"I am out." Yukie mumbled having came out of his cave much earlier and despite the bruises and scratches from his redecorating the male was fine. With a small huff Yukie laid down on the smooth stones unsure what to do. "I don't want you to get cold like that again...I was worried you would get sick" Yukie admitted not liking how frail his master was since he was only human.

"No I mean come out of the tank. I am just fine right now so you don't need to worry about me. Besides, I want a closer look at those scratches. How did you get them anyway?" Sora climbed the stairs to the top of the tank and looked down at him. "If you don't come to me, I'll come to you and I'll warn you right now. I can't swim."

"My so stubborn" Yukie grumbled slowly making his way to the top of the tank the male crawling up onto the platform. "The rock was more rough then I originally thought" Yukie admitted his arms and head resting against the platform as he looked at Sora. "Do you really want me outside of the tank?" Yukie asked hesitantly not wanting to scare his master like he had last night.

"Yes, just don't climb on top of me like last time and I won't get cold. Wait there just one moment. I will be right back." Sora quickly ran down the steps and to the bathroom, returning soon with a salve to help him heal up quickly. "I am going to put this on you, ok? It might sting a little at first, but it's good for your cuts so stay still while I do this."

 

He knelt down beside the mermaid and opened up the jar. Then he put some of the gooey substance on his finger before slathering it on each and every scrape he could find. When he finished, he replaced the lid and sat down. "I think it would be best if you didn't move things around in the tank anymore. By tomorrow I will have a larger new cave for you so in the meantime how about you stay out here with me that way you won't hurt yourself cramming into that tiny one. I think it might be making your pretty scales fall off." He stroked his tail a bit, looking at a spot where one of his scales had fallen out.

"Okay" Yukie whispered sniffing the salve finding the smell quite weird but somewhat nice. Pulling himself onto the platform Yukie changed back and sat still his feet gently touching the water. "Why are you so nice? Aren't humans usually cold to different creatures?" Yukie asked gently not wanting to sound mean but he was genuinely curious. "What makes you different from the others I've seen and already met?" Yukie asked trying to make sense of the difference in humans since most of his species where aggressive unless it came to bonding and raising children. "My species, all of the males would stay together and raise children...we usually didn't fight unless it was to impress one of the other males into mating" Yukie admitted trying to understand why what he had seen was so different then how his master acted. "...they all got sick, then it was just me and the fishermen" Yukie added staring off into the cool water of his tank his face a mix of sadness and confusion over the sudden change in his life.

"It's true. A lot of humans do treat different creatures badly, especially when they don't understand them... You just haven't met any kind ones until me. That's all." Sora shrugged. "Besides, I like you so I couldn't possibly be mean to you. That would just scare you away and I don't want that. When you first arrived here, you were thinking of escaping. I could tell by the look in your eyes. It stands to reason that if I want you to stay, I have to be nice to you otherwise you would hate me and try to leave. Here we are sitting together and you aren't even locked up. I like it this way much better." He smiled and hugged Yukie, forgetting that he was wet from being in the water. "I'm sorry about what happened to you, but I hope you can learn to think of me as family." He nuzzled him a bit and leaned against him, feeling genuinely sorry for the other male.

"....you said you had an bigger pool? Why do you own something like that when you sink like a rock?" Yukie asked trying to be teasing and playful with Sora. Smiling a little Yukie stretched and gently pushed Sora away the male wanting to get down off the tank already. "So, give me a tour of the house and your rules and I'll try to pretend like I'm listening " Yukie added with a smirk already feeling a little more comfortable with Sora since he realized how kind he was.

"The pool came with the house." Sora said with a slight pout. "Rule number one. You need to wear cloths." He said as he moved down the stairs. "I think some of my dad's old cloths are here... Mine would be too small for you." he muttered to himself as he walked into a room across the hall. He quickly found a pair of pants and a button down shirt. "Put these on and then I will show you around." He stated before throwing the clothing at him along with a towel. "Dry yourself off too. You're making puddles where you walk."

 

He turned away as he waited for the other male to get dressed, a light blush on his cheeks. This was the second time he had seen him naked in this form. It made his heart race a little which confused him. After all it was another man standing before him.

