Masayuki Itou | Twenty three | Male* | Bottom | Human** | 5'7 | Slim | AVAILABLE

*But due to being a Doll he has a womb and he can give birth.

**His real species is Demonoid Wendigo Doll, but he thinks he's human.

Personality:

He is a very good hearted person and believes that there is something good in everyone. He's very good at reading people and especially children because they're so obvious. He likes to work a lot and do a lot of good as if to try and balance out all the bad things that happen to people. He has a tendency to be very negative towards himself and he's very insecure and feels like he can forget all about it when he sees someone else because he made them feel a bit better. He also suffers from Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Anxiety and some hallucinations.

Biography:

He lived his childhood very isolated in the woods with his mother and father. Eventually, his father started to show up home less and less, till he almost as if vanished. One day, Buro woke up in the middle of the night just to be found out he was all alone. He wasn't even in the house, but at the bottom of an empty well. There's no record of how he survived or how long he was down here, but it left a trauma in him.

He lived a few years in an orphanage, until his father "adopted" him. He got taken into an abandoned mental asylum, where some slight 'tweaking' happened. He was gagged and bound most days in a room with no light, blindfolded. Neuro fed him and in desperation for survival, Buro obeyed. Eventually, Neuro brought one of his toys - nicknames Esu - in and put them into the same room as Buro. Esu helped Buro free and in turn Buro helped him into freedom. To make sure that Neuro wouldn't go after Esu, they faked his death. When Neuro discovered his lovers' dead body, he went into a psychosis and as promised, Esu gave off their location in an anonymous tip. Buro was taken into custody and he did his best to doom his father to a life in isolation, but due to his simplistic nature, he couldn't provide much, his body being the biggest piece of evidence they had.

Afterwards, Buro, now under witness protection and using the alias Masayuki, went to college and started to learn about childcare services. He wanted to become a childcare worker for troubled children, but he had a massive burn out at the last steps and had to find his footing properly again to re-try. He'd worked in a few kindergartens for work experience and found a part-time position in one. It still wasn't enough to provide him with full funds for what he needed monthly, so he asked his co-workers if they knew something. One of them suggested that he could become a therapy companion, due to the fact that he seemed to have a calming effect on the children. It lead him to becoming a companion, but he was the one who made a step to go for high risk environments.

Facts:

- He's in witness protection. His real name is Buro Saiko.

- Selectively mute, knows ASL.

- His eyes are really a brown color, but he wears pink contact lenses.

- He works as a therapist in high tension environments; prisons, juvie, mental asylums etc.

- He also sometimes fills in at a local kindergarten during holidays.

RP Premise:

Your character is in prison, juvie, mental asylum etc. and Masayuki is the assigned therapy companion for YC. The initial road is rocky and they reject Masayuki, but he's very persistent and eventually gets past YC's guard. They end up becoming friends. Eventually when YC gets our of the high stress environment they were in, they end up seeing Masayuki heading into an alley. Wondering what he's doing, YC rushes in only to find Masayuki... and the dead body of a man.

Masayuki handled all of his communication via an e-mail as it meant he didn't have to talk. Not that he couldn't nor that he refused, but... he couldn't. Due to this little flaw if his, he got along best with children who practically read him like a book, as he read them too. They didn't need words to communicate properly, something that Masayuki had learned. Some of the children had even started learning sign language for him and he had started to pick a few words from them himself.

One of the children in specific had some behavioral issues that Masayuki hadn't solved, but rather eased. After this, his co-workers gently suggested that he could try being a therapy companion. Ironically, the role was usually reserved for creatures like dogs and cats, but due to the way he was, they allowed him to give it a go too.

He had done it a few times already with success. Hearing about this, some people had started to request him in specific and it had created some demand, especially on the 'difficult' alignment. He didn't mind it too much, feeling so much better seeing people getting better, becoming more like themselves and at the same time, he too healed. Slowly, he was undoing what had been done to him and maybe, eventually, he could fully forgive what he had gone through...

Or so he thought, until he met Cage. The boy was young, rather beautiful too in terms of beauty and due to the lack of knowledge about Cage, he quite didn't know where to start... so he slapped his cheeks twice as he looked at himself in the mirror and then made his way out with his backpack. He cycled his way towards the facility where Cage was and parked his bicycle to the assigned area. Afterwards, he logged in as a visitor and was allowed to see Cage. They spoke to him and Masayuki nodded, giving a small 'un' every now and then to let them know he was still listening.

Once at Cage's door, Masayuki politely knocked and waited a few moments before he entered the room. The attendant stood behind him and announced him. "This is Masayuki, your Therapy companion." after which they turned to look at Masayuki and gave him a pat on his shoulder with a "good luck" before they left. It was never about luck.

