An Ancient Feud (Private, 18+)

"Hey Kaine!" Alise greeted with a happy smile though there was the protective arm around her she gave Kaine a quick hug knowing that Shi wouldn't tolerate the action for long even though she had initiated it. "Hey Tenmo!" She called to the other wolf before her eyes moved to the two new members of the family. "You two must be Ash and Ren." Alise said with a gentle smile her eyes moving from Ash who she noticed had moved to protectively sit by the smaller boy to Ren who was seemingly trying to hide behind Ash at the sight of her husband. This made her laugh and she pat Shi's arm, "He looks scary I know. But he's harmless, I swear." She told the pair not wanting them to be afraid of Shi.

 

It seemed that Alise was able to read his mind considering the fact that she was leaning forward to give him a quick hug. His smile grew as she greeted the boys though Ren was still trying to hide behind Ash at the sight of Shi. Ren's green eyes had grown large at the sight of the new man he was definitely terrifying in appearance and he could only imagine that he had the behavior to match. His cat ears had made a reappearance and were flat on his head. When the girl spoke though her tone was relaxing even if the appearance of her husband was anything but. Ren could see himself liking her right away but it would take him awhile to warm up to the presence of the other man.

Shi kept quiet, muttering "Fair chance" to himself repeatedly, finally letting go of the protective arm around Alise. His tail and ears made an appearance, both straight in alert. His tail wagged a tiny bit when he was being pat by Alise, quickly back to an alert position once she had stopped.

 

Tenmo went up to Shi and the other two with his tail and ears exposed as well. "Nice to see you again Shi, been awhile. I got snacks for all of us so why don't we all sit down and eat some strawberries together hmm? I know you are a softy for strawberries because they remind you of a certain someone" He grinned, patting Alises arm quickly so Shi would detense quickly once he saw her touch her arm

Ren was feeling a little braver after Tenmo and Kaine had greeted the pair. Now completely as a panther he moved close by keeping low to the ground his ears still flat on his head. But it wasn't Alise he went up to, instead he stretched his neck out to sniff at Shi's arms when he thought he was distracted by Tenmo and the talk of strawberries. Taking the opportunity to inspect the otherwise terrifying man.

 

Kaine tried his best to keep a positive outlook on this despite how clearly unsure and worried Ash and Ren seemed to be about Shi. Knowing from experience that the wolf had a quite intimidating appearance and even an intimidating aura about him. Alise noticing that Ren had come over to inspect her husband tried to keep him occupied on the subject of strawberries. "I guess it's a good thing I didn't fill him up on strawberries before we came over." She replied nudging her husband gently in a teasing manner.

Positive...Fair..He kept thinking to himself as he was fully aware of the small boy coming up to him. It was just a child so he was tense but not as tense as he would be if it were Ash approaching him. Just pretend its a cat Solaria...breath....He kept thinking to himself before he was brought back into the conversation with a small nudge from Alise. "I'd eat more.." He said plainly, eyes darting back and forth between everyone and the small child. His tail swayed a tiny bit as he looked over the small one.

 

Tenmo thought it was going over well despite the warning Otso gave, figuring it may also be that Ren is a child that he is not doing more for the moment. He hoped somehow they could make Shi more approachable or bring out the sweeter side but knew how he was around new people in general and just the general aura he gave off naturally. "Yup, we made sure to get plenty for everyone to share" He said as Ash kept his eyes locked on Ren

The moment he saw Shi's tail start to slowly sway Ren lowered himself to the ground before he was playfully batting at it. At least until Kaine told him to stop playing with Shi's tail. "It's not nice, Ren." Kaine scolded the boy who had his ears perked up now and was looking from Kaine to the tail that was swaying and back again with a paw still halfway outstretched. "But... I just wanna catch it..." Ren murmured as his eyes kept darting back and forth.

 

"More than enough." Kaine replied as he was moving back to the kitchen to get some more snacks. Alise was watching Ren try to play with Shi's tail even if Kaine had told him not to do it. To her it was undeniably cute, especially since she knew that if their kids could turn into wolves too that they'd more than likely end up batting at his tail too. It just gave her a slight insight to what their lives would look like and she thought it was adorable. Turning her gaze from Ren to Shi Alise was hooking her arms with his and leaning against his side to keep him content.

The boy was patting at his tail...Shi thought as he took a deep breath, Alise at his side able to keep him collected. He would get a few tail batts from growing up with the pack so it was at least not an uncommon situation but seeing the werechild do it was rather weird. Alise leaned against his side was able to give him some comfort, slowly lowering his tail at least within the pups....childs reach.

