didn’t come here often anymore, but now he felt like shit for doing it. He covered his mouth with his hand, lost for words. He didn’t even know Ethan saw them and didn’t think of it when he planned to come here, but knowing now how his former friend felt back then, made him feel like the biggest jerk.

He really did prefer to avoid talking about problems and he hoped Ethan will calm down enough to not want to talk about it either. But his boyfriend only got madder with him, because he tried to ignore what happened. Aaron already had a joking remark on his tongue, but he remembered how he said earlier, when they were eating, that he’ll try and act more like an adult. So he dropped the hand covering his mouth and started to explain himself. “I didn’t expect you to guess anything, I just didn’t say anything, because I thought we will end in another fight, if I do.” Which happened anyway, so he felt pretty stupid right now. But he continued, “Also I needed time to cool down, as you might have noticed.” He was referring to the forceful kiss. “I’m sorry that I kissed you like that. It’s not that bad if you want to hug or kiss me and I said you should do it when you want to and I’ll stand behind those words. But what I really, really minded, was that you thought I’ll deny dating you. Why would you think that Ethan?” He stopped talking for a moment and sighed, as his voice cracked. He didn’t know what he’s done to make his boyfriend think that; was it because of what happened in the taxi? Or did he do something, he wasn’t even aware of?

After taking a few moments to calm down, he searched for Ethan’s hand and squeezed it, still not being able to look into his eyes. “I’m sorry for ruining the surprise.” He was apologizing for tonight and for all those years ago, when he thought it would be cool to bring here the girl he was with back then.

There was a sharp smile playing around his lips when Aaron got defensive telling him that he had been a hormonal teenager who had talked about what all the boys had been talking about back then as the man didn’t seem to realise that he was actually confirming what Ethan had said after previously denying it and the ginger had not done much anything than pointing the other’s prioritise out without actually accusing him in the first place. “Exactly Aaron! Your ‘hormonal teenaged self’ cared about other topics a lot more than about me and generally had other priorities. Good that we’re on the same page about that now as it wasn’t an accusation in the first place; you took it as one when you learned that I had feelings for you and what it did to me.” The red head said. “It’s funny that you say that you’ve been talking about what all the boys were talking about, because I wasn’t talking about this! And I was a hormonal teenager too.” He pointed that out since it was a little amusing that the other who had hung around him back then stated something like that and didn’t even realise now and had not back then that the ginger had never once spoken about chicks, he had only advised Aaron who had been on his endless, annoying ramblings about the wenches he had been after.

Another point of what the man had said was outright tiring to him at this point as it was that same ‘How have I been supposed to know about your feelings?’ and ‘Why didn’t you tell me to stop talking about girls?’ thing again. “You weren’t supposed to know! And why I couldn’t and didn’t say: ‘Shut up about those stupid cunts already will you!’ should be self explanatory to you by now. It would have been weird and drove suspicion onto me!” He said exhausted hoping that this would finally sink in with the other and he wouldn’t hear ‘Why didn’t you tell me’ and ‘How was I supposed to know’ again anytime soon.

Ethan raised his eyebrow at the annoyance in the other man’s voice and when the man repeated ‘adult relationship’ after him saying that he’d gotten it. He apparently hadn’t. His behaviour screamed he hadn’t. The annoyance about a simple conversation or rather what a simple question that the man should have been able to answer with a plain ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ had led them to said a lot about this already. “Did you? Get it I mean?” he asked not caring if the other’s attention span and patience was tested some more by this. “It’s not about you repeating what I want and putting that onto yourself. I told you what I want! I want to know what you really want! Not that you do as I want because it’s easier to follow along than to actually think about what you are expecting or wanting from this.” the ginger clarified.

The red head pressed his fingers onto the bridge of his nose when the librarian asked him what they had initially been talking about. A child had a better attention span than this. This was the same attention span his goldfish had. “I wanted to know whether you’ve romantic feelings for me or not. What is actually a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ question.” He reminded but the other seemed to have remembered it himself what meant there was a little hope left. What followed then surprised him because for once it wasn’t vague as fuck, it wasn’t a guessing game or something that needed someone like a trickster interpreting tarot cards, Wilson clearly and confidently stated that he ‘definitely’ had romantic feelings for him. It made Ethan nod and give him a smile as he listened to the other expressing that his jealousy derived from something else apparently and that was their childhood friendship. He didn’t like to hear that part but overall it seemed genuine and to hear him genuinely say that there were romantic feelings meant something to the ginger already. Being asked whether there was something else he wanted to talk about now he slightly shook his head. “No. Not now.” he answered. “I just wanted to know whether you’ve romantic feelings for me or not, that’s enough for me to know at this point. Other and further things at a given time.” The red head answered.

There was a snorting laugh coming from him when the man said that he didn’t care what he ate as long as it tasted like food. “Yeah, I noticed that…” the ginger laughed hinting at the popcorn and whisky thing. Aaron apparently wasn’t a gourmet and didn’t seem to have any taste or feeling for what went with what properly at all. “I’m really glad that I’ll get to set the menu though or we’d probably eat the wildest, unfitting combinations of food.”

When he was asked what morning meant for him Ethan grinned at the other man, knowing that he had still been deep in his dreams when Ethan had already left for work that day. “4am.” He answered. “I’ll go for a 45minutes run at 4am.” The ginger told the man and he expected a moan or that the other would tell him he was suddenly busy and had changed his mind about it.

“Gosh please no!” he pleaded. “Please don’t agree with her and encourage her. It’s already always a shit fest when our group stumbles across Richard somewhere thanks to her. Don’t reinforce her opinion about him.” Ethan asked his boyfriend because he really didn’t want this to get worse and more annoying than it already was. “Not to mention that I can’t even make any joke about age and age gaps without her jumping at my throat immediately leading to everyone making fun of me then for having had significantly older boyfriends.” he told him. “So if you want to stay on her good side and on mine, how about you play Switzerland and keep it neutral?” he suggested, patting Aaron’s hand playfully.

The question he had not expected to be asked by the silver haired male pulled him out of his melancholy of how his monogamy and devotion to one partner, how his values could be a blessing and a curse at the same time. “Do you really still need to ask this?” he wanted to know from the other man when he raised the question as to whether the ginger was hooked on him now, the hazel eyes staring into blue. “Yes. Yes, Aaron you got me hooked … again.” The red head let him know. “You had me hooked for so many years back then. I couldn’t see anyone else no matter how hopeless this seemed. Now I returned temporarily and I only had to see you… seems like I’m a helpless idiot.” Ethan chuckled about himself.

Seeing the man flush beet red from embarrassment and the shock on his face when he figured that Ethan knew what he had done with that cunt in their tree house back then at least gave him some satisfaction although it couldn’t overshadow the hurt he remembered he had felt and the hurt he still felt thinking about this place having gotten stained in such a gross way. “Yeah, that’s right, I know!” he said with a hard voice and a nod. “I saw you.” The ginger told him an unhappy sardonic grin on his face.

There was an unbelieving look on his face as he listened to the other man explain and talk, followed by a baffled anger. “Hold on! You thought that you’d avoid confrontation by acting as though nothing had just fucking happened after getting insanely mad out of nowhere and wanting to smash me through the wall of this fucking building if you could and that I’d just ignore how you acted, let you get away with it without a word and be all fun and jolly again?” he asked still dumbfounded. “What kind of logic is that Aaron!? What are you even thinking!?”he yelled at him.

Disbelievingly he shook his head when he was told that the other needed time to calm his shit, alright, that was one point he could actually see. When the other man was apologising for ‘kissing’ him like that there was a disdainful snort coming from him. “You call that a kiss Aaron? I didn’t even realise what this was supposed to be for the most part of it. I thought you were about to fling your fist into my face at first.” He barked. “Just a reminder, you kiss with your lips and tongues colliding, not smash your teeth against mine.” Cornwell said and then reached back to the hem of his hoodie pulling it up with his shirt, exposing large dark blue bruises where those sticking out stones had hit and pressed into his back. “And that shit, that shit is not ‘kissing’ either.” He told him pulling it back down again, getting more furious as he listened further.

