I know that no one can ever replace Daisuke and Mao as Takumi and Gii and it will never ever be the same if anyone attempts to recast new actors to play the roles for a spinoff movie. The best they can do is at least show old footage of Daisuke and Mao in the movie even if they cannot be PHYSICALLY In the movie. that way there is a sense of continuity.. HOWEVER... the only more effective way to recast new actors to play Takumi and Gii is IF they show the timeline to be before Shidou. maybe show Takumi and Gii as young kids or middle schoolers. but they have to choose actors that resemble Mao and Daisuke closely. If that works...that will generate a whole new fandom for them. Besides Daisuke and Mao have worked together for FOUR films..that is speaking a lot and in those four films a lot has happened between them. it's not surprising that they would like to branch out to other roles esp Daisuke since he's already hitting 30 years old...he can't always keep playing a high school student anymore. Except for Mao, he's still young, He can still be cast as a high school student. OMG! does anyone know when is Taiki's birthday and how old is he now? I know Baba-chan is 26. He'll be 27 this December. KYAAA! i found it! Taiki is Feb 18, 1988 OMG!!! Taiki is 23 and from my opinion he looks tounger than his actual age...lol woth his chibi body and cute appearance i almost think of him as 20... such a cutie pie!!!!! I keep looking all over and it's not easy. sometimes i get lucky but for the most part, i keep seeing the same images over and over. Baba-chan on the other hand seem to have more pics than him. I just find it really adorable when Taiki says Baba-chan with that cute accent of his. muah! yeah Daisuke isn't 30 yet but he's pushing close to it. that's why i figured that he can't be playing a high school student much longer because his features have already very much matured. i know that a timeline before Shidou would be a long stretch for a film to show Takumi and Gii but we dunno how producers think anyways. They can keep milking the popularity of the series and maybe go that far. Who knows? We can only wait and see and hope and be surprised. @pampai & @Last_sky16 I am try to find that magazine... Some one said about DVD release will be 6 months after theater release... That was what it has been on Takumi-kun series so far... 6 months from theater release mean... DVD will be out in sometime in Feb.... --;;;; Oh..................................................No.......................................... The Takumi-kun HP still not saying anything about DVD release... The person who wrote that was telling from the what has have in all this time... So what she say it true... we still have 4 more months to go... This can't be truth... I can't wait that long... I was hoping latest will be the Jan.... but, Feb... no...