 

Tenmo noticed the subtle movement but dared not point it out as to ruin the moment and the somewhat nice gesture from Shi. He was doing something cute so it was best not to ruin it now.."Let me go get the bowls!" He grinned happily as he went to get the multiple bowls of fruit from the fridge

The tail had lifted up out of his reach which caused Ren to reach up for it the best he could but he knew that if Shi had lifted it up it was because he didn't appreciate him batting at it. For a moment he stayed like that before he was sitting down inching a little closer. It seemed that Shi soon accepted it as his tail lowered again allowing him to bat at it a little more his own tail flicking happily. He could at least enjoy this for the minute knowing that when they all sat down for the movie he'd lose his chance. It didn't take him long to get bored of this too though and he was soon jumping up on the couch and claiming a spot though green curious eyes remained on the larger figure.

 

Kaine returned to start putting snacks on the coffee table, different kinds of chips, a few different dips, some popcorn and even an array of drinks for them all to choose from while they watched movies together. "Why don't you two get comfortable?" He offered them motioning to the couch. Ren shifted himself closer to the edge as though knowing the pair would want some space.

Shi sat down on the couch, making himself comfortable on the couch. His arm went back right around Alise, holding her close to his side again. He noticed the small child looking at him again, the older one watching him and Ren closely. He looked to Alise, not sure what to do with the child staring at him in such a curious child like way. He didn't know what to do with him or how to satiate him..

 

Tenmo helped with the snacks, seeing Ash was more protective and watchful of Ren near Shi than Ren being curious of him. "He is not going to hurt him Ash, I know he looks scary but he can be a big softy" He smiled, not sure how he was going to comfort the trio of Ash, Ren and Shi

After Shi and Alise had settled on the couch and he had watched him for a little longer Ren moved hesitantly closer again before curling up comfortably next the Shi. Not minding himself that he had pressed himself against the other a bit happily looking at the TV now and waiting for the movie to start. Tail lazily flicking to show he was content to stay just like that even a purr sound coming out of him. "I like you." Ren suddenly said his eyes moving from the TV to Shi looking up at the other their eyes locking. He didn't sense any danger from the larger man and even though he had been warned to be careful because Alise was pregnant and he was protective of her he couldn't bring himself to not want to be close to them. So far he just genuinely seemed to like new people. After a cautionary period of course, he still had to take a moment to make sure they weren't a threat first.

 

Kaine was glad to see that Ren seemed to like Shi and even Alise thought it was adorable. "You've made a cute new friend." She teased her husband reaching over Shi to scratch behind Ren's ears causing Ren to purr louder now his eyes drifting shut for a moment. It was clear when she stopped that Ren wasn't ready for it to end yet but he was behaving himself and staying put so she didn't he didn't object. Instead he was inviting Ash to join them as he started the first movie. It was a kids movie but he thought it was the best thing to start with because of Ren and because he used to watch movies like these with Alise all the time before Tenmo and Shi.

Shi felt clueless and unsure of everything when Ren had made his way over to him and started cuddling him so suddenly. he was more surprised by Rens admission of liking him so suddenly. Ren sort of reminded him of when he was first introduced to Solaria in how trusting and loving she was of strangers. He didn't know what to do about it but..it was nice. "I guess.." He responded with a very slow tail wag. He was kind of cute...He thought to himself as the child looked up at him with such innocent doe eyes.

 

"See? He is nice, got the sons seal of approval" Tenmo smiled with a tiny laugh. It was nice to call him his son out loud, still getting used to it but he loved it! Tenmo finally sat down comfortably besides Kaine, keeping an eye on everyone but moreso Shi and Ash

Happy that Shi didn't seem to hate him being so close Ren turned his gaze back to the movie. For awhile he was just happy to sit there like that silently watching the movie and behaving himself. When he got hungry again he changed back to be able to reach for some different snacks sniffing a chip before hesitantly licking it to see what it tasted like. After finding that he didn't like that kind he tried a different kind until he found one he did like putting all the discarded licked chips in front of Kaine who was sitting nearby.

 

Kaine laughed but took the chips from Ren each time until he seemed to find a flavor he liked and stuck to. He was just glad that everyone seemed to be getting along. Leaning back against Tenmo as he turned his gaze from Ren to Ash as Tenmo still seemed to be trying to get the older of the two to relax. For a second he just sat there before he thought he might be able to bribe Ash showing the other that he had more slices of apple. "Come on. You can sit beside us if you don't feel comfortable enough." He encouraged Ash giving him a loving smile and patting the free spot on the other side of him.

