I first heard of yaoi while editing my friend's yaoi story(which grossed me out at first ._.) and afterwards while reading fanfiction. All the female characters were wimpy and/or abusive so the only way to get two strong(not abusive) characters together was either genderbending a male or yaoi. XD I was really into LuffyxZoro at the time

 

Also het got boring after a while ... it's always the same ... or I think it is anyway ... ^^;

I loved it. Actually when I first saw yaoi I was looking for it. I got tired of reading gay fanfics so I started looking for mangas/anime just for fun. I didn't expect to find anything but a lot of search results came up so I was hooked.

It was during high school, I ran an underground exotic book rental at my school (I'm very serious, you can ask the people I went to school with), but I also even did manga rentals.. Well my three friends came to me and asked for a book rental and they would trade this manga as coverage. Well me loving to read new manga accepted with no questions asked. Got home, seeing two hot guys on the cover, my first reaction was like oh this is going to be great!... and then I read it.. I was so surprised and curious that I couldn't put it down, getting butterflies in your stomach feeling with a major turn on... I was hooked. So reading the yaoi called Yellow, is what introduced me to this awesome world ^_~

I was a freshman and had never heard of it actually.I met some people in my orchestra class(who are my closest friends now)who liked anime and asian music and what not like me so we got along.One of them asked me If I watched or read it and I didn't know what it was.The next time I saw her she gave me a big book called J Boy .She bookmarked some things for me to read.The things she told me to read were cute but then I decided to read the whole thing and my mouth was open and I was in shock for awhile.It's different now in the present.I like yaoi a lot XD

First yaoi I saw was send to my by my friend. I was reading mangas and watching anime for a long time (I show m&a to this friend). I don't remember the title but it started in very innocent way and then it was very... DIRTY!

 

My first reaction:

 

It was really a big shock... my innocent mind... the scenes where so dirty, why she send me such hardcore thing? So, I needed few weeks to get myself together and give yaoi another go. You know, curiosity won Still I don't remember the title (I guess when you have paper copy of manga you pay more attention to titles... it was online and had like 7 chapters and guys were walking on the street at night... and one grabbed another's hand and this another one was ashamed to do it on the street... so they went to some apartment... and... well... yeah...). I liked it.

 

Sooo, then I watched some anime and read some other manga... I'm not an extreme yaoi fan but now I like it from time to time ^^ I regret nothing!

My 1st yaoi was "Boys Next Door" a friend of mine at school told me that Yaoi is really cool to watch because "It defeats all moral values" ^^ When she told me that I went on to "One Manga.com" (when it was still a manga reading site) and searched for shonen-ai comics and I found "Boys Next Door" I saw Loveless up there but didnt want to read it because it was "common" and the plot confused me lolz.

When I read "Boys Next Door" I was like "Oh my goshh??? Is this a girl? Wait, no no it's not!" Then after a while I looked up a couple others like Sensitive Pornograph (because my friend recommened it) and Bousou Kareshi. Oh my goodness that was an insane comic >.

The main reason why I liked yaio so much was because the sex scenes weren't all about BOOBs. Before I started out slow with simple yaoi and then went on to hard yaoi and now I love it because it's so cute^^

I remember when I was 13, a friend of mine (who so happened to have the same name as me too!) told me about boyxboy and yaoi. I wasn't disgusted because she paired up my two favorite anime guys up and I actually found it cute and funny but not particularly interesting. Later, when I was sick of all the 'girly' animes and straight relationships started to get boring, I found a doujinshi from Kingdom Hearts that was NOT censored... Yes I was disgusted but I found it cute and so, I censored their... stuff myself. So, yeah That's my reaction to yaoi