Masayuki bowed to Cage before entering his room and he put his bag on the floor. He tapped the small table in the middle of the room as an invitation before he pulled out a notepad, a big sketch book and multiple media, including graphite, colored pens and even some paints. He took the notepad and scribbled down. "I'm Masayuki and I keep you company. Want to draw/color with me?" After which, he hastily frowned and continued scribbling. "I can't speak, but I write OK." After which he contently pushed the notepad towards Cage and smiled softly.

Cage didn't even look up when he heard a knock on the door, he was crouched down as usual, knees tucked up to his chest and his head resting between them. Kind of like a small huddle, as if he were cold. But that was never the case. It just felt better this way. His room was boring, but that didn't matter since he had been trapped inside his own mind even outside stimulus meant nothing to him on most occasions. Things got ugly when what was trapped inside his head got out, and everyone around him would have to pay. But mostly it was Cage himself who suffered alone, because no one could see what he saw, or feel what he did. They didn't even try to understand him, he felt. And even those that did would never get it so it was all just a waste of time.

He craved solitude, and yet the warmth and contact that he lacked seemed only to make his inner turmoil worse. Nothing grounded him to reality, his reality was what was inside his mind, and it was pure hell.

They were speaking again, introducing someone but Cage didn't appear to care. Or rather he couldn't pay attention to their words. But when just Masayuki remained things were so silent that he had thought they had both left, but then there was a soft scratching sound. Like pen on paper, that was new... And the foreign sound seemed to capture the dark haired male's attention, and for the briefest of moment a pair of blue eyes so piercing meet the other's before shifting downward again.

He just sat there, not moving or saying anything for the longest time he was certain that the new guy would just leave, frustrated like everyone else or worse yet try to close in and pay the price for getting too close to someone unhinged. Cage didn't mean to hurt them. but it was out of his control when they didn't follow his mind's rules. Not that they were his own, they just existed.

Then that sound again... scribble, scribble...

It was something different and he seemed to latch on that, and slowly the male uncurled himself. First his arms peeled off his legs, and then those two stretched out. He leaned against the wall for support as he found his footing, his muscles aching from being in such a weird position for hours on end almost every day and night. He couldn't stand, so he simply crawled forward, shuffling on hands and knees, perching on the opposite end of the table and looking down at the papers, the words written blurred as he struggled to read them. His mind said he couldn't, but it was too important to ignore. His fought mentally with himself, hand shaking as he reached for a pen and closed around it like a fist, and then touched it to a paper, hand clenched so hard around the instrument that his knuckles were pure white, struggling to connect with this man who did not speak either.

C A G E

His name written in the most haphazard way, almost illegible. But yet somehow, it was a breakthrough.

It was a small step, but he smiled softly when he saw the boy uncurl out of himself, almost like a blossoming flower. And he was going to nurture this flower. He didn't make too much of a move as the boy crawled closer and patiently waited to see where the boy would sit. There was a small gap between them, but Masayuki didn't mind. The more they would interact, eventually that gap would close. He was very patient and didn't mind waiting to see the fruits of his labor, but it seemed like many of the people dealing with this boy hadn't felt the same way. As someone with a trauma himself, you couldn't just expect everyone to open up in the snap of a finger or at the simple use of hypnosis. To be quite honest, he felt a little bad for Cage.

He patiently waited to see what Cage would doodle, draw or write and didn't peek until he was finished. He saw the scraggly letters that spelled out his name and it made him smile. He took another pen for himself and another note pad, making sure to write neat and clear, something he had struggled with for a good while, which is why he took his time. They weren't in a hurry. "Here to keep you company. Let's play." He showed Cage the second notepad, designating them as "Masayuki's" which he wrote on the one that he's holding, then he opened it to write to the inside. "That's yours." He held the notepad close to the boy, leaving it close to Cage to look at/read as he pulled out a bigger pad - a sketch pad - and put it on the table.

He took a yellow crayon and held it nearly like a chopstick as he pressed it to the paper and started drawing a spiral to the right top corner. Afterwards, he picked the orange crayon and drew some lines around it, as well as re-twirled the orange through the yellow crayon trails. He pushed the crayons, pens and other media towards Cage with a small encouraging smile, hoping the boy would get his suggestion of joining him.

Masayuki was handing him over his voice. Cage didn't know why the other would trust him with something as precious as that, it seemed like a really big responsibility, one he didn't feel he had earned. But yet he picked up the notebook so delicately, almost holding it like a fragile piece of glass instead of the leather and pages that it really was.