 

Alise had taken some strawberries to munch on herself while sharing them with Shi taking turns to pop one in her mouth or his. She figured if she kept Shi distracted it would give Ash a good opportunity to come closer to the group and relax as well. Just as Ren was doing who was still sitting happily beside Shi and munching on chips. Occasionally he'd attempt something new but like before whenever he didn't like it he was quick to take it out of his mouth and give it to Kaine who wasn't always an eager receiver. Alise ended up finding this cute too though because Ren wasn't remotely shy about it as he handed it over not really giving Kaine the opportunity to refuse. "You're doing great, love." She praised Shi softly wanting him to know that she thought he was doing great and really giving them a chance.

Shi let out a tiny happy growl at Alises praise with a happy ear twitch, happy to be told he was doing a good job by her. His tail wagged a bit faster, even if he was silent. He watched as Kaine seemed to bribe the older of the children with apples. He watched at the older on grew closer, seemingly lured by the bribe to sit beside Kaine, far away from him. He seemed to tense up when he finally heard the child speak up. "What's with the odd looking arm...? And someone scary like yourself, how did you and a softer delicate woman like her end up mating?"

 

"Do not be rude Ash! That is not a polite way of asking a question" Tenmo said with a stern look before softly sighing. "Do you mind answering the question Alise?" He asked with a soft look, wondering if the answer of the arm and them getting together might help Ash relax a little. Maybe their story might help the boys see Shi in another light?

Once Ash had come over and sat beside him Kaine happily gave the boy the plate of apple slices he had been using to bribe him into coming closer. Kaine had just taken a piece of popcorn from Ren who had pulled it out of his mouth with a disgusted look and was hastily handing it to him when he heard Ash's question. He was shocked by the bluntness and turned towards the boy but before he could even say anything Tenmo had already beat him to it sternly telling Ash that wasn't a polite way to ask a question. "I like it! It's cool!" Ren said turning to Shi and looking at the other's arm not even really caring for the reason behind it but finding it really cool.

 

"Shi lost his arm when we were having some troubles with human hunters." Alise told Ash patting Shi's leg gently to help him relax again. Knowing that it was still a sore subject for him and in many ways it was for her too but she didn't mind answering the question especially since she was sure that Shi wasn't going to be talkative here either. It wasn't like him and she honestly loved his quiet side. "Human hunters know about the supernatural world, like vampires and werewolves and they seek to hunt them out and destroy them." She explained what she had meant by human hunters. They didn't hunt other humans, they were humans and they were hunters.

 

"As for the two of us... well... I guess I just fell in love with how strong and silent he is. Not to mention he's really sweet." She told Ash turning her loving gaze from her husband to the boy. "It just kind of... happened. One day he was just attending a dance lesson I was giving Otso and the next we were going out... attending your Dad's wedding together. Our relationship just flourished from there." Alise thought back on it a fond smile appearing. Tapping his chin thoughtfully she glanced towards Tenmo. "Did I miss anything?" She asked wondering if there was something he wanted to add to it that maybe he remembered and she didn't. Then a new thought came to her as she leaned back a little looking between Tenmo and Kaine. "Alright love birds, spill it. Which one of you is Dad and whose going to be Daddy?" She asked an amused look crossing her face as she was interested in learning who was going to take on which name for the boys.

Shi hated thinking about the hunters and that day that felt like forever ago. The pain he felt when he thought he lost the woman he opened his heart to...he remembered his scream, the pain that exceeded even him arm being taken off. It hurt..and he would never forget it. He silently rested his head on her shoulder, taking in some of her scent to keep himself calm. He stopped having the nightmares as frequently but they still happened. “They said they killed her...I was a wreck...” He added in quietly before he heard Tenmo speak up. “Otso said you bonded first over your love of strawberries while he and Bryan were dancing when you teased him. Mentioned how they smelled like her and you kept using strawberry bath stuff after it..” Tenmo added which earned him a glare from Shi, making him laugh. “Oh, and I’m Daddy, no questions asked” He said with a small wink, an arm around Kaine with a big smirk

 

Shi speaks again..his voice seemed to quiver when he spoke and he looked and now sounded like a fierce and mighty warrior. Ash looked over the man curiously, seeming quite confused that this big scary guy went to a dance lesson of all things. “What’s so funny?” He asked, not sure why the term for a father earned a laugh

"He even tasted like strawberries when we first kissed!" Alise said with a soft laugh. "I must say I absolutely love how you always smell of strawberries." She added leaning up to give Shi a kiss a bright smile on her face after their lips parted. When Tenmo said that he was Daddy no questions and how Kaine was blushing as the arm was wrapped around him made her laugh still finding it cute how the two were together. Kaine on the other hand was trying to get his blush to disappear especially as he saw the smirk on the other's face. "I swear you're going to kill me." He groaned out though he was leaning happily into the other's side. Tenmo always seemed to find a way to make him blush and while sometimes he hated how easily he blushed for his husband other times he didn't really mind.

