StarGazer
"You stupid dragon. He is telling you to stop for your own sake. He doesn't want you to murder. He doesn't want to see you murder anyone, don't you get it? He's crying for you." Echo shook her head and stomped her feet, trying to get through to him. Torin shook as he clung to the dragon in hopes of getting him to stop. Suddenly he began to hum a melody. It was one his grandmother taught him long ago. She told him it had been passed down through the generations and was used to calm wild animals. He thought it was silly, but at this point he was willing to try anything to get him to stop. Anger had clouded his judgement before when he attacked Desmond. Now that he was thinking clearly, he didn't want anymore bloodshed. His feelings flowed out his mouth as he hummed the solemn yet soothing melody.
LoneDigger
"You think I haven't killed before? Foolish mare." The dragon hissed in amusement, his claws poised to stab into his prey again. But then a sound started to reverberate inside him making the monster go into a trance. It almost felt like a dream, or something inside his head was singing to him in a voice so soothing...
StarGazer
Torin noticed it seemed to be working so he continued to hum the melody. Slowly he climbed over the dragon's tail and around to the claw that was holding the weak sniveling old man. He motioned for Desmond to keep quiet by bringing a finger up to his lips. After examining the situation, he took a hold of his leg and tugged gently, trying to get the dragon to release his prisoner. All the while he continued to hum softly. Desmond held a hand over his damaged eye, actually keeping quiet like Torin wanted. For whatever reason this foolish human was trying to help him, but he didn't care. Once he was healed, he planned to track them down and kill them. Then he would sell the dragon in parts. He could make a lot of money doing it too. Dragon scales made good armor and the claws could be sold to a weapons maker. Yes, he was already planning his revenge if he could just make it out alive. LoneDigger
The dragon's paw was just too huge, and heavy. It was almost impossible to move since his claws had naturally locked around Desmond before he had entered into a calmer state. Instead the creature leaned down it's head to nuzzle gently against the source of the lovely song which was Torin.
StarGazer
Torin gave up on trying to move the paw himself and came up with another idea. Since the dragon seemed to like his song so much, he slowly began to back up in hopes that he would follow the sound of his voice. Maybe, just maybe then he would release the cowering human on his own.
LoneDigger
Alphonsus rumbled loudly, and his tail swayed, wrapping itself around Torin's waist and lifting the male up to hold against his face. He may have been more docile, but the possessive nature was still stronger. Torin and Desmond belonged to him, and in a sense he had belonged to them once. StarGazer
Torin gasped when he was lifted off the ground. It seemed nothing would work to make him release Desmond. "Alphonsus, I need you to let this man go. Do what I say just this once.... please. I don't want to see anymore blood shed... please." He pleaded with the dragon, looking at him with a sad expression.
LoneDigger
Alphonsus snorted as if what the other said was just some joke, and a bit of smoke blew out the creature's snout into Torin's face. "You're really starting to piss me off with all the self righteous bullshit... You thought having a dragon as a pet would just be cute? Is that it? Fool." StarGazer
Torin coughed and waved his hand to blow the smoke away. By the dragons reaction, he guessed it was a no. "I will do anything you want. Just let the man go... If you don't I will keep you in a trance until I can figure out a way to free him or until my vocal cords break. Whichever comes first. I am not backing down this time. You will listen to me."
LoneDigger
"I want you to open your eyes!" The dragon hissed, becoming more irritated again by Torin's sudden empathy towards the man that had on several occasions tried to kill them. StarGazer
"Look. I don't know what you're saying, but I can tell you don't agree with me on this.... If it makes you feel better, destroy the function of his hands so he can't hurt anyone else. Just don't kill." Torin reached up and hugged the dragon. "I know it's a lot to ask considering he hurt you so badly, but please just listen to my one selfish request."
LoneDigger
Alphonsus used his tail to lift Torin further away from him, he didn't want to be coddled by the other in front of Desmond. He was still skeptical why the other was suddenly being so forgiving and hissed to himself.
StarGazer
Torin was beginning to get frustrated. He didn't like being moved around like a doll. "Put me down and let the man go. You. Owe. Me." He wasn't planning to use such dirty tactics, but Alphonsus left him no choice. "I paid for you. If not for me you could still be chained up by him or maybe you would have been sold off to someone far worse. You do this one thing and I will consider your debt gone. You don't like being indebted to a human, do you?"
LoneDigger
Alphonsus did not like that, at all. He snarled to himself and plopped Torin down while he lumbered off with Desmond, as if mulling it over. Insufferable humans! He wished they'd all just leave him alone. Nothing but trouble they were...
