Viruses in my computer

Well, like the title says; my computer alwyas gets attacked by virus whenever I'm here at YO. Sometimes that stops me from coming here since my computer gets all slow, etc, and sometimes I even find some of my data missing. Key, errm, would there be a way to fix this? Since I really don't fancy being put off this wonderful site just because of the virus that are here. I hope it's just some bugs and can be fixed soon...

The site definitely doesn't have any virus. There are only 2 things that can cause that.

1. The ads that we have on the site could be wrongly perceived as viruses by some antivirus programs (because some antivirus programs detect as potential viruses anything that is added on the site from an external link, even if it's just a simple ad).

2. We are still using the 4.0 version of vBulletin, not the latest version.

 

About the fact that it slows down the computer, it's because of the RAM usage, not because of some virus.

 

I'll try to upgrade to the latest version maybe this week. It might take from a few hours to up to a few days until the upgrade is done, also some features of the forum as well as some styles might be lost.

I asked for a full server scan and here are the results. As you can see, 0 hits, 0 cleaned, so the server is clean. (As I said before, some antivirus programs might WRONGLY detect as virus some ads on sites)

 

Here is the scan report I got from the server provider:

maybe ur hardisk already full....cek ur program, delete ur temp, clean up history, defrag ur disk, or up grade ur windows especially the apperance it can make ur loading slow......or check ur computer --> tools if there are folder option, u can find ur virus not much dangerous, if u already lost it, say good bye to ur data (last month it happening to my brother lappy, he was not bear to execute =delete all data=, cos if itsnt so the lappy cant be reinstall or enter to windows).

i give u my recipe;

1. 1st step, execute Virus in Memori

press Ctrl + Alt + Del --> tadaaa "Windows Task Manager" apperance -->click processes --> check it if u find some suspicious activity --> actually virus loading to the memory takin' exe file--> so to avert that virus, turn off exe file one by one based on user name with end process --> atention...dont turn off the file with category "System", "Local Service", and "Network Service", if u do it, u will find ur system "Hang or Freeze"even u find their last name .exe just leave it

2. 2nd step, Non-activity Virus in Startup

to make virus non- activ u need to throw it to the startup. Start-->Run--->msconfig------>then.... tadaa "System Configuration Utility" apperance --> pick startup -->if u an amateur, i mean u dont know where the virus and not, i suggested pick "dissable all" ---> u can enable it if the system already clean (sometimes i use this mode application or lock system to hiding my av collection....kekekekeke, sometimes i find my laptop dissapear)

this case different if u knowing whose loading file which used and not, or where virus and not--> using check box to select it

3.3rd step, delete Virus File from computer

menu--> Start--->Search, find EXE virus file (ex. Happy.exe) which u see it before loading at startup or memory --> usually that file were stand at folder Windows or System32 of WIndows --> if u already find "delete it" or get rid with shift+del

4. 4rd step, delete Virus from System Registry

Start-->Run--->regedit ---> find menu "Edit" choose "Find" (or press Ctrl+F) enter the virus name ex.Happy.exe --->click "Find Next"--->if u already find the virus file, delete all registry which contaminated by that virus

continue it with press "F3" or edit--> then "find next" usually the virus will be replaced in several place on registry --> cleaned it. so make sure ur registry actually free from virus

 

or i can suggest several tools if u afraid to do it...

CProcess--> its not anti virus it works like "Windows Task Manager" (Ctrl + Alt +Del), this tool can identify virus easily. the right program will added the company makin' (ex.Windows by Microsoft Corp).

Hijack This --> takin' place the MSCONFIG command. sometimes u can accesses msconfig due to virus. it work more detail like spyware which u planted on our Browser (BHO), and it can non-activity the virus or freeze it.

CCleaner --> otomatic cleaning ur registry. it can make ur loading more fast

anti-virus--> PCMav, AVG, etc. pick whatever u like (i dont have any)