Shis eats twitched happily when Alise kissed him, his attention diverted back to his lovely Alise. Even his tail resurfaced just to wag itself a bit at the loving attention he was getting. Ash seemed to relax a tiny bit at the others softer body language, watching this scary guy wagging his tail happily and smiling like he was a child. It was a weird sight but...it was nice. Tenmo couldn’t help himself from smiling more at Kaines comment and blush, kissing the top of his head. He turned back to the movie, a loving arm wrapped around him

Seeing Ash relax made Kaine more relaxed, happily leaning into Tenmo's side as he watched the movie. An arm wrapped around his puppy's waist as they were cuddling. This was nice, that all of them were able to be together and just relax without and worries in the world. Alise was just as happy to relax against Shi as they watched movies and snacked on different snacks. It was a nice change from what they normally did even if it was similar in so many ways. The addition of Kaine, Tenmo and the boys seemed to make it so much nice. At some point during the movies Ren had fallen asleep on the couch beside Shi curled up against him as a panther once more. Kaine hadn't even noticed he had fallen asleep much less turned into the panther again until he glanced towards the small figure to make sure he was still okay since he had been quite for quite some time.

Tenmo was busy watching the movie once Ash seemed to further relax but still caught a few side glances in his direction as if to check on him. Tenmo looked to Ren and couldnt help but softly smile at the sleeping panter. Not only that, Shi had his free arm resting lightly on Rens panther body. He thought the sight was simply too adorable to handle and he tried not to have the biggest grin. Shi was slowly petting Rens sleeping body absentmidnly, still watching the movie. He was more relaxed, head still resting on Alises shoulder.

Ren was sleeping soundly next to Shi soft little purrs coming from his sleeping form at the petting. Feeling completely relaxed beside Shi not finding him as scary as he had when the man had first entered the house. At some point in his sleep he shifted stretching out his little legs, head ending up laid on Shi's leg using it as a pillow. A soft huff escaping his little body before he was falling still again.

 

Kaine was relaxed and happy against Tenmo's side eyes on the movie while he was eating some popcorn. He caught that Tenmo was distracted by something else for a moment seeing a smile appear on his face and his husband clearly trying not to let it become a complete grin. Following the other's eyes his gaze fell on the sleeping Ren and Shi absently petting him while his head was resting on Alise's shoulder. It really was adorable and heartwarming, glad that Shi didn't seem to mind that Ren was so close and snuggled to him.

 

Alise was still sharing strawberries with Shi as they watched the movie. Her cheek resting on the top of his head as it was resting on his shoulder. She glanced over to him at one point to see how he was petting the sleeping figure of Ren and it warmed her heart to see that. At first she had been worried that Shi wouldn't relax with the boys here and wouldn't like them, she felt tremendous relief to see how he was actually bonding with Ren. Even if it was just absent petting while the boy slept it still made her incredibly happy to see it. She kissed the top of her husband's head before turning back to the movie not wanting to bring too much attention to it to where he would stop or get embarrassed.

Ash had slowly made his way closer to Shi throughout the course of the movie, eventually laying across Shis feet so he could be closer to Ren. His need to be closer to Ren best out his unease of Shi. The other movements seemed still and did not seem like he would attack, slowly closing his eyes. He kept trying to stay a last and aware but felt so relaxed and so tired even if it was not late in the day.

 

Shi was humming happily, letting out relaxed quiet hums against the others shoulder after his head was kissed. He was too focused and happy beside his wife to care about anything else, his hand still absentmindedly petting Rens head. His head slowly lowered so it rested carefully against Alises stomach, moving Ren quietly so he was laying against his chest.

 

Tenmo had to bite his lips down hard at the adorable sight, looking between Kaine and Alise. He was doing so well and was quite happy with his things were going. He was very proud of Shi as well, not wanting time draw attention to it and embarrass him, happy his territorial nature allowed such a moment

Kaine was just finding things cuter and cuter the more he saw. How Ash laid across Shi's feet to be closer to Ren while being relaxed enough to seemingly fall asleep himself. How Shi shifted to lay his head against Alise's stomach shifting Ren so the small panther was lying against his chest. "I wish we could get a picture of this." Kaine whispered softly to Tenmo not wanting to draw too much attention to it but really loving what he saw. It was just so... perfect. He loved how well today was going.