“Ja, right! You said in rage that I could kiss and touch you all I wanted, you yelled it at me, unwillingly and as if you had to, to make some point or whatever. It also wouldn’t have been the first time where you would have contradicted yourself had you not meant it as you said.” He reminded him. “So forgive me that I wanted to reassure myself.” Ethan sarcastically said but then finally the writer told him the real reason for his outburst and his fury in that situation, telling him that he had minded that the ginger had thought he’d deny dating him. It left the ginger staring at the other man for a moment especially when he was asked why he’d even think Aaron would do that. That lay on hand for Cornwell but the fact that the other had gotten hurt that badly by the red head thinking that he’d deny him was actually surprising and it made him feel somewhat bad himself although it didn’t justify nor make the librarian’s behaviour anymore rational. “Maybe because I was pushed away as if I was a fucking predator about to violate you in that bloody taxi we have rented because there was a taxi driver present? Or because you were so opposed to showing affection to me outside in public! Or because you made all those comments about not finding other men attractive, not wanting to see men in pleasure, Meyer who is your friend according to you saying that you’re definitely completely straight without a doubt, that I know that you have seen yourself as straight and have only ever been with women what is weird for me because I have only ever been with out and proud gay guys or much rather all of those aspects put together have led me to think that you might be ashamed of sleeping with me and you’d not want anyone to know you’re with a man or think you might be gay and deny me and that thought alone was … well… so when you didn’t deny me and our relationship it was making me damn happy.” He gave the man an explanation, looking down from the tree house onto the ground. “I didn’t mean to hurt you by this assumption.”

He then could suddenly feel the other male’s hand on his, giving it a squeeze and Ethan squeezed back, interlocking his fingers with Aarons, turning his head to the side, looking into the apologetic blue eyes when the man was apologising to him, leaning in, pressing his lips against Aaron’s his other hand taking him by the neck, kissing him eagerly and deeply, leaning his forehead against the other’s, their noses touching. “Just communicate with me about stuff like this openly, instead of lashing out all of a sudden without an explanation alright? Confrontation isn’t something that one should at all costs avoid.” he asked him. “I’ll in return rather ask you than jumping to conclusions and making assumptions like those!” Ethan offered.

“How are we on the same page?” came the librarian’s baffled response. Didn’t his boyfriend hear him say he meant the most to him? Obviously not and Aaron didn’t know how to explain himself better. “I just think that I didn’t know how to show you how much I cared or maybe I thought it was clear to you. And that’s why you got the feeling I cared about other things more. But it wasn’t so.” He took another shot at trying to explain it. The Ethan pointed out how he never talked about girls and it made the light-haired male try to remember, if that’s true. “Huh, I guess you really didn’t talk about them. I should have noticed that,” he admitted.

After he said he got it, his boyfriend asked him again, if he really did get what that means. It irritated Aaron, but at the same time it was clear to him, why Ethan is asking him that. Adult relationship and Aaron weren’t really things one would think of putting into the same sentence. But he said he will do it and he planned to do his best! “Yes, Ethan, I got it,” he replied, in a more serious manner this time. “What I want is to be with you,” came the short answer for Ethan saying he wants to know what the librarian wants, although the ginger was pretty much right saying the light-haired male finds it easier to just follow along. It made everything so much easier and it was pretty much how Aaron lived his life until now.

It was clear how his question irritated the ginger, but Aaron couldn’t really help it. He didn’t forget things intentionally, he just sometimes needed time to arrange his thoughts and then he remembered. Especially when he was writing, he was usually a complete airhead. But at least his boyfriend seemed content with his answer this time, so that was something. Hearing that they will talk about other things at another time, made him groan internally, but he didn’t let it show. He just nodded and let the relief wash over him, being happy they are done talking.

“Oh come on man, will you ever get over the popcorn?” he asked, a smile tugging at his lips as he fought to stay serious. “I am capable of eating normal food, even if that might not be apparent to you at the moment,” he joked, before admitting, “But it probably is for the best, if you set the menu, yes.” Aaron always disliked cooking. It was a necessity that took too much time and most of it was waiting for the food to cook. “So, what do you want to eat for lunch tomorrow? Or will you have to stay at work longer, since you left earlier today?”

The light-haired male’s face went blank, when he heard the time. “A ha ha, you’re joking right? That’s not morning, that’s the middle of the night.” His boyfriend was grinning at him knowingly and it made him sigh. “You’re serious, aren’t you?” he asked, hoping this was all a joke and Ethan is just teasing him, but he knew that’s just wishful thinking. “Okay then. I’m not sure anyone could get me out of bed at 4 am, but if you manage, I’ll go for a run with you,” he finally agreed, not sure if he will even be able to move that early.

Hearing his boyfriend plead, brought a smile on the light-haired male’s face. The suggestion about keeping it neutral was good, but he wanted to tease the ginger a bit. “But you see, I really want to get on her good side and that’s the only way I know how, while I have quite a few other ways to get back on your good side,” he said in an innocent voice, getting a hold of the hand that was patting his and starting to rub small circles on it. “Also, I think it might be amusing watching your friends make fun of you,” he added with a wide grin.

To the question, if he really needs to ask this, the librarian nodded eagerly and beamed a smile at his boyfriend. When Ethan told him how he only needed to see him once again and he got hooked again, a light blush appeared on his cheeks and his smile turned warmer, as he commented, “You really are a helpless idiot Ethan Cornwell, if you got hooked on me. But I’m happy you did.”

Ethan noticed his embarrassment and guessed Aaron’s thoughts exactly, when he confirmed that yes, he saw him and the girl that night. It made the light-haired male scramble his brains for the right words to say, but there weren’t any right words to say right now. “If I knew how you felt back then, I wouldn’t have done it,” he mumbled, trying to convey to his boyfriend that he never intended to hurt him with his actions.

Getting yelled at by Ethan made him want to run away home, climb into his bed and never show his face again. Not talking didn’t seem like such a bad idea at that moment, but now that his boyfriend was pointing it out, it wasn’t so anymore. He let his head fall down and tried to explain. “I...that’s just how I usually deal with problems. If I don’t cool down first, I say things I don’t mean and regret them later. But when I am calm again, it just seems easier to let it go then bring it up again. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I pushed you so hard against that wall.”

The librarian really didn’t mean to be that rough, so when he got lectured for the forceful way he kissed his boyfriend, he only nodded, but then Ethan showed him the proof of how rough he really was. There were dark circles on the ginger’s back where the bruises started to form and it was Aaron’s fault. He was pretty shocked seeing that and he instinctively reached his hand out to touch them, but his boyfriend was already pulling his shirt down so he held back.

He listened without commenting till Ethan was finished, not really having anything to say. It was clear that they had completely different views on certain things and they already talked about that, but they probably won’t see eye to eye, so no use in debating about it. He was touched when the ginger said he didn’t meant to hurt him. “I know. I didn’t want to hurt you either,” he almost whispered back.

When Ethan intertwined their fingers and feeling his lips on his own, Aaron felt relief wash over him and he kissed back eagerly too. He wanted to feel his boyfriend closer, but the ginger broke the kiss and leaned their foreheads together. At the question to not lash out, but just talk about things, he replied with “Okay.” He almost never lashed out on anyone else, but with Ethan, he was so unpredictable. He will work towards changing that, because he didn’t want tonight to repeat again. He tilted his head up, finding the taller man’s lips again, this time kissing him slowly. Wanting to feel more of the ginger, he tried pulling his body closer too, mindful about the bruises on his back, but the tree hose really was much smaller than he remembered.

An annoyed sigh came from him when the other man asked him how they were on the same page about this followed by him explaining to him how he might have just been horrible in showing teenaged Ethan how much he had cared about him or how he maybe had thought it had been clear to him that he had been the most important person to him. A dry laugh was to hear and he couldn’t keep himself from raising one eyebrow. “Yeah Aaron, constantly and solely talking about how you have the hots for this and that chick and what you want to do with them, and how you desire them and want to fuck them doesn’t do much in communicating or expressing to another person that they are the centre of your universe what you claim I’ve been when you say I meant and mattered the most to you, what I still doubt.” Ethan said. “It doesn’t matter in the end though. None of it matters anymore. I’m not that guy anymore and you aren’t that guy anymore either. We’ve grown into different people since then.” the ginger shrugged.

A moment after that he busted out into laughter when the silver haired man who seemed to recapitulated for a minute and then realised that the red head actually had never spoken about any girls and how he should have noticed that. “Of course I didn’t talk about them and yes, it was noticeable. I even blocked any attempts of anyone to speak about girls with me, when you or anyone else asked me whether there was a wench I liked or ‘Isn’t she hot?’ questions, I avoided it or changed subjects. I always talked around it and found excuses. It’s hilarious though that you’ve really been oblivious.” the ginger remembered. “Even when we watched movies together and you told me you want to nail this and that actress, I was not even commenting.”

His eyes were widening when he looked at Aaron who made clear that what he wanted was to be with him and in the first moment it seemed to him that the push he was giving the man by talking him into a corner where he couldn’t run and hide from taking a stand was working. That the other, with the gun against his head, was thinking and making up his mind and there was clarity being brought into the chaos there was between them. And there was massive chaos between them. This was not your usual relationship in its honeymoon phase. An unstained piece of paper, where no words and no sorting out was necessary! They had a prehistory, a complex prehistory, a prehistory with many unsolved misunderstandings, deep hurt and confused feelings and bad blood. If they wanted a chance in making this work, they had to sort their shit out and that wouldn’t work if they pretended there was none of it in the first place.

