yojichan Posted September 20, 2011 Share Posted September 20, 2011 You are my sun You shine on me too brightly it hurts my eyes You wake me up when I don't want to You beat on me when I don't need you to Times like these I wonder why I even bother Times like these I think of you as a bother Times like these I want to sink lower than ever But you grin at me like I need you to Why won't you leave me alone Why do you keep following me Why do you have to wake me from my dreams Please let me go now, I need more sleep But you never listen This is how our routine has always been You smile on me when I don't need you to You watch while I throw a pillow at you You grin at my profanities You just keep shining brighter than ever You know I can't let you go You take too much pleasures in my anxieties You know that in a few minutes I will follow you My face always defy what I truly feel for you You know that I love you You know that I can't live without you So even if I need more slumber Your rays keep reaching me further You love it when I squirm underneath you You love it when I scream to stop you This is a weird setup if you must know Taking too much fun in each other's annoyance We love each other too much to let go of this penance Because you know I can't live without you Because you know I always betray my feelings for you Because you know that underneath this frown is a chuckle And you know how happy you make me feel doing what you do. AUTHOR NOTES: This is something i have written way back when. the inspiration was so much different. but as i read it now, i can't help but relate this to Misu's perspective on his relationship with Shingyouji. My MisuShin-inspired poem "A Love Undefined" was taken from Shingyouji's perspective. "You are my Sun" is from Misu.