 

It seemed that spending the day snacking and watching movies had been a great idea. Kaine got up at some point to make everyone a nice dinner. Ren had woken up halfway through the second movie but was too happy to move remaining in his spot against Shi's chest purring happily with eyes shut occasionally nuzzling the larger man. Alise was pleased to have everyone getting along so well and was enjoying all the company. When dinner was done Kaine called everyone to the table to eat and they had a nice meal together talking about different things. Kaine even took the opportunity to voice how happy he was that Alise hadn't had the babies while they were gone. This made Alise laugh but she voiced again that it wasn't up to her when their kids would come it was all up to them at this point.

 

The rest of the night went by in a blur after dinner they watched another movie before finally saying their goodbyes. Ren a bit reluctantly finally letting Shi out of his sight, it seemed that little Ren had ended up really liking the man which made Kaine extremely happy. After Ren said goodbye giving both Shi and Alise a hug Kaine took him upstairs to get him tucked into bed leaving Ash and Tenmo to say their goodbyes before he'd check on Ash to make sure he was settled in bed as well.

Tenmo tried to subtly move his hand, moving at a snails pace to try and grab the cellphone in his pocket. Shi didn’t seem to be paying attention and he really wanted a photo to commemorate the occasion. He managed to snag a picture without Shi noticing, a big grin on his face before he went to stay the phone before Shi could notice he had taken a picture of him.

 

All of the boys eventually got up, Shi getting up when Ash finally got off his feet. He realized he was petting the boy at last but didn’t mind, waiting for him to wake before he moved. Everyone enjoyed a nice dinner, Ash not seeming as tense as when he first saw Shi but still remained vigilant about the metal arm man. Otherwise, the dinner went by peacefully and the second movie enjoyed

 

Shi looked down at the small boy who seemed to grow attached to him over the course of the night. Ren reminded him of Otso a tiny bit and Solaria as well in how much they seemed to like him. “Goodnight..” He said quietly, a hesitant hand reaching out and patting his head. Ash managed a quiet “Goodbye” to Shi and Alise before Tenmo took Ren upstairs to put him to bed

"It was great that you guys were able to come by and visit." Kaine told the pair after Ash and Ren had gone up to bed. "We'll definitely have to do this again." He told them. Alise was quick to agree and after finishing saying their goodbyes she was leading Shi out of the house and back towards their home. "Tonight was nice. Don't you think?" She asked him as they were walking back. The moon was up at this point and the night was clear the stars shinning brightly. It didn't take them long to get back home though and they were heading up the stairs and to their room.

 

After Shi and Alise left Kaine went upstairs to find Tenmo. "Still wanna join me in the tub? Or will I be relaxing in it alone tonight?" He asked his husband not really giving his puppy a chance to answer before he was leaving and heading into their bathroom already turning on the water to get it nice and warm. A perfect way to relax and get ready for bed.

“Yes...” Shi said quietly as he started the walk back home with Alise. He did have to admit the smallest one was quite adorable and squired him way into his lap..maybe his heart too. Maybe..just maybe..he could allow her to get out more if it was to visit Tenmo and Kaine. Maybe more so so he could look over the small curious child again.

 

Tenmo didn’t have to be asked, quick to follow Kaine towards the tub. He quickly went into the bathroom, undressing himself and smiled happily. He always loved the quiet relaxing bath sessions with Kaine. He loved anytime with Kaine regardless of what they did. He waited for the tub to fill, getting in first and waiting for the other to join him

"Ren seemed to really like you." Alise added with a smile her loving eyes moving up to him as they made it to her room and were getting comfortable in the bed. "They're both quite cute, don't you think?" She questioned him as she waited for Shi to join her before she was getting comfortable against him. "Ash is such a reserved boy too, he seems to have the hardest time trusting people. I wonder what it was like back in their village." Alise was quite curious about the boys and where they had come from but she was also tired and was falling asleep as she was talking. Even if they hadn't done much today, the walk there and back had tired her out making it quick for her to fall asleep.

 

A small smirk appeared on Kaine's face at seeing how eager Tenmo was to join him. Not that he was remotely complaining. Slipping out of his clothes he was quick to join his husband in the water, leaning back against the other man, turning his head and tilting it back to give the other man a deep loving kiss. "This is nice. We haven't had the opportunity to do this in awhile. Not since we left the hotel in the Bahamas." He mused.