Then again ‘I want to be with you’ could have more than one meaning in their case, considering their history. In which way did the man want to be with him as a lover and a romantic partner or as best friends? “In which way and as what do you want to be with me? If you think about it, how do you picture your life when it comes to you and me? What do we do together? How does our relationship look like on an everyday basis?” he asked and now he was probably really reaching psychotherapist territory but he didn’t care. This was much more complex than any relationship he had ever gotten himself into and although Cornwell wouldn’t have admitted that had he been asked, he feared getting hurt and crippled by this in the end deeply, he was scared of burning himself, of burning himself badly and that was why he was analysing the situation in such a manner.

“No!” it came jestingly and theatrically from Ethan when asked whether he’d ever get over the popcorn served with the whisky. “I will absolutely not get over this ever.” The red head made that clear amused. When he was then asked what he’d like to eat for lunch the other day he said:“I usually have some snack for lunch in the office. I won’t leave earlier tomorrow again.” He told the other man. “But how about horse-meatballs with gravy and bread dumplings for dinner?” he suggested.

The response to learning that the jog would be at 4am in the morning was as expected just that Aaron didn’t bail out of it completely but told him that if he managed to get him to wake up at that time he’d accompany him for his morning run. “Neat.” Ethan said with a wide grin on his face. “I’ll find a way to get you going.” He promised wiggling his eyebrows in a jesting, suggestive manner.

There was a waggish smirk on his lips when Aaron was teasing him, telling him how he really wanted to get onto Elayn’s good side and that this was the only way he knew how to do it while he did know a few ways to get back to Ethan’s good side. “And how are you planning on getting back onto my good side after allying with the lesbians against me like a traitor?” he wanted to know, the smirk getting wider. “Don’t be so sure of yourself Mister. Just because you’re a hottie with a nice arse doesn’t mean I’ll let you get away with everything.” He said jestingly. “Maybe you want to take a picture of you and a cat to show her, buy her a flannel shirt or invite her to a poetry slam or into a vegan restaurant to get onto her good side or other stuff that dykes like instead of stabbing your boyfriend in the back.” The ginger joked and had Elayn sat next to him now she would have called him a stupid ‘fairy’ and told him to fuck off listening to Lady Gaga in return to the list of lesbian stereotypes he had just made there. But it just so happened that they kinda were like oil and water or cats and dogs ever so often. Although Elayn didn’t wear flannel shirts and Ethan definitely didn’t listen to Lady Gaga.

While the other was drawing circles onto his hand and was looking at him with that innocent face, expressing how he’d find it hilarious to hear his friends making fun about him the red head smiled. “Is that so?” he asked. “I wouldn’t have thought you wanted to hear stories about my previous sex life and the men I went for that badly.”

That shit excuse of an excuse made him snort. Did he think that changed anything or meant anything? To say that he wouldn’t have done that had he known about his feelings? “How noble Aaron!” he remarked sarcastically. “My feelings for you don’t even matter here. Regardless of my crush on you this was our place! Our place! A place where only we hung out together and you, you brought that dumb bimbo and fucked her!” he said. “How would you have liked it if I fucked a guy right here and you’d have seen us while trying to escape from your horrible family?” he asked because he doubted that the other man would have appreciated that either. The fact that Ethan had been in love with Aaron had only made it much much worse and a zillion times more painful.

“That’s not what you call dealing with problems. That’s ignoring them and running away from them.” He told the other taking a deep breath trying to calm himself again when the other explained how he needed to calm himself down or he’d say things he’d regret in the heat of the moment. It would actually be reasonable if the other hadn’t acted on those feelings anyway and hadn’t lashed out and behaved like a crazy person. “Yeah, saying something regrettable is so much worse than acting like a maniac without a single warning or word or explanation.” He stated sarcastically but then the other apologised for having smashed him up against that wall and the ginger sighed exhaustedly.

After he had shown the man what he had done to his back by acting out like that and they both were saying that they hadn’t meant to hurt each other, their fingers intertwined, the kiss Ethan gave his boyfriend was returned ever so eagerly, leading the ginger to deepen it before he broke it to say a few words. But the space between their lips only lasted for an ‘Okay’ from the other man before Aaron connected their lips again, kissing him slowly but intensely and the ginger kissed him back devouringly, his tongue enmeshing the other male’s tongue as he felt the librarian pulling his body closer to his, one of Cornwell’s hands shoving itself under the many layers of the writer’s clothes running up the warm skin on his back, strengthening the grip on his neck, the kiss becoming gradually wilder, messier, harder and more energetic, wanting to forget all of that shit and taste and feel the other instead, wanting to exchange their raw desire and affection for one another in a way that left no misunderstandings. That led to him battling the urge to throw the other down onto the planks and have sex with him right there in the cold night in the forest on a tree house that the two men had long grown out of because the other had previously said that he couldn’t take it a second time that day.

Aaron pressed his lips together in annoyance, as his boyfriend still didn’t believe him. He had half a mind to continue to try and convince him, but the ginger then said how it doesn’t matter anymore, since they are different now. The light haired male nodded, thinking that’s true at first, but then again, he kind of still was pretty much the same as he was back then. While Ethan grew up to his full potential, Aaron more the less stayed the same laid back person, who preferred to avoid problems and couldn’t even have a serious relationship. Better to keep that to himself though, there weren’t many things that spoke in his favor as it was. “You’re right; we are different now and we shouldn’t waste our time discussing things we can’t change anymore. Now you won’t have to listen about me wanting other women, but I will work harder on communicating how you are the center of my universe,” he said in reply, grinning impishly at the other male. He was surprised by the words that just left his mouth; was his childhood friend really the center of his universe? A light blush crept on his cheeks as he couldn’t help but feel embarrassed by what he just said and the grin on his lips turned into a shy smile.

A sour smile appeared on the librarian’s lips, as his companion laughed at how oblivious he was back then. “Okay, no need to find it so funny. And I wasn’t the only one anyways, you coming out at the reunion came as a shock to almost everyone there,” he said, trying to defend himself at least a little.

If he thought that the wearisome conversation was over, Aaron couldn’t be more wrong. After hearing him say he wants to be with him, Ethan buried him with questions that left the light haired male with gaping mouth. That was too much questions and his brain short-circuited, the confusion clear on his face. “Em…I guess like this? We eat together after work and then we…I don’t know, do stuff together. Like game or watch TV or go out on a date somewhere…I don’t know, I didn’t really had much chance to think about it, but I guess I want it to be like today was, just without the fighting…,” he somehow managed to reply to the last question that was asked, still being confused by all the questions shot at him. “How do you want our everyday to look like?” he then asked, seeing how his boyfriend probably knows exactly what he wants, being in a long lasting relationship before.

Aaron expected Ethan being unable to finish as early as today, so he gladly agreed with the suggestion to eat dinner together instead of lunch. That way he will have time to think of a way to make the food edible, even though he had no idea how to make bread dumplings or horse-meatballs. He can probably buy those frozen in the supermarket. “Sounds great! When approximately do you think you will be off then?” he inquired, wanting to know how much time he will have. He was already thinking who he can ask for help with this, because his pride couldn’t take it, if it turned out he couldn’t cook at all. He was all confident before, saying that he can do it, so now he has to make sure he pulls it off.

The light haired male was realizing that he really likes it, when his boyfriend wiggles his eyebrows suggestively. He automatically responded with a wide smile to the gesture, before saying, “You might find it harder than you think. But since it’s that early, I might even be able to go back to sleep before I need to head to work.”

Ethan telling him how even though he’s hot and has a nice butt, he won’t let him get away with everything made Aaron laugh delightedly. “I was thinking how then I’ll unveil my super-awesome-never-before-seen cooking skills and charm you so much with the delicious meal, you won’t possibly be able to stay mad at me anymore,” he said innocently, before grinning and adding playfully, “But I see my body is the only thing on your mind.” Listening on, as his boyfriend listed other suggestions to get on his friend’s good side, made him raise both of his eyebrows high. “Why do I have a feeling I would be doomed, if I did that? You just want to see me die, don’t you?” he asked suspiciously, not entirely sure if this is a joke or not.

The smile that appeared on Ethan’s lips made Aaron pause with the caressing and his boyfriend saying how he didn’t think the light haired male will want to hear stories about his sex life made his face darken and he sighed. “You’re right, that would probably become really awkward really fast,” he said as he moved his hand away.

