I couldn't believe it, it felt like I had been punched in the gut. I literally froze on my keyboard and then went berserk. But from what I read, they say he had been hospitalised for about a month and had had several surgeries along with treatment for a ruptured cecal, who most probably caused peritonitis, and that he also had a difficult time recovering. His death shocked so many fans, WORLDWIDE--from US to Europe and Southeast Asia; it already left significant and permanent impact on the gay community in Japan in my opinion. Masaki and Tien appeared in an episode of LGTB documentary film series, 'We Are Out'. Although, I was not a fan or knew him personally, I already knew he helped a lot just from being out.
