Sosuke0549
Humans have crossed the line... with countless forests disappearing, junk in the oceans, harmful gasses in the atmosphere, trash littering the streets... It was only a matter of time before they would kill Mother Nature. A spirit that guarded the Human race and tried to teach them to be kinder, to care about were they live...but we refused to learn and before she died nature had consumed us all... However, dispite her passing she didn't leave Mankind with nothing. She left behind her son and daughter to rule over humans until they saw there error of there ways...Its been over a hundred years now and the only thing that's change is the population of humans. Dropping tremendously. The earth is now completely covered in vines, trees, and all sorts of plant life along with man eating plants mother nature left behind to protect her children. CHARACTERS Name~ BLOOM Age~ unknown Personality~ A kind spirt to all living things except humans. She is hateful towards them and is still bitter about the humans killing her mother having no mercy for them. Despite her hatred of humans, she is also frightened by them since she was almost hurt by a human. She is scared of fire and bombs. Background~ unknown Like(s)~ all things nature, animals, water Dislike(s)~ humans, fire, bombs, knives, and guns Name~ Vine Age~ unknown Personality~ Vine is curious about humans unlike his twin sister He thinks they can change. Tho he is also scared of them. He often finds himself watching them from a far- but too scared to approach them. He's shy at first but kind hearted. Like(s)~all things nature, animals, water Dislike(s)~ fire, bombs, knives, and guns Beginning Post: Vine sat at the edge of the underground lake finding comfort in how quite it was. Him and his sister have been living underground for decades now, finding it safer than being up on the surface with the humans. He dipped his feet into the cooling water. Even though he was living underground there was still plenty of light. The plants that thrived underground glowed in all sorts of colors, illuminating his surroundings. Even the water faintly glowed a soft blue. It was still fairly early in the morning and Vine knew that the human's would be hunting for food. He had been watching a few of them for months now. They seemed so scary with there large knives and fire torches. He was connected to nature, to every living plant and befriended every animal. So when the humans killed or cut anything. He felt it all. A faint stinging pain went threw out his body, every time a vine was cut with their knives, every flower plucked and pulled petal by petal, every burning forest demolished. There suffering made his heartache. He could still remember the day his sister yelled at him. He had tried to talk to her about possibly...making peace with the humans. But the moment he mentioned it, she quickly shot him down, refusing. "THEY KILLED MOTHER! Do you think if you met them they wouldn't kill you too?! Why do you think mother left us the man eating plants! It was for our protection Vine! To protect us from them! I know you think humans have a good side to them but they don't.. every day they hurt us... burn our family!..... Stay away from them Vine...humans are savages... There nothing but monsters..." He sighed heavily, staring down at his reflection. Everything Bloom said was true but....he couldn't help but...care. He slowly brought his hand up to his chest, feeling his heart beat. Is this how mother felt? Conflicted? "tweet tweet" Vine paused hearing LaLa. A small conary he stumbled apon weeks ago. She was very friendly and instantly took a liking to him, never wanting to leave his side. "LaLa...how are you?" The little yellow bird sat on his shoulder nuzzling and snuggling into his neck. Vine giggled a little as the bird chirped happy to see him. He understood her. " I see..the humans are to the east and approaching....thank you LaLa.." He kissed the birds little head and quickly headed out of the underground cave. He pulled his feet out of the water and allowed vines from the surface to wrap around his body, the ground from above parting and creating a hole for him to go threw. In momemts he was on the surface, feeling the sun hit his skin. Vine smiled kissing the vines as a thank you before finding a huge tree to climb. He climbed it with ease, quickly reached the top, his eyes scanning and searching for the humans that were fast approaching. A group of men were coming closer and closer, making there way threw the forest. Humans had no clue of what him and sister looked like... before his mother died she told the humans of their existence, but they had never faced them, let alone interacted with them. Decades have passed now, and Vine couldn't help but wonder if they even knew about there existence.