Aaron didn’t know the answer to the question how he would feel, if he saw his childhood friend with another guy here. So instead of answering, he stayed quiet; there really wasn’t anything he could say to change what he did back then. Saying something will only make things worse, so the light-haired male listened to his boyfriend without a comment.

Kissing and feeling Ethan’s hands on his skin was a relief. Why couldn’t they stay like this all the time? Physically they fitted together so well, even though Aaron though them being both men will be the biggest obstacle. In reality it was just the opposite. As kids, they might have been getting along well, but it wasn’t so anymore. They grew up into different men and the librarian was getting worried, since they wouldn’t last long fighting all the time.

A shiver that ran down his body made him focus on what they were doing. He couldn’t feel the cold anymore, his body burning on the places Ethan touched and the passionate kiss making everything around them fade to a pleasant haze. Wanting to feel his boyfriend too, he slipped one hand under his shirt, sliding over his flat stomach and over his chest. Breaking their kiss only for a moment, he breathed out, “Let’s make new memories, right now.” He didn’t know exactly what he was suggesting, he just wanted to make this place theirs again. Catching the ginger’s lips with his own again he continued right where they left off, entangling their tongues together, wanting to drown himself in Ethan, at the same time unzipping his boyfriend’s pants to gain enough room to slip his hand inside. As he stroked the fiery length, he let his mouth wander away from his boyfriend’s lips, wanting to explore his body. He trailed kisses along his chin to reach his ear, nibbling on the earlobe before sliding down on his neck, all the while waiting for the ginger’s reactions, wanting to find the spots that felt good for him. He lightly bit his boyfriend’s neck, not enough to leave the mark because he left enough of those on his back today, before continuing to kiss downwards. He didn’t get far, because of the clothes and he suddenly regretted going out when it’s this cold.

An impish, slightly amused smile was to see on Ethan’s face when Aaron talked about how he wouldn’t hear him talk about wanting to bang women anymore but that he’d work harder on communicating to him how he was the centre of his universe. “How about you simply show me that I am instead?” he asked. “Which man doesn’t want his lover to show him how much he adores him and cares for him?” the ginger said. “And since you can’t cook you could easily show me how I’m the centre of your universe by rubbing my back and giving me a nice massage when I come home from work and after dinner you could do some little acrobatics with your tongue huh? How does that sound?” Cornwell suggested in a jesting tone of voice, a seductive shiny smile on his face as if he wanted to sell him a car, the conversation having lost all its seriousness now thanks to Ethan’s reaction and he was already bracing himself for the other to roll his eyes and hit him or something.

Aaron insisting that there was no need for him to find it that funny was actually making it all the more hilarious. “You’d understand just how hilarious that is if you’d truly knew just how fucking gay I am Aaron. And you can’t compare those airheads from the reunion with the two of us. I hated almost all of them and they hated me, I never saw them privately, barely talked to them. The only ones I did sometimes see were Franciscka and Dave and Franciscka did know and I am almost certain so did Dave.” He let the other know and remembered having seen a man who had had a resemblance with Dave who had been really obviously gay not able to hide it and had been tyrannised for it back in school at that reunion but then again it was impossible to tell if it actually had been him but there was no one else who could have been that either. The man had had straggly black hair that had fallen into his face on purpose as though to hide behind it, his cheeks had been sunken in, there had been dark rings around his eyes and not only had he seemed constantly anxious and cautious, turning around all the time only to see no one was behind him, he too had shaken and he had had tics, his nerves flickering. Next to him had stood a woman who had been with him but whom he had ignored and who had ignored him. And no matter if that had been Dave or not - and it probably had - when he had seen this man and had asked what he had had to endure to have turned into this obviously extremely traumatised, physically and psychologically wracked mess of a person he had felt like seeing a black haired version of himself in an alternate universe in which he had stayed in that town. “Do you know what happened to Dave by the way?” the ginger asked Aaron. “I think I saw him at the reunion. With a woman.”

That dumbfounded expression, the confusion he should have expected, he kinda had but still he had hoped to not get that response to asking all those questions. The answer he then got was hesitant and the ginger didn’t know what to think about that, it kinda disappointed him. “Sounds like hanging out with a friend if you call it going out and not a date.” He found and then took a breather. “Do you see any passion, any affection, any desire and lust between us in the relationship you imagine? Do we have sex frequently? Does the sex even remain without the fighting?” the red head wanted to know because if there was something the answer was lacking it was passion, sex and romance, although Ethan could only go with the first two just fine even though some romantic shit didn’t hurt and he liked sometimes. “I picture electricity between us and passionate gazes already in the morning, showers together, doing it in the shower, heading to work, being thrilled to get back home to eat and spend the night together, getting welcomed when I get home, cooking dinner together while sharing our lives, taking time to “relax” each other whilst the dinner is cooking, eating dinner where we have in-depth discussions about the sense of life, getting comfy and affectionate on the sofa afterwards, the underlying desire overcoming us again and we’re getting really lovely with each other another time and fall asleep where we are. On weekends we go on some nerdy adventures, hang in my favourite bar with friends in New York at night, or have some nice dinner out together but either way we end up fucking like rabbits when we get home. The relationship itself thrives on love, physical desire and a close alliance that stands strong against the odds and ups and downs of life.” He described and he was indeed imagining there to be lots of sex. If he remembered he always had lots of sex in all of his relationships, except for the last year with his last ex but they had gotten estranged and weird and their relationship had not been satisfying anymore what probably had been the reason.

“It does.” Ethan smiled happily the other agreed but then he was realising something. “And don’t you get the idea to buy this frozen shit from the supermarket. It’s disgusting, especially the gravy so I’ll notice. It’s full of sugar, cheap ingredients, food chemistry and food dye and I’d rather eat my own boxers than this shit!” the red head said making his aversion to convenience and completed food and its non-existent quality known finding it would be fair to warn the other man about this as he knew the other couldn’t cook and would probably get the idea to serve a gay man from New York, a rich one on top of that, some garbage food full of sugar and chemistry. When asked when he’d be back he thought for a moment. “Between 4pm and 5pm I should be back. Otherwise I text you but since I’m the boss and this project isn’t exactly a labour of love … well.” he grinned with a wink.

That delighted laugh of the other was stunning and he felt how he wanted to hear it more, see that smile more, get more of this side of Aaron when the man joked that he had played at charming him with his cooking skills but that apparently all Ethan was thinking about was his body. “Hun, be glad for that hot body and me being that into it because you aren’t blessed in the cooking department and have to compensate in the arse department for that.” The ginger countered jestingly and the chuckle that accompanied that turned into a laugh when Wilson looked at him and said that he got a feeling that if he’d do any of those things for Elayn that Ethan had mentioned he’d be doomed, asking him if he just wanted to see him die. “Well, she actually is vegan so one of the stereotypes fits her.” He told the other, leaning closer to him, laying his hand under Aaron’s chin raising it, letting his thumb run over those delicious lips. “Wanting to see you die is the last thing I want to see you do.” Cornwell told him. “And even though there are many things I’d like to see you do…” he spoke seductively “…all I want in regards to this is you to want to be on my side and not on hers.” The red head told the librarian. “She won’t ever kiss you like that!” he added and then kissed him deeply and wildly, as though he was trying to eat the other up.

“See.” He commented when the silver haired man said that he indeed wouldn’t want to listen to his friends talking and making fun of Ethan’s previous sex life as it would probably get really awkward really fast with a dark expression. “And they love doing that. Making fun of my sex life and having been with older men. And Marco makes fun of me being monogamous…. Although I don’t understand what’s so funny about it.” The man shrugged. “So you will soon realise that you hear them making fun about me more than you like. Even Cole finds it awkward sometimes and he’s only my ex. Granted they make fun about his and my relationship in both of our presence sometimes even though we are about the same age.” He informed the other.

Feeling Aaron’s hand slide under his hoodie and shirt didn’t only make him constrict his muscles there it also made it even more difficult to fight the urge to go further, to enthral the other, to arouse him and to fuck right there, especially when the man’s hand was going up to his chest and his fingers were brushing over his nipples. When the kiss broke he gasped for some air and looked into the blue eyes hungrily and he was looked at the same way when Aaron told him to make new memories right there. “Didn’t you say you didn’t want to have sex anymore today because you couldn’t tak….” Not getting any further because his lips here caught in an intense, messy kiss again, Ethan fully engulfing in it, pushing his hips forward against Aaron’s hand when the man had opened his pants, slipping his hand inside those fingers beginning to stroke his flaccid length, making clear that he had changed his mind about them having sex another time that day, turning the ginger on, heat streaming through him, his dick getting woken up, blood being pumped into it, making him take a gasp when small sparks of electricity started to form. He automatically leaned his head to the side to give the other more space to kiss and bite his neck and as the other was getting downwards it got more ticklish and had his hoodie not stopped the other and he’d have reached his spine he’d have found one of his spots. Some proper kissing, sucking and pressing his tongue onto that would in combination with stroking his cock have made a shudder run through his body and a pleasured growl escape him. To get into that area but not quite to the spot was mildly disappointing as in unknowingly teasing but also kinda relieving in a sense because the intensity of the feeling those nerves on that erogenous spot of his sometimes caused him when tended to the right way was embarrassing to a point. It had been Richard who had found that spot on him and he had been really mature about it but he doubted Aaron would be.

