The Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics! Spectators and Volunteers!

Hi guys!

 

So, we have a lot of members here, and love for yaoi&BL can’t be the only thing we have in common, right? XD

 

Maybe you are interested in sports (or, you know, athletes ) and planning to go to Japan in 2020 as a spectator? Or maybe you are planning to participate as a volunteer? Btw, according to the Tokyo Organizing Committee the registration for volunteers will end in early December, so you still have some time to think this through. As for me, I have registered as a volunteer but I am not sure, maybe I will cancel it and go just as a spectator. I was an interpreter-volunteer during the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi and it was an amazing experience, so I haven’t decided yet.

 

The thing is, the Olympic Games are always a freaking huge deal, it’s like a never-ending festival and you don’t even need to like sports to enjoy it.

 

Think about it. Are you planning to visit Japan in the next couple of years? How about to visit it during the greatest festival of this century? For Japan at least, but it will be awesome and fun, I just know it! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

 

And we can do it together! We can share an accommodation, travel together, go to stadiums and see other entertaining activities (and there will be a lot of them), etc.

 

I mean, I know Japanese well enough to work as a translator but I haven’t visited Japan on my own and I’d very appreciate any help. Again, with finding the best accommodation, travel tips, etc. I am sure YO has members who lived or lives or will live (during the Olympics) in Japan, maybe you can help me (us! I hope I will find here my future comrades for this adventure!).