"...I find it amusing you think I've worn clothes" Yukie replied as he dried himself off. Looking over the white button down shirt and the black pants Yukie picked up the shirt. Fumbling around for about five minutes Yukie eventually got the shirt on correctly. He instantly started working on the pants his hands figuring out the pants quicker then the shirt. "Why do you wear something so complex?" Yukie asked curiously not sure why humans would wear something that covered their bodies so much.

 

"Do you do it to keep warm like the fishermen?" Yukie asked slightly oblivious to his master's blushing. "They wore much different clothes then these" Yukie added having seen only deep sea fishermen.

"We do, but mostly it's to cover our bodies so we don't see certain things. Just lovers get to see everything when they get intimate... Are you done yet?" Sora turned back around. "For not having worn cloths before you seem to have figured them out alright. Your buttons are off though." He walked up to Yukie and fixed the shirt for him. "There, that's better. You look very nice." He spun around the mermaid, looking him over. "In fact you look so much like one of us, I bet we could go out together and none would suspect, but we will leave that for another day."

 

Sora headed for the door. "Ok, time for that tour. Next to my room we have the game room though if you haven't worn clothing I'll probably have to teach you about it later." He opened the large double doors to reveal a room with a giant screen tv, several different consoles, and dotted around the room were other types of games like a pinball machine and air hockey. He closed those doors and walked past several rooms. "I'll just skip up any bedrooms and bathrooms. You said you liked to read correct? I think you'll like this room then."

 

He opened the doors to the largest room he'd shown him yet. It had bookshelves lining the walls so high that a ladder was needed to reach the top shelves. There was literally thousands of books in that room, most of them old, but some new. Chairs were dotted around the room, each of them with a small end table making it a cozy place to read. "What do you think of it? Ever seen so many books before? I was thinking that if you're bored when I have to go to different functions, you can come here to read and pass the time."

"...I see" Yukie replied finding the human mating rituals to be quite interesting. "I've seen humans dress before, when I was on my way where I saw a few men put on these types of clothes." Yukie admitted having actually watched the men finding the humans fascinating. Following his master around Yukie marveled at the change of scenery and all of the interesting items the young master owned. "I like reading, but books don't exactly live underwater so it's something I've only done a few times" Yukie admitted marveling at the beautiful library. "Its quite grand...I'm surprised you read all of these" Yukie added gently moving more into the room.

 

"Are you sure it's okay to mess with them?" Yukie asked wanting to look through the collection. "Are you sure you trust me in here when you leave...I would be safer staying in the tank" Yukie mumbled still feeling uncertain about being out of his master's room and around the house where many other people could be. "I mean...I'm not exactly great at human interaction...I don't want to hurt or anger anyone" Yukie admitted biting his lip softly his emotions torn since he loved being out and about in the house.

Sora laughed a little and shook his head. There was no way he could read all those books. It would take a whole lifetime just to do so. "No I haven't read them all, but I have read a lot."

 

He noticed by Yukie's questions that he was nervous and wanted to reassure him that it would be alright. "I'm telling you it's fine. My parents live at another estate. The only people here are the maids, my personal chef, and a gardener. You don't need to talk to the help. I'll even tell them not to bother you if you'd like. Just make sure you only come here or stay in my room."

 

He crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame casually. "There's plenty more to see of the house. I haven't even shown you outside yet, but if you want to stay here we can."

"No, I want to see more" Yukie admitted his face still confused and scared but somewhat determined to learn more. "I want to learn everything about you and where you live" Yukie added with a small smile quite excited to see the rest of the place the male deciding to just shove his feelings down more.

Sora smiled broadly. He was more than happy to show Yukie everything. "Alright. Just follow me." He exited the room and walked downstairs. "The rest of the rooms on the second floor are bedrooms so we'll skip them." He explained.

 

The next room he showed was an at home gym filled with workout equipment. Next to it was the pool room. After that was ball room which was connected to a large banquet hall big enough to seat fifty or more guests. Next was the kitchen where the chef was busily preparing supper. There was another room with a grand piano among other instruments and a one that had nothing but priceless antiques and works of art.

