Hades returned quickly but gave the other man time to properly clean himself before coming in. Seeing how the younger god was out of the water and waiting for him he handed him the towel and leaned back against the closed door but didn't hurry out this time. "I always though this room looked like a place for company but you're the first person other than me to live in the palace." He commented and looked out over the water, not wanting to stare at the smaller man. "Maybe we can take a swim just for the hell of it some other time?"

Persephone dried his hair before the rest of his body as he waited for Hades to finish what he was saying. “We should..It is a lot more fun to just go swimming than bathe in here anyway” Persephone laughed as he finally was getting dressed. “I wasn’t expecting a beautiful pool down here..Lit by candles it is really gorgeous!” He smiled warmly up at him.

Hades returned the smile though he regretted not being more forward and asking the younger god to join him this time. Thee would have many other chances to do this though and he was in no hurry. "Of course it's nice, it was all built for a king." He commented with a small smirk and winked at the other man.

“I mean of course! You are the king of the underworld so if course tHey would make things as beautiful as possible for you” Persephone smiled, thinking about his wet hair. It would have to dry naturally but he didn’t mind. Even if it would look flat and cling to his neck for a bit.

-"I suppose it's an advantage that all artists and builders come down here one day." Hades sounded amused but there was nothing untrue about what he said. "I'm sure you had much nicer things on the surface... Or maybe the world of the living isn't as great as i think. I've been down here so long I'm not sure any more if the things I remember about the surface are true."

“I’m sure they are just as nice as down here..like you said the artists start off up there anyway but you will have them to eternity” Persephone said with a bigger smile. “Let’s go in tomorrow for pool day, take a chance to relax from your job..It’s probably difficult..” he said with a smal frown.

-"Not all of the dead stay. If they give up their previous life and all memory of it, they can be reborn in the surface world." Hades explained and wondered if Persephone and the other gods were immune to the waters that washed away memory like he was. "My job isn't so difficult with my powers.. I like to avoid it any way." Ha admitted with a small laugh, looking forward to swimming lazily with the younger man.

“Ah..That is pretty interesting..” Persephone said, realizing how that night possibly be a problem for a god. Bit that any god would dare try it and find out. That would cause many problems if it did succeed to have a god lose their memory of their former life and be reborn. “Anyway, you said you wanted to show me how to deal with the dead today? Unless you want to save her for tomorrow and then have a relaxing swim after?” He smiled, looking forward to it all.

"We can go out now, if that's what you'd like." Hades offered and assumed that by now he didn't even have to tell the younger man how he'd stay close to him and protect him from any danger. "Yesterday I was at the market, today it an be a less busy place."

“Sounds good to me!” Persephone smiled as he snakes his arm around the others arms to hold it. “Lead the way!” He said with a smile, wondering what a market in the underworld was like. Perhaps he already passed it first arriving or in his frantic running, but it would be nice all the Same to see.

Hades wondered if the younger man's wet hair would bother him but it was equally cold in the palace and outside, not to mention it was unlikely Persephone would get sick. He was thankful for the way the smaller god latched onto him and he started to think there was no need to be shy around him any more. "We wont go too far." Hades promised as they passed the courtyard and entered the streets.

“Okay, I’m staying right by you all the same so I don’t get lost so it’s okay” Persephone smiled as they left the comfort of the others home. He looked around the streets, holding him tighter so he would not lose Hades. The last time he was not near Hades..He did not want to think about any longer. Persephone kept looking around for the market, his hair thankfully not dropping and looking like it was near drying.

After a day rumors had spread and more spirits turned to study Hades and the smaller man on his arm. Their king wasn't a rare sight but everything he'd done since he'd laid eyes on the other god was unlike him and everyone noticed the near insanity of their situation.

-"The area around the palace is full of all spirits who have just arrived. Some of them are dangerous and other criminals gather here to take advantage of anyone who doesn't know how the underworld functions. It's not very safe." Hades informed the other while they walked and would periodically glance down at him despite the danger of walking into someone.

“Ah..” Persephone said quietly as he observed all of the spirits. He stayed close to Hades side, feeling nervous with what the other was saying. He stayed at the others side, holding Hades tightly. He noticed all of the eyes staring at him, feeling very embarrassed that everyone was staring at him.

Hades sensed the younger god's discomfort but he didn't know how else to reassure him, Persephone was already as close to him as possible. "They're only curious, I'm sure that by tomorrow no one will care if we're out in the city or not." He commented quietly to the smaller man and looked for trouble or anything new, though he doubted something had surfaced since he was last there.

“Okay..If you say so” Persephone said as he grip and body seemed to relax. He still stuck by Hades side, still not used to the stares. He got stared at a lot on the surface but he was used to that. This was a whole other ball game. Persephone and Hades finally reached the market, getting a good look around.

"The market is such a busy place I can't say it's safe but you're much more likely to run into a thief than someone violent." Hades informed the younger man but part of his attention was focused on peering into the minds of the dead and stopping trouble where he sensed it might arise. As a result the corner of the market they walked through appeared more calm than what Hades had described.

Persephone felt like it was a lot calmer than what Hades described, but figured it was Hades being there that made that happen. He went quiet as he took his time to take in the sights of the market. For being in the underworld, it was rather nice...He saw so many shiny things and variety of objects and trinkets.

Hades kept watch over the crowd and did his duty as ruler, however he would have much preferred being able to give the young man of his arm all of his attention. It was pleasant to have him so close even if he was clinging to him out of fear and he imagined holding him against his chest again. He wasn't sure any more of his own reasons for taking Persephone and being so possessive of him.

-"Do you want to see other places, or to go home?" Hades offered and hoped the younger god would ask to be somewhere more private so they could at least both relax.

“I have had enough for one day..” Persephone said with a shy smile, a bit more relaxed but still pressed at the others side. He leaned his head against thre others side, wanting to be shown somewhere with maybe less of a crowd. He just wants to be able to take it easy today and not worry..

Hades agree with a small nod but started in a direction different than the one they'd come from. They'd gone out so the younger man could see more of the underworld so returning to the palace following a different path seemed like a good way to accomplish that.

-"You're very fond of me all of a sudden." Hades commented on the way the other god leaned into him but he hoped he wouldn't discourage him.

“Hmm? I mean..You are taking care of me..And you did get me out a terrible situation. I might as well enjoy my time here” Persephone said with a small smile. “Sorry if I am being too clingy..I am a very loving god, I am no Aphrodite but I love a good cuddle” He laughed with a big smile on his face.

"I'm glad you enjoy holding onto me." Hades smirked but started to laugh softly at the younger mans apology. "I don't think Aphrodite would cuddle up to me... but I prefer you any way, you are prettier and she can't grow flowers to make the underworld nicer like you do."

Persephone turned a bright red at the others comment. P-prettier..than the goddess of love? Him? It made him feel all funny inside and knew the goddess would be insulted if she knew someone was called more beautiful than her..especially by the god of death. “No..I suppose she can’t..” He laughed shyly as he was still a beat red.

Persephone's blush was hard to miss and Hades smiled, satisfied with himself for making the younger man so flustered. "You look so cute when you blush, your face almost matches your hair." Hades commented, speaking without a filter unaware that the other god might not like his blush being pointed out.