StarGazer
Torin quickly followed after the dragon. He wasn't sure what he was doing and wanted to make sure he wouldn't kill Desmond. "Where are you going? Come back. I said to let him go." Echo followed them both. She had been staying quiet, but she really wanted to understand the dragon. "Why do you want to kill him so badly? Is it really worth it? I don't really understand because I'm not a carnivore, but wouldn't it just be easier to not argue with him?"
LoneDigger
"... Very well. He will be my prisoner because somehow you are so annoying that I couldn't image the whines that would come out of you if and I mean when, I put this bastard down." The dragon stated as he stood before Torin, towering over the human. His scales were obsidian, darker than the night itself. Hard and polished against attack. He was a handsome beast in a way, but still clearly a monster.
StarGazer
Torin tilted his head as he looked up at the rather large dragon. "I really wish I knew what you were saying... I hope you can understand me. If you are not going to kill Desmond, draw a circle on the ground with your claw. If you are going to kill him, draw an x on the ground." He knew Alphonsus wouldn't just randomly draw shapes on the ground so if he really did understand him, it would be really clear at that point. LoneDigger
The dragon cocked his head, seeming to think over it a bit before lifting his left paw to first scratch out a circle. But he wasn't finished, he then added an 'x' in the middle of it. Capture and then kill. Simple, right?
StarGazer
Torin relaxed when he saw the circle, but then frowned as he watched the dragon draw an x inside it. He walked over to the x and began to kick at the ground to make it unrecognizable. All that was left was the circle on the ground. Then he stepped back and pointed at the circle. "No killing." LoneDigger
Alphonsus stared as Torin did the unthinkable to his perfect 'x'. If it weren't for what was at stake, the beast would have laughed it off as the other just being stubborn. But given the message he was trying to speak, well... Torin had literally stomped over his opinion. Giving a short roar the dragon reared up before falling back down to the ground and scratching an even bigger 'X' "Don't defy what I am trying to tell you!" StarGazer
Torin almost fell back when he felt the earth shake from the impact of the dragon pounding back into the ground. "I said I don't want you to kill." he frowned as he watched him draw the larger X. He quickly walked over to it and smudged it out as well. "You're worried he's going to hurt us, right? Just make his hands useless. At least then he can walk out of this alive and he won't be a threat anymore." Desmond let out a long exasperated sigh. "Are you going to get this dragon under control or what? I've been quiet this whole time because you said you'd get me out of this. It's obvious you hold no power over him idiot child. He is a beast and all beasts need to die."
LoneDigger
The dragon hissed, and a bit of magma dripped from his mouth like saliva. He was growing tired of this, and Torin was testing his own resolve. He didn't want to hurt the one that had saved him, yes... But he was still a monster and Desmond needed to be taken care of. Speaking of which as soon as the man opened his mouth to speak Alphonsus snarled, squeezing harshly around the man with his clawed paw as if he were a merely doll and not real. "I'm starting to really hate you both!"
StarGazer
Desmond gritted his teeth as he tried to refrain from crying. The dragon was making it very hard for him to breath. He began gasping for air. If he could have, he would have cursed at alphonsus." Echo stepped between Torin and the dragon. "Don't you dare say anything bad about my master. He is only trying to help you. He doesn't want you to be a cold blooded killer like the other dragons. I agree that he should die. Someone that horrible shouldn't be allowed to live, but what's with the senseless torturing? First you claw out his eye and now you're crushing him. You have become quite sadistic since you changed forms... Before I was proud to call you a friend. Now I am just disgusted. If you're going to kill him, do it already. Quit dragging it out." Torin leaned against the mare for comfort. He hid his face in her mane as he hugged her neck. "How have things gotten so messed up? I wish Alphonsus would turn back already." he mumbled quietly. LoneDigger
"Help me? He's just trying to get us both killed, if Torin can't handle killing then it is a mystery to me how he has survive this long." The dragon scoffed, blowing out smoke as he leaned down to put his head closer to Echo's and gave a cruel grin. "Oh, and I don't take orders from mare's or humans." StarGazer
"It wasn't an order. It was a request. You know, I used to like talking to you. Now you're just a mean hardhearted jerk." Echo moved behind Torin and used her head to nudge his back. Let's get out of here. You don't need that dragon. I'l stay with you forever." Torin was surprised by the sudden push. "What are you doing Echo? This is no time to be playing." "I'm not playing. We're leaving." The mare pushed him again, this time a little harder. She wanted to get away from the dragon, but she would not leave Torin behind. Torin frowned slightly. He knew something was up because she never acted like this before, but he didn't realize it was because of Alphonsus. "Quit pushing me already. I'm going, ok? What's got you so spooked?" He asked as he followed the mare. After he figured out what was bothering her, he would return.