 

Finally they came to the last room. "Out of all the rooms this one is my favorite. What do you think?" He asked as he stepped into a room with lots of art supplies. "I love to draw and paint. Everything in here I made." The walls were lined with paintings. Most of them were of scenery, but some were of animals as well, specifically horses. He loved horses.

"My your art is beautiful" Yukie replied with a small chuckle amused by his master's talent. "...how did you get it to pose like this?" Yukie asked curiously knowing most creatures rarely stood so still. Walking around the room Yukie admired the artwork taking his time to study each picture. "I use to know creatures that looked like this" Yukie admitted mentioning to the horse since he had only known them as centuars. " they liked the stars and where quite peaceful but stayed far away from humans."

"They don't stay still. I usually take a picture with my camera." Sora lifted the device to show him. It was a very expensive camera that came with plenty of attachments. "This is a lot faster than painting so I use it and then paint the pictures I take."

 

He set the camera back down on the table. "Come with me. I'll show them to you." He said before taking Yukie's hand and pulling him outside.

 

Behind the mansion was a large stable with a fenced in pasture. Outside in the pasture stood ten different horses, all different breeds.

 

Sora walked into the pasture. "This is sun dancer. He's my favorite." He said as he walked up to an Appaloosa that was white with reddish brown spots all over its face and back.

"They are beautiful" Yukie whispered admiring the horses from a safe distance since he knew being kicked by one would hurt greatly. Looking around outside Yukie was quite amazed by how beautiful the stables and gardens where. "They seem to like it outside" Yukie admitted venturing forward a little to get a closer look. "I use to know a male who had this color. He was quite kind...and wise" Yukie admitted with a small blushing having had many flings with other creatures in his past.

"Wise? Are you able to talk to animals?" Sora was curious to know. If he was able to talk to the horses then he could help him communicate with them. That would be really fun he thought.

 

Sun dancer was a very curious horse. Seeing another person in the pasture fascinated him so he walked over to check him out. First the horse stuck his face right in front of him, his nostrils flaring as he smelled the merman. When he decided Yukie was alright, he nudged his chest playfully and whinnied.

"Its I bit of a learning curve but I know the basics" Yukie admitted not being and expert at the translation part when it came to explaining in different languages. Seeing the horse come closer Yukie was amused and slightly shocked at the closeness. "Your quite beautiful" Yukie whispered gently petting the males nose.

Sora grinned and watched as they interacted. "He's really taken a liking to you. If you want to, I bet he would let you ride him. I could teach you. It's really not hard to ride a horse." He offered. Normally he would ride by himself because he had no friends. It might be nice to have someone to ride with. "If you are scared and don't want to do it by yourself, we can ride together on the same horse. There's a lot of the property you haven't seen yet and riding would be a good way to see it all."

"Well, if you would give me permission I can follow along side you" Yukie replied still petting the beautiful horse. "I wouldn't mind stretching my legs and getting some exercise" Yukie added with a smirk wanting to run around and play with his master

"Follow beside me? While I ride a horse?" Sora asked with a confused look on his face. "I don't think you understand. Horses have longer legs. They can move very fast, especially when going as fast as a gallop. You wouldn't be able to keep up with a horse." He shook his head. "Besides you're used to swimming... I'm surprised you're able to walk as good as you do let alone run."

"I wasn't born a mermaid...I just chose it because at the time the sea was safer then the forests" Yukie admitted his face blushing as he stripped off his shirt and pants his body easily changing into a centaur. "I can take other forms..." Yukie admitted looking like a child who had been caught with their hand in the cookie jar. "...I'm older then I look..." Yukie added his hands over his chest and holding the clothes he had removed

Sora's eyes widened with shock. "Wha... You..." It looked like he was trying to understand what just happened. "So... you're not a mermaid... a shape shifter then?" Never before had he seen a centaur. He wanted so bad to touch him so he stepped forward and began to pet his back. "Your fur is so soft. This is so amazing. You are amazing." He grinned as he petted him, the wheels in his head turning. "Hey um... would it be alright.... I don't suppose you would.... can I ride on your back?" he finally managed to ask.

"You want to ride on a powerful and wise creatures back without any concern?" Yukie asked his voice quite powerful as he asked with a smirk. "You may only ride of you promise to braid my hair" Yukie replied not finding the issue of being ridden to strange.
