Nice to meet you all~ I'm Nitro+Chiral_Fan, but since that's long, you can call me Nitro. ^^ I stumbled on this forum while searching for a missing track from my Sweet Pool drama CD, and of course I looked around after that (why leave a yaoi-centered site, really XD). I found that this forum looked quite alive and interesting and friendly, so I decided to stick around ^_^ I don't really know what to say here...so here's a bunch of random information about me! I’m a female, I’m old enough to drink ^_~, I live in Quebec, Canada (my first language being French, I’m sorry if I do stupid mistakes here and there, I’m still learning English, and what’s a better way to practice than to talk about yaoi *fufufu*), I’m a criminology student, My two main passions are music and yaoi~~~ As for music, I’m into Visual Kei/j-rock and metal from all over the world (and I looove talking to fellow VK / metal fans *0*), As for yaoi, well, I’ve been introduced to the genre many many years ago and my love for it has only grown since then. I am obsessed with voices!! *_* Drama CDs and yaoi games are my favorite things in the whole world. There’s nothing better for me than two seiyuu with sexy voices acting a steamy sex scene *nosebleeds*. As my username suggests, I’m a diehard fan of the Nitro+ game company. Other than CDs and games, I read/watch anything yaoi I can get my hands on, though I tend to be bored of classic yaoi styles and situations like schoolboys stories (I’ve seen it too much by now ^^’’’). This time around I particularly enjoy older, more mature characters (oyaji *.*). That’s all I can think of for now, but if you have questions or want to know more, feel free to ask! I'm Asian, and to be honest, I also love yaoi. I also liked music, and watching Asian T.V shows. I am so fascinated about Japan, though I don't live there. I can't think of anymore commonness between us, but I would like to know more about you. Don't worry, I'm not a threat or something; just a simple fangirl Uhm, I have a question... do you watch only anime yaoi or even a real yaoi (I mean, two real boys kissing..) Uhm, well, sorry if that might sound offensive... but it's okay if you don't want to answer me, really. I would be so happy if I could somehow learn some French from you! Hope we can be friends! As for your question, I don't mind answering at all : yes I also appreciate real life yaoi *_* In the form of fanservice as well as Japanese GV. I'm a bit less of a fan of boy's love movies (like takumi-kun for exemple) though. chiakaiyuki : oh yes, VK is love!! And criminology was my second profession choice (in case I don't get into forensics; I still love both)!! I sort of really admire you right now OTL I've seen lots of yaoi games before, but...well, I never had the patience to actually download one. You say you feel honored o.o *blushes* I'm not worth it really ^^''' French is my mother tongue so I have little merit. As for criminology I'm still a student, I don't consider myself a criminologist just yet. I can't wait to start working though ^_^ You getting into forensics is just as impressive! Back on yaoi : don't be ashamed, being a schoolboys fan is perfeclty fine XD I liked that style for way longer than two years, don't worry ^_~ And about yaoi games, it's too bad that you haven't given them a chance yet. It's well worth it in my opinion. But yeah I admit they take a lot of patience to enjoy (setting them up is one reason, playing for hours to get bits and pieces of action is another XD). Actually I find criminology far less dificult than the previous studies I did (which were Japanese language studies. Now THAT was hard x.x Hence the reality check and my decision to go for something that would leade me somewhere serious : criminology *0*) I really really hope that you can realize your dream and study forensics!! People who found their real passion are so rare, I say go all out and fight for it, don't let the dream go even if you have to go abroad. Anyways, I'm also a newbie here, and also a newbie on the yaoi genre! That's why I really can't talk much about yaoi because I'm still discovering it.*sigh* Do you know of some really great anime since you've long been a fan of it? And oh...I haven't tried watching live action yaoi. In fact, I don't think I'm ready for it.XD. But I do get the point of seiyuus with sexy voices doing it...haha.XD. Since you're new too, I'll say Welcome~~ as well ^^ For yaoi animes, well, a good place to start would be the Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi series, which are classics if you like sweet romantic stories~ If you're interested in more darker and touching stories (and if you don't mind the retro graphics) you could watch Mirage of Blaze, one of my personal favorites. Since you're into sexy voices as well, you could watch the Koîsuru Bokun OAVs : one of my favorite seiyuu's in it, acting the uke part, and he's a real killer in that role~ And lastly, if you like the idea or reading a good manga and compleating with an anime (because the anime on it's own isn't so clear...) Sex Pistols is a good pick also. I hope that helped ^__^ But hey, there's a lot of other suggestions on this forum, so search around and you'll find something you like for sure. Takatsu Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Thanks a lot nitro-chan. I've finished Nakamura-sensei's works, and I'm so happy that I started off with yaoi with these two. In fact, they are so addicting that I still find it hard to discover new anime. That's how it goes for me once I get so into something that I love. But I will check those once I think i'm ready!XD. Nitro+Chiral_Fan Posted January 2, 2012 Author Share Posted January 2, 2012 I can understand, Junjou and Sekaiichi are solid works to start with. ^_^ They're also the longest yaoi anime made so far, from what I know, thus I hope you won't be disapointed by the lenght of most other yaoi anime (meaning 2~3 episodes or a single season).