He cocked his head again at the delicate hand writing, his mind taking much longer than appropriate to decipher the words. Language was something almost foreign to him, he had been taught to read and write a little when he was younger. But was never given the chance to hon on it. Communication for him was something more animalistic, with his body language speaking louder than words.

His striking blue-ish grey eyes followed intently the other's fingers as they commanded the colors to blend together like a ray of sunshine. It was memorizing, he couldn't stop watching the way a sunset appeared like magic on the paper from Masayuki's hands.

However when it was Cage's turn to give it a go his own actions were a far cry from the work of art, his hands gripping clumsily around the crayons, being attracted to darker shades of blue, black, and red being violently mixing together on the paper with no rhyme or reason, just a blur on the page.

As Cage started to draw as well, Masayuki observed him, the colours he picked and the shapes he drew, most of them were very much in disarray. He had felt exactly the same way before, but now he knew who he was (or at least more so) and he smiled softly. He shifted around the table, to the opposite side of Cage and allowed the male room to draw. He himself drew stranger things; pink bunny rabbits, blue monkeys with a swirly tail and a tiny green mouse.

Once he felt a bit more comfortable, he tapped Cage's hand to get his attention and then showed the male the crayon he was holding: blue. Then he pressed it nearby the haphazard blur, giving it ears and a trunk. It was not an elephant, but rather a weird hybrid in between an elephant and a cat. He pulled his pad closer. "It doesn't have to make sense." He also drew the creature whiskers and then atop the haphazard mess of a head, drew a a yellow octopus with only one tentacle that twisted around and ended up round. "It's giving you potato finger up, because you good today." His own writing was quite simplistic, but that's only because he still sometimes struggled with English words.

Unfortunately, it didn't take too long until there was a buzzing noise and Masayuki turned towards the door with a smile, yet it faded. He thought he'd have more time. He looked at the watch he had on his wrist and his eyes widened. He'd already spent his hour in here. He frowned and almost as if pleading for extra time, but no luck. "Cage will be eating in five minutes." Masayuki frowned and turned towards Cage, hastily scribbling to his notepad. "I will come and see you again." And as he did, he took most of the media and left Cage with the crayons and the drawing pad. Just as he was leaving, he turned to look at Cage and smiled at him softly as he was ushered out by the caretakers.

They seemed astonished with his process so far, knowing that Cage hadn't even bothered to move before. And so, they decided to allow Masayuki to meet the male again.

Cage was done drawing, it had been a lot of work expressing himself through all the different colors. Now he just sat back and watched almost as if by magic, animals appearing on the page his therapy companion was drawing. They weren't scary like he thought most animals to be, and he wondered if these were Masayaku's friends. Even if they only existed inside his head. He chewed thoughtfully on the edge of the marker, not realizing that the other probably didn't appreciate his art supplies being treated like a toddler was handling them. He just liked the hard feeling of plastic against his teeth, but soon they began to ache so he stopped and gave them back.

The light touch to his hand was anything but, it felt as powerful as being slapped. Yet without the negativity or pain associated, it still shocked him though. And he just stared at the other for a long moment before he titled his head again as his own page was given a new life. The blur was no longer just that, but some kind of creature. He touched his finger tip to the end of the octopus's tentacle, as if expecting it to reach back.

Masayuki was right, things didn't always make sense. But he had not expected the other, or rather the little yellow character on the page to tell him he was good.

Cage knew he wasn't good at all, he was bad. Very bad. Why did they think otherwise?

It was time to eat, but Cage was not hungry and he did wish to stop drawing with his new companion. But since Masayuki did say he would come back he decided it was best to cooperate because then maybe he would get in trouble and never see him again. So he ate a light lunch, barely picking at the food in front of him. He had very peculiar tastes and the food here was not very good in his standards.

When Masayuki returned later he seemed to perk up a little again, very subtle, yet when the other came in and he remembered their session before immediately went to the table. Waiting eagerly for the other to join him.

To be honest, out of all his current clients, Cage left an impression on him. Whenever he had a session with... very much anyone, it seemed one sided. They usually spoke and he reacted meekly at them, holding their hand during therapy or offering them an ear. Because of his mutism, he couldn't exactly speak and give them better encouragement than what he currently could give, he felt very... inadequate. And then he visited Cage and those thoughts went away. Being with him was... simple. They spoke through the notepads and they drew things. A lot of things. Things that didn't make sense. Occasionally, Masayuki gave Cage different drawing requests. Draw how you feel today. Draw me something you like. Draw me something you don't like. They were always followed by small conversations in notepads. But somehow, this way, he felt like he was making a difference. Maybe not something immediate, but this he found very satisfying.