virtualoo
Name: Marcus Rainer Age:21 Personality: He has had to learn how to take care of himself from a young age, his parents dying young from what he wanted or could remember about their passing. Due to this, he can have a tough exterior to most people, not wanting to open himself up and be vulnerable. He had to show he could be strong Likes: Nature, animals and wild berries Dislikes: People who tarnish nature for no reason, feeling weak and powerless Marcus was preparing for a hunt along with a few other members of his 'tribe'. Their supplies were running low and they all knew they needed to branch out and not hunt too much in one area. It could easily diminish their supplies and then they would have nothing to eat from that area. He packed his fishing gear and anything else he thought he might need. He did not want to pack too much for it would slow him down. He had to eat meat to survive...He could not live on berries alone. He left the clay hut that he called home along with the rest of them, heading towards the west. They normally did not venture out this far, for it was dangerous to venture too far from their home. But as they had stated before, it was risky to keep hunting in one area alone. They ventured out further and further, needing to take out some road blocks along the way. The group decided to separate into groups, Marcus daring to venture alone. He never got a chance to explore, everyone always protective of him. 'You lost your parents, not you as well' or 'It's far too dangerous' or any number of things. This was his one chance to explore nature for himself..Surely they could get enough food for everyone if he failed in his task...right? Marcus came across a small clearing in the forest, spotting a bunch of rabbits nearby. He knew he should be taking them down right now..It was part of his job and survival. He went to reach into his bag and changed his mind after a moment, ending up sitting down to watch them. He did not have the heart to break up their family like his was broken...when all of them were together.
Sosuke0549
Vine observed the humans from afar, hidden and high above in his tree. He was a little surprised to see the humans start to separate. It was harder to watch them all if they all went in separate directions. He sighed softly, his eyes falling on a dark haired boy who was going farther into the forest than the rest of the humans, straying from the path. Where's he going? He perked up, taking interest in him. His eyes following him carefully as he reacted a cleaning. The human quickly spoted some wild rabbits. Vine almost looked away, unable to watch a human kill a wild animal much less a family of rabbits but to his surprise, the boy stopped. Why? Didn't Humans need to eat rabbits to survive? Wasn't he hungry? What compelled him to stop? To spare the animals? Vine was told that humans were incapable of compassion...or sympathy...and yet...is that not what he just witnessed ? His eyes widened as he watched the boy take a seat in the grass, observing the animals in there natural habbit. Was he...admiring them? Vine had never seen such a thing! Was he...smiling? The peace that filled the forest was very short lived as one of the humans friends stumbled apon a man eating plant. It was shaped like a flower, having teeth on its petals as well as thrones covering its vines. It screeched loudly, alerting the rest of the sleeping plants, letting them know that humans were trespassing on there terf. Oh no... Vine watched in horror as of the flowers came up from the ground, circling around the kind human. Would the human be able to escape...or....would he die? S-should I...stop them? He...he didn't do anything wrong...
virtualoo
Marcus hated himself that he could not bring himself to hurt a rabbit when it was with his family but he felt in was the right thing to do. Maybe he could have if it was alone but breaking up a family when they were together just felt wrong to him. It was not right..even if his friends seemed to think so otherwise. He continued to admire the animals for a short while, smiling at them from his sitting position. He snapped to attention when he looked to the side and noticed James had disturbed a man eating plant. "You are supposed to tread carefully...! Are you nuts?!" He said as the rabbits scampered off and the one plant screeched for all of its friends to come to the area. "I wanted food, you are the one just sitting there!" James yelled back as he got his knife out, ready for a fight as the vines surrounded them. "You can't be that trigger happy it had a family!" Marcus quickly retorted, James being quick to say back "Food is survival, who cares if it was with a family or not!" James said as the vines only closed further around him. "i am not doing this right now!" Marcus said back as the vines and plants crept closer and closer. Marcus swung his bag around, smacking it onto the ground. His hope was that the noise and the distraction would be enough for the vines around James to leave him alone long enough for him to run. James took the chance to run at his first opportunity, saying "Meet back up at base!" James shouted, thinking he had to get away and quick, also warning the others about the dangerous plant life in the area. But now that left him alone with a bunch of killer plants and no other target. Attacking would not do any good as he was very outnumbered and attacking one might anger the rest.