Ethan let both of his hands run down Aaron’s back and let them slip into the other’s pants, feeling the man’s luscious arse-cheeks, squeezing them firmly, kneading them and spreading them open. With the growing pleasure running through his body, his cock having gotten hard, throbbing in Aaron’s grip, he wanted to fuck the other even more badly; he wanted to ram his cock into that tight hole another time and pound the other until he screamed his name and got to see stars from the pleasure. “Would you pull down your pants, turn around and give me that cute arse of yours?” the ginger asked him in a husky, horny tone of voice, his body on fire, his heart rate and temperature high enough that he wasn’t feeling the cold of the winter night anymore. Then he remembered that Aaron had still been averse to being taken from behind and he realised that one might be able to interpret it that way. “I’m not going to take you doggy style, don’t worry, just trust me and do that alright.” He added, his lustily glowing eyes looking into the blue ones.

By the time his boyfriend was done with his suggestions how Aaron can show him he’s the center of his universe, the light haired male was already laughing. “I think the massage part won’t be a problem, since I’m pretty good at that, but acrobatics with my tongue are pretty much on the same level as my cooking. But they say practice makes perfect,” he replied with a wide grin on his face. He actually wouldn’t mind doing that, so he made a mental note to massage Ethan tomorrow.

“I think I won’t understand you ever,” came a sulking reply from the light-haired male, who still thought it wasn’t obvious his childhood friend was all that gay. Okay, maybe now it was pretty obvious to Aaron, considering the things they’ve done, but back then it definitely wasn’t! At the mention of Dave, he tilted his head, trying to remember when he last spoken with the guy. “Yeah, he was probably there with his wife. I don’t know much about what he’s doing nowadays, because he doesn’t really speak with me all that much, but he got married a few years ago. He seems to get really nervous, if I try and speak to him, so I don’t push it. Why do you want to know?” The guy didn’t really draw much attention to himself and Aaron rarely saw him around, so he didn’t know much.

Ethan’s comment to his answer was that it sounds like two friends hanging out and then Aaron was bombarded with questions again. “Yes!” he replied, still dumbfounded, before adding, “Yes, sex definitely stays. Actually, yes to everything.” He pulled a hand through his hair, taking a big breath before continuing, “I don’t expect us to act like friends, not anymore, after everything we have done today. So yeah, sex definitely remains.” This was so different than talking to the women he was with before; they usually didn’t like hearing things like this and talking too much about sex usually ended with him being dumped, again. His boyfriend was already replying to how he imagines their relationships to look like and Aaron could only stop and stare. “Wow,” was his first comment, after Ethan finished talking. “You know you’re kind of overwhelming?” he asked, a lopsided grin on his face, before adding more seriously, “What you said in the end, that we stand strong against everything, that’s what I want too. I don’t know about passionate gazes in the morning and getting all lovey dovely, because I never did that before, but I just want to stay close to you.”

Was his boyfriend reading his mind or something? Because it felt like that to Aaron, who just thought of checking out the supermarket when he was told not to do that. He made a grimace at the ginger, before saying, “When did you turn into a gourmet? No supermarket, got it.” He wasn’t sure if he was so easy to read or did Ethan know him so well to know what he will do, but now he really wasn’t sure he can even find ingredients needed. Hearing when the ginger will be home, he was seriously considering not going to work tomorrow, spending the whole day learning how to cook. At least he had internet, thank god for that.

Hearing Ethan tell him that he should be happy he has a body like that, because he needs it to compensate for his lack of cooking skills, made him laugh again and shake his head. “You’re such a jerk Ethan,” he replied, but since he couldn’t help grinning, it came out jokingly. It was actually nice hearing his boyfriend compliment him on his body. No one ever did that and it was flattering, but also Aaron liked hearing how much is Ethan into him. He got distracted, as a hand lifted up his chin and the ginger’s thumb ran over his lips; it translated directly down into his nether regions. Ethan’s voice sounded alluring and it was hard to focus on his words. Then he was kissed with abandon and he returned it in kind, wrapping his own hand in the ginger strands of hair, while his tongue intertwined with Ethan’s. When they pulled apart, his voice sounded hoarse as he breathed out, “Fine, I’m on your side.”

Ethan leaned his head to the side, giving Aaron enough room to explore the places he could reach, feeling him awaken in his hand. He was surprised by himself, how much he wanted to be physically close to his boyfriend, how good it felt to be touched by him, how warm. Feeling the ginger slip his hands under him, fondling his butt made him groan.

When Ethan spoke and asked him to pull down his pants and turn around, his brain still fuzzy from the kiss, he needed a moment to figure out how to move his body. His boyfriend interpreted that wrong and probably felt the need to reassure him, telling him he’ll not take him from behind. The ginger’s eyes were blown wide with lust and his voice husky, making Aaron’s breathing hitch. He only nodded, before he started to turn around, fumbling a bit with his waist, before he managed to pull his pants down. He leaned forward on his elbows, trying to find a comfortable enough position, his butt sticking up, but there was no way he would ever feel comfortable in a position like this. Gulping hard, he suddenly felt really nervous when he turned his head to look over his shoulder. “Like this?” he asked his boyfriend, shivering a little from the cold air that was hitting his exposed skin. But after how he acted, he was prepared to do anything to make things right. So he added breathlessly, “You can do whatever you want, Ethan.”

To hear that Dave seemed nervous when talked to wasn’t surprising after he had seen that mess of a man at the reunion but that Aaron apparently hadn’t thought about nor gotten suspicious about what had happened to him was rather odd to Ethan, then again, it probably shouldn’t be. His boyfriend had lived as a straight man since yesterday and he too had been unaware of what had been going on within Ethan back then and they had been best friends at that time. “I was just curious how the fellow gay kid back in school had done, that’s all.” He answered when the other man asked him why he wanted to know not articulating the horrible suspicion he had about what had happened to the man. “When I visit Franciscka I might ask her about it, maybe she knows more.” The ginger commented more to himself than to Aaron, making a mental note to not forget it.

“Good.” The ginger said a wide, large smile forming on his lips when Aaron dumbfounded answered his follow up questions ensuring him that his image of them living together did contain sex and passion and that they’d definitely have sex too. After giving the other his own vision of how their life together would look like he got a ‘Wow’ from the silver haired male just to hear him say that he was rather overwhelming. “Am I? In what sense?” he asked chuckling. The amused chuckle however turned into a laugh when the other said that he wanted to stay strong against all odds but didn’t know about the passionate gazes in the morning and getting all lovey-dovey but that he knew he wanted to stay close to him. “Oh we’ll certainly be close, very close indeed.” The red head remarked, his eyes blinking up, a cocky grin on his lips. “Considering that by passionate I mean horny and by being lovey-dovey I mean fucking.” Ethan said with a suggestive wink, nudging the other male’s side.

Ethan raised his eyebrows when he was asked since when he had become a gourmet and that he had gotten it and wouldn’t go to the supermarket. “Not wanting to put literal garbage into your system doesn’t make you a gourmet. I know gourmets and I’m not one of them. They’d call me a peasant actually.” He told the other. “It’s also not where you buy it it’s what you buy. If you go to the supermarket and buy fresh food there, there is absolutely no issue. If however you go to the supermarket and buy frozen prepared dishes to heat up and convenience foods that consist mostly of chemistry, sugar and rubbish, than that is not only disgusting but unhealthy too.” He explained getting aware that Aaron probably not only didn’t have taste when it came to food but that he too didn’t even think about what he was throwing into his body.

Being called a jerk like that only made him smirk cheekily, his eyes glaring, a flame clearly to see in them as he looked at the other man and the amusement as well as the fire just got lightened up more after he had kissed the other and the man told him that he was on his side now, making the ginger laugh. “I hope so.” He stated, pressing his lips onto Aaron’s again. “I can’t wait to get you to New York.” He stated, maybe it seemed a little random but that was what was going through his mind when he looked at the handsome face and into those hypnotising blue eyes. “The man I love in the city I love, bragging with him and how hot he is in front of the people I love, what else can a guy want?” he chuckled, still grinning.

