The first J-drama I watched was Hana Kimi (the older, not the new remake). I remember thinking "wow, this show practically crack!" XD I laughed so much, mostly because I wasn't expecting the show to be the way it was at all. From there on I started watching a lot of Asian dramas. The Japanese ones I've watched (NOT including BL dramas) so far are: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - Liked it a lot. It was very nice and funny. I like unusual couples XD Hana Yori Dango -It was alright. Like it a bit better than the Korean version. Nobuta Wo Produce - loved it! Liar game 1 and 2 + movie -loved it! Mind games are right up my street Ouran High School Host Club - It was fun. I haven't seen the anime, though. Mei-chan no Shitsuji - It was...unusual. I didn't finish it, it didn't really pull me in. Some of the Butlers were handsome, though XD Ikemen Desu Ne -didn't finish it. Thought the Korean one was funnier, and the guys hotter XD Koizora - Started it a while back, but still haven't finished it. Tokyo Dogs -watched the first ep. It's on my watch list. Bloody Monday 1 and 2 -I really enjoyed it! Kurosagi -I like Yamapi, I felt the plot could have been cleverer in a lot of places. Samurai High School - I enjoyed it! It was a fun ride XD Yankee-kun to Megane-chan - haven't finished it yet, but I will! Love Shuffle -At first I didn't think I would enjoy it, but in the end, I got through the whole show, and I liked it. Tumbling - Aww, it was so emotional! I loved it! And yeah, hot guys in tight clothes doing backflips and other dangerous stunts is very nice to watch indeed XD Zeni Geba - OMG, I have never seen a drama like it. The main character is a horrible person, and yet you can't hate him, but you can't love him either. And the ending!! Very painfun to watch, in a good way. Actor did very well in his last scene in the shed. Crows Zero 1 and 2 -Liked them very much! Kids -I really liked it. Death Note movies + L change the World -thought anime was better. I loved L, though. The movie about L was alright. Ryusei no Kizuna -did not finish. Was sort of good, but I thought some scenes were boring and I stopped paying attention. Yokai Ningen Bem - was like nothing I had seen before. I liked it! I had several 'awww' moments. The little kid was so cute with his little horns XD And of course, Kame is always nice to watch Battle Royale movies - I liked them, even though they're seriously brutal. I think they're definitely more mature than The Hunger Games. Binbo Danshi - didn't finish it. The Quiz Show 2 -I really liked it! I should watch the first series someday. Delicious Gakuin - I didn't finish it because I could only find subs up to episode 7, after that it's just raw. It was definitely one of the more original ones XD I mean, boys get kidnapped and taken to a cooking school, and they can't leave until they graduate. Never thought I'd ever find a show like that. Andro Posted March 23, 2012 Author Share Posted March 23, 2012 I just finished Sailor fuku to Kikanjuu (Sailor suit and Machine Gun in english). It's about a 17 years old girl, Hoshi Izumi, who lives together with her father. But her dad dies one day, and a man, Sakuma Makoto appears in Izumi's school. He tells Izumi, that she's the 8th generation leader of the yakuza gang, Medaka Gumi. Her dad would have to be the 8th generation leader but he died, so Izumi has to take his place. Of course, Izumi doesn't want it either, but when she discovers, that maybe her dad didn't die in a accident, and something is about with heroin, she takes her place as the Medaka Gumi's kumicho (leader). It's about a guy, Ataru who has autism and a special ability to discover every little things in a murder. One day he meets a detective, Ebina, who is investigating a death of a man in a factory. And from the information, Ataru gives her, she finds the culprit. Than she takes care of Ataru, who has a horrible past, and has nowhere to go. Nobody knows nothing about him, but he always helps the police to investigate cases. it has only one episode out yet, since the dorama started only last week in Japan. But I love it.