During one of those visits, he had just finished scribbling a yellow egg that was holding it's hand out to a cucumber, he slowly stopped drawing and then scribbled into the notebook. "Can you tell me?" He forwarded it to Cage and awaited for a reaction. Once he got it, he pulled his pad back and wrote again. "Do you not like speech?" He blushed a bit and scratched over the last word. "to speak?" He moved his lips to voice the word to see if it made sense and it did. He forwarded the pad over to Cage and awaited for the boy to respond back.

Cage seemed perplexed at first when the other took back the notepad, and then an almost disappointed expression came over his features. But it was hard to see such, as his expression always tended to remain the same no matter how he was feeling.

It felt strange that Masayuki would ask him this. He thought the other understood him, if not that then accepted this was just the best he could manage.

The idea that Masayuki was also growing tired of him made it feel like an insect was crawling underneath his skin, he clutched a hand around his arm and dug his nails in, slightly scratching himself to rid the feeling something bad was about to happen.

Taking in a small breath he released his arm so he could pick up the crayon and wrote back.

"This is how I speak."

He pushed the notepad and crayon back towards the other male, but by now it was too late. Cage had already tucked his head back into his chest and refused to look up, curling in on himself slightly.

When he saw the male's reaction, he frowned. Not to the boy, but to himself. He'd made him withdraw. Masayuki looked at the watch on his wrist and noticing that they had ample time still, he moved a little bit closer to Cage and took the pad. "Me too." He wrote, but he wasn't sure if the boy was going to look. "I can speak, but voice not work." He scribbled it fast and afterwards tried to make it look clearer. "I want to hear your voice. Sometime. When you're ok." He placed the pad on the table and tapped it to see if he could get Cages attention.

Regardless of it, he put his hand on top of the boy's head gently and ruffled his hair. He didn't know whether touching him was a limit, but they had been occasionally sitting close, so he hoped Cage wouldn't mind. He started humming, which in his case was less noise and more vibrations. He sang it to the tune of Clair de Lune, a song his mother had hummed to him many a time as a lullaby. He still couldn't explain why, but even though the song itself sounded sad, when his mother had hummed it to him, it had made it sound happy. It still made him feel warm inside as he gently petted Cage's head, humming the familiar soft tune and hoping that it would calm Cage down, just like it had calmed him down as a child.

By now Cage couldn't even hear the somewhat frantic scribbling of crayon on paper. If Cage had he would have known the other was trying to tell him something, but it was lost on him.

He didn't want to see what the other had said, because he thought it was something bad. That Masayuki was scolding him like the rest of the doctors did and had only pretended to be his friend.

He was deeply upset, feeling betrayed by someone who he thought was the same as him.

Touching any part of Cage was akin to sticking your hand into a rabid starving tiger's cage. In other's words it was like asking to be maimed. But instead of feeling that ugly, poisonous feeling of rage well up inside him he felt something else.

The male couldn't even describe what he was feeling. It was a mixture of relief, but also something that felt almost worse than murderous instinct.

It was sorrow. And he didn't know why he felt so heart broken, but also comforted at the same time.

Cage leaned his head into the other's hand, letting the other's song travel down from his throat, to his arm, and then right into the male's broken mind.

If Cage could cry, he would have. But not a single sound came out even as his body shook gently, the only thing betraying his true emotions were the silent tears flowing down his cheeks.

Masayuki remained with Cage until the time for him to leave was upon them again. Masayuki took care to scribble onto the notepad to let Cage know that even if he had to go, he was going to be back for their next playdate. However, he still held Cage close until the time came and then pulled away, tho not completely. He gently patted the boy's head and even went as far as to press his forehead to Cage's, as much as he could. With that, the doctors announced the leaving time and Masayuki quickly scribbled onto the paper again. "Next time we play more." He even offered the male a smile before he had to pull away. For some reason... he felt an immediate pull to go back, which was... unusual. He felt a bit upset, but mustered himself to walk away.

But he felt antsy. Like he had to go back as soon as he could again. But he couldn't, until the next allocated appointment. He had to keep things separate; friendship and professionalism. Sometimes his baby brain still got in his way and made some really childish mistakes, especially when they involved care and feelings. This happened sometimes, especially with some of his younger and abused customers, but he'd never acted on them before. This shouldn't be any different.

He was happy when they requested for another appointment and suggested that he should try to get cage more used to contact as well. So, from that day onwards, instead of sitting opposite of Cage, he sat right next to him and allowed their arms and knees to touch while they doodled and spoke through the paper.