As it happened Aaron was actually doing what he had asked him to and he saw the other fumbling with his pants, pulling them down, exposing that sexy arse to him, making a lustful noise escape the ginger as he looked the other get on all fours in front of him, his bare arse greeting the air, raised up and on perfect display. The nervousness of the other man was getting apparent though when he asked him if it was alright like that before he gave him permission to do whatever he wanted to, not sounding too confident in saying that although genuine. It made Ethan shake his head laughing in amusement. “It’s good like that.” he finally assured the other man, saying nothing more. It was sweet and hot really how the other said that he could do whatever he liked to him and it also showed to him that he seemingly had no idea what the ginger actually just wanted to do and that was to prepare the man and get him going too, using the best means he had as they were lacking lube out here since he still had to loosen him up and lubricate that hole of his or he might hurt the other.

Without letting the nervous man wait any longer he was repositioning himself, his hands strongly grabbed both of the other’s arse-cheeks, kneading and squeezing them, spreading them open before giving them a firm slap. Then he was bending down while spreading those cheeks open wide again, giving him access and a perfect view onto the rosy hole of the librarian.

Ethan’s tongue was giving it a playful lick, teasing the other man a few times before he was drawing patterns around the hole with his tongue, coating it in saliva, then using more pressure onto the other’s anus, then licking again, and using pressure again. One of his hands was squeezing and massaging Aaron’s testicles before starting to stroke his cock, being a little rough handling and stimulating him, while his other hand now assisted to stretch the tight hole, granting Ethan’s slippery tongue easier access as it was entering the man’s insides. The ginger moved his tongue down there, letting it penetrate the other man as he gave him a rimjob whilst stroking his cock, being really generous with the spit, making sure to lubricate the other properly and to make his muscle relax while he was tongue fucking him.

Hearing Ethan refer to Dave as a ‘fellow gay kid’ made his mouth gape with surprise, but he quickly recovered and refrained from speaking. Saying something like ‘Dave is gay??’, would probably make his boyfriend annoyed, so Aaron took a moment to digest the information. It’s not like he was particularly close to the guy, but realizing how oblivious he really was to people around him wasn’t a good feeling. His first thought as the realization sink in, was why a gay man would marry a woman, but the answer was pretty obvious, even to him. No wonder Dave looked like that. The light-haired male thought for the first time, that maybe it really was better his former childhood friend left this town. With an apologizing smile, he said, “Yeah, you should ask her, Franciscka knows better what goes around in the town than me. I don’t go out all that much, so I’m not that well informed.”

Ethan chuckled when Aaron called him overwhelming and asked in what sense, which made the light-haired male take a deep breath and reply with, “In every sense!” Their characters really were different, so it was hard to explain to his boyfriend how just being in a relationship is pretty overwhelming for him already. After college, Aaron started going out less and less, finding it more enjoyable to stay at home and bury himself in books. Being a writer gave him a perfect excuse to lock himself away and not come out for days sometimes. He was used to being alone, his past relationships serving only to appease his physical needs, but now Ethan was here and there was this whole side of a relationship he never experienced, so hearing his boyfriend describe how they will be spending time together, was a bit scary to the librarian. “Okay, maybe it’s not really you, but more like this whole situation is overwhelming for me,” he added. His boyfriend then continued, a grin on his lips, explaining what he really meant with passionate and lovey-dovey. When he winked and nudging his side, Aaron couldn’t help but snort with laughter. “Well why didn’t you just say so right away? Horny I can definitely do,” he replied, his mouth stretching into a grin that matched Ethan’s. “But maybe I do need some more practice, since this is my first serious relationship, so maybe you can demonstrated those passionate gazes to me tomorrow morning?” he asked, amusement clear in his eyes. Aaron suddenly realized this will be so much better than being with a woman, because they were able to joke about these things and enjoy themselves.

“Coffee is not garbage,” Aaron commented with a pout, because he was able to live off the black liquid when in the middle of work. “But everything else I eat can be described as garbage, so you’re right about that. Franciscka’s cupcakes are excluded here, of course,” he added with a toothy grin, finding this whole discussion funny. Why did it matter what he ate, as long as it kept him going. “Hm, if they would call you peasant, what would they call me then?” the light-haired male asked with interest. He only nodded while listening to the lecture what was okay to buy and what not to buy, but it was something he didn’t really have an interest in, so he had trouble concentrating. “Suddenly cooking seems harder than I thought it would be,” he admitted, before shooting a smile at his boyfriend. “Good thing I have you now, though.”

His response only made Ethan more on fire and he laughed when Aaron admitted defeat and said he was on his side. The words that were said next, made the light-haired male crack a small smile, because going to New York was a topic he didn’t want to breach right now. He wasn’t sure what exactly his boyfriend meant, when he said ‘get you to New York’. Was it to visit? Was he expecting Aaron to move there? Those were the question he didn’t want to bother with right now, it was still too soon. “I’m not sure I’m someone you can really brag with, though. I’m not that hot. But if that’s all you want, go ahead,” he replied with a laugh, focusing on that instead.

When he asked if the position was okay, his boyfriend laughed and it made Aaron blush furiously. He was like a girl, doing this for the first time, which wasn’t really far from the truth. He wasn’t sure he will ever get used to offering his butt to another guy. Then Ethan reassured him that it’s good like that, before his hands were on his butt-cheeks, kneading them. He inhaled loudly at the firm slap, but not because it hurt, more because it caught him by surprise. It wasn’t the biggest surprise though. Suddenly there was something warm and wet licking his hole and it made his muscles tense instinctively, something between a gasp and a groan escaping his lips.

It was a completely foreign feeling and he couldn’t help but bury his head into his hands. “Ethan, you can’t,” he managed to get out, his voice sounded pleading, but his boyfriend didn’t listen to him, instead his tongue prodded at his entrance with more pressure. “Oh fuck,” was all he could say when the ginger’s hand reach towards his balls and then up to his cock, stroking it roughly. That helped him relax a bit more, as he focused on the movement of his lover’s hand, trying to not think about what Ethan’s fingers and tongue are doing in the back.

His knees started to hurt on the rough boards, not being used to the position. He also wasn’t used to just taking it, not knowing what to do, but he wanted to do something, wanted to make his boyfriend feel good too. He was already panting from the ministrations to his dick, so when he spoke, his voice came out ragged. “Ethan, I want you inside of me.” He hoped this was something his boyfriend wanted to hear and will turn him on. Then he could at least move too, because just kneeling down and feeling all these new sensations was driving him crazy.

The reaction of Aaron was making it apparent once more just how oblivious he was towards his surroundings since it was clear that the other man had seemingly not known that Dave was gay. It was one thing to not know that Ethan was but another to not catch up on the fact that Dave was. The man had been bullied for his inability to hide being gay throughout his whole school career. Jake Meyer and his friend’s had written ‘fag’ all over his head with permanent maker, stuffed his head into the toilet, smeared his locker with homophobic slurs, pulled his pants down, hung him from the flagpole in front of the school, had send him letters with death threats and so forth. His father had beaten the kid blaming him for other guys in school thinking his son was gay, demanding him to act differently but Dave had failed doing so. “That I can tell.” He commented knowingly when the silver haired told him that he was ill informed and didn’t go out that much, although the ginger questioned whether it had to do with not going out or just not paying any attention and being completely unaware of other people and his environment. And he asked himself if that was why the other had never minded living in that town to begin with, because he had blanked out his surroundings altogether.

An eyebrow was raised in question when he heard the librarian say that it was in every sense that the ginger was overwhelming to him and the hazel eyes just stared at the other man until the silver haired corrected that it might not actually be Ethan who was overwhelming to him but that situation. It too was unclear to the red head what his boyfriend meant by that exactly and the questioning look didn’t disappear. “That situation?” he asked. “Being with another male?” he guessed. “Well, I have never been with a guy who has been with women before, much less one who has only ever been with women before, so this whole thing is weird and new to me as well in a sense. It comes with a lot of internal questions and worries of potential issues which could arise from it.” Cornwell told him scratching his chin. “I, to be honest, always stayed away from men who slept with women. I never wanted to date someone who has once thought of himself or worse still thought that he was straight or predominantly attracted to women. So, this situation is just as overwhelming to me….” he concluded.

“Because I sometimes like to pretend that I am classy.” Ethan jested when being asked why he hadn’t just said ‘horny’ and ‘fucking’ then as that was something Aaron would have understood and could definitely do. Being grinned at like that and then told that the writer might need some practise though, asking him if he could demonstrate those ‘passionate’ gazes to him the next morning made the red head laugh amused and a playful little flame was glowing in his eyes as he looked at him. “Oh believe me if we’re going for that jog in the morning you will definitely feel those gazes all over you, I promise you that.” he assured the other knowing that he’d be lusting over the other man while seeing him move.

“That depends on the coffee.” He got back to the librarian when he told him that coffee, one of the things he consumed, wasn’t garbage despite knowing full well what garbage the red head had been talking about and that that had not been coffee especially considering that they had been talking about food and not drinks to start with. That he did know got confirmed when Aaron admitted that what he ate could indeed be described as garbage after all only to exclude Franciscka’s cupcakes. Damn he really needed that woman to give him the receipt for that so that he could make them for the silver haired. The way he was into those bloody things Ethan would probably be a really lucky man if he could provide Wilson with those cupcakes. Him asking the ginger what the gourmets and that included Richard, would call him then if they already found Cornwell was a peasant when it came to food the red head smirked as he looked at him. “Caveman, Neanderthal, hillbilly, redneck, well they sometimes even call me redneck, I think they’ll figure something out.” he assured the other amused. After he had told him that the supermarket itself was not the issue but what one bought the librarian mentioned how suddenly cooking seemed harder than he had initially thought. “Yeah, that’s because what you’ve been thinking about wasn’t cooking but heating stuff up.”he broke it down precisely.

Ethan was grinning, grinning as he was eating his boyfriend’s arse due to the way the man responded to it so unbelievingly that he was doing that. It got clear to him that apparently straight guys didn’t get rimjobs from their chicks either. They wouldn’t suck their cocks, wouldn’t eat their arses, what the hell did they even do and what were women good for in bed then? Did they just lie there or what? It was cute and hilarious how Aaron responded between being shocked and appalled and going crazy from the pleasure he was caused to feel and the ginger could notice the muscle relax and the way the other man was panting and groaning, how laboured and hot his breathing got and how his hips pushed back against his face was turning him on just as how hard the librarian had gotten in his grip and the throbbing heat of his cock he felt in his hand.

What then followed made a stream of heat float through him and it made him pause for a moment. Had Aaron just told him he wanted him inside of him in that ragged, horny tone? Yes it was hot. Yes it aroused him. Yes it sounded as if the other had read one or the other porn comic too much. But it too was hilarious and it made him laugh because it was so unlike the other to say something along that lines, much less that exact line, especially considering how he was actually responding and reacting every time the ginger did something to his anus. “Oh you do huh? Tell me just how much do you want my thick cock to ravage your tight little arse?” he decided to jump onto this and tease the man a little, giving his arse another slap as he was sitting up, pulling his pants and boxers down, spitting into his hand and coating his cock in saliva as he was jerking it. “How do you want it? Do you want me to take you from behind now and fuck you into oblivion after all or would you fancy a riding lesson?” he asked continuing with the coquettish, playful, slightly teasing attitude although the question was indeed genuine especially considering the man’s inexperience he’d definitely not do ‘whatever he wanted’ to the other man and he’d not just follow some whim just because he had given him the permission to.

Ethan’s comment to his explanation, why he isn’t well informed, was only that he can tell that. It made Aaron make a noncommittal sound, because to him it sounded a bit disapproving. Of course he was aware that it wasn’t really a good quality of his, but it wasn’t something he planned changing about himself either. He wasn’t interested about what goes on in other people’s lives, unless they were close to him.

Saying the situation was overwhelming for him, made his boyfriend guess it was because they were both men. But the light-haired male was realizing that the sex of his partner didn’t bother him all that much. “Em, for me it’s more about the fact that I’m committing myself to someone else. You being a guy probably makes things easier for me, since I’m more comfortable around you than around any other woman.” The ginger then continued to explain, how this situation is overwhelming for him too, since it his first time dating a guy who isn’t gay. “Well then this relationship is a first for both of us and we’re in the same boat,” Aaron said with a playful smile, before adding more seriously, “But what kind of worries of potential issues do you have about me?”

Hearing Ethan say he sometimes like to pretend he’s classy made him burst out in laughter. Then his boyfriend assured him he will get to experience those gazes all over himself, if they will go jogging tomorrow morning and it made Aaron return the playful grin. “Now I’m much more motivated to go running. But no pervy stuff when we’re outside! We wouldn’t want some old lady get a heart attack from seeing us, would we?” He was joking, but the reality was that people from the town might just be shocked to the core, if they saw two guys together, especially the older population.

Ethan was quick with the comeback that it depends on the coffee and the light-haired male opened his mouth to object, but then he had to agree with the ginger. “Yeah, that’s true. Is the coffee I drink classy enough for you?” he teased, referring to what his boyfriend said earlier. He actually really loved his coffee; it was a single origin brand and Aaron just adored the slight nutty taste it had. He remembered seeing a used cup in the morning, so he knew his boyfriend tried it and now he was curious if he liked it. After hearing the nicknames he might get, because he didn’t care what he ate, he joked, “I think I might just starve then, my feelings would get really hurt otherwise.” At the remark that cooking and heating stuff up isn’t the same, he only added, “It’s making food in any case, right? And stop reading my mind.”

When the words left his mouth, Ethan paused and it made Aaron tense too. He didn’t mean to make his boyfriend stop! Then a laugh escaped the ginger and he instantly regretted saying it, a groan escaping him when he was being teased. “I give you a finger and you bite my whole hand off,” he commented, as he rose up from his elbows, his weight now resting on his arms. His azure eyes were following the movement of the ginger’s hand that was leisurely stroking his cock and now that Ethan wasn’t touching him, he started feeling cold, the air hitting his wet skin making him shiver slightly.

Being asked how he wants it in that teasing tone, made him frown at his partner, but at the same time he was considering his options. Being on top would be better, because then he would at least be able to move more, but at the same time he was having doubts if he would even be able to move with a dick in his butt. So figuring he should finish what he started, he looked up over his shoulder, meeting the hazel eyes and said, “I really want your thick cock to fuck me into oblivion Ethan.” It was embarrassing to say something like that out loud and it made his cheeks turn a shade redder, but he didn’t broke the eye contact.

After the other informed him that to him what overwhelmed him about their situation was about the commitment and not the gender and that at least they had in common that it was a first time in a sense for the both of them he was asked what worries and potential issues it were that he saw and it was a fair enough question. Ethan took a deep breath. “One more unlikely one in your specific case would be that you’d realise you hate that you’ve slept with a man hating me for ‘making you gay’, freaking out. Another would be that I turned out to just have been an experiment in the end, an experience that is fine and was interesting and fun while it lasted but nothing that you do want for your life because you turn out straight and not actually into men and want to be with a woman instead again after all. Or that I, being a man, couldn’t satisfy your sexual needs fully because I am not a woman and can’t offer you that experience and dynamic, I can offer what a man has to offer and maybe that won’t be enough because you at least too are into women, leading to you cheating on me with women. Or that you decide that you find it too difficult to deal with the hostility that you get for not being straight in society and want the ‘normal’ life that is less difficult again. I don’t know. There are plenty of things really that always concerned me around the idea of men who slept with women.“ he tried to give him some examples. “I wouldn’t even date bisexual guys because of that and they are legitimately attracted to men, my best friend is bi and he almost only fucks guys. And guys who called themselves straight or only ever had been with women were literal red flags for me.” He let the other know. “I’m far out of my comfort zone as in ‘known territory’ too so you’re not the only one, that’s all I wanted to say.”

Ethan pouted and gave the other sad puppy eyes when he said that he now was more motivated to go running but that they shouldn’t do any ‘pervy’ stuff outside because they apparently didn’t want to give some granny a heart attack from seeing them. “We wouldn’t?” he asked surprised with an innocent face. “I don’t know if I care about a homophobic old hag getting a heart attack because she can’t deal with a couple kissing or touching each other.” The ginger said with a sweet smile on his lips. “But if you care you might be able to motivate me to behave myself if I get a nice massage and blowjob after we get home.” He jested with wiggling eyebrows and a cocky smirk on his lips.

“Yeah your coffee is suitable enough.” The red head said and grinned. Truth was he wasn’t that picky when it came to coffee as long as one didn’t want to make him drink instant coffee that was. But if he couldn’t get anything else he’d take that too. Actually Ethan had even once eaten a hand full of instant coffee because he just needed caffeine and nicotine in the morning as he was a little addict and would be grumpy if he didn’t get that.

“Not a good idea.” The ginger said when Aaron said that he might just starve and not eat anything anymore or otherwise the gourmet people would hurt the silver haired male’s feelings. “You should eat properly. Just like you like me better this way than if I got floppy again, I don’t like to bang bare bones without any flesh on it. It might be a shock to you but the skeleton in the biology class back then never rang my bell.” He winked to the other man before he got at least a little more serious. “Not that you have to worry that much in the first place. Sure, you’ll certainly meet some of the rather gourmet, classy guys I know but my group of friends is pretty chill and are not at all gourmets, although they don’t eat garbage either. Anyhow, if they know you’re from this town they’ll probably think you’re a football fanatic, drive a pickup truck and vote Republican though.”

With a click of his tongue he looked at Aaron with an overly fake serious expression, leaning over to him, taking his hands into both of his as he said. “I have to tell you something hun, it might shock you but… making food and actual cooking are still two very different things.” He said in a fake concerned tone of voice, patting the man’s hands.

Did he feel a little bad for teasing the other man like this, sure he did but he couldn’t help himself. It was just so… put on and unnatural and didn’t match up with how Aaron behaved in that shocked and torn way he acted whenever Ethan was getting close to his arse. As if he wasn’t comfortable with enjoying it, with getting to feel pleasure from it. And when a guy like Aaron then suddenly went from zero to over nine thousand using lines that could have been out of porn for dirty talking with him it had something undeniably hilarious because one just couldn’t buy it! One couldn’t buy it that the librarian wanted his dick inside of him so bad and to top it off was that confident and unapologetic about it as to openly call out for it. That only got confirmed by how he said he had been trying to give him a finger and he had bitten off his arm. The silver haired was indeed trying, he was trying really hard to appeal to what a man like Ethan might be into, what would turn the ginger on and that he was trying and acting was really noticeable and hence the whole thing was not believable.

Aaron actually brought himself to say that he wanted to be fucked into oblivion by his thick cock whilst looking Ethan into his eyes, his arse raised high and his face as red as the average tomato. And even though he knew that the other needed to make himself say this it was extremely hot, it turned him on nonetheless. More so he was surprised though that the silver haired actually chose to be taken from behind, something he had initially said he wouldn’t want. The ginger had been almost sure that the other man would jump right at the opportunity to ride him because he’d get to sit on him and was basically the one in control then.

“I’ll give it to you then! I’ll give it to you good.” The ginger said with a dirty smirk on his face but he had cut the teasing tone out of his voice this time because he had tortured the other with that enough already. The red head was rubbing his cock over Aaron’s arsehole, squeezing the arse-cheeks together, creating some friction and making sparks start to flow through him again before he was prodding the anus with the head of his cock, slowly and carefully entering his dick, letting it sink into the hole gradually, stretching it, until the whole length was buried in the tight heat of the man’s arse.

Slowly he started to move, his hands holding the other’s hips in a strong grip as he was finding his rhythm. He wasn’t going slow for long though as he increased the speed and the hardness of the thrusts which were precisely aimed against the librarians prostate. At the start his hand was stroking Aaron’s dick while he was fucking him but at one point the pleasure and the heat he was feeling as well as the labour he was putting into the penetration took up his focus.

Ethan was leaning forward more, his upper body towering over Aaron’s back, his laboured, heated panting and his moans breathed directly into the other man’s ear. The ginger’s hips were thrusting into the other mercilessly and rough, hammering onto the prostate like a berserker, one arm holding him up placed right next to the writer’s, their fingers touching, the other hand pulling on the man’s hair, leaving kisses and slight bites onto the man’s neck and back in his ecstasy as he was fucking him senseless. His body was so hot that he felt like he was cooked in those clothes of his and despite the cold night he would have liked to strip off all his clothing in that moment where he was growling a deep and pleasured “Fuck! Aaron!” into the other man’s ear with a slightly gaping mouth, his balls slapping against the other’s arse as the tip of his cock was hitting the man’s prostate, getting closer and closer to his orgasm, the pleasure consuming his whole mind and body as his dick was choked by the tight hole of his boyfriend. His hand let go of the other’s hair, pressing the other’s upper body down as he was ravaging his arse nothing left on his mind than the feeling of pleasure and the desperation to get himself over the edge and cum. “Shit!” he moaned, knowing he was incredibly close.

Hearing his boyfriend explain his worries, made him realize they were pretty similar. They both worried about certain things that might happen, just that Aaron was prone to push problems away as long as he could. He didn’t want Ethan to have worries like that about him though. “Listen, you’re definitely not just an experiment, you mean far too much to me. And with what you showed me till now, you can take care of all my needs perfectly well, even better than those women. So don’t worry about that, okay?” He wasn’t sure how much effect his words will have, so he also asked, “Is there anything I can do, to make you less worried about me having slept with only women before?”

Seeing Ethan pouting made the light haired male chuckle. It was still funny to him, how his childhood friend could pull off something so adorable. When his boyfriend said he doesn’t care with a sweet smile on his face, Aaron retorted with a beaming smile too, “Can you promise me it will only stay at kissing and touching?” He doubted that. Judging from how they always went from innocent teasing to them being all over each other, he could guess what could happen if they did that outside. And it wasn’t like he was blaming the ginger for that, he was fully aware how hot and bothered he became in those situations. He wasn’t sure he could hold back, even if his boyfriend could. Ethan was already giving a suggestion to how he cold motivate him to behave and Aaron made a pondering face. “Hmm, well if you do behave, I could reward you. That is, if I manage to stay awake long enough,” he teased, still finding the early hour impossible for himself.

Aaron let out a satisfied hum, when his boyfriend approved of his coffee. But he was quickly shot down, when he said he won’t eat. “Whoa, you grew up into such a responsible adult. Which is lucky for me, but there is a problem. I’ll probably get fat, if I start eating properly now, because my body is used to going without food when I’m in the middle of a book. This body you’re so fond of is like this, only because I don’t eat much and I bother to exercise from time to time.” He said only half-jokingly. Ethan said a few times already he likes his body, so he didn’t want to do anything to change that. Being a writer came with a lot of sitting, as did most of his hobbies, so he was sure he would gain weight fairly quick, if he would be served good food every day. When he continued, his tone turned teasing. “Aw, I always liked that skeleton. He was always looking at me during class and I liked all that attention.”

Ethan reassured him not to worry too much about the people he will meet in New York. “You’re right, I shouldn’t worry about things like this, before I even meet them. But I always wanted to drive a pick up. Maybe I should buy one, now that I can and at least fit one of the stereotypes, what do you think?” he asked, with a wide grin on his face. The light haired male had everything he needed in the walking distance, so he didn’t buy a car when he moved. It seem like a bother to take care of something that he didn’t even need.

When the ginger looked at him seriously, taking both of his hands and saying that making food and actual cooking are two different things, Aaron gasped and made a shocked expression. “No…that can’t be! Now I feel like my whole life has been a lie.” He couldn’t stay serious for long though, because his boyfriend patting his hands and acting like he just told him something enlightening, made the laughter bubble out of him. He tried to continue with a serious expression, but a smile was tugging at his lips as he added, “Now it’s on you to teach me the difference, oh great master.”

At least when he spoke this time, his boyfriend stopped with the teasing and promised to give it to him good. At those words and with the smirk on Ethan’s face, Aaron shiver, but he wasn’t sure if it was from expectation or from nervousness. There was a moment of doubt, when he wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to do this again so shortly after the first time, but he acted like a complete jerk, so he could at least offer his butt as an apology.

He didn’t have much time for his doubts though, because Ethan was already rubbing himself over his entrance and when his member penetrated the opening, Aaron hissed from the burn. Saliva wasn’t as good as lubricant, even though his boyfriend used plenty of it and he was still a bit sore from earlier, so the intrusion wasn’t really comfortable. At least his boyfriend was taking it slow, so the light-haired male could get used to the feeling.

The burning sensation faded, when the ginger started to move, replaced with the feeling of something moving in and out of him, which was still new and Aaron would lie in that moment, if he said he wasn’t uncomfortable. But he was doing this for Ethan, or at least that was his aim, until his boyfriend found the right angle, hitting his prostate, making him forget all about why he was doing this. The sudden burst of pleasure made him groan, feeling almost too intense to bear and he tried wiggling his butt away, but the ginger had a firm hold on his hips. That combined with the hand, stroking his cock, made him stop thinking about what they were doing, the unfamiliar pleasure leaving him panting.

When the hand left his dick, he let out a whining sound, craving for more touch. Ethan’s rhythm was getting wilder and Aaron was unable to touch himself, because he intertwined one hand with Ethan’s that was right next to it and the other, he was using to support his weight and counteracting the force with which his boyfriend was fucking him. The hot breath hitting his sensitive ear, as his partner towered over him, made him bite his lip, but it wasn’t stimulating enough. As he was pushed down even further, he could see Ethan burying himself into his ass and the erotic sight made him moan. He felt like he might go crazy from the constant assault on his prostate, the pressure building high, just needing something to push him over the edge. “Ethan...I need…more...,” he managed to get out, his voice breaking down as he tried to speak, sounding ragged, as his body continued to be pummeled by his boyfriend.
